Food is really Good yummy Service is really good too [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance you feel like to are in Italy ![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Just liked to here some Italian song[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We came here on 2024 and now we're back again but I forgot to do write a review about this place so here I am again and I'm gonna update my review and say how nice still is this place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]today that we came it was more busy but these pictures are just a throwback[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Bacon Wrapped Shrimp (4)

Unfortunately, this place was mid. We got multiple things to share - Split Pea Soup, Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, Jojo's Spicy Pasta, Philly Cheesesteak and Meatballs. I was shocked that the jojo's pasta was very ok given that it had been one of the most popular items on yelp. We felt that it lacked flavor. The meatballs was probably the best thing. Nothing was particularly bad, just not amazing either.

Brisket of beef over pasta with sauce and garlic toast

We have been dying to come back here for the past 4 years. Tardino Brothers is located in Pasadena, and we aren't often in the neighborhood. We were able to stop in for lunch today. Our server, Kevin, took great care of us, and that added to our meal of course. We decided to split two of the weekly specials. A 12-in pizza with one slice each of mushrooms, peppers, sausage and pepperoni. An amazingly delicious pizza, the other dish we ordered was brisket of beef served over pasta, with parmesan and garlic toast. I've never heard of brisket over pasta, but you got to try this one. The brisket was done to perfection, and the sauce gravy was absolutely delicious accompanied by an excellent pasta and superb garlic toast. If we lived closer, we would come here at least twice a month, if not more. Do yourself a favor and enjoy this wonderful place.

Our favorite part of the meal was the complimentary bread & dip as well as the soup. Both Tomato Bisque and Vegetable Minestrone were so flavorful. Don't be alarmed. The food was good too. The Shrimp & Crab Ravioli, a special, had a good amount of crab. Jo Jo's Spicy Pasta is deservingly a popular dish. The portion was generous. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is tiny with a few tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The patio is more spacious although I didn't step outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I believe diners were watching a game on TV outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was friendly and attentive. Our server offered us more bread & dip after we devoured the first round. I look forward to returning.

Had a quick dinner with a friend here in Pasadena on a Friday night. We ordered two pasta dishes, and it came with a complimentary appetizer. As much as I would love to give this place five stars, unfortunately, I found a piece of white hair in my appetizer sauce, which made the rest of the meal a bit harder to enjoy. The spicy pasta I ordered was still good overall (8/10). The cheesy bread it came with was great, and I liked how rich and thick the cream sauce was with the seasoning well incorporated. Service-wise, the cashiers were a bit rushy, likely because it was close to closing time. The ambience inside was nice and cozy, and there was also outdoor seating available. Parking is available at the parking structure across the street for around $7 on a weekday night.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Omg this place is so comforting and the staff are phenomenal![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Super nice and happy to answer any questions we had about the menu. The Spicy Pasta -- the sauce is DIE for! (Pro-tip: order the stuffed mushrooms w sausage and make those babies swim in this sauce). Pasta is cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce isn't too spicy (so if you have wiggle room to make the pasta MORE spicy if you want). Stuffed Mushrooms -- these are little crack bombs. They are savory, salty and have the "lingering taste" that makes you want to order more. Burrata Salad w/ Seasonal Fruit -- The Burrata cheese is fresh and delicate and whatever balsamic the kitchen gave us --- it's a hit! This dish is a refreshing additional that compliments the pizza and pasta entrees BBQ Pizza -- the pizza didn't feel too overwhelming. Not overloaded w/ toppings. I really like the bread (we spit the crusts by dipping it in the balsamic and the pasta sauce). The dough has a nice soft crunch to it but it is soft/chewy enough that it doesn't hurt your teeth. I like pizzas that have a bit more sauce to them (personal preference) but pizza is a nice "lighter version" to enjoy w some wine. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place has limited indoor seating and an outdoor seating area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I am really excited to try more of the menu!

What a Pasadena gem! We really loved this small business and found the pasta and pizza to be abundant and delicious!! I particularly loved the Pasta (though it wasn't spicy at all). Service was quick. We sat outside on a busy Friday night but got taken care of quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is nice; there is a small indoor seating area and a really lovely outdoor patio perfect for upcoming fall nights :)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We stopped in for a good meal. And a great meal we had! Chicken Parmigiana, Lasagna and Ravioli. We had soup and salad. The soup was hot and the salad was fresh and crisp. We even brought home a little for tomorrow. Our server was so helpful. There several menus due to Valentine Day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We dined outside and were do happy to have a heater.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outside dining was so nice. They have nice lighting and great music playing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]However I know they can't help it but flocks of birds kept flying over squawking. So glad they have a covering over the dining area so we didn't get pooped on.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    The pizza and free toy

The food here was really good I had the spicy jojo's pizza and it was one of the best pizza's I ever had. The service was so good and they were also kind enough to give my kids toys. Our waitress Cynthia was really kind and showed us all the dessert's and helped us what to order. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Ambiance was like I was in Italy and it had a dodger game on the 2 tv's outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We were a party of 4 looking for dinner before an Ice House show and were more than pleasantly surprised when we found this amazing spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is both inside and patio seating with a very home style atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the pasta carbonara which was comparable to pasta in Rome. It came with cheese toast, a very nice addition. Our party also had soup and a very large walnut salad that filled a very large plate. Our server was very attentive, informative and helpful.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Found this hidden gem in Pasadena, tucked away on a quiet street, it almost looked abandoned at first, lol.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was craving pasta, and this place did not disappoint. Honestly, I've never been big on pasta or Italian food, but after eating at Tardino, I was hooked. The food is immaculate, so good I ended up coming back every week. The owner/chef even hooked me up with some red and green onions, which added the perfect flavor. I'm officially addicted. If you're visiting LA (or even if you live here), you have to check this cute little restaurant out!

I couldn't help but notice though that a couple other parties (who were a couple parties of two, and seated after us) were served before us, and left before us. Obviously I know our food coming out later than usual had nothing to do with our server, but what I did notice was how our server never checked on us after our meals were served. Our server walked past our table several times (checking on multiple tables next to us and even re-setting tables next to us) and didn't even make eye contact to check on any non verbal cues. I finally had to call the server by name (after about 30 minutes had passed since all our meals were done) before getting a dessert menu and then again for the check. I ordered the cacio e pepe and added mushrooms and chicken to my order. As an appetizer, I ordered a half cesar salad which was pretty decent. I was not a fan of the hard crouton though! The cacio e pepe was pretty dry and the chicken was even drier. Adding mushrooms was a nice touch but sadly the dish could not be saved by how dried it was. Overall, it was okay but I would skip on adding chicken. My friends seemed pretty disappointed with their dishes. I think maybe 2/6 thought their dishes were okay while the rest did not enjoy what they ordered. For dessert, I was surprised with a slice of coconut cake since it was a friend and mines birthday. The cake was good and full of coconut flavored goodnessss. The tiramisu I ordered (before I knew of the coconut cake!) was also a very nice sweet treat. Overall, the vibes are nice, the service was super kind and the drinks were good. Dessert was fine but I'm not sure I would return for dessert. For food, we started with the bacon deviled eggs and shrimp taquitos. Those deviled eggs were lightly fried, which was different, then had apple wood smoked bacon on top, just a really tasty bite. The shrimp taquitos were also not what you would expect, nice and light but still very good. Entrees we went with the center cut fillet and the prime rib dip with swiss cheese on a brioche bun. That sandwich just melts if your mouth after dipping it in the jous, and the cheese was the perfect accompiament. The fillet was cooked perfect as well, coming out medium rare. Overall, great restaurant in Pasadena. Definitely get the Mai Tai, Devine eggs and prime rib dip. Taquitos were good and, if you're feeling like another hg er appetizer, definitely a way to go . The fillet, also great but I feel you can get it anywhere.

Ambiance is great, though a little loud. Service is good…read more All our entrees were very good BUT the artichokes were not good. We first thought they were undercooked. They were warm (not hot) and it was difficult to get any meat off of them. I rarely ask for something to be sent back but especially for the price point here, these were not OK. We let them know that they were undercooked. The chokes were gone for a while and when they came back they were slightly better so we just made due and realized that they just weren't very good artichokes. Also, though the heart was good, the flavor of the leaves was not great and the dipping sauce was nothing special. They were covered with diced onions for some reason. When it's $21 for three halves, it was very disappointing.

I got the diavola pizza. Neapolitan style is my favorite, and when it came out it was amazing. The tomato sauce had the perfect level of acidity, and the dough complemented it really well. They have a small lot plus some free and paid street parking nearby. Service was great. Definitely would come again.

Then saw a unique appetizer salad item on menu "Involtini" $16. It was a great appetizer consisting of arugula, and goat cheese wrapped in prosciutto, with an impressive large thin sliced piece of Parmesan on top drizzled with a balsamic reduction. Very unique and good, I look forward to replicating at home with a little more balsamic. I ordered the Settebello $21 pizza as a main entree of which I thought was advertised with pancetta, mushrooms and Italian sausage. Pizza came out hot and fresh, but with prosciutto instead of the perceived menu listed pancetta. Pizza sauce was good, the sausage and mushrooms were great. Crust was a little doughy, not crispy but charcoal charred in places. Not phenomenal but not bad, middle of the road overall. Service started off great but fell flat to the floor. Drinks and food came out on time indicating bar staff and kitchen staff were on point. Waiting staff could up their game. No check up or check in. No offers for drink refills or another round. I had to ask for refills on water. Final bill $56.35 for one drink, appetizer and pizza for a solo dinner. Three (3) stars at best! Room for improvements.
