Time for an updated review. We ordered 3 wet burritos $12.99 each , 2 carne asada and 1 pastor. Also ordered carne asada tacos 2.75 each and a small bean dip with chips $7.99. The burritos were 10 out of 10. For sure hit the spot. The sauce on the burrito reminds me of fideo soup, iykyk, more of a tomatoey flavor versus an enchilada style sauce that you get at other establishments, but soooooo good! Also, the tacos were very flavorful! For sure give it a try! read more

Im very hesitant between the 3 and 4 stars so I'd rate it a 3.5 (review is for the food sold inside the grocery store) We order: 2 Ham breakfast burritos 3.5/5 This could of easily been a 5 star review but the burrito was so skinny. I at least expected potatoes, it was just beans egg ham and cheese. Now the flavor was there of homemade refried beans and huevito but it was just missing more something, potatoes or rice. For almost $10 I think a breakfast burrito deserves potatoes at least. Red salsa was really good and complimented the burrito 1 tripa taco extra crispy 5/5 Now this taco was BOMB! so good especially with their green salsa! Will definitely be back for this! *cue The Rock's voice* FINALLY I've FINALLY found a local go to breakfast burrito place in Antioch. I say it's local but it's actually a bit of a trek to drive here from my house because I've never really driven in this area of Antioch before. If you're not paying attention, you could very easily drive right past this tiny grocery store without noticing. Inside the store is a taqueria with a pretty large menu. I was only craving breakfast burritos so I bought three with chorizo - my usual go to - for just under $20. You can't beat that, certainly not from an actual GOOD taqueria in the area. The burritos were all REALLY good. Generous with filling, a decent size (not El Farolito in SF Mission District big but big by local standards), and came with some fairly spicy salsa on the side. Absolutely gem of a find and one that I will frequent more in the future. I've finally found what I've been searching for after years of looking and I couldn't be happier. Side note: parking can be a little difficult depending on how many vehicles are here when you drive in. When I arrived, I was able to easily park but more folks came by after I came back to my car with my food. You might also be in for a wait if large trucks come into the parking lot and block off the entrances/exits. I don't know how often those will frequent the area but it's a pain in the ass if you're already parked and you can't leave because of it. Don't let that stop you from coming here though. You'd be doing yourself a disservice if you don't. Next time, I really want to try the quesabirria tacos and I will absolutely be back soon to do so. read more

Not sure what'g going on at this place. They have gotten my breakfast burrito wrong 3 out of 4 times. All I ask for is a Ham, Egg, & Potato. No beans! Both green & red salsas are good! Sometimes they put the opposite salsa requested in your bag. 1st time was 5 star 2nd time Beans 3rd time Beans 4th time Chorizo instead of Ham ! lol oh well, I ate them anyhow! read more

The food is always prepared fast and fresh. Service is always served with a smile! I wish reviews did not have a minimum character limit.

Always on the lookout for good Mexican food when I visit my folks in Antioch. Nothing like mom's home cooking, but she needs a break too, and dad's cooking is atrocious (Sorry Pops!). After hearing complaints from my parents and brothers that there is NO good Mexican food out in that area, I took it as a challenge to find something decent. Being raised on Mission burritos makes finding a really good burrito difficult! Thanks to Daniel M and Mary W's reviews and the photos of the burritos that had been posted, I found this place and gave it a try. I'm super glad I did! This is a kitchen within a store that sells a ton of Latinx products (Mexican candy, sodas, dried chiles, etc.). There's also a butcher in the back. We definitely walked away with tamarindo candies, michelada cups, and sodas we did not need. I didn't see the meat on the menu, but my dad wanted tacos de cabeza, and they had it. He also had some tripe tacos. He nodded wide-eyed after taking his first bites, saying "These are good". A man of few words. My mom, the pickiest of the bunch, was also satisfied! Our burrito orders were all different, but they took the time and care to make each as ordered. The regular burrito was about $8 which is a great price these days imho. My brother got a wet (rojo) burrito, and it looked JUST like the picture from the Yelp photos with the avocado slices. Nice! The only slightly disappointing thing was the tamale; I ordered a chicken tamale which came in a green sauce. It was decent, just pretty dry, but that can happen to the best tamale maker :D All in all, I would definitely come back. Hell, I'll probably stop by again next week when I'm back in town! I wanted Mexican food fast and was in the area. The food is so good and the chips n salsa were on point. Salsa could be a bit hotter but the taste was good so I'll overlook the less spicy part. Definitely will be back. read more

I am not sure if this place is struggling or not but they have gone really skimpy on their food. I always ask to get my rice and beans on the side. I can't believe they put the sides in a sauce dip container. You can see how small the sides are with the lime on top. They also forgot to put my side of chips I ordered. On top of this I left a tip for my to go order. I left 2 stars because the food is good. The waitress was not as friendly as usual or maybe she was having a bad day? read more

Great burritos and salsas. Have also tried the Chile relleno, flautas and birria tacos.

Honestly this is the best taqueria I've found (always consistent) in the area. The people working are always super friendly , although you can't do a pick up order through Yelp(which kind of sucks having kids and going inside to order and wait) , they make the food super quick and ive never waited more than 10 minutes for a larger order . Highly recommend the super burritos, tacos , and menudo . We have often ordered trays of rice and beans as well. I honestly don't recommend the Birria tacos . The birria was bomb but the tortilla itself was not crunchy and more soft/soggy. Everything else we have tried is always good . read more

This is amazing food. Little hole in the wall that everyone should try. We ordered alot of food(for the whole family) everything tasted amazing and the service was quick. Prices are reasonable. Why would you get tacos from ANYWHERE ELSE, most slept on spot in Antioch. You know the Mexican food gets better the closer to the hood it is... Well s#*t, this area is hood & I ain't even trippin. (Pretty sure there's hookers outside 1/2 the time.) I grew up in South Stockton so really Antioch is a lil safer if anything, & being Mexican I know Tacos. My blood type is Burrito. Hands down.. the best Mexican food.. in Antioch. I used to live in Oakland and love the taco trucks out there. This is the only place that comes even close. I love that their salsa is really spicy. This restaurant is inside a supermarket so you can shop while you wait for your order! They didn't have the steak nachos but if you ask, they can make it since they have fresh tortilla chips. I was iffy about this spot, just due to the fact that when I ate it the first time, I wasn't hungry and so I basically ate it as left overs. I recently just went there this Sunday and had a huge order. No lie when I tell you that this place is a HIDDEN GEM, I tell you no lie! Literally authentic and DELICIOUS at that. They have a huge option of what they offer and I tell you when I said I had a huge order it was literally from tacos, to burritos, to birrira tacos (birrira soup is to be ordered separate) , to quesadillas, carnitas and carne asada plates, oh and their pozole special they had on Sunday. There's plenty of favorite taquerias, but hands down in the Antioch/Pittsburgh I would highly recommend this hidden gem to everyone. It is within a market store, but all the worth of waiting there for your order. I would suggest DO NOT order ahead of time, cause they are a lot quicker than you would think. I would rather wait to get there and THEN order your food, just cause it'll taste a lot better when you get it right after and take it home rather than ordering ahead of time and then getting there minutes later and taking it home and have to microwaving it. Found this spot off of my sister in law and she says its the most authentic cooking close to her families cooking. Literally, IT IS A GO TO after yesterday. If you are craving Hispanic food and can tolerate a small space and can be understandable to the lovely ladies taking your order, this is the place to be at for your cravings. Tiny taqueria inside of a mini-market. It's freezing in there! I had the juevos Mexicanas and it was VERY good. The scrambled eggs looked kind of dry but they weren't. This little hole in the wall restaurant is hidden inside a small Mexican market. I've passed by it hundreds of times never even considering too stop in. I just didn't realize it was more than just a small thrift store. Well I was very wrong. Not only is their a great restaurant the prices are cheap! Me and my fiance come here too get their Steak tacos because their delicious and cheap! We can get around 12 tacos with guacamole for $20 and both be full and happy. Their is also a marinated meat deli area in the back with a handful of marinated meats that look so good. I plan on picking some up too BBQ soon. All of the meats were priced between $2-$6 a lb but mostly on the lower side of those numbers. Don't pass this place by just because of the area or your uncertain it's worth the trip. read more
