First time at the spot. Recommended by a Pasadena native. It was friggin' fantastic! As a sandwich connoisseur (yes, I said it) this restaurant was head and shoulders above most sandwich shops. We arrived at the shop just after the lunch rush which was accidentally but perfectly timed. There is construction going on in the pass through hallway that the shop is connected to but still open. Parking wasn't a problem either. The small shop had bar, pub, and table seating. We were able to walk right up to the counter and order our sandwiches: two turkey supreme on squaw and a New Yorker. (Note: they also sell deli meat by the pound if you want to make your own at home sandwiches.). I love a sandwich shop that offers squaw or brown bread. It is my all-time favourite! The woman who helped said it would be about 15 minutes so we had a seat. They were done with our sandwiches in about 6 minutes. Once home I am happy to report that my sandwich had no condiments or sauces on it as I requested. Yes, I'm that person. I was stunned to see how thick the sandwich was but I am not complaining. We each devoured half of our sandwich and were stuffed. The turkey supreme was SO DARN GOOD! I can't remember the last time I had a sandwich that I couldn't stop thinking about but this one definitely fit the bill. Well done, PSC!

Friday Sammy Tour stop #7 My first visit to Pasadena Sandwich Company. I have heard high praises so I was pretty stoked. It is clearly very popular, be prepared to wait. There is a small attached parking lot behind the business but it is shared with 2 other businesses. Best bet would be to find street parking in the neighborhood. Phone and online ordering options are available with separate pick up windows for pre-orders. There is limited seating so best to order to go. I waited about 15 minutes in line before I got to the counter to place my order. I ordered: - The Philly. tons of meat, a little dry though. bread is soft and tasty. Huge portion. - Del Mar was a hit. the bread was soft and soaked up some of the sauce. Huge portion. Each sandwich was served with a pickle and slice of orange. The sandwiches were wrapped paper like little babies to handle with care. I am very interested in trying their soup and 1/2 sandwich combo for my next visit. You can add sides like potato salad, whole pickle, pickled eggs, and fresh "chumps" (muffin style bread).

Ask the staff to do their thing and this is the result- very pleased!

Absolutely amazing!! Doing some work in the area and decided to grab a bite at PSC- it's been years since I last been here... and they did NOT disappoint! I just told them to make me something good and left the rest in their hands and they made me this masterpiece (and with dip). I will not make a point to come back here even though I live an hour away- food was fantastic and the staff was just as great- thanks guys!!!

What can I say this is the only place to stop for a sandwich. Parking in back now paved. Always a great crew family owned not a chain. This is the one and only And I always trust the chef

Toasted Sheepherder sandwich. Yes... with two bites out of it. Just too irresistible not too take a couple bites.

I really love a good sandwich, so I was excited to try this place. The sandwiches looked like they were a good size, and nothing seemed crazy expensive (except for the $7 fries). The customer service was great and everyone was super nice. BUT, my pastrami sandwich was somewhere between room temp and lukewarm. And it's not like it was sitting there for awhile, I ordered online and it wasn't ready yet when I got there, so it should've been hot I would think. The French roll was a little on the hard side. The taste wasn't bad, better than a drive thru spot, but nowhere near a Langers or Johnnies. The worst part was, (TMI incoming), it gave me the trots . So overall it wasn't a great experience.

I've heard of this place for years and finally tried it this weekend! They close way too early but the sandwiches were great! I'll definitely will be coming back since it's so close to home. The Chicago sandwich was delicious. Definitely recommend trying this place.

Wow. Lived in the area forever and never really seen this place until I searched sandwich. The sandwich is huge!! Definitely a bang for your buck! I ordered a kids size sandwich and it looked like a regular size or a large. I ordered a half sandwich for my husband and it was humongous! Love that the deli meats aren't salty!

Knockwurst and Sauerkraut Sandwich and Reuben Sandwich
    Peter F.

Some of the best sandwiches I've ever tried, my rating is more like a 4.8 because of seating format, but I rounded up. Great portion sizes for a great price and the food doesn't sit bad in the belly when you eat too much. A lot of their sandwiches incorporate sauerkraut so if you're not a fan, just let them know not to include it. The fresh regular sauerkraut is better than the baked in my opinion. I had the knockwurst sandwich with sausages and the Reuben with corned beef. Must try their corned beef. Their servers are super helpful and quick if you go up to them for stuff like napkins, extra sides or to-go boxes, they'll pack it up for you nicely.

Plenty of selections. I had the turkey supreme, it was delicious. Excellent service, my order was ready relatively quick. Love the corridor seating.

I was driving through the area and wanted to stop for a sandwich for lunch. Pasadena Sandwich Company quickly came up on my search and is really conveniently located right off of the freeway. They have bathrooms and parking. We opted to sit outside, which was nice, though we only saw one table available for this. I checked in to get the free "Steve's Style," which is basically a free combo (side and a drink). The potato salad was pretty bland. Definitely lacking flavor. The turkey supreme sandwich was super delicious though. I added avocado. The service was excellent! I appreciate that they have diet Dr Pepper on their fountain machine.

This place takes sandwiches to another level! They def do not skimp out on the meats. I ordered trust the chef and it was piled so high I could barely take a bite of all the layers. I like how they give you pickles and a slice of orange on the side. Quite refreshing on a hot day. The sandwiches are pretty reasonably priced considering it lasted me 2 whole meals. Service was excellent. Everyone was so friendly and willing to help. I can see why they don't open the whole day. They were super busy the whole time I dined in. Worth a try if you're in the area.

Normally when we get Italian Deli Co, we're having people over and buy 5 sandwiches to go. Today,…read morewe were planning to eat in for dinner, but my partner wasn't feeling well. We still wanted Italian, so I offered to go and pick it up. The online menu is sandwiches and piadina only, so I called first to make sure we could get restaurant meals to go. They said yes. I ordered eggplant parmigiana for him and Sauté di Cozze e Vongole for me, as well as a cannoli and a salted caramel dolce freddo to sip while waiting. The drink was delicious and the server, Brooke, was super friendly and helpful (A+, 100%, no notes). I'd had a long week and admittedly was flying on autopilot by then. I paid my tab, got my bag and went to the car. Now I am pretty extra about transporting food safely and without spills, so I put the bag on the front passenger seat and belted it in so it wouldn't tip over. So far, so good. I drove home relishing the delicious garlic smells wafting through the car. I got out and this is where things started going haywire. I walked in the front door and realized the cream sauce on the mussels had just dripped out of the box (not sure why liquid was packaged this way and I will definitely be on alert for this in future!) right through the bag, up the stairs, across the door mat, and all over my shoes (and the flip flops I had been about to put on). Ugh. I have cats who definitely should not be eating garlic, so my husband and I cleaned up the mess after taking photos. I also noticed I had left behind the cannoli And was resigned to calling the restaurant and asking for a refund for the cannoli, at the very least. When I got to the kitchen, I found that basically ALL the sauce had leaked right out of the box (did they not have a deli cup? It's literally a deli). I tried calling twice, but no one picked up. I figured they were busy, as it's the day before a holiday, though it was still pretty early, only about 5 pm. Between the lack of sauce in my dish, the left-behind cannoli, and the mess (thank goodness 90% of the sauce didn't end up in the car upholstery) I decided to just drive back and see what they could do. I am sorry I didn't get their names, but the servers (managers? owners? Apologies, I was SO frazzled. One of them was wearing a green shirt) at the front of house listened to my account, looked at my photos, offered to remake the dish for me, and let me sit at the bar while I waited. I also got my cannoli (perfect). I was offered water or a glass of wine (I declined, I forgot the rest of the dolce freddo at home and was looking forward to finishing it. When my meal arrived, the person in the green shirt told me to be more careful this time and when I expressed trepidation, offered to plastic wrap the box (it was still in a box! Weird but ok) which they did with that good industrial plastic wrap This did the trick by the way. So thank you to the staff at Italian Deli Co. for making it right. I had been looking forward to this meal all week, and though due to the circumstances, I will have to do some reheating at this point, I am really looking forward to our next visit. 1) if I have to order to go I will try not to order liquidy/saucy things 2) if I do order liquidy/saucy things I will ask for the plastic wrap treatment 3) aside from not having the appropriate to go containers for sauce, everything else about this place so far has been excellent, particularly the people and the food. I will be continuing to spent our hard-earned money supporting this local business.

The ambiance is beautiful, clean, and welcoming, with both indoor and outdoor seating that creates a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The mellow Italian music in the background added to the authentic dining experience. The food was exceptional. We ordered the Tagliatelle Polpette, Pollo e Prosciutto, Burrata e Prosciutto, and Salsiccia e Peperonata, and every dish was delicious and expertly prepared. The quality and freshness of the ingredients really stood out. From the fresh arugula and Parmesan cheese to the prosciutto and wine selection, everything tasted high-quality and carefully sourced. The service was friendly, attentive, and fast. A special touch was Chef Lalo coming out to greet us personally, which made the experience even more memorable. The portions were very generous and offered excellent value for the price. We ended up taking food home because there was so much, and every bite was worth it. As for the noise level, there were a few families with children, but everyone was respectful, and the overall atmosphere remained calm and relaxing. Hubby got the Classic Aussie sandwich and the bread pudding, while my son and I got the Beef Pho meat pies and Popcorn Pork meat pie rolls. The beef pho meat pie definitely had the pho flavors and aromatics. This was absolutely delicious! The Popcorn Pork was good, not as aromatic as the pho pie. The flavor was lacking on the Taiwanese popcorn chicken basil flavor that it claimed. It reminded me more of a Vietnamese meat pie (pate chaud), which is peppery with a smoother texture that this one did not have, but it was still flavorful. The bread pudding was good but the texture was more dense reminding me of a banana bread loaf. I didn't care for the dollop of yogurt on top, which took away from the flavor of the bread pudding itself. Hubby said the Classic Aussie was good but was expensive for the size of the sandwich (small burger size). Hubby got the Long Black coffee which was good, but sadly my iced matcha latte was lacking in the matcha flavor. It was very pale in color and tasted mostly of milk. Service was quick and friendly. Its soft and crispy. They give yoy bbq sauce and mustard on the side but the sandwich doesnt even need that. There was plenty of seats, at least when we went. You can get your own water at the side near the tables. Parking in the back is a hit or miss. It could be really busy or semi busy where you could find a spot if youre lucky.

It consisted of lettuce, avocado, corn, black beans, jicama, tomatoes, onion, quinoa, krispies, kale, cilantro, and cotija. The lettuce wasn't too fresh and there were some that were yellow green but not a big deal. It was packed with flavor even without the chipotle vinaigrette (relieved I got it on the side because I wasn't s big fan). The avocado was very fresh and plentiful. I added chicken for extra $4.74 and it was very tender! Overall, I enjoyed the salad but a bit pricey so it was a good one time experience! The Chicken Pesto Caprese ($14.10) was pretty good. It consisted of chicken, mozzarella, red peppers, pesto, and mixed greens. The greens were very fresh and the sandwich was packed with flavor. The chicken was a little dry but not a big deal. There was a lot of red pepper and it was a bit overwhelming so I wished there wasn't so much. Really enjoyed the pesto since it it wasn't too salty and was the cherry on top to the sandwich! I also really liked that the bread was soft and fresh. Got the "Not so Fried" Chicken Sandwich ($13.68) - 1/2 portion and it came with a side (paid extra $1.26) for tomato basil soup. It consisted of chicken, krispies, mustard pickle slaw, tomatoes, onions, and herb aioli. The bread was very fresh and soft. I'm glad I got this in half portion because I thought this was just ok and nothing special. The tomato basil soup was very oily and salty so wasn't too enjoyable. The Pomegranate Mint Lemonade ($5.10) was sooo sweet. It was refreshing but the mint was a little too overpowering. Definitely recommend adding ice and/or water otherwise it's way too sweet! Overall, the sandwich and salads were a bit pricey but definitely one of the better spots for sandwiches and salads in terms of quality and quantity!

You order at the counter and then grab a seat. Everything was made fresh, and since we were the only customers, we got our food in about 10 minutes. Now for the food, I had these items: Mix Sandwich - I've never had a döner before, but it was really good. It kind of reminded me of a calzone or a double-sided pizza slice sandwich. The meat was fresh, loaded up with veggies, and nicely sauced. I really enjoyed it, and it was quite tasty. (4.5/5) Bratwurst - The sausage was delicious, and the bread was unique. Can't go wrong with this one. (4.5/5) I don't eat German food too often, but this was a nice, tasty, and quick spot. The prices were decent for what you get. It also wasn't too greasy or heavy, so if I'm in Pasadena and craving German food, I'd definitely come back. Parking - It's in a small lot with only a few parking spaces, but I had no trouble finding a spot.

The shop is pretty small, able to fit around a dozen people or so. Most take their items to go, but it's a perfectly fine and clean establishment to sit and enjoy your food while watching the chef assemble it inside their open kitchen. Ordered the following: - Mixed sandwich - 7.5/10: Big wrap that comes with chicken and beef shaved off from a couple of spits. Lots of fresh, crisp veggies stuffed inside a firm, crispy wrap that holds everything together pretty well. Taste was good, but I thought the meats could've been a little more seasoned. Otherwise, a hearty, filling sandwich. Fries - 6.4/10: Crinkle-cut style. Seasoned well. Just OK. Pricing is fair. Would recommend as a good time was had by all.

I've gotten at least a dozen sandwiches (and likely more) from Ike's over the years, and it was always my favorite local sandwich shop after they finally opened a location in the northeast side of LA. But I must say, as of late, their quality is really not the same as the past. I recently ordered a sandwich that came with mushrooms and it was barely cooked and mostly raw. Having raw mushrooms in a sandwich is really not it, and considering each sandwich here is about $16+ post tax and tip (yes I did tip), I think we can expect a little better quality, or at the very least, not having basically raw mushrooms in a sandwich. While they do have many sandwiches to choose from on such a vast menu, and everything is customizable (just with additional charges), it does feel like they'd do better if they nail down some of the details like making sure their cooked ingredients are actually cooked. All that said, the store is kept clean, there's some dine in tables as well as outdoor seating. The music indoors is kept loud, and the decor is very colorful and bold. Service feels like what you'd expect from employing recent high school or college students at their first jobs, but it's always been polite. Pictured: one of the many sandwiches I've consumed over the years from Ike's. This one attached happened to be from 2023.
