    Torta al pastor

Stopped here on my way home from Monterey to SoCal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute little spot!. Looked clean and welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The hostess/waitress was super nice and greeted us as soon as we walked in. The free chips and salsa were a good start. Salsa wash fresh and chips were crispy. Al Pastor Torta: 8/10 Bread was fresh and nicely toasted on the outside. The torta was very good except not a 10 because I am used to the style of tortas in OC which are full and mighty. The dipped Torta with chorizo: 8/10 Very filling with good flavors. At the end you basically get a side salad from all the droppings - which I finished off for my bf :) Would come here again if I'm driving by. The food was better than expected for not being familiar with the area!

Pacheco's never disappoints! It's always a go to. Definitely the best Mexican food in town. Worth it. I always like going when Georgie is at the counter taking orders he's so nice and kind every time! (:

Two large sopes combo. It was soooo good!

This was our first time staying in Soledad & it's so hard to find a unique, delicious, home cooked meal when you're out of town. But we felt like struck GOLD! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Taqueria Pacheco can be found inside the Mercado & as soon you walk into this little store, you feel like you're home.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is so friendly. They had genuine smiles and the food looked & smelled MOUTH-WATERING good!! I ordered the sopes, my husband & kids had tacos and everything was flavorful. I especially loved their house chili ! It's the right kind spicy-the good kind! The first bite of my sope made me feel like I was back at my abuelita's. Tortillas hecho a mano too! Hands down, this is the BEST TAQUERIA IN SOLEDAD!!! Gracias Taqueria Pacheco! Los vemos muy pronto!

My friend was getting her hair done in Soledad & asked where is a great place for burritos & she was told pachecos, we both got chili verde burritos & they were soooo tasty, we even got grilled jalapenos, so yummy, oh & they burritos are huge, we could only eat 1/2 of our dinner

We went to the Soledad Mission and kids were hungry. This place was close and had good reviews. Located inside the market. There's some seating available inside. I asked them if I could buy a beer at the market and drink with my meal and they said no. Bummer. Would have paired nicely. Menu pretty decent. We thought it was a little pricey. All the food was good though. Cheese Quesadilla (4): What can I say. It was cheesy and crispy. Good with anything. 4 tacos (4): Got ours with Al Pastor. I really liked their salsa. Had a good kick. Their meat was decent. Nothing super spectacular but good. Super Burrito (5): This was really good. I would have preferred this over the tacos. Good combo of ingredients and the asada with on point. Overall a decent joint. If we ever find ourselves back here, I'd like to try the carnitas and the gordita (note to self).

Taco plate. I added sliced avocado.

Taqueria Pacheco is massively YUM! We saw them hand make each corn tortilla, which makes their tacos spectacular. We ordered the carne asada and Pastor style tacos. The salsas are full of flavor and are spicy. This is a goldmine in Soledad and prices are very friendly. It is located inside a grocery store and they have some tables and chairs inside for you to eat. The tables were clean and the service was very attentive with a smile.

    A very happy taco lover.

We stopped here on a drive south from San Francisco. The service was very friendly and efficient. The tacos were fantastic. We had chicken and Al pastor. Simple, but perfect. Buy your drink at the convenience store and sit down at the in store tables for a delicious and quick meal.

I wouldn't blame anybody who's making a stop in Soledad, while traveling north or south on 101, for eating at McDonald's, Taco Bell, Starbucks, or any of the other fast food restaurants. But travel north on Front Street just under a mile from the fast food gulch, and go into La Placita market for this incredible taqueria. I had a carne asada super burrito and a verde colorado taco. They were delicious. The tortillas are made fresh while your meal is being prepared. The staff is terrific (knowing Spanish is helpful but not necessary). It's a great stop for travelers and food is prepared in a fashion that facilitates "in-auto" dining!

Amazing tacos on what appeared to be home made tortillas. Lengua and tasty carnitas. Sweet staff. Will come back again.

The food is good but please focus more on hygiene. Pots of food on the dirty floor, people eating while cooking and the seafood tastes old.

We ordered one chicken enchilada plate and 2 chilaquiles plates. One chilaquiles plate was with green sauce and another with red sauce. All our entrees tasted very authentic and homemade. Neither of the rice or beans tasted canned or pre-made. The food had great flavor! We also ordered their agua fresca of the day which was pineapple. It was the cherry on top to a satisfying visit. It tasted very fresh without added sugar. Just natural fruit flavors. I highly recommend checking out this place if you're passing through Soledad.

I also ordered cóctel de camarón as an extra add on. I decided to try El Pariente. I'm super picky about my aguachiles so I was thinking they would just satisfy my craving. However, they were literally so amazing. Super enchilosos like I love them! The girl was super nice and obviously the cooks are awesome. I absolutely am going to stop by on my way back to LA to take an order back with me! The outside is so cute, lots of parking and the inside of the restaurant was so cute and authentic looking. They have a great selection of bottled Mexican beer. I had a modelo while I waited and it was super cold. All in all I give this place 5 stars for ambiance, food, cold bottled beer and very nice friendly staff. Next time we're in town longer I'll definitely go have a sit down dinner. Muchísimas gracias por mis aguachiles perfectos y deliciosos!
