My wife and I were looking for a pre-owned Lexus IS250 for almost four months when I noticed an advertisement that caught my eye. A low mielage car with light interior; exactly what we were looking for in a used car. When I called the number, Jeff answered the phone and preceeded to tell me that the car was almost flawless since he had personally taken care of the car at his shop, Target Auto Repair. We spoke several times and told him that when I traveled to South Florida that I wanted to see the car. I specifically drove down to see the car from Tampa. Since I already had seen several cars over the last four months, I instantly new that we wanted to buy the car. Given Jeff's honesty, integrity, and professionlism, I decided to have Jeff and his shop do some customization on the car. Jeff was very patient and worked with me given my very busy work schedule, and the fact that I live in Tampa. Jeff was also nice of enough to have his crew pick me up at the airport when I flew down to pick up the car. Besides doing everything I asked on the car, Jeff also did various extra items that I did not expect, such as installing a new battery, doing an oil change, and changing out a headlight. He also fixed the bumper. We have gotten so many compliments on the car. No one can believe that the car is six years old. It looks like a new Lexus. If you are looking for an old school business man; the kind of person that gives you his word and then shakes your hand, then Jeff and Target Auto Repair is your place. No need to worry, they use quality parts and stand by their service not like many of the other shops in South Florida. They are one of a kind. So if you were like me, you were probably getting pretty fed up with your previous mechanic. Or maybe your car just started to make some weird sound, or began acting strangely enough to cause you to search through the endless mechanic shop listings that are up here on Yelp. As some random person you will probably never meet, let me just say that I can not recommend this auto shop highly enough. I had finally reached my limit with my previous mechanic who side-stepped or at times flat-out denied certain issues existing. Needless to say, after visiting Jeff at Target Auto Repair, they figured out exactly what was wrong. It turns out the previous mechanic was simply covering up that they'd broken something and they just didn't want to accept fault for it, or even fix it (or perhaps they were too inept to figure out what was wrong). All i know is that starting my car and not hearing it screech every so often brings me a measure of peace that I can not possibly fully describe without seeming like a crazy person. It just does. Back home I had a mechanic shop that I went to for 19years and know living in Florida I am happy to say that I found a place as good as I had back home!!! Jeff the owner, Karen the receptionist and his employees all were just a pleasure right from the moment I drove into their shop, The level of respect, openness and concern that I was aware of everything that was wrong with my vehicle was 100%!! I was sold a terrible used-car by a nearby dealer. Originally, I came to Jeff simply to find out why my car wouldn't start without a jump. It turns out that there were multiple issues with the vehicle. Jeff was very helpful in explaining all of the issues, which included a busted alternator, bad battery, broken a/c unit, and two broken axles! You could imagine my shock. I thought I would have to write this vehicle off. Not only did Jeff fix all of these issues, but he carefully showed me everything that he was doing, while explaining why he was doing it. So not only do I now have a good working vehicle, I have also learned a lot about cars and what issues to look out for in the future. And the best part? Everything was extremely affordable. Jeff and his team - Great Job - Thank You! My car was vandalized and air bag and my nav system/stereo where stolen and created havoc on the internal electrical system! The car was delivered to their garage late in the day prior to the holiday weekend and was able to turn the car around all repaired and ready for me in about a week! Jeff patiently communicated throughout the process telling me status and explaining the entire insurance process. taking a car in for a misfire, they ran to diagnostics. their credit card machines were down so they made a copy of my credit card and driver's license. When they tried to run it and my card declined for whatever reason. I had to explain to them I drive professionally over the road. When they tried to call me I was on i-75 north and had very sporadic reception at best. I had contacted my bank to find out what the issue was with the decline and was waiting on them to get back to me when I got a message from the owner Jeff stating that he was going to turn the account over for fraud to the state attorney's office. Stay away from the shade tree mechanic. ended up leaving my car with the fleet mechanic that we use for our trucks and the diagnosis I had received from this mechanic was completely off. wow i am so happy i chose target . i had a big problem ,power steering was gone . i liked Jeff right off and Yamileth was very helpful .jeff and i sat and swapped stories and had a few laughs, my kind of guy. then he showed me the problem it was my rack and pinion it was gone and leaking, i knew it was going from the noise going over bumps, i thought it was my power steering pump truthfully .anyway he did a great job its an old 99 taurus but feels like new ,so quiet and smooth again ,great job jeff your my new car guy. i liked jeff ,i like the price and i liked the job he did. i have a couple of minor problem which i will return to target auto and have them fixed, i feel i can trust this auto repair, again jeff great job and im loving driving my car again .thanks buddy read more

Great auto repair shop. I have a Honda Civic which I took to the dealer, told them I was hearing a noise every time I drove, one of the mechanics drove the car and came back and said he heard nothing...was probably dirt in the tires. They have no respect for older adults...most of us have some sense or we wouldn't have lived this long! Anyways I called Target Auto and they said bring the car over and they drove me home. Because the "big" auto dealer did not check the "unheard" noise I ended up replacing the struts and rack and pinion. Target Auto Repair performed a 4 wheel alignment on my car on 4/3/2019. I made an appointment with Jeff the previous day, and they promptly started the work as soon as I showed up for my appointment. They used a laser measuring system to show alignment, and Jeff explained the readings on the machine before the actual alignment and gave me a printout of the alignment as part of the invoice. As always, Jeff & his staff run an outstanding business and are true professionals that I completely trust. I went to three different places to have my air condition in my 2003 Murano looked at. two of the place could not tell me exactly what was wrong. They lack the equipment to detect any leaks in the system. At Target Auto Repair, Jeff and his staff, found the leaks replace the parts in less then one day. Excellent! I was dismayed to hear my car needed extensive repair. But Jeff was so professional and patiently explained what happened and my options. He put my car up on the lift so I could see it from different angles and photograph the antifreeze leak from the engine. He went over every possibility, including replacing the engine or scrapping the car. I told him to go ahead with option 1. and the repair ended up being $500 less than he quoted me, and it was ready early!
