I stopped by this taco truck today that is parked on Balboa and close to Chatsworth near El Pollo Loco. Our usual taco spot was doing a private event so I looked at other tacos place near us and remember this place. I passed it so many time and never tried it so today was the day. I found parking on the street, I parked right in front of the taco truck. I got three carne asada tacos, my wife got her mulita asada and we got two lengua taco for my sister. The price is reasonable. They have all the condiments in the front of the truck and you pack it yourself. It didn't take long for my order to be ready. I took it home to eat. They'll give you some pinto beans with your order. The carne asada taco is okay, I didn't really like the red salsa. My wife thought her mulita was just okay as well and my sister like her lengua taco. Customer service was great, I didn't have any issues. read more

Good, solid tacos at this spot. They have a great $1.50 deal per taco on Taco Tuesdays, so I ended up getting 4 asada tacos and 3 pastor tacos. Both, the asada and pastor meats, were well-marinated, tender and delicious. The food truck also has a nice selection of salsas and other different toppings for the tacos. Service from (sorry if I heard the name wrong) either Manuel or Emmanuel, the cashier that worked tonight 7/18/25 gave me hope in this food truck again! I have always noticed uncomfortable service experiences in the past. But my son was craving "loaded fries" and at last minute I remembered this place is Right down the street so we gave it a try again. Why not? And this time definately flipped my impression on this truck back to a positive late night option. Cashier had great communication and answered any questions I had about the menu. It went smoothly with customizing the fries without cilanto, onion etc per my sons request. And most other places we'll often have issues with ordering on the plainer side for him. Thanks again to you and the chef for such a pleasent experience tonight! My son even cleaned almost the entire box of asada fries! and to think, I thought we were sharing them! Ha! We stopped by on a whim because they had quite the line of folks waiting for their orders (which is always a good sign at a food truck). The food was great and the staff was efficient! We stumbled across this place because our usual taco spot was closed. They seem to have a special on the agua fresca on Sunday. BOGO free Jamaica ( hibiscus) is the best in my opinion. Their tacos are tasty. On the small side. They do double tortilla. Their salsas are okay! If they were bit more tasty I would of given this place 5 stars. Upon reading reviews, I noticed they skip out on adding meat to a lot of other folks and for the price they charge, that's wild. Good service and a very clean truck . I just ordered a few asada tacos for a snack. They have a salsa bar on the outside of the truck and also you can fill a snack baggy with the onions and cilantro , they don't put it on the tacos . I dislike when they are--because they get soggy and who wants their taco to break apart before they get a bite? *The meat was fantabulous. You know a good taco place when they serve cabeza, tripa and lengua. *The vegetables were fresh and crispy. Plus you get caramelized cebollitas on everything if you ask. * They offer mild to spicy salsas that have a good consistency and are well seasoned. like that they offered variety and didn't limit how much I could use. I tried the cabeza and lengua, they didn't disappoint. Some places overcook the lengua and it makes it tough, but this place got it right! I've been coming to this taco truck for years. YUM. It's one of my favorites. Their mulitas are bomb, their tacos are bomb, ingredients are fresh. My food never lasts long enough to take a picture of it . And they're so cheap! Taco Tuesday the tacos are only $1!!! And I can get full off like 4 tacos. Best deal in town. I usually pay $12 when I go through drive thrus. The only thing is I'll drive over to their locations sometimes and they're not there during business hours, which is a disappointment. Let me just start off by telling you that I loooooooooooooooooooooooooove tacos. I don't mean those hardshell tacos you get at Jack in the Box. Those should be ashamed to call themselves, "tacos." Tacos Colima also goes by Tacos Primos, which is a little confusing. I come here for the carne asada tacos and when I go, I mean business. I get at least 5 for myself. What I love is that their carne asada is not full of fat and gristle like other taco trucks. Nothing worse than taking a big bite and you've got a mouthful of fat. Not this place. I don't think I've had one bad taco. I love that they have fresh diced onions and cilantro. Their salsas are also made fresh and you can take as much as you'd like. I love that the plate of 5 tacos comes with a complimentary bean taco. Don't knock it because I think it makes a great "appetizer." Their chicken burrito is also very delicious.
