Avocado egg rolls
David G.

Came here on a Sunday evening and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Inside it's got a typical casual sit down restaurant feel. Food was all great, as were the drinks, and my favorite was the bang bang cauliflower. Our waiter was attentive but it just took us a while to get some of our items, and there was some confusion with the kitchen as to what items had run out or not, which seemed a little odd as the restaurant wasn't that busy.

I've come here a couple times and really enjoyed it. We started with the avocado Egg Rolls. They were a lot better than I was expecting. I do wish there was more in the portion but that's because they were so delicious. The main entree I ordered was the Short Rib Quesadilla which comes with one side of choice. The side, Cucumber Salad, was very refreshing and healthy. My husband chose 3 tacos which also came with a side. He ordered the Black beans and rice which were pretty good. Our server was fantastic and very helpful in choosing new entrees we haven't had before. The restaurant itself seemed cleaned and you can every have a fortune cookie on your way out. I'd highly recommend trying this restaurant. You might just come right back!

Stopped in for an afternoon bite and was delighted to discover this gem! I was not hungry but wanted a little snack. Luckily for me, they have a lot of finger foods for you to choose from. My server was so attentive and made sure I was informed about the menu. The vibe was very chill. I could have sat there all day long! I ordered the avocado egg rolls and some queso. The egg rolls were sensational. I've never had guacamole quite like that before. There may be no turning back. The queso was good too. The chips were really crushed up though. Last I could not leave this spot without seeing if they could make some A+ churros. They did not disappoint! These churros were crunchy, chewy and perfectly dusted. I could come back just for them lol. Overall great spot. I hear they are all over ATL. Stop by one when you get a chance. Tell them that ASH SAID IT sent ya! #ashsaidit

As always, everything here is great! The outside patio is so cute. Great service, cocktails & food. Get the asian nachos, love the wonton chips! Their bowls are all wonderful, filling & healthy!

Came here before a concert in Alpharetta on a Friday night and took a bit to get seated. Once we were seated, we ordered almost immediately. Our drinks took a while to come out, but they were enjoyable. The frozen mango margarita had a great flavor to it and it almost hid the taste of alcohol. I had a quesadilla with a side of tots and I devoured it so quickly. The food is pretty good and I'm sure their fusion foods are great to try

I love this place ! The food is amazing and service is the best. My family and I decided to dine here after visiting a relative in a nearby nursing home. We were tired and hungry - we started off with the avocado cilantro rolls, calamari and beef short rib empanadas. I also ordered the Elderflower Paloma. Everything delicious and fresh - even the drink. We ordered the following for our main entrees: Tai Chicken Taco, Asada Zing the all American grill with grilled chicken add chili lime salt with two eggs ~~ omg this is amazing ! The waitress recommended and she was so right ! Everyone at the table wanted it. I will be back !

Walk in the door and the vibe is relaxed and comfy. It's not the stuffy feel I feared it'd be. I actually avoided coming in without a 'date' because for some reason, I thought it was going to be upscale, pricey and formal because it's a fusion place. I was wrong. People are here in tshirts, shorts, and though it is full service and there's a full drink menu and great fusion meal options, it's not even a little bit pretentious. Leave your preconceived notions at the door and come on in! The gringo tacos (sorry, no picture, I grabbed and started eating too fast)... but if you're afraid to fuse-ion, this is definitely a safe 'gringo' option. If you're into fusion, you're probably gonna really love the selection! Half the menu is fusion drinks too! I got the Tsunami Wave, Texas Style... if you like bitter, don't get this... but i like sweet, and it was scrumptious.

Wonton Nachos and Avocado Cilantro Egg Rolls

Visited during Roswell Restaurant Week and had a great experience! Our waitress was so sweet and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. My friend and I got to try so many items, I was absolutely stuffed by the end of the meal. I had the wonton nachos, avocado egg rolls, southwest salad with grilled chicken, the churros, and tasted the chicken enchilada bowl and a piece of the short rib from a taco. The elote corn salad on the nachos was delicious, but I wasn't a fan of the wonton chips. The salad was huge, but I wasn't a huge fan of the grilled chicken , maybe the fried chicken would be better. The bowl was ok, not as flavorful as I had hoped. The churros were ok, but inconsistent with the cinnamon sugar. The avocado egg rolls though?! Definitely the best thing I had. The short rib meat was delicious too. Oh and the drinks! I had the Asian pear sangria which was super tasty. I also had the mango sangrita, but I was not a fan of the taste. Neither drinks were strong. Still, had a good experience here and will be back for the egg rolls, short rib taco (and others) and to try more drinks.

Korean Carnitas Taco - Rating 3.5/5

Upon making my rounds of browsing through Uber Eats for something a little different, this place immediately caught my attention. This was largely due to the notable variety of tacos displayed on the menu which was certainly an alluring sight for these eyes. After finally deciding to take that final step in risky financial decision making, I decided to order the Avocado Cilantro Egg Rolls, Chicken Enchilada Bowl, Asada Zing Taco, and Korean Carnitas taco. And just from this first time order alone, I knew that I discovered something special. The bowl was tasty enough to warrant ordering again (though I'd imagine it's even better at the restaurant) and the avocado egg rolls were a huge hit for me despite it being unfortunately hot and not appropriately cool from the delivery. The two aforementioned tacos were pretty okay but nothing that I'd get excited over. However, what I experienced there was potential with what the other unique tacos would taste like. So...I explored. Couple weeks later I ordered again and got the South of the Border Bowl which was good but felt like it was missing something to really push it over the edge. However, the tacos that I ordered this time is where I officially fell in love and made this restaurant a possible go-to every other week. These were the Shrimp Tempura taco, Baja Taco, and Gringo Taco. These were absolutely delicious and became instant favorites for me. Honestly, I could've eaten like 10 of these and die happy. Mark this down as the first time that a fish related taco excited my tastebuds. Now I know the combo of items that I'll be ordering on rotation, and as a bonus, the pricing isn't too far off from other popular restaurants in this category of cuisine ordering. My advice: give this place a shot and even if one or two tacos don't excite you, try the others anyway. It's worth it.

Flavorless beans and over cooked rice. :(
Rachel B.

I have been to Taqueria Tsunami at least 7 times (the location in Roswell 4 times in total) over the past 8 years, and enjoyed it less and less each time. I used to get so excited to go, but my most recent visit will likely be my last. As they have expanded and opened more locations I have experienced lower quality and less flavorful food. PROS: - I appreciate that they have a couple of tacos and appetizers that are vegan even without any modifications. - Always experienced consistent, friendly enough, quick service. - My son seems to enjoy their queso. - The tacos are stuffed full. CONS (This is really all about the food.): - It's lacking in flavor these days. They could use more seasoning and definitely more love in the kitchen. - The tacos get soggy before you can finish your first. - Beans have little to no flavor. - The rice was over cooked, and was a big ball of mush (instead of separate grains of rice). - The cauliflower app is tasty, but unfortunately because they drench it in the sauce it loses its fried crispiness almost immediately -- what's the point of eating fried junk food if it's not crispy?? :_( . I would appreciate if they served the sauce on the side for dipping. This way it could be reheated and eaten leftover as well!

Simone H.

The food was good, we ordered a few different appetizers and I had the taco trio. I have to say, I'm not sure if I was thirsty or dehydrated, but the water they give you is so good! Literally the crisp, fresh, pure taste was amazing. I don't know where they get that water. It tastes like alkaline but better. I'd be shocked to find out it's tap! I hate tap water. But the water with lemons was refreshing. Service was excellent as well. Believe it or not, the tea I ordered was from Kroger, but it was great. Had to be the water again.

a plate of empanadas with dipping sauce
Benjamin C.

It seems like more and more of these fusion taco places are popping up everywhere. I'm a firm believer that tacos are best cooked and eaten street style, but nevertheless, these fancier restaurant tacos are still really tasty. And these from the Taqueria Tsunami were no different. Tasty Korean style tacos and even an empanada, but a little small on the portions. The fried yuca and cheese dipping sauce was unique, so points for that. Overall, worth checking out.

Abigail N.

Good service and good food! Glad that they had vegan options, but wish they were more clearly labled on the menu!

I appreciated that the onions were finely diced and uniform, it may seem like a small detail, but it made each bite clean and balanced. I ordered a variety of meats, and it was immediately clear that the quality is excellent. Everything was diced small, cooked perfectly tender, and packed with flavor. Not a single bite was chewy, which really speaks to the care in preparation. The tortillas were outstanding, sturdy without being tough, with a depth of corn flavor that made me wonder if they're house-made or cooked with a high-quality fat. Either way, they held together beautifully and elevated the tacos. The salsa bar was another highlight, offering several fantastic options. Every sauce had great flavor and a well-balanced consistency. The place was packed, and I was the only non-Hispanic person there, which felt like a very good sign of authenticity. Despite that, the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

There is a salsa bar with plenty of limes and salsas and fixings including incredible pickled carrots and jalapeños. My son raved about his Al pastor tacos which were street taco sized. Will definitely be adding El Indio to my list of OUTSTANDING Mexican restaurants. GET HERE!! I will be working my way through this menu frequently!

The plastic water cups looked foggy and old. Everything here just seemed old and dirty. We started with the Dip Trio because the salsa that came with the chips was very spicy. The Grilled Chicken burrito barely had chicken and instead had a load of spicy chorizo (ground meat). It should've been called a chorizo burrito with chicken. The Yuca fries were like bricks (probably frozen). Our server was very nice which is why I gave this review 2 stars.

As soon as I walked in, I was seated and taken to a booth. Once I sat down I was handed a menu and was trying to figure out what I wanted. I was given water but the water tasted odd as if their filter needs to be changed. The seating was comfortable and there were plenty of places to sit. The ambiance was rather dark inside the restaurant. I ended up deciding on flautas and chose Mexican rice as my side. I didn't wait long for my food but the plating was very sloppy. A lot of cheese and just overall super unappetizing looking. However, I was starving so I made with what I had. The flautas were super oily and soggy so it was extremely hard to eat them without them failing apart. The rice was also watery as well and tasted mostly of tomato juice with how much watery they were. Service was alright, just very mediocre and grabbing plates when we weren't fully finished. Honestly, I could've made without going as the food was just alright. I most likely won't be coming back.

From the moment we walked in, the experience was incredible. The atmosphere and décor immediately stand out the entire place is filled with guitars and music memorabilia that reflect the owner's personal love for music. It gives the restaurant a really unique and authentic vibe that you don't see everywhere. What made it even more special was hearing the story behind the location. We had the pleasure of meeting April, who shared the history of Rock N Taco with us. She explained how the owner used to bike through that part of town as a kid, and when the space later became available, he chose it for the second location. Knowing that story makes the place feel even more meaningful you can tell it was built with heart and passion. The service was exceptional. Our server, Savanna, was wonderful friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. In fact, every staff member we encountered made us feel invited and appreciated the moment we stepped inside. The food absolutely delivered as well. I ordered the taco salad and my husband ordered tacos, and we both loved our meals. Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and perfectly prepared. What stood out most, though, was how kind and accommodating the staff were to our family. We were traveling with both an infant and a toddler, and they made sure we were comfortable and taken care of the entire time. They even surprised us with a special treat on the house before we left, which was such a thoughtful touch. It's easy to see that while the food is fantastic, Rock N Taco understands that people go out for the full experience atmosphere, hospitality, and feeling welcomed and they absolutely nailed it. If you're in Roswell, do not skip Rock N Taco. It's not just a late-night spot; it's also the perfect place to stop during the day for a great meal or while passing through on a road trip. We'll definitely be stopping again the next time we're in town. Thank you - Tom, Alysia and family.

Rock & Taco feels like the kind of place that stays busy because after two margaritas, a few…read moretouchdowns, and a packed crowd, nobody's really focused on the food. The chips arrived so greasy I briefly considered checking my cholesterol before ordering dinner. The margaritas were forgettable and showed up with nothing on the rim. Salt? Tajín? A little effort? Apparently not. Our finished plates sat on the table for so long they started feeling like additional dinner guests. The guacamole looked like a first-round draft pick and tasted like it got cut during training camp. It had all the visual promise in the world, but the flavor suggested either overripe avocados or yesterday's leftovers wearing a fake mustache. The jalapeño poppers deserve special recognition. These weren't just an appetizer. They were a dare. I like spicy food and rarely complain about heat, but these things were weaponized. They seemed harmless at first, but the next morning you'll find yourself reflecting on every decision that led you to that moment. Let's just say your digestive system remembers them long after your taste buds have moved on. The tacos were aggressively average. My food arrived lukewarm, the buffalo sauce had all the heat of a Hallmark card, and the lettuce tasted like it had just completed a few laps in a swimming pool then stored in plastic. The highlight of the evening was Music Bingo, which was genuinely fun and probably responsible for keeping my overall rating higher than the food deserved. If you're looking for a place to watch sports, have drinks, laugh with friends, and enjoy the atmosphere, you'll probably have a great time. If you're going for a memorable meal, the most memorable thing might be those jalapeño poppers reminding you they exist 12 hours later.
