This restaurant sits in an old historic house. It's fun imagining what went on in the past. Ordered the Birria tacos and it was quite tasty. The beef was soft and tender and the consume was great. The taco salad was fresh and a nice serving for lunch. Lucky there was no wait but capacity is quite small dinner might get busy. Service was great and the restaurant was quaint

The food here is pretty good. My friends and I got different dishes and everyone enjoyed their meals. I ordered the quesobirria tacos and it was very good! Very filling and hearty, 3 tacos kept me so full I disnt eat dinner anymore. It has home like appeal and feeling when you dine in. Friendly and attentive staff.

    Quessabirrias plate. DELICIOUS.

My husband and I love this restaurant! The spicy green salsa and fresh crunchy chips was so good. My husband ordered the BBQ chicken sandwich and I ordered the quesabirrias plate. Both my husband and I were very happy with our meals. My plate was perfect: beans, rice, spicy sauce, and 2 tacos -so good! I also had to have a bite of my husband's sandwich because he loved it so much, and it was seriously the best bbq sandwich I've ever tried. The chicken was cooked perfectly. We both enjoyed our meals and we will be back for more! Also, the staff were all very kind and welcoming. This is our new favorite spot for Mexican food. Definitely recommend.

My husband and I recently arrived in Napa and stopped into this quaint 'home' for Lunch. It was somewhat busy for a Thursday afternoon and their menu had a Nice Assortment of Traditional Mexican Favorites. We received the typical chips with a green salsa that had a little 'kick'. The chips were Not even Warm, which was a little disappointing. My husband ordered two tacos a la carte while I opted for their chicken enchiladas. I was a little surprised at how long to took to receive our meals but they were good. My husband was a little disappointed with his two tacos since their were the 'typical' Street Tacos and were smaller than he had expected. My meal was very filling with not the usual enchilada presentation. The enchiladas were served with Shredded Lettuce, small pieces of White Cheese, Guacamole and Sour Cream on top. The chicken was a little bland with hardly any melted cheese inside or outside but the beans and rice were good. I would have liked just a little more Flavor added, Not Heat, but flavor.

Dimples recommended the chillireano and it was fire. Pass by yesterday with my son and my bro.

We parked between the theater and the restaurant, so it was only about a two-block walk for us and that was fine. When first walking in, it's a little dark inside, but that led to the ambience. It was also a little on the loud side, but not annoyingly so. It felt like a great place for a group of friends to come and get some food and drinks. I was excited to try the drinks--i started with La Guapa which I loved!! It wasn't too sweet, and not spicy either, despite the jalapeno. I followed it up with La Rosa.I typically love prickly pear margaritas, but this one was a little too sweet for me (but still good). The chips and salsa to start were great, nice and crispy. I had the green enchiladas for my entree and thoroughly enjoyed it. My mom just went with a chicken quesadilla and also enjoyed hers. For dessert, we had flan. Overall, it was a really nice dinner with good service!

I came to Napa for the weekend for the Napa to Sonoma Half Marathon…read more On Sunday after finishing the race, resting, and freshening up I needed a late lunch/dinner. Ended up being more dinner than lunch. I was walking all around downtown Napa looking at options and then looking them up on Yelp and just not really finding what I was looking for. After a while comfort food was on my mind and Los Agaves delivered. I always order chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant. I feel you can usually tell how good the food will be if they have really good chips and fresh salsa. The chips were delicious, salted just right and super crunchy. They honestly tasted like the chips my mom and grandma would make. They were super fresh as if they were made that day or recently. The salsa was soooo good. Has a little bit of heat at the back of the mouth once you take a bite. The cilantro comes through and offers fresh herbiness. And there is a hint of Smokeiness to the salsa as well. It's well balanced and you can actually taste each ingredient. I also love the consistency little chunks of onion, tomato, pepper, and cilantro but still a little liquidy so you can dip. I also ordered the Los Agaves cocktail (tequila, lime, cucumber, agave, and ube. I didn't really notice the ube flavor but it added beautiful color. The cucumber comes through. The tequila is also present , no watered down drinks here. :) I couldn't decide between steak or chicken tacos and my waitress said how about both? Sold. The meal was excellent. The tacos are fully loaded with meat, they don't skimp. But the real show stopper is the steak taco. It was so tender and flavor full. I ordered it without the cheese and I'm glad I did because it's the star of the dish all on its own. The rice and beans were lovely too, flavor yet light. The whole meal was exactly what I needed to recharge. I think one of the best things is this meal is light yet fulfilling. You don't feel bloated, overly full, or heavy. It's not greasy. It's refreshing. Thank you so much for the perfect post race meal!
