10/10 I was craving some barbacoa before running my Sunday errands so I searched on Yelp and found this GEM. the barbacoa melted in my mouth, corn tortillas had great flavor and the salsa was also delicious and spicy. My boyfriend ordered a breakfast burrito which was also amazing. He ordered a bacon, egg, cheese & refried beans. Beans had great flavor. The day after my daughter and son in law arrived to their new home and we had unloaded the U-Haul we needed to return the U-Haul. After doing this, we saw this little taco place, Taco Patron and since it was lunch time, we decided to stop in. The two young girls working inside were very nice and one who realized the language barrier assisted us in ordering two platters of tacos to feed everyone. The platters were $25 and included many street tacos, beef, chicken, pork, chorizo and something else along with chopped onions, cilantro, red sauce, green sauce and limes. There were a lot of us so two platters worked just fine. The tacos were absolutely delicious and we all really enjoyed our lunch. The food here was great. Taco Patron in only open 7 am to 3 pm. They have a really good-looking breakfast menu and menu for lunch. We have already decided to return to try out the other options on their menu. read more

I am so happy I came inside to dine! This is my first time dining in, only came here once before for the drive thru... We came up to counter, ordered and sat down; served and amazed to see the presentation on my plate, orderly & clean, Chile Relleno was excellent!! The Gorditas were phenomenal as well, the masa was made to hold together all the goodness inside - instead of separate top and bottom, which is always the case at other restaurants. Just moved to the area and have been looking for a good taco shop style Mexican restaurant. Hit the mail on the head coming here. Asada fries were excellent. Had the California burrito and enjoyed it as well. Staff was friendly and portions were good for the price. Only bummer is their hours are until 3 pm so no late night taco trips read more

This place knows how to cook their meats! Ordered tacos de pollo, fajita, and barbacoa. All meats were tender and easy to chew...was not leathery nor hard to chew (like nearby taco places). Love it! Also tried the spicy bbq wings and they were crunchy (which is how we like them--but to each their own). The horchata is really good! read more

Make sure you're not getting overcharged. I called in an order of two bacon, egg and cheese tacos earlier this week (I looked at the menu online FB). Letty, part owner, gave me my total and I handed her my card. I looked at the receipt right after I left the parking lot and I noticed I was charged extra for the cheese. I called and spoke to Letty. She said they changed the pricing/menu and that is why I was charged for the cheese. I was passing this place up today. I had to stop by and look at the menu they have up at the drive through. It literally tells you that the taco COMES with cheese. The fact that she lied to me is what upsets me. I will never support this business ever again. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. read more

I ordered a carnita taco, fajita taco, and a barbacoa taco. I couldn't tell which was the fajita or the barbacoa since they didn't taste like any other taco that I've had before. One was ok, the other was atrocious. I couldn't eat it. Cheap cuts of meat it looked like. I never want to eat here again. read more

Beans were from a can. Nothing redeemable. None of the meats were not fried on a grill. Flavorless. Boiled meat...need I say more!!

Great menu! Great service! Great food! Delicious! Wonderful little spot in Conroe. They have great alternatives for those that don't care for meat also! Great little place!! We ordered the "Charolazo" (15 street tacos), small Menudo, and a chicken quesadilla. The tacos were great. They were served plane with chopped onion, cilantro and grilled onions on the side as well as limes and salsa. my husband was happy with the Menudo, and it can be ordered with or with the hominy.
