There were a few dine-ins and plenty of delivery and pick up orders and we were told it was probably quicker to take out (instead of eat in as that was something we considered). We decided to take out in case it would take too long to wait for our food dining in. We ordered the Taquitos Mexico- three tacos with two types of steak and chorizos with guacamole and two tostadas- one with chicken and one with steak. We had to wait a bit for the food but it was worth it. The tacos were stuffed with meat and the serving of guacamole was super generous! We added green sauce on top, and it was soo soo good! Cheap mexican food when you know how to order the right portions! I highly recommend the salad bowl. It's HUGE, flavorful, freshly fried, and picture worthy. If you're here with just 1 other person I advise you to order just this and something small like a taco or two because you will be stuffed! I also recommend eating in because they give you complimentary chips and salsa as you wait and it's pretty thoughtful considering that they get quite a lot of phone orders and delivery at night. The enchiladas were okay and spicy. I figured out that I'm not an enchilada person so I'm going to stop ordering it, but this and the salad bowl was just way too much for me and my boyfriend. Solid tacos and tostadas. This place is legit. Really cranking out some good stuff. You walk in and people are moving at the speed of light and it seems like a place solely for take out but you'd be wrong! They have a really sweet server out front that welcomes you in and seats you in a large dining area right through the next room. Once seated you get a fresh basket of fried tortilla chips and homemade sweet/spicy salsa. They have a huge menu of everything Mexican that you can ever want. But my go-to's here are always the tostadas or the tacos. Everytime I come here I always get 3 tostadas with all the fixings: one carnitas, one steak, and one lengua (tongue, don't be grossed out, tongue is real eaters food and it is delicious, tender, and packed full of flavor). With that, I drizzle on copious amounts of the homemade green sauce and I'm set. I always leave this place full and happy. read more

It's a small spot and an open kitchen so expect to smell like food. The food is tasty and has a good amount of portion. I really don't mind smelling delicious when I come out of here. The guacamole was on point! The quesadillas are so good, my favorite is the mole and my second favorite is the green sauce. Also, the tamale was moist and addicting. I love tamales, but sometimes other places tend to make it dry, not here. Service is so so, there is somewhat of a language barrier because the waitress does not speak English well. We ordered the guac with fresh tortilla chips, and waiter recommended the popular porky burrito. I wanted to try the store's horchatas drink, since it was a hot day. Last time I ever order from here. Called to place an order. Guy answered and told me to wait. He put the phone down and answered another call coming in. I could hear him speaking Spanish to the customer who called after me. He took that person's order before mine. I was holding for 10 minutes while he took his time to talk to me. After 10 minutes on hold, he took my order. I could barely hear him speak and he could barely hear me since the music and background noise was so loud. I had to repeat my order several times. Then I told him a was going to use my credit card. He told me to hold on and surely enough, he decided to answer other calls coming in who where placing orders. After another 10 min, he came back on the phone and took my credit card information. I had to repeat myself 4 times because he obviously couldn't hear me due to all the noise in his background. I was about to ask him how long for delivery, and he hung up. I called him back and let him have it. I told him cancel my order immediately and I'll never order from you again. He said he couldn't refund my credit card. Ha Ha That's absolutely B.S any merchant can credit your credit card once its processed. I hung up on him and called my Credit card company. As I was on the phone with them, my door bell rings and guess who it was. Yup its was the delivery. How is it that the guy who took my order said it would take 45 min then when In told him to cancel my order, it arrived literally within 10 minutes. I told the delivery guy that I told the guy on the phone that I didn't want it anymore. Trying to speak to a delivery guy who only spoke Spanish was yet another highlight to my evening. He finally left with the food. I hope the owners of this business read these reviews because others have had the same problem. TL;DR: they brushed off my several phones calls only to realize they never actually started making my order an hour and a half later on my third phone call!! They kept saying yeah yeah it's on the way, 10 min, anything to get me off the phone. Even hung up on me once. It was ONE burrito, and I'm 6 min away..... AVOID DELIVERY AT ALL COSTS. It used to be a super small/take out atmosphere, but it now has enough seating for small groups and couples! Tacos are extremely affordable at 3 for $10. You can choose the basic (cilantro and onion only) or "everything" tacos which have the cheese/cilantro/onion/tomatoes/lettuce/cream. Get the everything and thank me later. It's filling and satisfying... You won't need more than 3! Well, maybe a side of guac which is also bangin! ;) I will say that their chicken tacos are OK but on the blander side compared to the other meats. Try the tongue (I know, sounds weird but actually delicious). The chorizo tasted like slow cooked pork but pan fried and ample amount of meat. I am a fan of this place! Previously I only frequented tacos el Bronco and matamorros but I think I found a new favorite! This place is cleaner the service is friendlier and faster and oh yea the food is better! Tacos goes from $2-3 and tostadas are around the same too and they are both delicious! I really like the sauce they give with the free chips and their green sauce for the tacos is very spicy. The only complaint I would have is that their tacos are a little bland but once you add the green sauce everything just goes together. At the other restaurants it would take me two small taco and one large one to get full, whereas over here one large taco and one large tostada I'm all set! Their strawberry milkshake is delicious too but someone should introduce them to the large bubble tea straws because trying to drink their milkshake out of those tiny straws are impossible read more

I really didn't want to write this review... Food reviews are fairly simple for me and for the establishment to achieve; serve good food AND good service and you have a winning equation. So on the first part this place actually above average the food was tasty fresh and very good tasting. The service however a total different story, I don't know if there was a language barrier or the lady at the counter was overwhelmed juggling phone calls and taking orders of physical patrons. I speak fluent Spanish my 2 friends however do not and as a result there were 3 extra items added to the order, a total of $25 extra to the order, that we HAD to take and the employees didn't even try to accommodate us. Is that a way to conduct business?? Just add random items (even if not intentional) and just expect the customers to pay for them? So far I've tried the: - Chicken torta with Chipotle Chicken: Hearty sized Mexican sandwich, better to eat right away before the bread gets soggy - Tamale Oaxaquenos: The chicken inside was so delicious - Soft Tacos Poblanos: The grilled chicken one was a little dry in my opinion but the al pastor taco is a must! So sweet, savory and caramelized. Quite juicy so expect to get messy :) - Bistec a la Tampiquena with rice and black beans: the grilled steak is very flavorful. - Spicy salsa: I've tried 3 of their salsas. The light green one is my absolute favorite. The dark green is also pretty good. Though the red salsa was way too spicy for me :) Delivery: From Seamless, takes about 30-40 min so I'd order in advance. Delivery guys are always friendly. The best neighborhood taco joint - hands down. Its cheap, it's flavorful, it's fast, it GETS THE JOB DONE. Andddd if you eat there they give you free salsa and chips!! The salsa seems home made and it's a mix between sweet and spicy - it's pretty different from other salsas I have tried before. My favorite things to order from here are the spicy pork tacos with everything and enchiladas mole.
