I'm not even done with my meal yet and was inclined to start this. Hands down the best Torta I have been craving. It's massive and flavorful. This place has a small grocery in the same lot. Limited parking but the lot next door seems to be fine to park in. The shop is small but that shouldn't be a problem. I ended up getting the King Torta and this thing is massive and incredibly flavorful. With the loaded meat and cheese, this was too much for me to stomach in one setting. Which was exactly what I wanted. They offer some salsa options to go with the sandwich and the service was quick and sweet as the lady behind the counter took the time to take my order. I would absolutely add this place to a must go if you're into tortas. I'm really glad that a place dedicated to Tortas comes through. 10/10 would come back to try more. read more

Tacos very fresh, shrimp a bit tiny though. Chips and salsa are not free anymore. Guacamole on the salty side and very chunky. Lots of onions. Food on Sunday was amazing. Today is Wednesday. It's bland and very disappointing. When I brought the food back, before I could say anything she opens the registers to give me a refund. Like really?? Your not going to ask me what's wrong in hopes to fix it. She then goes on to say. I should try a different restaurant. I just tried this one and I liked it. Until today. They are "remaking" it. This is a place where #thatfattylife can thrive. I've met up here a couple of times with old friends because it ticks all of our boxes. The food is delish, the service is good and the price point is on target. We're definitely fans. We meet up kinda monthly for tacos and catching up..and we're picky, so any place that gets a repeat is good stuff. AND two of us have Mexican mothers that are amazing cooks that put most restaurant kitchens to shame....yet this has been the meet up spot. So, just to be clear, it's tasty. I'm a sucker for tacos, so that's normally my go to. Solid tortillas, great meat options (I'm a chubby pastor, chicharron, asada, lengua y tripas girl myself) and I always leave happy and content. Salsas are also life giving. The tortas tho...omg. I need to get that the next time...which is what I always say, but I'm serious. They're just too glorious looking to pass up again. And they have a gazillion options to choose from...yep, definitely tortas next time...which just might be today. Aguas are decent, don't be greedy and get a large...it's really too ginormous and cuts into your food consumption. Only sadness, parking can be a little rough. Ended up just passing by and decided to stop fir tacos. I got carry out for an order of el pastor and an order of steak tacos. In addition, I got two drinks. The woman was very kind and helpful and the total was only $20. She said it would be 5-10 minutes. Our food came out quickly and extremely fresh. Feels like a nice little hole in the wall when you first walk in. The server seems nice and helpful. If your not looking to tip, order to go. However if you choose to dine, you get some chips and salsa. I chose the king torta because it is like the all-in-one torta. Process are rather expensive when compared to places like @donpedros. I went here last week because I usually go to Las Tortas on Singleton/Old Norcross and I wanted to try something different. That have a very large selection and it all looks really good. The torta was very large, but when I finally bit into it, it was mostly bread. Not many toppings and no side bar like Las Tortas. It was good, but I was disappointed by the amount of chicken, especially for the price. I'll probably go there again and try some of the other dishes, but I'll stick with Las Tortas for a quick bite. read more

I am a gringo but I have eaten Mexican food ... in Mexico. I lived in south Texas for a while so I know authentic Mexican food from my travels south, not Tex-Mex. Tortas Gigantes is Mex-Mex. Don't be expecting Taco Bell or Del Taco - that garbage is as Mexican as Ricky Martin (that's because he is Puerto Rican). I had Camarones a la Diabla and it was a súper meal! It is kinda hard to get in and out of the parking lot and the place is small and crowded. It will feel like Saturday night in Laredo. Practice your Spanish and order in Spanish. This place is absolutely fantastic. I eat here at least twice a week. The staff is amazing and the food is always fresh. I highly recommend the asada tacos or camaron. Their sandwiches are amazing as well. The prices are very good. Honestly I would pay more for how delicious the tacos are. Again, this place is amazing and I've never had an issue. I'm very surprised to see that this place has such a high rating. I was very underwhelmed. Maybe I'm not the kind of person that is meant to appreciate this place and this time the food. But I have had tortas before. Even bigger ones. With much more flavor. And for less money. The staff was really nice, and all very attractive women. But the food was bland, tasted like cheap ingredients, and really had no flavor at all. I wouldn't eat there again, but they seem to be busy for some reason. The food wasn't what I expected. My boyfriend got the Milanesa torta and it had very little meat, and only had a bit of tomato and avocado in it. Was too much bread for very little meat. I got 4 tacos 2 del pastor and 2 de tripa. Every other place I go the tripa tacos always have a nice crunch to them and here they were squishy and I just didn't like them.
