Came here after crabbing at the Pacifica pier. Parking outside was tight and we had to do a few loops to find open street parking, but the restaurant was spacious and clean. I got the ala carte Chile relleno for ~$6, and it came in a pretty big plate with a side of salad and sour cream. There were complementary chips and salsa, and I enjoyed experimenting with adding different sauces on my Chile. Sadly, I couldn't eat any other food here, because everything had mono sodium glutamate. I'm highly allergic. The only meat that did not have monosodium glutamate in it was the Carnitas, but I'm allergic to pork. Lol but my boyfriend really liked the three tacos he got so this is a review from him. Lol My boyfriend said everything tasted incredibly fresh and had a very unique flavor and was perfectly seasoned. He also said he liked the texture of the tacos themselves. This place has to be on my top three favorite Mexican restaurants to eat in Pacifica/San Francisco. I love their birria tacos, and their California burrito. Birria tacos: 9/10 California burrito: 9/10 Spicy orange salsa: 10/10 (but honestly it's crazy spicy so be careful with this) Carne asada fries: 7/10 (I wasn't the biggest fan of their carne asada fries when I first got it, the portions weren't that great and the fries felt soggy, but that was a year ago so I'd have to give it another chance) But otherwise great service and I have no complaints read more

The burrito was incredible & the quesadilla was unmatched. It came down to the tortilla- perfectly made and the shrimp was so well done! My friend absolutely loved the Birria Tacos! The store was relatively busy but still got orders out fast, I love the set up where you can get chips, salsas, and a few other toppings for yourself. Vegetarian burrito's are always a hit or miss. And usually not exciting. BUT Taqueria Pacifica has changed the game on this chile relleno burrito. WHY? BECAUSE IT'S STUFFED WITH CHEESE Y'ALL. I was craving a burrito after a gorgeous morning hiking in Pacifica. I honestly wanted a stop-n-go spot, a place that I could call and place my order, and quickly pick up. I highly recommend doing that here. The man behind the phone was very prompt and professional, and got my order to me piping hot. I love that they give chips for free. The small sauce cup size of guac is basically $2, which is basically overpriced BUT I was craving some guac but didn't want to get the large cup size for $7. I should've! Anyways, back to the burrito. It was SO delicious. The black beans were tasty and the rice mm! Everything was SO flavorful and I enjoyed every bite. Logistics-wise, I found street parking a block away and easily walked over. It's easily accessible off of the highway. AND when you walk in it's easy to stay distanced from others. I love that they require masks, or at least everybody inside was wearing masks. There is only indoors seating. And it wasn't busy since I came after the lunch rush. Very nice salsa bar and great customer service. Ordered super nachos with meat and was disappointed. The carne asada meat was delicious but the chips were almost stale and not fresh. It was a very generous portion of meat, sour cream and pico but the quality was just mediocre. Also got the Quesabirria which was good but not outstanding. We sat in the back patio which was shared with the adjoining bar/restaurant. The mops and buckets and garbage cans are also in the patio as well which makes it a less desirable location to enjoy your meal. Next time I will order something else and sit inside. read more

I liked the flavor and composition of the filling, but the sauce just wasn't great. It tasted just like a regular tomato sauce. I want more dried chile flavors. Tomato should be a background flavor. The meat though was tasty. I opened up the burrito just to get the last bites of pork even when I was stuffed lol. Birria tacos. 3 double wrapped tacos with consomme. They were really filling and satisfying. I think they were a bit under-seasoned, even with the broth. But, the texture was on point. Carne asada plate The usual. Big, tender slices of steak. Came here after a hike at Mori Point. Conveniently located on the corner with easy access to street parking. Also, they have both indoor and outdoor seating. We got a horchata, super quesadilla, wet burrito and the birria pizza, which isn't on the menu so make sure to ask them about it! The horchata was disappointing - it was more watery milk and lacked the cinnamon taste. The quesadilla was good, meat wasn't too flavorful but having the sauces made it a bit more enjoyable. Wow! Super impressed! Ordered via DoorDash after reading reviews on Yelp and man the reviews did not disappoint nor did El Grano's tasty Mexican cuisine. I ordered the Chile Relleno w/beef enchilada rice & beans combo plate. The Chile Relleno is amazing! Steak chunks are inside the enchilada covered in a yummy comforting creamy and cheesy sauce. The rice and beans are good as well. I also ordered 2 tacos, one shrimp taco and one fish taco, both are the best of that variety I've ever had! I love non-fried fish tacos and that's exactly what I got! A beautiful piece of white fish rests up top the street taco sized double tortilla, with a healthy portion of fish indeed. The shrimp taco has grilled shrimps and plenty of them, nicely seasoned and super delicious! They also included a small bag of chips with 2 sauces, tomatillo and an orange spicy sauce, both great! The first time I tried this place, I noticed the restaurant wasn't very clean. But we were already there, so i ordered a bean and cheese burrito. Unremarkable. About a year later, I was looking for birria and this place came up. When I arrived, I was sad to see it was the same place I didn't like before, but I really wanted Birria, so I gave it another chance. In 2024 you'd think more restaurants would cater to vegans. I have no idea if the owner reads these reviews but here are my suggestions: use WAY less salt in the rice. When making vegetarian burritos, consider at least a portion of beans equal to the portion of rice. Unfortunately, the portion of beans make them seem more like a condiment and this makes the burrito lack enough protein for vegetarians. Have you considered making Tofu Ranchero? It's a staple at many taquerias in SF. How about grilled vegetables? If these simple changes were made, I'd probably be eating there weekly since I live a few blocks away. I almost gave 2 stars but I don't want to hurt their business. I think with these improvements they could be 4 star. read more

Look like just another hole-in-the-wall could be anything taco shop. It is in fact, clean, large, bright and airy with outdoor seating in the back. Prices are more than reasonable for what you receive and service, while kinda flat, (sorta "next") is friendly enough. Sometimes the person working the counter doesn't speak English well, but the cook is turning it out promptly. In a city where variety and options are endless we have returned here here multiple times, including going out of our way to do so. The burrito is great, salsa sucked. I'm getting right to the point: the salsa was so watered down! I promise I'm not exaggerating... it's some of the most watered down salsa I've had. To be fair we came on a Sunday afternoon, not that that's any excuse, but the sauce it tasted literally watery and had little flavor or salt because of how diluted it was. No Bueno. The burrito is amazing! Thank God, because it totally makes up for the salsa lol. I got a Carne Asada super burrito and the meat is really good quality, not tough or chewy.
