    Chimichurri burrito

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is nice and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The salsa bar is well-maintained with an enormous selection of flavors to go through. The hottest is about 1/3 of a habanero in heat and smoky in flavor. The consistency is pasty. None of the other salsas at the bar are spicy. Like 1/8th a jalapeno at most. Same with the salsas for the chips. The one in the red container is the "hot" one and it's like 1/8th a jalapeno. The yellow one is no heat and it's honestly kind of weird in flavor. I wouldn't go for it. The chips are and thick here and I honestly like that about them, unique. Not too much chimicurri on the chimicurri burrito but honestly if you like queso and steak it's bomb. The servers are good here, everyone speaks English well enough and they always try to have two people by the door. It too me a sec to get my server but other people had an easier time so YMMV.

It's always a treat when great service elevates the whole dining experience, and David absolutely did that. Even on National Margarita Day! We ordered the house margarita, the birria taco, and a side of rice, and everything hit the spot. The margarita was refreshing and well-balanced, the birria was tender and flavorful, and even the rice had that comforting, homemade feel that rounds out a meal perfectly. Between the warm service and the tasty food, El Cielo is definitely a spot I'll return to. A great night from start to finish.

I have dined here twice, both times weekday lunch. Both times I have ordered the same food because…read moreit was so good the first time, I had to try it again! I was not disappointed. The first time, I was alone, this trip, I was accompanied by my wife. This is important because she has an eye for so many different things than I do, such as the nice, clean, updated decor; the music was unobtrusive and pleasant, it is an open space that "a group of women would like." For me, it looks like a great bar area to watch a game on a relaxed weekend day or night with great drink options and tasty food. I would imagine this is a great happy hour bar, but not a loud kind, just a comfortable space with plenty of options. But, we were here for lunch. I ordered the chicken tinga crispy Mexican flautas: Crispy Mexican-Style flautas stuffed with Tinga chicken, topped with El Cielo sauce and house dressing, served with rice, beans, sour cream and lettuce. It was delicious....again. No wonder it is one of their most popular dishes. The flautas are rolled, fried tortillas with filling, sometimes called a tacquito, although technically a flauta is supposed to be a bit larger than a tacquito. Nevertheless, they were crispy and the accompanying sauces were drizzled over the top. This is not only a great presentation but is tasty enough that no other condiments. The tinga chicken is shredded with a spicy (flavor not heat) tomato, onion, garlic, chipotle pepper sauce. Served with a side of rice, refried beans and shredded lettuce with sour cream. This is a go to dish. My wife ordered the taco salad, as usual, however, not as usual, this one was declared as the best taco salad she has ever been served. The chicken in the salad seemed to be the same tinga chicken as in the flautas - so that is a good reason for this flavor. The salsa bar has about 10 choices including on for children that is mild. We tried five - the regular red salsa, the mango pineapple chunky salsa, the verde tomatilla, the spicy creamy verde and the warm, slightly spicy bean dip that comes with the chips. All were great. If I was picky, the chips are the thicker, more sturdy type (which is fine) and not the thinner, crispy kind (often called "restaurant style." But each has its plusses, so no big deal. Be careful not to over-chip, the salsas are all fresh and very goodl. Our server was a pro - Jonathon. He has been with the restaurant since day 12 after opening and is their most seasoned of the wait staff. This showed in his knowledge of the dishes and attentiveness. Surprisingly, there was not a large crowd at lunch, but a decent crowd. This is now on our regular rotation for a lunch date.

Chips and salsa are not complimentary, but you do get these cute little wagon wheel looking chips called duros. They're like puffed air and remind me of pork rinds but not as crunchy and probably made from flour. The drinks are all delicious and strong. The margaritas are small but watch out, they'll sneak up on you! Lots of options. They specialize in tequila and mezcal with flights as an option. The bar is the spot to be; bartenders are friendly and they have small TVs to watch whatever sports are in season. The atmosphere is a little lacking in my opinion, but it's all about the food. Food is delicious and the portions are larger than expected. We got the chips and queso, Heidi's Flautas, soup of the day, and the Birria Egg Rolls. Too much food for 2 people so we took some home. Location is in a strip mall; parking is tight and can be a challenge. We won't let that stop us though! We will be back for those delicious Birria Egg Rolls and margaritas!

The first thing that came out was the Mexican Street Corn Fries. Amazing. Highly recommend it. The picture that I saw on Yelp didn't do it justice so I took one that looks more appealing. The breakfast burrito is huge. I ate maybe 1/3 and had to take the rest to go. The Agua Frescas were fresh and fantastic. Best Horchata I have had in a long time. My wife has the Comal Toast and said it wasn't bad. It was all right. My wife is not extremely expressive when it comes to her food so sounds like it was good to me. Staff is friendly and it was a pretty relaxed atmosphere. Appears to have a full bar as well.
