So I have been trying and failing to come through for a while. I always seemed to be a few minutes late but today, today I made it! After a recommendation I went with the steak and chorizo breakfast burrito and it was amazing! The steak was juicy and the chorizo had these little crispy bits which blended well together. As for their salsa game. Their salsa verde and their chipotle salsa had really great flavor however the salsa roja had a better heat. All in all I am glad that I made it today and I will be back for coffee!!!

If you're going to do something, do it right and Taqueria Nopal makes an excellent breakfast burrito. It's nice to create an identity where you do a couple things well and not try to do it all. Next time I'll definitely have to get a latte also. Great spot and happy they added a location at 5211 Tujunga (NoHo Park). Can't wait to try the bacon burrito next time around.

Stopped by for breakfast and ended up having one of the best lattes and burrito I've had in a long time. I ordered the banana iced latte and oddly enough, it didn't taste like banana at all, BUT somehow I didn't even care because it was that good. Smooth, had that coffee flavor, a little sweet, and honestly just a really really solid latte! For food, I got the carne asada breakfast burrito with everything on it. First thing I noticed was the size. This thing was huge! They definitely do not skimp on the fillings. There was plenty of carne asada and egg in every bite, and it was more than enough food to keep me full for hours. The real star though, might have been the salsas. They had a red, green, and orange salsa, and every single one was delicious. Each had its own flavor and level of heat, and they took an already great burrito to the next level. That orange sauce (not sure what it is) was my favorite! On top of the food being delicious, the service was awesome. Everyone was friendly, and the food came out surprisingly fast since it was a bit busy. It's always a bonus when you're craving breakfast and don't have to wait forever for it. I've had a lot of breakfast burritos around the valley and this one is definitely one of the more memorable ones. Big portions, great coffee, amazing salsas, and fast, friendly service. I'll definitely be back! Thank you for having me :)

I'm a little late on this review, but I came back to give the asada breakfast burrito another try after receiving a promo code. As always, I like to give honest feedback. This time, the burrito did not disappoint. I had to run a few errands before eating it, so I reheated it on the comal to get it nice and slightly crispy on and it was worth it. The red hot sauce was spicy and flavorful, just how I like it. Overall, great and friendly service.

I refrained from leaving a negative review the first time. Let me start by saying they have good breakfast burritos. Now why the 1 star? First time I go I ask for 3 sides of sauce. They tell me it's limit 1. I say I'm willing to pay for extra he says we can't. The cup of sauce is the size of your finger but ok no problem. This time I go I ask for sauce on side he goes we don't do sauce on side. I'm like bro I see the cup right there I want cilantro crema on side he says we can't DO SAUCES ON SIDE. TELL ME WHY THEY GAVE ME A CHIPOTLE AIOLI ON THE SIDE THEN? Congratulations. You're the first place that I've had where the food is good but your policies alone make you one of the worst establishments I've ever visited. Bravo to you.

Tried their asada breakfast burrito and it was so bomb; their sauce is amazing, and I didn't have to wait long for it! Great location too, I just parked in the plaza's parking lot and walked to the truck! Can't wait to go again!

The food truck is located along Balboa Blvd with plenty of parking in the lot. I went around 8:20 AM and there were a few people waiting, but the line moved quickly and the service was fast. I ordered the asada burrito with everything, and it was huge! Definitely worth the price. The flavors were so good. The asada was well-seasoned and cooked perfectly, and everything came together really well. Definitely will be back!

The Best breakfast burrito . Loaded with flavor and plenty of meat! Salsas are solid too. And convenient I was able to door dash it approved by @bigbeanbites

This review is for their iced coffee; specifically their brown sugar shaken espresso. After having finished a workout at the gym I saw them across the parking lot with a rather long line. I've seen them before and are always busy so decided to give them a try. Despite the line it seemed people were getting their orders in a relatively reasonable wait time. My beverage was so good! The balance of sweetness and espresso was perfect and it had a hint of cinnamon which I absolutely love in my coffee. I look forward to trying more things off their menu

Sauces? All amazing!!! Chipotle, cilantro and the salsa the arbol, all the best combo for this asada burrito on a Saturday morning! Tater tots, scrambled eggs, onions salsa and your choice of meats, or veggies, bacon seems to be the preferred meat because at 10:30 am it was already sold out. They don't skimp out on anything so it's a lot! Next time I'm trying the bacon burrito but I don't think I'll be adding egg, not a big fan of the scrambled eggs personally. I believe they have chorizo as well! Anyway I did enjoy this huge burrito, and will definitely be coming back again! A disclaimer, this food truck is called nopal but there's nothing on the menu with nopal, translation to cactus. Most likely an homage to our native country. Lines are huge and this place really is living up to its hype!

I was so excited to find a breakfast burrito spot near me so I stopped by on a Friday morning around 11am. There was no line, but a few people were waiting for their orders. The guy who took my order was nice but he seemed a little distracted. I ordered the bacon burrito, and they called my name within 5 minutes. After picking up my order, I walked over to the nearby eateries where there were plenty of outdoor tables where you can sit and enjoy your food. I was really looking forward to trying the bacon burrito, but unfortunately they gave me the wrong order. I ended up with a meat burrito instead. It was good and something you could easily share.

This place knows what they're doing!! Hands down one of the best breakfast burritos in the valley and probably in all of LA too. I got the asada burrito with caramelized onions and pico de gallo. The meat was seasoned perfectly and the burrito was huge easily enough for two people. You also can't beat the price at $12 per burrito. If that wasn't enough, their specialty lattes are incredible. I ordered the Mexican Mocha and the Honey Einspanner. Both were great but the Honey Einspanner was on a whole other level. The staff was super friendly and explained the menu to me. I will definitely be coming back to try the other burritos. I only wish the tots were a bit crispier but thats just me.

The margarita was spot on it got the job done if you know what I mean it wasn't too sweet which I like! I would recommend checking this place out

In a city where Mexican food is probably the primary dining option; one might think that it is all…read morethe same: that a taco here is the same as a taco there. This line of thinking is completely false as each region and state in Mexico has distinct flavors, cultural preparations and unique ingredients. Luckily in the City of Angels; we have access to all of these styles whereas everyone can pick and choose their favorite! I was in the North Hills/Mission Hills area and decided Mexican was going to be the meal of the day - and thanks to the trusty Yelp app: Tacos al Tijuanense was the winner to satisfy my hunger pang. If you are a longtime LA resident or born-and-raised within the city limits and can swear to Tacos al Tijuanense sounding familiar/remembering that it was a food truck... Then your memory doesn't deceive you. Tacos al Tijuanense birthed as a food truck in 1987 quickly gaining popularity for its smoked meats and Tijuana-inspired flavors serving tacos, vampiros, quesadillas, birria tacos, etc; loaded with fresh toppings and offering a variety of meats for the protein selection. The LA love for Tacos al Tijuanense caused such popularity that the food truck expanded into brick-and-mortar locations with several now spread throughout the city. The North Hills location of Tacos al Tijuanense holds real estate near the Woodly/Nordhoff intersection in a small strip plaza shopping center that seems half sleepy and half eyebrow-raising. But, as most of us know, the hidden gems are usual the best spots so don't be deterred by such businesses like the sketchy massage parlor next door. In fact, diners will be pleasantly surprised when crossing the threshold of the entrance to find an airy interior with high ceilings, natural light, wooden accents and the combination of a trendy- almost gastropub sticking to the food truck theme (there is even a food truck motif behind the order counter) that feels like a party. Tacos al Tijuanense is not what you would expect from the outside! Tacos al Tijuanense is fast-casual meaning you order behind the counter and take a number to the table of your choice. After browsing the menu, my boyfriend chose a Quesadilla (13" tortilla filled with protein of your choice, jack cheese, cilantro and salsa with my boyfriend picking chicken - $13) and a Vampiro (toasted corn tortilla layered with jack cheese, choice of meat, onions, cilantro and salsa with al pastor - $3). For my order, I also went with a Vampiro but with chicken while also ordering Nachos to share with carne asada. When our plates arrived, we were surprised to see the size of the portions. Everything at Tacos al Tijuanense is large and in charge and they most certainly do not skimp! The fillings are overflowing with bright, fresh ingredients, toppings are numerous and the size overall makes everything shareable. My Vampiro was crisp with delicious guacamole that added a refreshing element and tender, tasty chicken. My favorite was my boyfriend's Quesadilla which was gooey, warm and perfect. You can't go wrong with a quesadilla! But we have to talk about the nachos because these nachos are HUGE! This is party size and could generously feed three people. The carne asada was heavenly and the chips tasted homemade. The only slightly "meh" factor was that the cheese atop the nachos was canned cheese and we would have preferred melted shredded cheese. This wouldn't have been such an issue had the canned cheese been in a rational amount but it seemed like a Costco-sized can poured onto these chips! These nachos were hidden under cheese glop! Regardless, they were still delicious. Tacos al Tijuanense holds true to its almost 40-year-old fame with affordable prices, delicious food, large portions giving you a bang for your buck and a surprisingly inviting ambiance. Tacos al Tijuanense is definitely recommended and the North Hills location is much recommended despite its odd plaza placement.
