Carne Asada Taco and Birria Taco
    Sergio G.

Must try if you visit or nearby. This is my first time experience and WILL BE BACK. Carne asada taco 3/5: Average taco in my opinion but still good. Comes with guacamole and onion. Adobada taco 5/5: Amazing taste, great portioned guacamole and onion. Definitely worth the try. Birria Taco 5/5: Birria was really good and had amazing broth. Had it crunchy and with onion and red salsa. Amazing! Seating 5/5: Plenty of seating and comes with red salsa, green salsa, cucumber, radish and lemons! Service 5/5: The staff was very welcoming, and our waiter was very attentive and polite! Price 5/5: I think the price was beyond reasonable! Definitely worth having 7 tacos!

Tried two tacos de Asada, then one birria de res, one cabeza and another asada for dessert. Super good tacos. Hand made tortillas. Salsa and guacamole is fantastic. You should eat here.

This is a good spot to hit up if you are by the airport... but not if you're coming from the border. The Food: I got al pastor and tripa! They were all pretty good. The Location: Parking is a little bit of a hassle. One of the workers at the taco spot helped us move our truck into a tight parking spot on a side street. The service: It OK. You might need to grab the attention of the servers. Also, they usually group all food together so if you need to split it, let them know before hand.

We got lucky is what I want to say. Taqueria Mi Casa was a place we picked randomily as we had just arrived in TJ for the first time. The place is not the nicest looking but who cares "All we want is good tacos! The service is good and like alot of the tacos in TJ super cheap. We wanted to start small so we got the alpastor and also birria tacos. The tacos are not huge but they do fill u up. The taste is fresh and the service is fast. They bring you fresh salsa and chip before you food comes out so that was a plus. I'm glad I found this place. Theres a guy outside in the parking lot that helps you not crash any cars and gets you on the road again safely. I would recommended this place to anyone honestly. Great vibes.

    Yummy tacos al pastor!

DELICIOUS Tried their tacos and had a yummy lunch! I had 4 tacos de Asada and made a little room for a taco al pastor - OMG it was the best taco I've had! Next time I will get tacos al pastor only! Parking is a little tuff but try to park close by. They have a row of tables probably 5-6 (I didn't count) but you can sit at the counter too. They were working in a back patio and it looks like they may be expanding. Definitely recommend this place

This is the bar sitting area and the cooks are directly in front of you taking your order.

This place is phenomenal. Customer service is amazing. Mid day they have a kid who works for them who even opens your car door and leads you to available chairs or tables. The cooks are right in front of you and they are quick, polite, and great at taking your orders and making the food that you want. They have a lady who makes the tortillas for some of their items and they come out really good. They have all types of meat and drinks. The food itself is great. They give you a selection of green or red salsa and guacamole, onions, cilantro, lemons, salt, and radishes. I've been coming here yearly since I was a kid and the quality has never gone down. Never had any issues with the food here and I'd recommend this place to anyone in TJ looking for some tacos whilst being in the airport area.

By far the best tacos in Tijuana. I had tacos el franc and nope they don't compare to these tacos! Legit tacos and great prices.

What really sets this place apart is the outstanding customer service, the staff is welcoming, attentive, and treats every customer really nicely. It came highly recommended by both locals and fellow food lovers, and after seeing the incredible reviews, we knew we had to experience it for ourselves. We ordered a little bit of everything: tacos de tripa, tacos al pastor, tacos de asada, and an asada quesadilla. Every single item was packed with flavor and tasted incredibly fresh. The tripas were perfectly crispy without being greasy, the al pastor was juicy, well-seasoned, and had that classic balance of savory and slightly sweet flavors, and the asada was tender with a delicious char-grilled flavor. The asada quesadilla was generously filled with meat and gooey melted cheese, making it the perfect complement to the tacos. One thing I really appreciated was how convenient the ordering process is. They have a drive-through style setup where you simply pull up and park in front of the restaurant. An employee comes directly to your car to take your order, and once your food is ready, they bring it right out to you. It's such an easy and efficient experience, especially if you're eager to grab amazing food and get back on the road. It's easy to see why this place has earned such a stellar reputation. Between the authentic flavors, generous portions, friendly service, and convenient setup, this was the perfect way to kick off our trip into Mexico. I'll definitely be making this a tradition every time I cross the border.

The food was actually good, wish I could say the same about the service. Ordered tacos and when it came to drinks they only had one kind. The problem was that even tho the restaurant was dead empty they were in a big rush to get us out of there. This was around 2pm today May 21st 2025. It's not like we made this up, my mom and I head the cook tell the waiter that we had finished eating but still had not left. I am never coming back here since TJ is crowded with taco stands that would love me as a customer. I advise you to save yourself the bad experience and rather get it to go or eat somewhere else.

Limonada/ Frozen Lemonade: 10/10 sips complete with a Salted Rim, The small is plenty for me but I opt for the large occasionally/ if sharing. So delicious especially this time of season. The Zona Rio location has a small dining area, that is very popular with both the locals and visitors. It is easy to see why. Their menu does not over dose on the standard morning and afternoon items that you would find anyplace. However, this is the first restaurant I've been to in Tijuana, that does not have an English menu.... so I had to labor through the Spanish menu. But, they do have unique dishes, thus making the visit adventurous, because it is difficult to choose. I went back and forth, and finally settled for their 3-egg omelet with asparagus and sheep cheese. It came with refried beans, strings of carrots and beets, small fired up tostadas and fresh tortillas (both blue and yellow corn). A small side of soggy chilaquiles was also served. A small flavorful salsa tray is also provided with 3 options, ranging from mild to hot. The asparagus spears were thin, cut up into small pieces and sautéed with mild spices. The outer egg covering soft and not overdone. If anything, there was too much sheep cheese, in certain portions of the omelet. I say this because it was an asparagus omelet, and it, instead of the cheese, should have been the star. Still, it did not take away from the other commendable aspects of the complete entree and its accompaniments. Before the meal, a small refreshing fruit plate is served. Coffee and overall service here, was mucho excellente.
