We ordered to go as we had a date with some "Kevin's" (points if you know the movie reference). 5/5 S's The Signage such as the Good Morning sign will leave you with a Smile. Aside from the sign the Service will also give you Satisfaction. Everyone was very friendly and the order came out quickly. 5/5 Trust the Cook (TTC)! Not sure what to get, Trust the cook will be your jam! With so many options it's hard to choose at times. This sandwich is sure to increase your trust. Didn't know what to expect but it was so good! So good that my wife traded me sandwiches after one bite. (That's love to will the others good even in a sandwich). The veggie supreme was a good combo with the TTC. First time at the spot. Recommended by a Pasadena native. It was friggin' fantastic! As a sandwich connoisseur (yes, I said it) this restaurant was head and shoulders above most sandwich shops. We arrived at the shop just after the lunch rush which was accidentally but perfectly timed. There is construction going on in the pass through hallway that the shop is connected to but still open. Parking wasn't a problem either. The small shop had bar, pub, and table seating. We were able to walk right up to the counter and order our sandwiches: two turkey supreme on squaw and a New Yorker. (Note: they also sell deli meat by the pound if you want to make your own at home sandwiches.). I love a sandwich shop that offers squaw or brown bread. It is my all-time favourite! The woman who helped said it would be about 15 minutes so we had a seat. They were done with our sandwiches in about 6 minutes. Once home I am happy to report that my sandwich had no condiments or sauces on it as I requested. Yes, I'm that person. I was stunned to see how thick the sandwich was but I am not complaining. We each devoured half of our sandwich and were stuffed. The turkey supreme was SO DARN GOOD! Friday Sammy Tour stop #7 My first visit to Pasadena Sandwich Company. I have heard high praises so I was pretty stoked. It is clearly very popular, be prepared to wait. There is a small attached parking lot behind the business but it is shared with 2 other businesses. Best bet would be to find street parking in the neighborhood. Phone and online ordering options are available with separate pick up windows for pre-orders. There is limited seating so best to order to go. I waited about 15 minutes in line before I got to the counter to place my order. I ordered: - The Philly. tons of meat, a little dry though. bread is soft and tasty. Huge portion. - Del Mar was a hit. the bread was soft and soaked up some of the sauce. Huge portion. Each sandwich was served with a pickle and slice of orange. I really love a good sandwich, so I was excited to try this place. The sandwiches looked like they were a good size, and nothing seemed crazy expensive (except for the $7 fries). The customer service was great and everyone was super nice. BUT, my pastrami sandwich was somewhere between room temp and lukewarm. And it's not like it was sitting there for awhile, I ordered online and it wasn't ready yet when I got there, so it should've been hot I would think. The French roll was a little on the hard side. The taste wasn't bad, better than a drive thru spot, but nowhere near a Langers or Johnnies. The worst part was, (TMI incoming), it gave me the trots . Great portion sizes for a great price and the food doesn't sit bad in the belly when you eat too much. A lot of their sandwiches incorporate sauerkraut so if you're not a fan, just let them know not to include it. The fresh regular sauerkraut is better than the baked in my opinion. They have bathrooms and parking. We opted to sit outside, which was nice, though we only saw one table available for this. I checked in to get the free "Steve's Style," which is basically a free combo (side and a drink). The potato salad was pretty bland. Definitely lacking flavor. The mayonnaise is a must have in this sandwich, otherwise it would be too dry. I also designed another sandwich with roast beef, jack cheese, mayo, russian dressing, pickles, lettuce, and tomato on an onion roll. I preferred the onion roll over the french roll. I wish they had put more of the dressing in the sandwich because I was barely able to taste it. The sweet potato tots are just ok. Last Saturday, I was out and about around lunch time (for once. LOL) and was in the area, so finally go to try PSC. First for a couple of logistics, there is a small lot behind the building, but I can see it being super busy during peak time. There is plenty of street parking around. There is also bar seats inside and a few tables outside if you want to enjoy your sandwich fresh. After looking through the menu, I decided on the Rueben and PSC Sub to share. I decided I wanted to try the sandwich fresh, so grabbed a table outside. Sandwiches came out pretty quickly. The Rueben was probably the highlight for me. The beef was tender and tasty and had a big amount of meat. The PSC Sub (which is an Italian) was OK, but nothing that I thought was special. If you are in the area for a quick bite, I would definitely come to PSC. Next time, I definitely want to try some other sandwiches. Also, for next time, they sell some picked items (pickles, etc), I am definitely going to buy some. The Rueben was a little salty, so more pickles would have been great. read more

The store faces the street on a corner so you have to drive into the neighborhood to find the correct parking lot entrance. The price point is higher, around $15 for a sandwich but they're quite substantial usually three slices of bread and generous portions of meat and fixins. I feel the volume is enough for two people at lunch. You can order preset sandwich concoctions, "Trust the Cook," or make your own with up to three meats and two cheeses. We got the Trust the Cook and Chicago style. I wanted a Reuben but the Chicago style seemed intriguing with both corned beef and pastrami with Russian dressing on rye. Come here when you are hungry, they have the biggest sandwiches I've ever had - totally stacked! I recommend the half sandwich and cup of soup combo. I got "trust the cook" which is always a fun combination. If you get a whole "trust the cook", you'll often get two different sandwich halves, perfect for variety! The halves are a double decker sandwich themselves, loaded with basically everything - I identified ham, salami, roast beef, pastrami, bacon, turkey, cheese, peppers, onions, lettuce, and tomatoes all in one sandwich! I only finished half of my half since it was so filling! For soup, they always have chili, and two others that swap out. Today's was clam chowder and baked beans, tho I went with the trusted chili. Their chili cheese fries are pretty tasty too! With a the check-in on Yelp, I also got free coleslaw! (Macaroni salad, and potato salad were other options), + a drink (I just got soda water but they have standard soft drink options.) I found that the slaw wasn't sweet, and was fairly mayo heavy for my personal preference, I think it works better within a sandwich than standalone. I prefer the macaroni salad. They have quite a variety of chips and pickles, I got some jalepeno Miss Vickies chips to accompany my meal. Next time I'll add the sweet potato tots too - my friend got them and they were sweet and almost caramelized! Not sure if I'd had sweet potato in that tater tot formfactor before, but loved it! To be fair here, my review is based on the sandwich alone. I got it delivered so I'm not going to comment about the service or ambiance. But as for the sandwich, a Reuben, it was damn good!! The corned beef was stacked tall and was moist and seasoned perfectly. The magical fusion of sauerkraut, Russian dressing, rye bread, Swiss cheese, and corned beef is at its best at PSC. A bit salty, which is personal preference. I noticed the extra dollar I spent in requesting melted cheese came to a moot point since there was no cheese in the sandwich to begin with. The orange slice and dill pickle was a nice touch. I have the emphasize the bread was a nice change from the usual harder types of buns. The shredded lettuce is a perk salt favorite for me.
