Food for me here has been consistently good, nothing that will leave you amazed, but solid good food overall. The service is good, can usually get in and out within a reasonable time. They have a really good torta Cubana, if you like the Mexican sandwich give it a try.

A recent surprise quick trip to visit my best bud landed my fat ass in Sonoma and Mexican food was to be had. Seeing that I'm from San Diego and that we parade our Mexican fare as the best in the land, my expectations were pretty low. Welp, my expectations were met. In fairness we did not seek this place out but rather stumbled upon it when on a lengthy walk so you will see this review as one of many that I compose over the next few days summarizing our little taco-walk. Two tacos were ordered, two tacos were consumed - the crispy shell al pastor and the shredded chicken. Crispy shell al pastor: The shell was seemingly straight out of the box. A slightly better version of an Old El Paso that you'd find at your local grocery store and it was piled high with lettuce and cheese. Eh, decent, a better shell would elevate this taco. Shredded chicken: This taco was served on a corn tortilla and had some decently seasoned chicken but was certainly nothing to write home about. In both cases a little homemade salsa would go a long way here. Maybe it's a San Diego thing but the Mexican places IN Sonoma just don't seem to have salsa bars the way they do in SD and would make a world of difference. Let's just say, it's good to be home!

Very solid mexican place. It is one of our go to mexican restaurants in town. Prices are very reasonable and food always is fresh. The hubby got a shrimp cocktail which was very yummy. I got some california nachos with grilled chicken. I would of liked the fries to be more crispy but we did get them to go it could of been that. I love their grilled chicken very flavorful and not dry.

Very solid Mexican food. Service is great and good is very good. I had the Campechana (shrimp and octopus cocktail) and the carne asada tacos. Both were very good. My favorite go to Mexican food in Sonoma.

Great burritos every time. The chicken is delicious and crispy. Made the order correct both times. Quick too. Following CDC guidelines. Sooooo yummy!!

The entire staff was so nice, friendly, and genuinely attentive you could feel the hospitality the moment we walked in. We sat at the bar, and the bartender deserves a special shout‑out. He took amazing care of us. On his recommendation, we ordered the burgers, and they were honestly the best, juiciest, most delicious burgers we've ever had! Everyone we encountered in town had that same warm, welcoming energy. It made our quick lunch stop feel like a real experience, not just a meal. We left saying we have to come back and spend more time in downtown Sonoma this place and its people made a lasting impression.

We ordered oysters, deviled eggs, and a ceasar salad to start, then got the steak and broccoli for a main course. I loved the oysters, steak, chimichurri that came on it, crispy potatoes, and deviled eggs. These might have actually been some of the best crispy potatoes I've ever had, they did them pretty perfectly. The Caesar salad was a little mayo heavy in some bites and anchovy heavy in others, dressing could have been mixed a little better, but it was still good for the most part and a good portion too. I was glad we got the broccoli to have another vegetable, but didn't love the sauce on it. It didn't really go with what we were eating, and just felt like it could've been rounded out a little more. We lucked out, didn't have a reservation but they had a spot for us on the outdoor patio, which ended up being the perfect spot to dine on a nice warm evening. It was quaint and felt like someone's backyard, highly recommend sitting back here when the weather is good.

I ordered a local beer and my wife struggled deciding which drink to order but chose the mezcal cocktail. We ordered shrimp cocktail and oysters to start. Only the oysters came with horseradish but I feel that the shrimp should have had some with the cocktail sauce as well. Regardless, I'd order both raw bar dishes again. For entrees my wife ordered the steak frites which she thoroughly enjoyed. I couldn't decide on what I wanted so I ordered three appetizers. The tuna tartare and burrata were great but the pork belly was out of this world. Very flavorful and a well-thought-out dish; something that I will order every time I go there. We of course ended with dessert. The strawberry rhubarb crisp was terrific as was the crème brûlée. I didn't the sorbet paired well with the crème brûlée but it was delicious on its own. Dear lord... me and the rest of the customers all around me had a horrible experience. Our beepers would falsely go off, we go up to collect food, they tell us false alarm and keep waiting. No sorry, no apologies, no update when the food was gonna be there.. No explanation, nothing. The cashier at one point started laughing when another woman asked how much longer. There were dozens of people waiting so so long. I WAITED AT AN HOUR FOR 2 TACOS AND A QUESADILLA. I should have just asked for my money back. Customer service did not exist here today, such a bummer. I get it's a taco truck not a restaurant, but At least tell the customers if you were having some kind of issue. No one said anything to us except for the "turn your buzzer off it's not ready". Or offer something to compensate. Nothing. And an HOUR for tacos and a fricken quesadilla is diabolical. Do better.
