Great spot. Reliable go-to for Mexican favorites. I try to order something new every time cause it's always difficult deciding on just one thing.

Strictly reviewing the street tacos. I will try other things soon but just the tacos alone is really good. This is my second visit to this spot. I got the carne asada , pastor, and chorizo. Very flavorful and filling. Red Salsa was a good add on but not needed.

I had this placed bookmarked for a while. Food pics looked pretty good, especially salsas. On this lazy Sunday and craving menudo, i cruised through options via delivery app. When this place came up, I didn't hesitate. Unfortunately, food was very late and cold by the time it arrived. Driver waited almost an hour and I waited almost two hours for my food. Parts of my order were wrong too. My beef hard shell tacos were chicken and carnitas taco was adobada. The flavors were ok, so almost give them a pass for those blunders. Also ordered the carne asada plate, asada huarache, and menudo. Menudo was very bland. Not something I would order again. The asada wasn't it what I expected for a plate/combination. It was basically chopped taco meat on a plate. Flavor was ok, but again not something I would order again. Huarache was also just ok. Best part of the whole meal was the salsas. They did give us one of each. Red, green and milder one for chips. All in all, was not a good experience from start to end. Going to have to pass on this place next time. Too many great Mexican spots around town to settle for average.

I just like their carne en su jugo. I go just for that every time. Give it a try. Close to my house. It's almost like a hole in the wall.

Thankfully we were able to detour from Anaheim on our way to LAX. Special shout out to the dedicated staff who graciously accommodated us and allowed us to sneak in a bit early in order to fulfill our cravings and still make our flight on time. I grew up going to Casa Moreno since the original spot in 1995, you can say it's home for me. My kids have therefore grown up visiting it every chance we get when visiting our family in the area. We generally all share and pass our plates around in true family style because we can never decide which all-star traditional plates to order. This time, the kid's quesadilla, 3 Amigos, Steak Fajitas, Chicken Flautas and Machaca made the cut. The look on my son's face when the sizzling platter was headed his way was just as magical as seeing him hug Chip and Dale. Every single bite warmed our hearts and filled our homemade food starved bodies. Casa Moreno is undeniably the greatest Mexican food that Los Angeles has had to offer for over 30 years. Their traditions span throughout three generations and the second you crunch those warm chips covered in their "Chilanga" salsa, you'll be hooked. The best part is that my local family is always there and pleased to come sit with us. We are all unfortunately spread apart across the country but Casa Moreno will always be the place that brings us together. Our shared experiences and memories there always make it HOME. Thank you Casa Moreno for all the sacrifices and hard work to stay around this long, it is very much appreciated by this LA girl living in Hawai'i.

Called in my order and it was smooth and easy. This place is CASH ONLY and they have an ATM inside if needed. Arrived and the cashier was friendly and easy transaction. Received my burrito in no time and I devoured it as soon as I got back to work. The meat was tender and not dry. HATE it when it's dry and tough. Seemed like they gave a little too much chile verde sauce but I think I'd rather have too much than too little. It was not the best wet burrito I've had but it's definitely delicious and I would have it again without any hesitation. The restaurant was clean and there were plenty of tables for guests. After I nearly blew up my poor en-suite microwave (I didn't realize the El Picosito staff had DOUBLE wrapped my burrito, an inner layer of aluminum foil encased within an outer paper layer) the rest of my W evening dinner was uneventful. Typically, El Picosito formulates their burritos w/ the protein of your choice, beans/rice, cheese, onions/cilantro and hot sauce- I made only one change, pivoting from the hot sauce to sour cream. My burrito was good sized, filling and quite toothsome, a rib-sticking, finger-licking meal. While I canmot affirm if they're "a lil bit spicy," they are a lotta bit tasty.
