There aren't many late night options in the San Fernando Valley and we are grateful to have this hard working team nearby. We ordered a carne asada burrito and a super carne asada burrito. Really good al pastor tacos! $2.50 a piece. They have several salsas on the side and their toppings are all great. Cucumbers are really crunchy and fresh which is an odd thing to highlight but I enjoyed. They have convenient little cups to add salsas and sides into. This used to be one of the best Taco Trucks in Van Nuys. The tacos and burritos were loaded with meat. Sadly, with the new found popularity, Leo's has taken a step back . They raised the prices from $10 to $13 for a burrito, and they noticeably got skimpy with their portions. For the money you're going to spend here, you are much better served at an actual restaurant. Leo's workers are friendly and others rave about the Pastor, so maybe if you try this truck that's what you should order. Leo's is now located on Victory and Woodley. I was surprised to see a Leo's at this corner so we stopped to check it out about a month ago. It was completely empty and we ordered everything we would order from the north hills location - a bunch of tacos and burritos to support them. The tacos meats were just ok though, as if 90% of it was left over and reheated until dried out. Do yourself a favor and do not order the "carnitas" - this was so bad! The ratio of the burrito was off too, a lot of filler but the rice was so dry too. The cabeza was still delicious and the saving grace of this meal. Perhaps they are just getting their footing but it was not consistent with Leo's quality especially for the price they charge. They didn't have any salsas either - what?! The service was friendly and the truck was fancy but I don't care about that, I care about the food. *Now when I drive by the area, it seems busier and now they have condiments and a trompo outside so maybe their quality has improved due to more turnover? read more

Leo's taco truck may be my new obsession! The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, the customer service is great and the food is amazing. So far the burritos, asada fries and alambres are my favorites. The alambre was a pleasant surprise: a container of your choice of meat (I went with half asada and half al pastor) with...wait for it...cheese...and some some veggies (although I don't recall what kind...think fajitas). Me and my mom came right now at 10:10 we got here waited 30 minutes for nachos. We asked the lady how much for the tacos she said 2 for 30. We couldn't belive it. Some of the Leo's Taco Trucks in Los Angeles are good and some are not so good depending if they have an al pastor spit or not. The serving of all pastor tacos is generous and one of the best-bang-for-your-buck places to eat in the Valley. The service is friendly and efficient at this location. This was a great place. It's cash only!! They seem to be known for their pastor meat. I was not a fan but pastor is prob a little different in different regions in Mexico. I'm just used to a different flavor. BUT I had sopes and they were amazing!!! The salsa's were SO good!! Fresh cucumber and radishes. Pico de gallo! they have a really great set up! Leo's very clean and state of the art taco truck definitely brightens what has long been a neglected corner of Van Nuys. The commercial property on the northeast corner of Victory and Woodley has been an eyesore for years but now Leo's is offering their signature al pastor tacos and a large variety of other items from this location. There is plenty of parking as none of the units in this mini mall are leased. Service is fast and personable and the variety of tacos that I've sampled so far were very good.
