Location music service is what Long Beach is about and the only reason to go back. The food was, well not sure what to say, buffalo mac and cheese was ziti with sauce and the burrito can out with French fries. Lol not sure what that was about. Pros: This is a fun place to hang out in Long Beach and get drinks at. They serve a generous amount of chips and salsa which is always appreciated. Cons: My review unfortunately seems to be consistent with many others. The music is extremely loud, loud to the point where it hurts your ears and you can't have a decent conversation with the person sitting across from you. The music is also scattered and can be unsettling when you're trying to eat your food. In the span of an hour and a half we heard classic rock, country, and "Tarantella Napoletana..." in a Mexican restaurant. The tacos were decent however, the beans and rice that were served with them was cold. I am also unsure why rice and beans were served with the burritos when the burritos already had rice and beans in them. The guac was surprisingly bland and did not have any citrus, salt, or spice to it. The green salsa was good but the red salsa was weak and appeared to use canned tomatoes. The restaurant also doesn't seem to be the cleanest place. Our waiter was nice but inattentive. We had to ask him for everything i.e. water, utensils, napkins, and the check. The service was slow and our waiter had to be flagged down for everything as he did not stop by our table to check in. I could see this as a fun place to only get drinks at as you hop around Long Beach but I would not come back for food/table service. It was sadly disappointing overall. read more

Note: this is a review for the bottomless brunch. At $24 per person for an entree AND three hours of bottomless drinks, you really can't beat the value of this place. Brunch technically runs from noon to 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays, although my friend and I showed up a little late around 1pm and were able to be seated immediately outside, which was a great way to enjoy the weather. Our server came over pretty quickly to take our drink orders. Included on the bottomless menu are mimosas, bloody marys, some draught beers, domestic cans, and margaritas in multiple flavors - so the selection is awesome. The mimosas and margs were pretty decent and strong, especially for a bottomless place. We tried pineapple, strawberry, and raspberry margs and thought the strawberry was easily the best. The bloody mary was, admittedly, one of the worst I've had before in my life, but it's hard to beat a (practically) free drink. Now, onto the food: We were immediately given a generous basket of chips and salsa (complimentary). The salsa was just okay (both tomatillo and regular tomato salsa), but the chips were actually really tasty and super salty, which I like. For our entrees, my friend ordered a chicken sandwich with avocado and I had the burger which I asked to be cooked medium rare. We both got fries with our meals, and the portion size was almost gross, which is exactly what you want when you're 8 margaritas deep. My burger was cooked medium instead of medium rare, which is wrong but much LESS wrong than nicer places usually get it, and was actually a pretty good burger. I was very pleasantly surprised as I find that the food at bottomless brunch places usually serves little purpose other than soaking up the booze. Our waitress was decently fast with refills. One thing that did really irk me, though, is that on the menu it clearly (or at least to me, a decently intelligent person) states that cheese comes on the burger, and they charged me extra for it. It's not a huge deal as I would have gotten it anyway, but it was a pretty flagrant misprint in the menu, which is annoying. Halfway through brunch, a really excellent live musician started playing, which was great entertainment. TL;DR: One of the best, if not the best, bottomless brunches I've been to in terms of value. read more

I give this place a good 5 Star experience. The staff is so friendly! They're also very quick. You can seat indoor or outdoor. They also have a little parking lot. I came here with my boyfriend and my best friend for lunch and it was so nice. They played some good tunes. The prices were decent. Nothing crazy. I got a frozen margarita which was delicious. They make them strong! Which I love. They give out chips and salsa. The salsa is a little too sweet but luckily they give out hot sauce to mix in. I ordered the Jamaican Jerk tacos. They were BOMB! SO SO Delicious. They chicken was made perfectly. Then avocado on top made it that much better. The rice and beans on the side were great. Loved it! 3 stars: good service, decent $9 Cabana Margaritas (plain & flavored) and decent woman's bathroom. The classic Cabana Margaritas w/o salt rim was refreshing, delicious and strong. The food isn't authentic. I ordered the tacos with shredded pulled Pork, included some ginger sauce and pineapple chunks. It sounded good until I saw the entrée. I saw dollops of what looked more like sweet chili sauce (similar to Lee Kum Kee jarred sauces). The pork seemed sautéed in oil, as a method to warm-up prior to serving. The oil sat atop the tortilla. I was glad the pork was mostly lean. They topped the side of black beans with 2 types of cheeses. The cheeses over-powered the flavor of the black beans. W/o the cheese, the black beans lacked salt and pepper. And the side of "yellow" rice...inedible. I didn't touch it, after 2 bites. I should've known better. Should stick to ordering the bar food items. read more

The whole ordeal took almost two hours (with plenty of open tables). The food was alright, but the wait was pretty ridiculous. Queso Chicken Wrap: 2.5/5, this was a letdown to say the least. It sounded great on paper but after the first few bites I realized it wasn't going to get much better. The crispy chicken was more soggy breaded, and the peppers were so overpowering it's really all you could taste. Jerk Chicken Tacos: 4/5, thankfully my girlfriend didn't like these so I was able to swap my wrap for these which in my opinion were much better. The jerk sauce was a little too sweet but overall these were much better than the wrap. The chips and salsa they serve before the meal were good, the salsa verde was better than red in my opinion but to each their own. Overall I'm kind of disappointed I didn't stick with the original game plan and eat next door but it is what it is. This isn't a place I'd come back to and it's not a place I'd recommend. BUT if you do go I'd say prepare to wait a while to be served. read more

Cabana or as we like to call it in the West End, Cabanazzz. I first heard of this local Mexican joint back in 2014, and from there I was hooked. They have the best Margaritas on Long Island with their signature proprietary blend of Tequila, Molly and Nosey Odonnels. A local Long Beach hero once told me don't have more than two, and boy was he right! If you're going to eat here, the puffy tacos are majestic, but we're really here for the Margaritas. One of my first experiences at Cabana was after a wine tour trip to Vineyard 48. My cousin and I were wrongfully accused of throwing bagels by lib feminists who were attempting to cover up a hit and run, so we stopped in to blow off some steam. Blow off some steam I did as I had 5 Cabanas and wound up turning my crew neck T-shirt into a V-neck, and put rice in my boy Crane's margarita. The other reviews for here are pretty spot on. I luckily got here on the earlier side of a Saturday night so I got seated right away for 3 people after about 10 mins there was a 45 min wait. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive during the beginning of our dinner. I enjoyed the salty Tortilla chips and salsa on the table before our meals (I liked the green salsa better). I ordered the beef chimichanga ($15) it was a full size burrito fried, topped with melted cheese with a side of rice and beans. The food came out not super fast, but we didn't wait forever so average time. The chimichanga while it was huge was just ok. It lacked in seasoning as did the rice and beans on the side. I asked for a side of sour cream and I liked it a little better with it. Once we got our food the waitress barely came back over to us. We asked for the check had to wait awhile, then when we gave the credit cards to pay it took a long time again to get the receipts (they can only take 2 credit cards per table FYI at least that's what our waitress told us) The place gets super loud when dining in and if you have a table in the front be prepared for people to be standing right on top of you. Decent sangria, good chips and salsa, meh entrees and service. I'd look else where for dinner. read more

This is the place to be if you're on the west end! Great crowd, STRONG drinks. I've been here for brunch with large groups multiple times. Make sure to make reservation! 3 hours bottomless margs, bloodys, mimosas and select beers- and they are not cheap with the booze. They will give you pitchers and keep them coming. One of the only places I've been which includes beer (YAY)! The total comes out to less than $30 (including 20% tip). What a bargain. This place gets packed and also has live music some days. The service is excellent. Your meal comes with chips and salsa. I can't really comment on the food because I've only gotten the quesadilla which is very yummy and tacos on taco Tuesday. $1 tacos( 2 drink min). Must try pulled pork & goat cheese tacos... I think the best part of my meal was the warm chips that is brought to your table once you sit down. My friend and I ordered guacamole to start. It was ok, but i saw the edges were brown, had jalapeño in it and no cilantro. No cilantro in guacamole??? We asked for some so we can mix and charged us for it.. I ordered the fried shrimp tacos but didn't enjoy the sauce it came with so I asked for a side of chipotle mayo. Charged $1 for it. I came here today as a group of 7. Checks were split into 3. We had a reservation so we thought everything would go smoothly. Once we received our menus, I was instantly hit with an awful stench. I thought nothing of it but when I picked up the menu it was super sticky and smelled putrid. We waited there for an hour and a half for our food. Our meals were simple and everyone around us was being served quickly. We ended up getting our food and it was decent, until I picked up my last taco and there was a hair in it. At first I thought it was just the oil, but then I picked out this split end as it came out. I was disgusted with the food and the service. Everyone was being very nice and polite but he young lady serving us had such an attitude and it was obvious she was not having it with us. Two members of the group got hamburgers and fries. I took a fry and I was disgusted. They tasted just like school lunch. The fries were cold and solid as a rock. Absolutely disgusting. We were stuck there for 2 hours and a half. We also asked for an order of guacamole and chips, not only did the waitress say it'd take a few minutes, but we waited for almost 35 minutes for just chips and guac. Does it really take that long to bring out a simple snack? The food came out 2 hours in. We sat there starving as this was practically our only meal of the day. One of my favorites on Long Beach. Never had a bad meal there. Favorites include the Spicy Mac n Cheese with jalapenos and chorizo. This is a must!
