I think their daily special and sales marketing is to tout "50% off marked prices" which is attention grabbing, but at the end of the day it's a good price and at time great price, but that 50% off hook is unnecessary if they just cut all of their prices in 1/2 and just left the stickers with the price you'll pay without having to figure out the math. In a way, having the 50% off sale feels like an unnecessary hustle, in my opinion. The service here is friendly, and in that way, I think they can get rid of that 1/2 off Marketing tactic. The sales people are accommodating and helpful. Their selection is nice, it's mainly costume jewelry and has some nice trendy fashion that's affordable. The store sparkles and shimmers with bling bling, and they have a lot of necklaces as well as other accessories. I came here today and dont get me wrong, they have really cute stuff. I wanted to find some cute stuff and they did have ones I wanted. However, my mood was ruined when the cross-eyed sales clerk asked us if we were looking for anything in specific to which we answered "no we are just looking around" (if I needed her help I would have obviously reached out.) When we said that, she gave us a look and then turned and looked at her co-worker. We immediately noticed that and decided to just leave. That made me feel really upset and mad and after that, I wasn't gonna give them my business. Sales people should keep their nasty attitudes at home and if they can't, at least get a decent job where you know you will be of service to people. People who daily are being busted for their dishonesty, that's who! Couldn't reach her on any phone. Finally she calls me back because I had her cell to text. All her out going phone messages on both business and personal say automatic recorded thing like "message system has not been set up" or "message box is full" with no way to reach her or them. I was looking for a head piece for my wedding so I headed downtown. I had walked passed this place many times. I walked in and was greeted with "Everything is 60% off the price is on the top." The sales person kept yelling things about the merchandise behind the counter. I guess it was too long of a walk to come over to us. There were some headpieces behind a locked glass case. The saleswoman finally came over to us and said, "Would you like to see something behind the case." I said sure and pointed to a headpiece. "She gave me the price and told me they were Swarovski crystals but never opened the case. Why did she ask me if I wanted to see something if she was not going to show it me? I ended up buying some earrings but walked next door for a beautiful headpiece for 10 bucks. read more

Inside you will find an overwhelming selection of jewelry, but if you have time to spare, I guarantee you will find what you're looking for and some really cool items. Be aware of the pricing gimmick....They price everything above retail price and then will offer you 50% off to get you to buy. I've also overheard them not offer the discount to some patrons as well. The jewelry in here will make you bling-asm all over the place. I'm not even kidding you, I stepped into here while I was shopping the "alleys" in the Downtown Fashion District. The actual storefront is on Santee about the 4th or 5th store on the right after the corner of Santee and Olympic. This store is packed with rhinestones and crystals and huge gorgeous necklaces and fierce stylish bracelets and earrings. I actually came to Downtown to get some "Basketball Wives" earrings...you know those ones that are hoops with the crystal blingy beads that the reality tv chicks wear? They are soo cute but anyway I had checked a few stores on Santee and no one had them or if they did they had the cheapy plastic kind. As a last resort, I stumbled into Tara and asked the lady where I could get them, to my content she told me that their store actually customizes them to whatever color, size, bling factor you want. I ended up choosing a medium hoop with gunmetal gray and black crystal-stoned beads without spikes. And might I add I am extremely happy with my purchase! Question: If this is true why haven't Tara Jewelry contact Groupon directly and have them remove the Groupon and refund all those who purchase them? The Groupon is still up?? We were searching for the perfect necklace for my mother's wedding ceremony. We found this beautiful heart necklace and matching earrings and decided to buy it. While we were checking out, one of the workers went to wrap up the necklace but she took an extremely long time. We waited for at least 10+ minutes JUST to receive the necklace from the back. It got so long to the fact that my mom grew impatient, walked out and she left me to wait for it. When we got home, my mom was attempting to take a picture and noticed that it was broken. We called the store and the employee offered to find another one, or try and fix it. The reason i gave two stars is because i strongly feel that she knew that it was broken. Why else would take so long? I dont like the fact that she didnt speak up. It would have been just fine if she would have brought it to our attention. This place does not even deserve one star, I went there used my debit card and next thing someone used my card to purchase stuff on line 60 different times, like makeup and Shose but my banks security stopped the charges. This was the only place I used my card within a 5 day period and the fraud happened hours after I went there. I have reported this crime.
