    Torta with carnitas
    Alyanna J.

Came here for lunch during my work break I ordered the burrito with el pastor and the torta with carnitas. If you want one of the best burritos you'll have, this is it. Wasn't too heavy or too light, rather the perfect in between! The meat was fantastic. I would immediately comeback here again for that burrito. My friends also agreed. The red sauce pairs perfectly with it. The torta was a different story. I think it was okay, it was just really soggy and the meat was okay. It was my first time having a torta like that was like that, so I was just a little confused. But if it wasn't soggy, it would've been great for a sandwich. The service was also fantastic. They gave us a free drink on the house. I also took note of their specials and they seem to be doing offers and discounts frequently! I would definitely recommend this place to others

Charming mom and pop shop. They were SO SO SO kind and I got the chicken adobado & shredded beef bowl for $10 (a Tuesday special price). Super flavorful and tender meat. Very happy with my experience and will be back!

Over the top service. Super welcoming. Honest with food selection and best products put out for that day! Homestyle decide with minimal art. Their Spanish title back splash was epic. The ambiance is warming and the music matches the vibes. Food is on point. I forgot to take a photo before I started eating. You get the point!

My first time actually visiting Taqui Taqui. I always had the food delivered. The restaurant is very clean and the owners are very friendly. I went to the restaurant because I did not understand why the Shrimp Enchiladas were not on the delivery menu. I was disappointed to learn that they took the Shrimp Enchiladas off the menu, really disappointed. I started to leave because I was craving the Shrimp Enchiladas. I decided to try one of the bowls. I added rice, black beans, garlic shrimp, and pork with onions, cilantro, lettuce, and a lot of habanero sauce. I did enjoy the bowl, but not as much as the Shrimp Enchiladas. The brothers/owners were very apologetic about taking the Shrimp Enchiladas off the menu. The gave me a free drink and a dessert. I didn't eat the dessert because I am not a fan of sweets, but I appreciated the gesture. I would probably get the bowl again if I think about. In the past, I have only thought about Taqui Taqui when I wanted the Shrimp Enchiladas. Please forgive any typos, this was typed on a mobile device.

I just tried best burritos in LA here , it was super yummy ,highly recommend without doubt

Absolutely deserves a full 5 stars on Google Maps! This is one of the coziest little spots I've come across in LA, and they serve hands down the most delicious burrito I've ever had. Flavorful, fresh, and made with care , you can truly taste the difference. The place is clean and inviting, and the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. They make you feel genuinely welcome from the moment you walk in. I'm giving this place a solid 5/5 -- honestly, if I could, I'd give it a 5 plus!

This spot was so good! Service was so friendly and welcoming. Great for spot for eat in or takeout but do not skip on the dessert, they gave me a piece of tres leches cake to try as it was my first visit and it was so delicious! I'm just visiting friends nearby but will absolutely tell them to add this to their rotation.

Good to say baby approved lol carne asada torta & guacamole with chips

I've been wanting to try this pace for a while. It's close to home and on InKind. Called my order in for pick up instead of using uber or door dash hoping to save the restaurant some money. Unfortunately, my order had issues. I was told on the phone it would be ready in 5 min. I got there in 10 and it wasn't ready. My bowl was missing the protein and was cold. We also ordered a burrito. It was missing the melted cheese, mixed cheese and light sour cream. The burrito was also cold. The flavors were ok to good but would have tasted better warmer. I tried calling back around 8 pm to let them know but no one answered. The space is cute and we ran into Rubio's Bakery for a dessert while we waited. Lots of potential here. Just need to execute better. Maybe just an off night. I hope they are ok with feedback.

Its almost unbelievable, but Mexican food just got even better! This family hails from the neighborhood, and you can taste the love they pour into every bite. You really can't go wrong with anything you order, but those asada tacos? They've stolen my heart! If you're lucky, you might run into the brothers who run the place--they'll treat you to some top-notch service and even sneak you a little sample before you commit. This cozy spot can get pretty busy at certain times, so be ready to wait in line. Yes, it's *that* good! And trust me, it's worth it. Oh, and a special shoutout to those freaking birria tacos--OMG!!!"

Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. It is a little slice of oasis in the middle of the fashion district. The restaurant itself - beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. Absolutely perfect in my book. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. The service was quick and attentive. Parking was easy for us. I will definitely be back!

The staff are lovely humans who really seem to care about their customers. We have some faves on the menu. The bean dip is fabulous and I'm addicted to the baby gem salad. They have recently amped up the filling in the delicious crispy squash blossoms and I love the acidity and heat. The fish is also a hit in my books. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The vibe in the place is welcoming and the restaurant is nicely appointed. We will continue to be regulars and it's really worth trying if you haven't been yet.

They guide you to the entrance which about one hundred feet north. Walking in you're shown many awards, culminating in a 2025 Michelin. There must have been a special occasion to be welcomed by music that was incredibly loud. We sat down, and I couldn't hear myself think, or the waiters voices. We asked for another table, but unfortunately that brought a certain type of attitude from the host. I'm sure the music would have been nice if it wasn't as loud, on amplified speakers. After finally being seated, near the bar, the service seemed great. Seating seemed plentiful, but I can now see why a reservation is necessary. To start, the appetizer we chose was a queso fundido which was ok on their smaller tortillas. I must have been spoiled by Chalio's homemade giant tortillas. Chalio's on Atlantic by the way. Guelageutza uses sautéed mushrooms, and they garnished it with this guacamole that didn't really taste that good. Mushrooms on the fundido didn't seem right, but individually they tasted great. The chorizo was ok. My gf likes to try those types of apps. They're not known for that, so I can let it pass. Our order was taken, food was quick, and hot. The attentiveness of the staff was good, but their smiles were absent. Must have had a long day. I got the black Mole chicken, my gf got the enchilada negras(black mole) topped with their tesajo. My dish was good, hot, and full of mole, which was delicious as well. They served it with their tiny homemade corn tortillas. They have several types of mole. My gf got the enchiladas Oaxaceñas and it looked good until I took a bite of the enchiladas. They just poured mole over the tortillas and that's where the flavor went flat. The tortillas were dry and not dipped in the sauce. Traditionally in my family, we fry our tortillas lightly in oil, or lard, and roll them in the sauce. My gf didn't even finish them. I ate all of my meal, and I took her enchiladas home. They were even worse as leftovers. I tried to order their traditional flan, but they had ran out, so I ordered their tres leches. It was ok. I was really disappointed that they ran out of flan though. All in all, this establishment was ok. The atmosphere seemed very manufactured, but I've never had the pleasure of visiting Oaxaca. The mole negro was delicious on the chicken. Seeing that It was recommended on Yelp, I agreed with the statement of picking that dish. The bathrooms were great with a good amount of stalls. I can't say that about a lot of good delicious Mexican food restaurants here in LA. They seem to be more of an afterthought with some. Reminding myself this was Michelin rated restaurant, I didn't get that same feeling with the food though. This now, will give me an excuse to look into why a restaurant is rated as such to understand why that matters so much.
