[[HIGHLIGHT]]It was very sweet! A great hole in the Mexican place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My boyfriend and I were driving by the area for pottery, and it was in a little shop right next door. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was around 30 people worth of seating and it was a homey rustic look. Some decorations but extremely cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I took a picture of the coaster. I ordered the enchiladas verde and the horchata. It was delicious and very authentic tasting. Very different from Tex Mex. For the horchata, we were told we could get as many refills as we wanted! Didn't end up taking up that offer, but what amazing service. Service was fast, and I believe the waiter was the owner! We were seated right by the kitchen and they gave fantastic service.

Wow! We started by ordering a half dozen empanadas: two beef, two chicken and cheese, and two "Dessert" Empanadas de Manzana containing apple , walnuts and raisins. My favorite was the combination of chicken and cheese where the seasoning was forward and just honestly incredible. For the beef they provided a wonderful chimichurri salsa, and it was so good that I found myself eating the leftover chimichurri with my cutlery. We tried the Enchilada Verdes off the regular menu and the Mexican Mom chicken on the weekly menu. They have a limited menu and I think I actually appreciate that. The one side has their empanadas and appetizers and regular dishes, the other side is a "weekly" menu that changes every week so you never know quite what you will find on it. We decided to try the Enchiladas Verdes and the award-winning Mexican Mom chicken. Special mention to the white rice on that plate, moist and flavorful with cheese on top. The chicken sauce had a brilliant flavor profile from the onion and carrots and mushrooms, slightly sweet and a hint of spicy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]So this place has a lot of charm and appeal. It is not like a normal restaurant, has a lot of personality.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Some of the food was a little spicy for Mr. Picky, but his Horchata drink helped get him through that. The big question was what to order for dessert. We settled on and enjoyed the Chocolate Tres Leches and a special banana dessert not shown on the menu. Overall, a great new find to add to our good restaurants list.

Mexican Mom has quickly become one of our weekend go-to spots. My husband and I have visited on several occasions, and every time has been a hit. One of the things we love most is that their weekend dishes often change--so there's always something new to try. It keeps the experience exciting, and so far, we've never been disappointed. The flavors are rich, authentic, and clearly made with love--just like something your abuela would make. From traditional favorites to unique weekend specials, everything has tasted fresh and homemade. On top of the amazing food, the customer service is always warm and welcoming. You can really feel the pride they take in what they do. Whether it's your first visit or your fifth, you're treated like family. Highly recommend giving this gem a try--especially on the weekends when the surprise dishes roll out!

Half of my heart is at Mexican Mom. The food in amazing, I always get the chorizo tacos but everything I've tried is amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I always feel like I'm on vacation when I'm here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A slice of heaven. In Ambiance & in taste & in the service.

Absolutely perfect. The food was authentic and tastes so so good. We had the empanadas and the enchiladas. The owners are so friendly and personable. We will be back.

This place is TOP notch 5 stars!! Mexican Mom & Jaime (dad) are amazing! We celebrated my husband's 50th milestone birthday & they helped make it extra special. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is warm & inviting- intimate family atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All the food from the pico, queso & empanadas are fresh & superb. Everyone's entrees were tasty as well- a HUGE thank you to this establishment for helping us make this a memorable celebration for our family. We simply can not be more pleased.

This place is an absolute gem. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cozy and quiet atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Only a few tables and great personalized service from the owner. The food is the star though. This is real Mexican food that would be served at family meals. It is not Tex-Mex at all. The thought and care they put into the weekly rotating menu is why we keep going back. Fantastic place!

Great restaurant! The owners are good people and the food is always good. It's also nice in the inside.

Ambiance: Mexican eatery in Spring with a very welcoming ambiance! It truly feels like you've stepped into someone's home for an amazing home cooked meal! The service & quality is very high! Multiple dining area options, some tables feature comfy sofas for an even homier vibe. This is the perfect work day lunch spot, weekend dinner celebration, or for drinks over delicious food. I loved the chicken empanadas - so fun that they are branded. The Sangria was delicious and included cream/sorbet at the bottom for a nice twist on a classic drink. I highly recommend the soup if you are wanting something on the lighter side. Parking onsite. Clean space! Highly recommend this family-owned restaurant!

    Empanadas de Manzana and Chilaquiles

Servings were well portioned and servers were nice! It is a small restaurant but the staff attend to you very quickly. The empanadas were good and the chilaquiles were delicious. Only thing is it was extra to add an egg and chicken on top. Horchata was powdery/chalky.

The restaurant is pretty large with a mix of warm lighting and natural light depending on where you're sitting. It seems as though they may be renovating in certain spots of the restaurant the time we visited. Our waiter Dave was friendly, attentive, informative, and efficient. The complimentary chips and salsa were good. We took advantage of their happy hour for drinks. We each had a Cadillac margarita which was pretty good. My friend and I chose the Marisco bowl. I chose the meat combo of chicken/steak and she chose the chicken Marisco bowl. My other friend had the chicken quesadillas. The food was fresh, but in my opinion lacked flavor. I loved the prices of Gringos, but did not like my dish as much. My friends enjoyed their meals. As the night went on the restaurant became full. They have complimentary ice cream and cones for dessert that patrons get themselves. When we attempted to partake, the cones were gone and the station was messy from patrons not cleaning up after themselves. I would return to this location again and try a different dish. I would also recommend this business to others for decent happy hour drinks and food.

To be fair, it is my own fault because I tried El Mariachi a year or two ago and thought it was gross then. However, I know everywhere deserves a second chance so I thought I'd give it another try, especially when I saw it had such a high average rating. Let me first say, service is INCREDIBLE. Truly could not ask for better. The hostess was really sweet and she stayed kind even when I could tell she was overwhelmed by all the people. We had multiple servers come by to check on us at various times and do things for us and they were all great too. Absolutely 0 staff complaints. I ordered a watermelon margarita and couldn't drink it. The syrup was completely separated from the actual drink. I left it completely full and while I didn't want to complain, I was surprised that I wasn't asked if it was okay. Had I been asked, I would've told them. My husband thought his house margarita was good, but he did order it frozen and it was already half liquid by the time he got it. The food was not good. I took one bite of my beef taco and pushed it to the side. It was essentially Taco Bell meat. No shade to Taco Bell, but if I wanted that, I would've just gone to T Bell. It sure would've been a lot cheaper. My cheese enchiladas were also not good. I asked to have sour cream sauce on top & was charged $2 for it. I wasn't told I'd be charged extra and didn't see anywhere on the menu where it said that. Even so, $2 for sauce is crazy, but $2 for sauce when the enchilada ALREADY comes with sauce on top and all you had to do was replace it?? Wild. The queso was okay. Not amazing, not bad. It's the only thing I was able to eat. Not my personal experience, but two tables in our same section had issues with their food too and had to send it back. $85 for that is crazy. I'm glad so many seem to enjoy it, but El Mariachi will never see me again.

TLDR: Thar food, those ritas. This place has become my most recent go-to when that little voice says - "pssst....Dave....Dave....i know you hear me....you want fajitas." Admittedly, I hear that voice a lot. In any case, I usually order the fajitas. They give you a decent quantity that tastes great. The meet is tender and flavorful and those tortillas had me at hello. I love this stuff! My son elects to go for the cheese enchiladas. I don't have to ask him how much he likes them because is a super picky eater and this is the one place where he actually cleans his plate. The margaritas are solid as well and when you glance around the restaurant, you'll see them on most tables. This place is a well oiled machine. There are plenty of staff and they all work unison to bring drinks / chips / salsa / refills / orders / food -- and that food usually comes out before I can feel guilty for eating chips, salsa, and queso. I found this trick that works for me. Since I 100% of the time feel guilty for leaving the place feeling so full, I started parking on the other end of the parking lot. This allows my to burn off 2.7 calories of the food that just ate so I feel 2.7 percent less guilty. On a serious note - this place is the real deal. While some of my previous favorites have either closed down or gone downhill a bit - Julio's has remained strong. ¡Salud!
