I like the salon better than how my eyebrows were shaped. It's mostly personal preference, I'm very picky about my eyebrows and it's hard for me to find the right match, unfortunately Tara won't be it. She is very nice, took her time, was gentle and I appreciate all of that but the results were not what I was looking for, they are rounder than I wanted and with the amount of growth, I know it could've been shaped better. Also, with taking her time, just note u may be in there longer than other eyebrow places. This isn't a quick in and out thing. The environment is set up that way too, the music is so zen, they were even whispering, it's so quiet, more a like a spa. Walked in after searching for a nearby place for brow threading. Location is in a tiny strip mall next to Al Noor. Across the street from the shopping center where Vons and In n Out is. Easy access via Marine or Inglewood. I didn't have any expectations going in. Just wanted cleaned up brows. Vishnu was the available threader so she handled my business. For brows only, $7. You can pay with card and tip on the card as well. But we all know cash is preferred ;) I would definitely return. read more

It's almost been a week since I've gotten my eyebrows done at Taras and this morning I realize how great they look and decided to do a review. I was in the area and looked up eyebrow threading and Taras up. Decided to give them a try. Being a beauty expert myself I know how hard it is to find a great eyebrow person but I went out on a limb and said let's go to Tara and got my eyebrows threaded. There wasn't a way in for eight dollars you can't beat the service. This is the best place for threading. First and foremost the price is unbeatable. $18 for eyebrows, chin, and upper lip. Just because the prices are low this doesn't mean that the service is any less than other places. The two women that work are always polite and friendly. The ambiance of the space is relaxing and clean. They both do a really good job at shaping and cleaning up the brows. They also give a little eyebrow/temple massage after they are done threading. It's extremely relaxing. Parking is very easy. It's in a small strip mall next to boost mobile. From the area it comes off a little dingy and low. But once inside this place is a diamond in the ruff. I love this place! Over the past 12+ years I've gone to multiple salons to get my eyebrows threaded and this has been the absolute best! They REALLY take their time making sure your eyebrows are perfect. They usually spend 20-30 minutes on my eyebrows. Afterwards, they ask you if "you want some gel?" You've come to the right place to get your brows threaded for an affordable price. Minju did an amazing job on my brows and took her time making sure it was symmetrical and had its full shape. I asked to keep the full shape and for just a clean up. The shop wasn't too busy and had at least 1 or 2 waiting the entire time I was there. Even with people waiting, Minju took her time working on each of my brows meticulously. Price is very affordable at $7 for brows and $5 for upper lip (not including tip). The shop is very clean and is in a shared parking lot with several other shops near the 405. I'll be making this my go-to when I am in the South Bay Area! read more

Glad I did because now I have a new brow place and saved a lot of $! I think Tara did my threading/brow shaping. She was very friendly and listened to what I wanted-I keep my brows pretty full and bushy, haha. Anyway, I needed help with shape and a clean up because they just kinda resembled 2 straight caterpillars since I was growing them out. Very pleased with the end result...even and still full, with some added arch underneath for shape. I also started a stamp card (10 times and the 11th is free). Wonderful first experience! The gal who worked on me was kind, gentle, and respectful. She listened carefully to what I said and did an amazing job. She fixed my eyebrows which were a mess from the place I used to go to at the beach. Even though she had a lot to do (my face and neck), she took her time, was careful, and went about it methodically. The pressure she applied was just right--I couldn't believe it didn't hurt as it had at my previous shop where I'd usually gone home with bruised skin which remained discolored for several days. I thought that was normal. My husband was surprised at how good my face looked even right afterwards. He was accustomed to me wanting to go home and hide from my previous experiences. Soooo good! Before I found my now ex-brow place, my thick eyebrows would /always/ get butchered. Stripped thin, I tell ya. So, paying $20 for just eyebrows was totally worth it to me considering my traumatizing past. I swore off any other brow place, ever! I'm serious about my eyebrows. Saying that...2 weeks ago, I had to get my eyebrows done for an event I had the next day, but my eyebrow place was closed, so I took to yelp and found this place (with awesome reviews) and decided I'd "yolo" it because I had no other option. I have been coming to Tara's for years. From my old yelp acct, I made a review on her already. This my 2nd review for her. She always greets everyone who comes in her shop with a lovely smile and warm greetings. Not once did I see her having a bad day or anything like that. She has a very pleasing personality. Like I mentioned before n my old post, she's got a light hand when she does your brows. Not too painful for me at all and sometimes none of it either! Unlike others, I didn't follow Tara here. I actually live just a couple blocks away and saw that this placed had opened and decided to take a chance. I'm moving in a couple months and am so bummed I didn't have Tara sooner. She was great! The place is small and cute. New. There are some very nice beauty stations with nice chairs. There's a tv in the waiting room. Tara isn't fast, but she's meticulous and I prefer that. I love that she takes great care with my eyebrows and actually took the time out to explain to me my shape and what she would like to do moving forward. She checked in with me to be absolutely positive of what I wanted since it was my first time with her. Most people don't even go through that kind of trouble. Tara is super nice and my eyebrows came out great. This place is affordable, parking is ample and you also get a loyalty card where you get a free threading after 10 or so.
