Food is amazing!!! Prices are perfect! Serve is fast and polite! The food is authentic and is amazing! Now you do have a few days they can mess up your order But it is definitely worth a try. I go five days a week for lunch for the last three years. Sometimes on the weekend,! It's hard to find better than this unless you just wanted a giant taco that Tex-Mex restaurants use. I usually get mine to go, but I occasionally sit and enjoy the music playing. Little disappointed with this restaurant. Ordered nachos and they were a little colder than expected. I do understand there is sour cream and guac but it shouldn't make the entire meal cold. The temperature in the restaurant was like an ice box. Its probably fine on a hot day but it just added to making the food go colder even faster. The nachos did not have much flavor to them. I added salt just to give it more flavor. Usually I never have to add anything to nachos but these were different. I requested additional cheese and beans. The beans were runny which I found kinda strange. Usually the beans are thick at the other Mexican restaurants. One of the cashiers did not speak very good English so it was difficult to place an order. I had to find another cashier that spoke a little more English. This has been my favorite Mexican restaurant from 2006 to today. I used to have to goto Doraville but now there's one by my home. This location is usually well maintained and clean as long as it's not peak busy hr. The food has been pretty consistently good until today. The aqua Fresca was watered down, the enchilada sauce was off, and the barbacoa tacos tasted like they rinsed it in water before serving it to me. Literally a soggy soppy taco with no taste at all. Water still dripping out of the taco. Not oil or fat or lime juice... WATER. It was a slightly different staff and 2 people who looked like managers kept grinning and the tall light skinned one literally talked over me to the person behind me, with a huge smile, while I was telling them about these concerns. She had a mischievous smirk on her face the entire time. I guess they're doing well enough to start discriminating against customers based on prejudice and chismosas. Right after covid I had experienced a LOT of discrimination from Latino establishments but it had gotten better. Today was a reminder that it still exists. read more

Was looking to have a late Saturday night dinner. Our options were Don Pedro or IHOP. We decided to try Don Pedro. It's a counter service restaurant. You place your order at the register, they give you a number, and you pick up your food when they call your designated number. The lady at the register was not the friendliest, but she was nice enough. She answered all our questions. We tried: Queso with chips Taquitos Shrimp fajitas Flan The food and experience seems authentic. The food looked really good and came out exactly as pictured on the menu pictures at the register. However, the taste was just okay. My SO thought the cheese dip could have been hotter. It was warm. The taquitos came loaded with cheese on top and a side of guacamole. I couldn't tell what was inside. If I were to guess I would say chicken. The flavor was lacking. My SO's shrimp fajitas came with rice, beans, and tortillas. He didn't finish his entree. I sampled a few bites of the shrimp. Again, it was okay. I shouldn't have ordered the flan, but I wanted something sweet and it looked tempting. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. Side note: my mom makes THE best flan EVER, so it's hard for me to like any other flan. I took a few spoonfuls and put it away. It wasn't as creamy or as soft or as sweet as my mom's. Maybe I am just biased, but I did not enjoy it. I don't know how many times I can say "just okay" in one review, but the overall experience was just that. The place was clean, and it was busy for 10pm Saturday night before Easter. Ample parking available. Plenty of options. Reasonable prices. Our total was between $30-$35. read more

Went through drive thru several weeks ago not only did they not get our order right we had to place another order for what we didn't get and we ordered enchiladas suzi and when we got home it was steak instead of chicken which it come with chicken. Called them and they said they will replace it that was dec 29 - I went in today for my replacement and they said they would not honor my replacement like they said they would over the phone-showed them the copy of the receipt and a picture of the steak enchiladas instead of chicken - I was told that was from last year and over a week ago so they would not honor my replacement. I was honestly heart broken when I found this place was a little chain. I pride myself on eating at small/family businesses.. especially when it comes my tacos. We all know the best tacos are from those who put the love into those hand made tortillas. Anyways, Don Pedro still won me over. The tacos are simple and the place has pretty nice locals and staff. The first time I walked in, it was late and close to closing time. I asked for chorizo (they ran out) then something else (also ran out). I visit this location at least once weekly and the only issue is from time to time the meat is not properly drained of the oil prior to plating so the tortillas are saturated with oil. They serve pretty darn authentic Mexican food from what I can tell (my credentials: one spring break in Mexico and years of visits to various Mexican places around the country). Don Pedro is a great place to get some authentic Mexican food. I was truly excited about the new location. I think they've done a great job upgrading, but also maintaining their Mexican culture within the restaurant. There is plenty of parking that is right outside of the restaurant. They have a small patio area outside. They a ton of tables inside as well. When you walk in, you are greeted by the cashier. You order your meal right there and then they call out your number when you're ready. They food comes out pretty quickly. The prices are pretty cheap and reasonable here. I ordered a combo plate that came with two choices of tacos with a side of rice and beans. I ordered 2 Carne Asada tacos. The tacos were pretty good, but I've definitely had better. It's pretty authentic though, but not the best. They're the usual tacos that come with meat, onions, cilantro, and a lime. They have a ton of other options for meat apart from Carne Asada, but that's always my favorite. The rice and beans were also mediocre. I loved the sauce options that they had. I chose the very hot sauce and it was fantastic! I love spice, so the spicier the better. I think it added a lot of flavor to my tacos and to my rice and beans. They also have free refills on drinks. This is my regular place to go to when I am in the mood for Mexican food. I am from California and this reminds me of the Mexican place I use to go to. I pretty much recommend everything in the menu. A good sign of a good Mexican food is their beans and theirs are good. The tacos are one my favorites. Only con I can think of is prices have gone up.
