Very good bread helpful staff fresh bread and good groceries and tortillas meat and other stuff

Visited this place and think it is uniquely appealing. They sell pinatas (not much though). And some nice mexican items you can find. I know a lot of people saw the mouse but they are a very friendly place to visit and shop. I am surprised they are still here since I recently moved here and found that almost 60% of downtown closed their stores. They have bathrooms just incase if your wondering. Just be mindful because I rarely seen stores like these in Antioch! Congrats for them to pass inspection! read more

So this place is... ok? I guess? Place doesn't seem very clean, the produce is disgusting, alcohol options are limited to Mexican beers (which I generally don't like), and the isles are VERY tiny. One person can barely fit though, and if you have a kid in your cart, they're easily going to be able to grab stuff of the shelves. This isn't the place you go for hardcore grocery shopping. This place is more "Well, I need milk and could use some chapstick, let's head on in real quick." They have a deli-ish area where they make food, like burritos and what not. Never tried it yet, but it looks good. I recommend treating this place like a glorified 7-11. read more

My favorite dive supermarket in Antioch. No relation to the Mi Pueblo market chain. This place is tiny and family owned. Looks like a corner market straight out of Mexico and the food and goods are just like in Mexico. They have fresh fruit, a taqueria, bakery, and panaderia. The bakery sells custom dulce de leche cakes and masa for tamales. They also have a fridge with a small selection of fresh salsas and ceviche. The panaderia is amazing! If I was rating this place just as a panaderia I would give it 5 stars. The sweet breads, cookies, and rolls are delish, way better than Mi Pueblo's. The bread is made fresh daily, super fluffy and not too greasy! Reminds me of Las Montañas in Concord. The place is tiny and a bit disorganized. The good news is you can get through the whole thing in seconds and the staff are very helpful. Sidebar- parking is very limited so park on the street in short term parking. Even though there is only one register you will be in and out in no time. read more

Such a convenient corner store. I come here to get beer, eggs, milk and bread. Parking can be a little rough and dangerous most of the time. Produce isn't the freshest BUT they always have fresh conchas and breads which are bomb! Really convenient if you live in the area. They also have a little taqueria inside , I have never tried the food but there are always people sitting and eating when I have gone in to grocery shop. read more

I've been coming to this store for years now and I really like it. The family and workers are nice, the food is great, BUT I ordered chorizo to make at home and it taste like straight cloves I know cloves are used a lot in mexican dishes (I use them myself) but I couldn't taste the chorizo, the cloves overpowered meat. I might not get my chorizo from here anymore, but i will continue to shop here. read more

Right when you walk in it smells delightful....Sweet smell of fresh baked pan and bolios. Not only does it smell sooooo good all the pan is so delicious. The conchas coming out from the oven straight to the rack for us to grab. So light and fluffy. Whatever they are doing they are doing it right. I think these are my most favorite conchas. If you are just cruising along stop by and treat yourself. You will not be disappointed. read more

If you ever craved mexican small tacos with tasty meat, onions, cilantro. and pineapple bits...this is the place! The tacos al pastor are to die for! Al pastor, is essentially slow roasted pork which is then fried crispy with pineapple. The tacos are $1 each! I have only tried their tacos, but they have a full menu offering burritos and other popular items. They also have a store with various hispanic items, a bakery and fresh meat and seafood. Since they opened I've been visiting at least once a week. Can't beat a tasty $5 lunch. 4 tacos and a drink! read more

Tacos here are really good. My boyfriend & I frequent here a lot on weekends for their tacos. We usually always get carne Asada tacos, and they're pretty cheap too! $1.50 per taco. It seems family owned and they seem to be nice people. The language barrier between the cooks & I can be a little troublesome whenever I ask for grilled jalapeños and onions but nonetheless still a place I would go to for authentic tacos. read more

This place is GREAT. I order steak burrito's and cheese quesadilla's here and let me tell you this is home-town authentic mexican food. The staff is a bit serious but they make up for it in the quality of their home made mexican food and mexican breads. I just ordered a carne asade burrito earlier. To tell you the truth, I think this place is way over rated. For the most part when ever you need a burrito for lunch you can pick it up at 5am here. I like this place because they'er open from 5am-9pm. Finding parking is kinda difficult, lucky I came at a decent hour in the morning and was able to park down the block around the corner in a safe residential area. I was at a gaming event at the fairgrounds this past summer of 2011 and they had Costco pizza for $4 a slice at the event . I love Costco pizza and fully support the crew putting on the event; but $4 for a cold slice of pizza? Fuck that! Luckily I spotted this place in my search for the first meal of the day. A neighborhood mini market bakery, taqueria with a working payphone. The bread here was excellent. Soft, rich and fresh. I bought 4 empanadas and a cheesy jalapeño bolillo for two bucks. What a deal! I returned with two buddies later that day and tried out the taqueria side of the establishment for lunch. Their adobada was on par with some of the places I hit up in Tijuana for adobada. Their guacamole tasted homemade and their salsas were bold. I had to return the following day. If you're a local and you haven't been here you're missing out big time. read more

Interesting little neighborhood bodega and bakery with a surprisingly good selection of fresh meats with an on-site butcher, the burger was some of the best tasting I have had and cooked up nice with some onions and mushrooms. Sadly my second visit resulted in some less than fresh desserts, stale and very dry. Think it might have been due to a loss of power on the bakery side today. Prices are a bit higher like your typical mini-mart mind you so you can't do all your shopping here but if you don't want to leave your den you can make a dinner with the selection available, mind you many of the items are Hispanic food stuffs but there is a small selection of fresh vegetables, fruits etc. They also have a small kitchen with the standard Mexican staples to go, or enjoy at one of the few tables scattered in front. read more

After moving home from SoCal and just buying my first house in downtown Antioch I was looking for a rocken tauqrea. So I say this place several times and, being that I'm a wheto I was a little concerned, but I had smelled the grilling that they did on the side walk lots of times so I bought the bullet and tried it. This place is a small Mexican grocery store with a meat market; produce market, and BAD ASS food. I had the asada tacos and the pastor tacos and my buddy had a quesadilla, I can't take him any ware, and all of it was good. This place is better than any place in San Diego and cheaper than them as well. I may be white and not fit in but the people were cool and the food was amazing. I am going back and I will be the only wheto in the joint for quite some time. read more

If possible, I would give no stars at all! Last two times I've been there they charged me more. The young cashier (owners daughter ) thinks people doesn't notice when she charges $1.00 for a piece of bread that costs 60 cents! Beware people! Check your receipt before leaving and go back if you need to! I hope the owner reads this and tells his daughter to stop doing this or someone else will call Consumer Reports!!! Wow! I'm very impressed with this place. They have a little bit of everything. 1) They make/sell cakes, and have a variety of freshly baked Mexican bread 2) they have a small taqueria 3) they have a small grocery and produce section as well 4) they sell all the regular Mexican candy and popscicles too. This is probably the cleanest and most organized specialty store I've ever been to. It seems to be the only panaderia in town -I may be wrong. read more

My daughter calls this the yummy store and she's absolutely right. Their bakery is delicious.

I go to this store maybe once every two weeks or so.... The bakery is awesome. It's anyone's with a sweet tooth's dream! The custard filled pastries = omg! Yum! The cookies, apple turn overs....you get the picture :) The only thing I noticed is that one of the cashiers can be kinda rude. She spoke perfect English, yet when I spoke to her she kinda brushed me off...kept talking in Spanish to her friend that was sitting there. Could be my imagination, but every time I go in, I feel like she's giving me the evil eye. Maybe cause I'm blonde hair/blue eyed....obviously a white girl? Either way she's not overly friendly. But they have slammin pastries so I can overlook it. But she's definitely not a thief or ripping me off as the person at the bottom insinuated she was doing (or someone was doing).
