Yes, I am here again! Now I came to order food to go, and feed my family on a weekday. I was greeted by the owner, they make you feel at home. So many people came to pick up their orders. I didn't know this place until last week, but I see a lot of people already know of this treasure and I was missing out. This place is easy to miss, so make sure you have your navigator on. I am so glad I found this place, it feels like I am coming home, to my mom's daily cooking. So there is also a wave of nostalgia in this review. They offered my chips and salsa while I waited. It was authentic Mexican food. It was good. Generous portions and super nice service staff! I prefer Tex Mex and did not realize it was authentic Mexican, but as soon as you look at the menu you know. It is in Spanish. Does have small English descriptions too and pictures. read more

Yummmy Yummmy to my tummy! Instopped here while getring my tires changed at Firestone. Wanted tonsupport a local business so stepped right over this fabulous place for food and ice cream. Service, Excellente! The staff greeted is as we entered. Assisted us with the menu (hablo poquito espanol). The meatballs were fabulous. Papusas scrumptious and the steak and onions were gone in a flash. No room for ice cream. You mist try this place. read more

Being a little girl who had lived in a place for her whole life and then had to move to a way different country, I found a million hard things, but the hardest one was definitely getting used to the food. I've lived in California and now I live in Texas and from all the places I've tried, I gotta say this is one of the very few who serves authentic delicious food. I can't even express my love for those nachos, and the service, besides bilingual is nice and it makes you feel at home. They also have pretty much any match from the Mexican soccer league, but that's just a plus. Haha. read more

Breakfast 1/17. The service was terrible, only one other couple in when we came in. Ordered coffee and it was cold, not warm cold.. instead of bring fresh coffee they stuck it on the microwave to warm it up. Food wa medium not that great and it was not serve hot,just warm. only reason i'm giving 3 stars is for the great taste of the food. Service was sucky, everytime we kept trying to ask the waitress for something, she would walk away quickly so we wouldn't ask her anything else. Took a good 10 mins for them to even come to the table to ask what we wanted to drink and had to order everything at that rate because did not want to wait forever for the food. Asked for warm chips because the first ones were cold, took them about 10 mins to bring that and our drinks. Ordered queso flameado for an appetizer and shared fajitas with my boyfriend. Took them about 30 minutes just to get the appetizer that she wouldn't have brought until i asked. and asked if i wanted the appetizer first when that is something normally always brought first. and then 45 mins from the time we ordered the fajitas arrived. Like i said, food was good, but definitely not worth the wait. IFFFF i ever return, will ask for a different waitress. read more

Went yesterday for the first time in 3 years or so, the waitress was not attentive and lied to us and was rude when asked questions about the menu items. The food quality has dropped drastically from when I ate there years ago and prices have gone up. Honestly the only thing I actually enjoyed was my horchata. I love this little place! It's next to the Firestone on I45 in The Woodlands. The salsa is wonderful and has a great depth of flavor. In addition the green and red sauces served tableside with your entree are outstanding. While offering completely different flavor profiles (green has a bit of heat and red is extraordinarily deep flavored), adding a combination of the two to the tacos mixtos provides a sensory delight. I am generally here at least once a week. The family run place has an outstanding cook and I've never been disappointed with the food. In addition, the flan is hands down the best I've ever had. This place should be packed everyday. Do yourself a favor and skip the typical chains/TexMex places near The Woodlands mall and make the trip to this little hideaway. I had the tacos carbon which were marinated beef with a fresh jalapeño, tomato, and avocado salad and fresh corn tortillas. Would also suggest the tacos de trombo (served with bowls of cilantro, onion, and lime). $4 margaritas rounded out a satisfying meal. Much better than a chain option, so look beyond the simple exterior. read more

This little hole in the wall is some of the best Mexican (not Tex-Mex) food you can get around here. The beans are delicious, but dont expect refrieds. They have spicy and smokey bacon... Mmmmm. You might have a little trouble communicating with staff if you don't speak any Spanish, but it's worth playing charades for the good food. read more
