Unfortunate to have to leave this review. I originally brought my 2020 Subaru Forester to Atlantic in March 26 for a new AC evaporator core & expansion valve kit. The dash had to be removed for this to be installed. Unfortunately, the issues with the shop began even before the work started. I made an appointment and dropped off the car......and the car sat untouched for 6 days. No call, no update from the shop. I was without a car for 6 days when I didn't have to be. Once the job was completed (9 days in total) I noticed that there was a crack in my dashboard that was never there previously. The car was also filthy and I found a half eaten chicken wing in the back seat. At the time I did not complain, or leave a bad review, but I wasn't happy. For the next 2 months I noticed there was a mildew, wet smell in the car that I could not get to the bottom of. Forward to late May. When I started the car, my dashboard lights went crazy. I took the key out of the ignition and the dashboard lights did NOT turn off. I took my car to Subaru and they diagnosed the problem. The bottom line is, when Atlantic re-installed my dashboard they forgot to attach the AC drip hose. AC drain water was leaking into the cabin under my carpet for 2 months and caused corrosion and a short in my CAN harness bus lines. Subaru told me that I have to replace my instrument cluster harness and the harness that runs to the back of the car. So, now that I know that this dashboard short was caused by Atlantic's negligence, I brought my car back to them in (Jun 1, 26). After speaking to the management, I find out that my car has again been sitting for 4 days and no mechanic has touched it. Once again no call or update from the shop. The customer service belies Atlantic's google reviews. Atlantic refused to reimburse me for the diagnosis from Subaru and my rental car bills, even though it was their mistake. They say I should have brought the car back to them before I went to Subaru. This does not hold up. Why would I bring it back to them for electrical problems when I had my AC fixed there? They did fix my dashboard and now say the car is fine. The car now has a terrible mildew smell from the AC drain leak. I would not recommend this shop. read more

I brought my Mercedes in at the last minute for brakes and they were able to start immediately on my car . They were very honest, knowledgable and very reasonably priced. Had it towed to Audi who provided me a ridiculously obscene estimate to repair my car, including my thermostat assembly/water pump. After giving Audi a piece of my mind, had my car towed to Atlantic who provided an estimate at a fraction of Audi's. I recently broke down in a parking lot and had my old, disabled dog in the back seat. I did a quick Yelp search and Atlanta Auto Repair had great reviews. I called, spoke to Steve and he even recommended a towing company (Sal's Towing) that was fair and reliable. Once I got to Atlanta Auto Repair, Steve welcomed my dog and I inside and even had a dog treat for my pooch. Steve was very, very nice and straightforward. I went home and within hours, Steve called and said my car was ready. Turns out it was just a battery and for the first time ever, I had a reasonably priced Audi repair. This mechanics are horrible. They are far from 5 stars. They are 0 stars.. The reason I gave 5 stars is because it gets put on the top of the list. These mechanics are not professional at all. They don't help, they just gives excuses. I'm an Army Reservist. I've been serving this country for the past 7 years and it's very unfortunate to get ripped off. I bought an Audi 2007 with all the savings that I had and I was planning on not having any issues with the car. I bought the car in May 2019. This car has given me so many problems. It initially had a starting problem. I was told to take it to Atlantic Repair in Fort Lauderdale. The mechanic said there was no issue, even though the car clearly had a starting problem. I had to take the car to another mechanic to find out that the issue was the gas valve needed to be changed. To this day the mechanic denies that there is a problem with the car. 1 - 2 weeks after I bought the car, the check engine light turned on and it was the thermostat that needed to be changed. Due to I did not trust the mechanic, I took it to another mechanic. They fixed the issue but the starting problem was still there. I've spent close to $1000 trying to fix the issue and had no luck. Be careful with these mechanics. read more

A Auto mechanic with 5* reviews... Not possible... Or so I thought. I was having AC issues with my 2015 Nissan Altima. I have a little AC experience (non automotive though), so I knew what to expect. I was given a rough quote by Ian and told that the problem is most likely a bad compressor. Possible rebuild and same day turn around for a very reasonable price. A higher price if the whole unit needed replaced. (Still VERY Reasonable)... Well, the compressor was shot, so it was the higher estimate. But was still $130 less than I was quoted. Way cheaper than the dealer and better components were used. Steve was in constant communication with me and the car was returned with Ice cold ac within 24hrs! Great job guys! I have been going to Atlantic for the past few years and have always been treated great. Unlike other mechanics, this place will not pull that story that you need more work done. I had a Ford Explorer that was in the shop and he said I needed more work and I admit I was skeptical. Steve suggested I come over and he would show me. Even to my untrained eye, it was very obvious the parts needed to be changed. Also, I had a water (I think) pump replaced and it cost around $350. About 10 months later, the pump failed again. I took it back to see if it was covered under warranty. Steve asked if I had the receipt since he didn't have a record of it in his system. I couldn't find my receipt but didn't matter because Steve called a few hours later and told me he was able to find the receipt by the part number and it was covered. No other mechanic would do that, they would just charge me because it was my fault for not having the receipt. I could go on and on about Atlantic Auto but Steve and Ian are honest and are not gonna rip you off. They have repeat customers for life with me and I tell everybody they should go to Atlantic. Also, the reason I found Atlantic, besides the fact I live 5 minutes away is I actually saw them on Help me Howard on channel 7 news and they repaired a car that was brought other places with no luck. I had Atlantic Auto Repair install a new plastic splash shield to replace the original which I damaged by accidentally driving over a parking spot block. After installation they drove my car a bit to make sure I didn't damage the suspension or brakes. They told me the car was now fine. I brought my Porsche here for: oil change, wheel alignment , check engine light reset and to fix a broken window up/down button. Though Steve was busy, he made the time to talk and listen to me about my cars issues. They took in my car and had to order a part ($10 bucks for overnight delivery of the part) but the work was completed the next day and I was on my way in time for the weekend. The cost for all this work was Significantly less than I was used to paying in California, another perk of living in South Florida. I've been looking for a trustworthy auto repair close to my house for a while and called a few places where they would all charge me over 100 dollars just for checking my car, talked to Steve and he said to bring the car and he would look at it, I did and within 5 minutes he gave me a diagnosis for free. I of course did the repair with them and was quickly out of there, he told me it would take 2 hours and was out of there in 1 hour. The price was good and my car feels great. I took my Land Rover here for an oil change and tire rotation. Steve gave me an excellent quote and was honest and fair. While the car was in for service, he located a brake line that was rubbing on the wheel well and was causing the line to leak. Steve called me and suggested we have it repaired. I had a brake emergency on Mother's Day and, while their shop was closed, Ian the owner was still kind enough to reply to my online message and assure me they would take care of me. I had my son go to Steve at Atlantic earlier this month to fix his AC and he treated him so great. Not only was his price lower that the others nearby, but he was able to do the repairs very quickly. He also went back to him to fix his manual shifter, and after he was taken to the cleaners by another shop up the road, Steve will be able to handle that problem and fix other things that have to be done on his car. I've taken both my Jeep and Mazda to Steve (the owner) for miscellaneous repairs and each time, he was straight up with me, charged me fairly; and got my cars up and running - well within the time frame he quoted. No BS, no technical talk, no up-selling or any of the shady garbage every auto shop in town vomits at you.
