This was my…read morefirst time here, I came because I saw the great reviews on Yelp and I was looking for an honest mechanic due to being scammed a few times with this car already. My check engine light was on and I knew of a previous oil leak that I was told wasn't major but I should get it looked at. The check engine light was an easy tune-up and the leak turned out to be major coming from the valve cover... all good and done. We also replaced all 4 tires with alignment. When they went to call me in to pickup, the mechanic found that there was a separate oil leak from a different area and it would be a simple fix replacing a small hose. Turns out the hose has a manufacturing defect and wouldn't fit correctly, they had to keep my car an extra 4 days and try 3 different hoses in total to get this leak to stop. This was such a blow because I use my car for work. Nobody had the part and the ones that did offered the defective one. The part was in back order with the dealership. This was a tricky spot, I believe Sam's found an aftermarket hose that did the job...but it took a lot of effort, putting on 3 different hoses and running around calling everyone in town. They could've easily given my car back in the beginning saying "not our problem" or ignored it, or when they ran into all that trouble and the issue looked "unfixable" they could've just told me to pick the car up and tell me they can't help me. But they were the ones to keep trying everything, without my prompting, and ultimately they fixed the car. They didn't even charge me extra, in fact they worked all this into what I was already getting done. I ended up paying close to my original quote maybe even less. All in all, I'm happy that this happened at Sam's, they handled it like pros, they were honest and fair and transparent the whole way. Larry at the front was my contact the whole time and that guy is a legend, he really cares about people and it shows. He really felt bad that this made me lose out on 4 days of work, I could tell it bothered him. What more could you ask for a business that cares about you. My car is running great, all symptoms and problems seem to be resolved! I would most definitely come back, they have me as a loyal customer, I would recommend anybody I knew to them.

I told Kirk already, I refilled the a/c twice with freon and dye. he, kirk, charged $275 just to check it out, seems high. he told me 2 seals has to be changed and a/c will work again. compressor and other parts fine. then he charged me total $550 for just changing 2 seals and refill freon, pretty high. 2 days later no a/c. went back he said compressor went bad. You said the compressor was fine and other parts (Really in 2 days? Did not hold accountability for his mistake). walked out with no a/c and dissatisfied customer. filed dispute with credit card company. that week after I left, i got rained on twice because i had to roll down the windows, car got wet inside and almost got into a car accident since it was raining hard 1 day and I had to keep wiping the windshield to see on the road over and over and almost got into a car accident. i do not think you guys did the job, and on top of that, he did not offer to fix my compressor issue at all. Kirk, was looking for a compressor and he was not going to pay for the compressor, that's what he said. you guys are going to double charge me again when i come back.

The pug only takes 15 minutes to complete. Finally it was fixed and very affordable. The car indicated finally said the pressure no longer leak.

Amazing place! Best experience I have ever had in ANY auto repair shop. Needed emergency repairs for misfiring engine and they were able to look at my car immediately. Steve was extremely professional and even took the time to explain to me the cause and effect of the misfiring with expert knowledge and patience. He saved me a few hundred dollars too and did not try to up-sell me any additional service or parts not needed. This place definitely has ALL my future business. The long drive for me is worth going to a mechanic I can trust and gets things done extremely fast. Hats off to Ian the owner for hiring and keeping great staff. I origionally took my car to Atlantic Air for AC work because they were highly recommended. I was very impressed with the work they did and then found out they do just about any type of work on cars. Over the years I have gotten to know Ian, Steve, and Mitch and take my car to them for every possible repair work that needs to be done. They are as HONEST as they come, which is something that has always scared me about car mechanics, as I had some bad experiences in the past. I was recently referred to Atlantic Auto Repair by a friend and am so very grateful for the recommendation. They were able to address multiple issues I had with my older model vehicle and efficiently handle all repair work needed. Stephen kept in regular contact with me throughout the transaction, alerting me of what I could expect the cost to be for both parts & labor. They also obtained two new replacement tires to match the other two on my car, and the total cost was reasonable considering the work involved. I will definitely return to them for all future maintenance service. This is how a good, ethical shop is supposed to operate. Highly recommended! read more

I brought my 100 thousand miles 2009 Odyssey to have new rear shock absorbers as well as a new exhaust pipe installed. The quote Steven @ Atlantic Auto Repair gave me was 10 times ( not a figure of speech) cheaper than what the Honda Service Center would have charged me, exactly what I needed for a car with such mileage. I brought the car in Wednesday noon, 2 days after Irma wrecked havoc in South Florida and my car was ready before 4 pm! My car is driving like it's new! Taking my car to this shop was the best thing I ever did and totally worth the drive from West Palm Beach. I went in April of this year after so many different quotes, diagnoses, and failed attempts. I spoke with Ian and he was able to quickly identify what was wrong with my A/C and fix it within hours. I had been battling with my car's A/C issues for just over a year and it was fixed in one day. This has been the best service I have ever received from a car shop- which is hard to come by for a woman. The honesty and professionalism was exceptional. A very honest and knowledgable shop. As a busy single mom I often don't have time to plan or sit and wait too long and everytime I call they do their best to get me right in. I've also been turned away a couple of times due to a dummy light or a minor issue and I really appreciate the honesty and knowledge of what's going on with my car. The first time I visted was to get an estimate for something that another garage told me that I needed. As it turned out I didn't need the repair and thanks to Atlantic I wasn't out the $$$. My wife and I have been taking our cars to Stephen and Ian for many years now. They have our complete trust. I know when they tell me my car needs a particular service they are giving me a honest and knowledgeable assessment. I had Atlantic Auto Repair install a new plastic splash shield to replace the original which I damaged by accidentally driving over a parking spot block. After installation they drove my car a bit to make sure I didn't damage the suspension or brakes. They told me the car was now fine. I was impressed with work they did, the care they took of my car and the reasonable price they charged. I overcharged my AC last night - I wouldn't recommend doing that ever again - and my AC compressor wasn't staying on. Fearing that I did some major damage I drove to Atlantic Auto repair as soon as they opened today. It's a very busy shop but Steve took my car in without an appointment and had the AC working in under an hour. The price was extremely reasonable and Steve couldn't have been nicer. I love this place. I found them about 4 years ago when I needed a new a/c. I initially went just to get an estimate and they were far less than the other two places I went to for estimates. The service was fantastic and I've been going there ever since. Ian, Steve, and the other guys are really friendly to my daughter and I and are really great at getting me in right away. I was recommended to them by a personal friend and they have now worked on our company vehicles and my personal vehicles as well. Hard to find a quality and trustworthy mechanic/auto shop in S. FL., but look no further as they are top notch. The quoted repair costs are less than local dealerships as well, and at times w/ better products (i.e. royal purple engine oil, etc.). Excellent work. I have a 2008 Honda CRV and this model has problems with the AC clutch and compressor. I checked all the parts they replaced and they were new. The work looks clean and done professionally. I was going to do the work my self, but I did not have the equipment and time. So I was looking for a place with good reviews and I'm glad I found them. This week I left my 20 y/o pickup truck with them for cooling system, shocks, brakes, and A/C work. In all of these they did outstanding work at a fair price, but moreover, they did it honestly, replacing only what actually needed to be replaced. Turnaround time was amazing considering all that needed to be done. I'll not be taking my truck anywhere else. I highly recommend these guys! read more
