Happily impressed with the Local Expedition Wood Fired Grill. I met my daughter for a quick dinner. I arrived before her and secured us a table as seating is limited. I ordered the Hummus plate with warm Pita Bread as to stave off my hunger as I waited. It was very good! Once my daughter arrived we ordered a Chinese Chicken Salad and the Grilled Chicken with 2 sides. Everything was hot and fresh and delivered expeditiously. Our to go orders of wings and a pork plate for our significant others were equally tasty. I will definitely return when I'm in the area and wanting something quick, healthy & delicious. I had such high expectations of this place from other reviews and honestly it was a let down. The food is mediocre and the portions are not a lot, for their plates they just give you a ton of rice, 4 pieces of chicken and whatever sides you picked 1-2. I really like how this establishment prepares different veggies and keeps the menu just varied enough to keep customers coming. The ordering process is a bit confusing for first timers but there are devices by the front door to put your order in. You can also order at the counter but they will refer you to the device if they are too busy. The interior can easily feel quite cramped because of limited seating and oftentimes when I go, there's a lot of people. The food is really good and the portions are big. I especially loved the Local fries and their roasted corn! The rice was cooked unevenly; some grains were overdone and some were underdone. The chicken was tender and came in big chunks but definitely needed sauce to give it more flavor other than an overall smokiness. read more

We walked back and forth to the cashier a couple of times before he finally provided clear instructions... Search for menus under the Yelp sign on the side of the glass case, then look up to the board with the daily side options hanging on a board, then inform the person behind the counter there of your order, then stroll to the cashier and pay. Pick up any sauces...hubby preferred the bbq and buffalo chickenish flavor. Of my 3 sides...spinach/spaghetti squash was my favorite, sweet potatoes, then seared brussel sprouts were a bit spicy/crunchy even for me. Pita was soft and warm. Hubby enjoyed his chicken, rice, cauliflower/peas, and broccoli. Very close to the Costco and parking in close areas if the immediate spot are filled. I could not enjoy my meal though because the entire time I was there people without handicap placards kept using the handicap parking spot as a place to park their car while they went in for pick up. It is a small and busy parking lot which I guess made these able bodied jerks feel entitled to a few minutes but news flash if someone is consistently using it for "a few minutes" then it's not available for the people who need it read more

Wonderful flavor and a lot of food! This place is pretty highly rated with lots of reviews so we thought we need to try it. I can see why they get such good ratings. The food is well done! However the wings do not come with a wing sauce on them... you select your sauce and it comes out in a separate little container. Normally I like that... but the sauce I chose was just ok... I wanted a Buffalo sauce but that was not a selection. A place that sells wings and no Buffalo sauce... really? The sauce I got was a bbq sauce and it was ok. Each sauce you get is a charge... I think they need a sampler sauce option for newbies... like I was. They were also just starting out using some ordering kiosks and that experience... especially for a first time orderer, was very clunky. I'm sure the system is better now but it was slightly confusing then. They readily admitted that they were getting used to it too. The location is great! Upon walking in, I was pretty confused about where and how to order. There was no greeting or instructions. I walked over to the cashier and requested a handheld menu, he guided me to the food counter and provided me one. As I was reviewing the menu, I went back to the cashier to order and pay. The food feels very healthy, wholesome, and nutritious and it's a good option if you don't want to cook but still want to eat well. I could tell this was going to be 5 stars within seconds of walking in. First of all, it smells amazing and the decor is super cute. I love the ordering kiosks and that you see your food being prepared. They have an awesome selection of Stubborn soda and a different section with pretty much any other drink you'd want. So, as for the food. I got the pulled pork with two sides (local fries and brussel sprouts). Everything was perfect. The pork was tender, the fries were some of the best I've ever had, Brussels were perfectly cooked and the naan was fresh and delicious. This is my favorite place in the whole state of Georgia. Been going since 2018. My ideal order: Grilled Chicken Plate, sweet potatoes, broccoli or Brussels sprouts. They have basmati rice so if you aren't a fan you can sub for a salad, no extra charge. You must try the fries once atleast. Cooked to a perfect crisp texture. All the sauces are made in house and my favorite is the lemon garlic. The workers are friendly and don't change often which is an amazing sign. If you're wanting healthy and organic, hormone free foods, go here. The portion size is huge, I often get a chicken plate with two sides and can have left overs for my next meal. To be honest, we could done without the hummus because the plate was huge but we got a little greedy! The hummus appetizer was absolutely delicious! This is one of the best places I've eaten recently and such a pleasant surprise from most restaurants these days. Incredibly fresh and tasty ingredients with large portion sizes. Truly a lot of great options to choose from here. You have pita wrap options, protein options, salads, and more. I cannot wait to come back and try more off the menu. It was also not terribly priced. The tomatoes and cucumbers were so finely chopped that it was hard to grab them with a fork. The grilled chicken was pretty good, but that's about it. Waste of money! My wife said her pulled pork was dry and tasted like it was sitting there all day. We were here at noon, so no excuse for that at all. I have to say I wouldn't recommend the hummus plate after today. Very little hummus and only two olives, mostly pita for $7.00. I will be getting hummus at Milton Tavern or Eclipse di Luna next time. Maybe this was just an off night, but it's disappointing to pay almost $50 with tip and not enjoy the food. You place your order by stepping up to the counter. Server was extra friendly, we chose a meat (chicken, pork) and then sides from the daily options. There was a line of sides on display. We chose sweet maple carrots and LA corn. The corn was great- best thing there for sure. Everyone was saying it in line and we agree. The daily side I chose (carrots) weren't cooked great. The meat was tender, and there were sauces available. We also got pulled pork. Highly recommend this choice. The pineapple was a good dessert for three to share, but probably wouldn't get again. Fresh, delicious and nice atmosphere. This was our first time and we will definitely be back. It was all good. We put together our own meal and nothing disappointed. We had the LA Street Corn, green beans, Local Fries, hummus and a dozen smoked chicken wings. Tried all their sauces, but particularly like the BBQ and mustard based ones the best. The Local Fries had a lot of cool stuff on it, but could have used a little something with more of a zing. We still enjoyed them though. The staff was friendly and helpful and while the food is prepared after you order, it comes out quick. The wings are "MAKE YOU SLAP YO MOMMA" good and shoot to be honest, I don't think I've had a bad meal in this place.
