So for my last night with My Dad before headed home we decided to give this place a try. It's a walk up window order and pick up inside if staying or can get to go outside window as well. 50's diner style. Me and my dad got #12 Turkey Grinder combo and a #14 Roast beef dip combo comes with fries and a drink. Service was good and attentive, Very friendly. My Turkey was good I really enjoyed. Bread was really fresh to me. My dad's he enjoyed I tried it and was very tender meat. Fries were fresh and salted just right and being crispy. We both enjoyed very much . I will be back soon to try more stuff when down to visit . Enjoy !!!!

Sandwiches by Connal (Pasadena) is a great little mom-and-pop spot that delivers exactly what you want--fresh, made-to-order food and generous portions. I tried the roast beef grinder and the steak sandwich, and both were filling, flavorful, and hit the spot. You can tell everything is made fresh, and they don't skimp on portions. They also have a surprisingly broad menu, offering not just sandwiches but Mexican food like burritos, along with burgers, so there's something for everyone. Service was super friendly at the counter, which always makes a difference at spots like this. It's definitely more of a grab-and-go place--there's a very small patio area, but most people take their food to go. You can also call in your order, which is really convenient.

Est. 1958- I like the casual vibe here. I like the 50's style dining room, the vintage sign out front, and the food. They do more than just sandwiches here. Connal has a menu larger than expected, but I was here for the sandwiches and that's what I got (a burger is a sandwich). I ordered the Chili-cheese Burger, with pickles, mustard and tomato (no lettuce, onions or catchup). The chili was just about perfect for a burger - right up there with Tommy's and Carney's. It was a solid burger. Also good is the Combo Grinder (Ham, Turkey, Salami, Provolone). A little less lettuce (I should have asked) and it would be perfect. Both the burger and sandwich were great. The prices are very reasonable. Only $6 for the burger and $10 for the sandwich. The service was friendly and helpful and the lady at the order window was very kind. Definitely worth a visit.

Spontaneously stopped by since I was nearby, and I'm glad I did. There's a spacious parking lot, which is always a plus. You order outside and can dine in once your food is ready. It's a small diner with a nostalgic retro vibe, and the smell coming from the kitchen alone had me sold. I ordered a hamburger. It was super flavorful, juicy, and delicious in every bite. I'd definitely come back.

I have to say I've been going to Connell's for many years and it's been pretty darn good every time. However, today I ordered a pastrami grinder and got basically a lettuce sandwich. I think there was only two slices of pastrami. The rest was lettuce, and the other side of the picture is a tomato. 20 bucks for a pastrami grinder combo. Connal's, you can do better!

I had the classic double and it's exactly that- a really good classic double cheese burger. I got the combo and it came out to $10.82! What an amazing value for a lot fries a big drink. I'm a fan!

I can't believe I forgot to share this spot. Great spot for breakfast burritos and burgers. Has daily specials. Get both red and green salsa to put on your burger or burrito and dip your fries in it. The sandwiches are also really good but I prefer their burrito or burger.

I have been a Pasadena resident for over 36 years, & today I brought my football team here to eat after practice & spent over 200$, the food was good but the service was TERRIBLE!!!! They treated my kids terribly!!! Charged for refills & the first one is supposed to be free, I have spent thousands of dollars @ this establishment over the years & the way I was treated today? I will make sure to hold them accountable every time I stop by, if you are a African American ?!?!? Make sure they treat you fair !!! Or go spend your hard earned money somewhere else !!!!

Happened to be in the area and wanted some sandwhiches and asada fries on our way home. Saw some nice reviews on this place and I definitely agree. This place had a constant line of customers when we were waiting for our food. It's the old school take out type place. Don't expect anything fancy, but they do it right here Parking was easy. Ordered through a street side window. Looked like the dining room was closed but it didn't matter to us. Staff is very friendly and seemed very accommodating to peoples orders. When we were in line, a customer nicely recommended the #1 and all of the grinders to us since I guess they could tell we first timers here It was a good recommendation since we opted for and really enjoyed the pastrami grinder. Surprised with how much lettuce was in it, gave it a nice crunch. I love the bread We also got the cheesesteak. Both sandwiches has plenty of meat, not too salty. The zings were delicious. Always worried with fried stuff they'd be overly greasy and salty. Not the case here. Zucchini was soft on the inside, crispy and not salty at all. Onions was deliciously sweet. Asada fries were delicious as well. Asada was tender, plenty of guac and I enjoyed the jalapeños in it. Good portion to share. The fries were fried perfectly crispy but you definitely need to eat this right away We're not in the area often as it's a bit far north for us, but if we are, I will be back

A classic. Iconic. Can never go wrong with ordering Connal's! The fries are heavenly and can make a meal of that on its own

Solid fast food joint that has a huge selection of different options. They have breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, plates, Mexican food, and more. The double cheeseburger was hefty and a nice balance. The pastrami grinder was also well made and very tasty. The fries were a bit too crispy for me but still complemented the burgers nicely. You order outside at a counter but they have a decent seating area. Staff are very friendly as well.

Normally when we get Italian Deli Co, we're having people over and buy 5 sandwiches to go. Today,…read morewe were planning to eat in for dinner, but my partner wasn't feeling well. We still wanted Italian, so I offered to go and pick it up. The online menu is sandwiches and piadina only, so I called first to make sure we could get restaurant meals to go. They said yes. I ordered eggplant parmigiana for him and Sauté di Cozze e Vongole for me, as well as a cannoli and a salted caramel dolce freddo to sip while waiting. The drink was delicious and the server, Brooke, was super friendly and helpful (A+, 100%, no notes). I'd had a long week and admittedly was flying on autopilot by then. I paid my tab, got my bag and went to the car. Now I am pretty extra about transporting food safely and without spills, so I put the bag on the front passenger seat and belted it in so it wouldn't tip over. So far, so good. I drove home relishing the delicious garlic smells wafting through the car. I got out and this is where things started going haywire. I walked in the front door and realized the cream sauce on the mussels had just dripped out of the box (not sure why liquid was packaged this way and I will definitely be on alert for this in future!) right through the bag, up the stairs, across the door mat, and all over my shoes (and the flip flops I had been about to put on). Ugh. I have cats who definitely should not be eating garlic, so my husband and I cleaned up the mess after taking photos. I also noticed I had left behind the cannoli And was resigned to calling the restaurant and asking for a refund for the cannoli, at the very least. When I got to the kitchen, I found that basically ALL the sauce had leaked right out of the box (did they not have a deli cup? It's literally a deli). I tried calling twice, but no one picked up. I figured they were busy, as it's the day before a holiday, though it was still pretty early, only about 5 pm. Between the lack of sauce in my dish, the left-behind cannoli, and the mess (thank goodness 90% of the sauce didn't end up in the car upholstery) I decided to just drive back and see what they could do. I am sorry I didn't get their names, but the servers (managers? owners? Apologies, I was SO frazzled. One of them was wearing a green shirt) at the front of house listened to my account, looked at my photos, offered to remake the dish for me, and let me sit at the bar while I waited. I also got my cannoli (perfect). I was offered water or a glass of wine (I declined, I forgot the rest of the dolce freddo at home and was looking forward to finishing it. When my meal arrived, the person in the green shirt told me to be more careful this time and when I expressed trepidation, offered to plastic wrap the box (it was still in a box! Weird but ok) which they did with that good industrial plastic wrap This did the trick by the way. So thank you to the staff at Italian Deli Co. for making it right. I had been looking forward to this meal all week, and though due to the circumstances, I will have to do some reheating at this point, I am really looking forward to our next visit. 1) if I have to order to go I will try not to order liquidy/saucy things 2) if I do order liquidy/saucy things I will ask for the plastic wrap treatment 3) aside from not having the appropriate to go containers for sauce, everything else about this place so far has been excellent, particularly the people and the food. I will be continuing to spent our hard-earned money supporting this local business.

The Mussels and Clams was one of their featured entries, we ordered it with the white lobster sauce, which was lick your plate good. Did not realize it does not come with pasta, but took leftovers home to make our own pasta :) The Pisa was more like a flatbread, interesting, cheesy could use more toppings. I've been married to an Italian woman for years and have eaten sandwiches from Little Italy's all over the states to many in Italy as well, so I was definitely interested to order some sandwiches and giving this place a go. This small shop doesn't have much seating, but it does have a counter to sit at as well as a small section of pasta, sauces, drinks, and various other things for you to purchase when you walk in. The menu here isn't massie, but you don't really need it to be at an Italian sandwich shop so who cares? I ended up ordering the Chicken Confit which description is "Our newest sandwich! Dark meat chicken sourced from Cream Co. Meats, confited in olive oil, then tossed it with an orange-Calabrian chili agrodolce spiked with fennel seed and garlic that's bright, deeply savory, a touch spicy, and a little addictive. It all comes together with spicy arugula and tangy pecorino Toscano on a Bub & Grandma's baguette.". The sandwich was about $15 and I gotta say, it's not very big and it didn't really do the job of filling me up and neither did my wife's. The flavour wasn't bad at all, it was solid enough and I don't have any complaints other then It was simply kind of small for the price. Overall, Ferrazzani's Pasta & Market is fine. I didn't leave blown away by anything, and in fact I was left still kind of wanting to eat. The sandwich was fine, but I don't think the amount of food matches the price and I can't really see myself driving back to Pasadena to give this place another go, but hey, this may be the perfect shop for somebody.

It was packed with flavor even without the chipotle vinaigrette (relieved I got it on the side because I wasn't s big fan). The avocado was very fresh and plentiful. I added chicken for extra $4.74 and it was very tender! Overall, I enjoyed the salad but a bit pricey so it was a good one time experience! The Chicken Pesto Caprese ($14.10) was pretty good. It consisted of chicken, mozzarella, red peppers, pesto, and mixed greens. The greens were very fresh and the sandwich was packed with flavor. The chicken was a little dry but not a big deal. I also really liked that the bread was soft and fresh. Got the "Not so Fried" Chicken Sandwich ($13.68) - 1/2 portion and it came with a side (paid extra $1.26) for tomato basil soup. It consisted of chicken, krispies, mustard pickle slaw, tomatoes, onions, and herb aioli. The bread was very fresh and soft. I'm glad I got this in half portion because I thought this was just ok and nothing special. The tomato basil soup was very oily and salty so wasn't too enjoyable. The Pomegranate Mint Lemonade ($5.10) was sooo sweet. It was refreshing but the mint was a little too overpowering. Definitely recommend adding ice and/or water otherwise it's way too sweet! Overall, the sandwich and salads were a bit pricey but definitely one of the better spots for sandwiches and salads in terms of quality and quantity!

3/5, many vegan and vegetarian options:…read more My first Ike's sandwich was from their West LA location in 2019, and the fact that I remember the year is evidence enough that I am a sandwich fiend. I've gotten at least a dozen sandwiches (and likely more) from Ike's over the years, and it was always my favorite local sandwich shop after they finally opened a location in the northeast side of LA. But I must say, as of late, their quality is really not the same as the past. I recently ordered a sandwich that came with mushrooms and it was barely cooked and mostly raw. Having raw mushrooms in a sandwich is really not it, and considering each sandwich here is about $16+ post tax and tip (yes I did tip), I think we can expect a little better quality, or at the very least, not having basically raw mushrooms in a sandwich. While they do have many sandwiches to choose from on such a vast menu, and everything is customizable (just with additional charges), it does feel like they'd do better if they nail down some of the details like making sure their cooked ingredients are actually cooked. All that said, the store is kept clean, there's some dine in tables as well as outdoor seating. The music indoors is kept loud, and the decor is very colorful and bold. Service feels like what you'd expect from employing recent high school or college students at their first jobs, but it's always been polite. Pictured: one of the many sandwiches I've consumed over the years from Ike's. This one attached happened to be from 2023.

Such a gem of a place in Pasadena if you're in the mood for Peruvian food or just good food in…read moregeneral. Situated in the corner of California and Lake, parking can be quite difficult especially at lunch or dinner hours. Plan accordingly because it can get quite busy around prime dining hours. They specialize in pollo la brasa, Peruvian roast chicken and it's truly delicious. You have the choice of 1/4, 1/2 and whole chicken meals which comes with 2 sides. There are also family meals for larger parties as well. Indoor seating is on the smaller side so it does get filled fast. Inside they also sell Peruvian snacks and drinks, has a small market type of feel. Plenty of outdoor seating as well. Chicken is super flavorful, juicy and delicious. Do get extra sauces because it is delicious. I like the yellow more than the green. Green has a good spice as well. Plantains, sweet potato fries are my favorite sides so far. Can't want to come back to try some more of the menu.

This location was difficult to find because there isn't a noticeable sign out front. My GPS told me I arrived, but I thought it was wrong. It is adjacent to a gas station. and just not somewhere I would notice easily. The inside is nice and clean and had quite a few customers. It is also a deli and market. The beverages as well as all kinds of cooked and packaged snack snacks are scattered throughout the room. This business has high reviews on Yelp, which is why we chose it. I ordered one of the most basic roast chicken dishes. The chicken was definitely tender and appeared very high-quality as it was not huge pieces. But my chicken was pink in some areas - not cooked enough for my comfort level. The skin was soft. I'm not sure if that is a cultural difference, but I have not had roast chicken without crispy skin even at other Peruvian establishments. The seasoning, however, was very good and the sauces were also delicious. I got the cucumber tomato salad on the side, which tasted fantastic with the green sauce added in. The garlic fries were also on the limp side for me. I don't know again if that is a cultural difference . I felt like it needed a second fry. I did enjoy the garlic and herb sprinkled on the fries and took them home to air fry them to make them crispier. I am not sure if it was an off day for us. My friend had similar feedback on her dish. We both ordered the same thing except she ordered the white meat and I ordered the dark meat. Like I said, I'm definitely in the minority of not liking it that much. I have some favorites in the area for grilled chicken and would probably opt for those.
