Too much stuff. Disorganized and messy. Smelled like synthetic weed. Very stressful. Found what i was looking for though.

i used to love coming here. The prices have doubled for so many of the grocery items and service has declined rapidly. Long lines, very few registers open, broken or missing price check scanners, broken fountain drink machines, broken escalators and elevators, clanky carts, messy isles, online prices that are much lower than shelf prices, shelf pricing not matching register pricing, sale signs that are still on the shelf after months of expiring, and out of stock items. The only redeeming quality here is the customer service desk when you do need to return something or make a previous purchase right. They excel there. But parking is often a mess because Mosaic has so many events here. How can management continue to neglect all of these issues. You're driving me away to places like Lidl and maybe Safeway. I drove there today to check prices and they are better on some things and worse on others, but the parking was quick and easy and there were zero lines and a much better selection. I'd rather pay a little more for better service. Stop using Covid or inflation as excuses to let your service go to hell. I'm done with this location. read more

Dear Target employee who berated for using the bathroom when there was a tiny sign saying there was light flooding. I know you hate your job and I do too but rarely do customer say their sorry and I said sorry profusely. You still gave me attitude and I guess that's just the way we are in the world where somebody understands they were wrong and still gets flack for it. Your saying "I guess the sign meant nothing to you" was passive aggressive and when I apologized you were still an ass. I didn't see the sign and I apologized to you and you still we rude. I didn't feel great afterwards when you pointed it out and I feel bad now. But I feel better saying "screw you" and this messy Target. Being so close to my place, the convenience of having a Target close by makes any last minute shopping need pretty easy. I used to shop for groceries at Target, but with the Asian grocery stores nearby, and Harris Teeter right across the street, that is now a thing of the past. Despite the convenience, I don't like how the Red Cards require a pin for use. read more

They really need to police their retail parking spots. Plenty of parking available yet the ones taking up parking are those visiting the mosaic shops. You'll circle for 30/60 minutes so it's better to just find another target to shop at that has more in stock. read more

I was just here. It was my first time at this location. It's a Sunday. They had ONE person working the registers. I waited in line for 45 minutes! Horrible. His cash register system kept failing and getting rebooted. And everyone was yelling at him like it's his fault. He was literally a 15-year-old kid. Management, you are to blame! This is my favorite Target in the area. A parking garage with an elevator makes this easily accessible for families. There's a Starbucks when you walk in. The aisles are large and easy to navigate. Customer service is always helpful. I recommend buying things online and doing in-store pickup. In the Target app, there's something sort of similar to a coupon book called Cartwheel. It's a little annoying to use though, because it requires too many steps (saving the coupons in the app, scanning them with your phone once you're in the store, then handing the final coupon to the cashier.) They have pretty limited groceries and produce. I usually attempt buying my groceries here but wind up going to a real grocery store for those one-off ingredients. This is the best place to buy diapers in my opinion! Target diapers work just fine for my daughter, and they are way cheaper than all of the other brands. Add that to a deal they commonly do where if you spend $100 on diapers you get a $20 gift card and all of a sudden financing a baby doesn't seem so difficult! read more

This is your run of the mill Target located in the Mosaic shopping district. It is not my favorite by far, but it works. What about this Target isn't so great? One, the parking is pretty bad. If you go on the weekends, be prepared to circle around the parking garage or just drive up to the top. Parking can be tight. Two, I've had a bad experience with a pretty snippy team member in the self-checkout. Maybe they were having a bad day, but in any case, don't take it out on your customers--they are keeping you employed! TLDR; If you are in the area and need to pick up a few things, this Target is fine, but don't make a point of shopping here often. read more

I received an e-mail this morning to go "into the store" to pick up an online order. The previous week I went "into the store" to purchase two Phillips Sonicare toothbrushes for kids but they were out of stock. I wanted to use my $10 off coupons so I was "directed" by the Customer Service representative "in the store" to purchase the items "online" and then have them delivered to the store. Upon pick-up I would then be able to use the manufacture coupons: sounded like a great plan... Fast forward to today: I received an e-mail to pick up my items and went "into the store" to pick them up. After ringing up my items, the Customer Service representative "Sumari or Rajimari" (forgive the butchering of his name) then stated he "could not apply the manufacture coupons to an online order". I then explained that he was stating the "exact opposite" of what his Target counterparts told me less than a week ago. In a very robotic display, he again told me he "could not apply the manufacture coupons to an online order" and I promptly asked to speak to the manager. What's amazing about the entire ordeal was the "radio silence" (lengthy pause) between my request and his third robotic response that a manufacture's coupon could not be applied to an online order. Now I could "try" to see where he was coming from if the sum total of $20 in coupons was going to make Target file for bankruptcy, but this was not the case. I asked him if there was a problem with him getting the manager so that I could explain that clearly "all of the employees were not on the same page in regards to this process" -- he then glanced in the direction of a gentleman named Patrick and beckoned for him to come over. Attention Target Management -- PROMOTE Patrick and highly consider putting the gentleman named above in some form of REMEDIAL customer service training and FAST. In less than one minute, Patrick "listened" to my issue and "applied" a $20 store coupon and went on to handle another customer issue that probably could have been handled without his intervention. Well, you can imagine the awkwardness between me and "Mr. I Don't Know What in the World I am Talking About". He finished ringing up my order and then dropped the bag on the counter when I reached over to take it from him. While I was in my military uniform I still believe it was best that I maintained the higher road and walked out of the store with my purchases and at the price I should have paid for them. Had it not been for Patrick, this would have been a "-5 STAR" (yup, that's a negative 5) Yelp Review. I had plans to renew my Target Red Card which was closed while I was stationed overseas. The drive up service here is a joke. I was waiting 30 minutes outside in the car. Went inside and no customers were at the customer service desk. So I walk straight up to an employee and stated that I'd been waiting outside for my purchases. They verified that I had been waiting and then corrected me that I only been waiting at 24 minutes not 30. They never have a supervisor that you can talk to around. The rest of the store is OK. I love target! Synonymous with retail therapy bliss and leaving with a cart full of treasure that I didn't know I needed, I have been a loyal customer since my teenage years. This is the closest target to my home, that said, I will drive to a further target to avoid this one time permitting. It is a mess! The parking garage and the store itself are crowded and hard to get around and the store is too messy. I was picking up a few things for tonight and I just love this Target. There's always parking and it's never crowded. They had a really cool Christmas Santa chair and plenty of Christmas trees with light and everything. Their decorations are on point that I actually ended up getting a few more decorations for our house (not that we needed more decorations ) but there's always room for great things. Plus their quality is really good that you know they will last a few years. The staff is always helpful and pleasant. I think this is probably my favorite Target in the area. I don't understand why people keep knocking Mosaic Target. People say they are short staffed but have they ever been to Walmart in Vienna? At the Vienna Walmart there is no one to help you and on top of that they charge you for parking. Walmart beats Target on price sometimes but there is no one to help you at Walmart so you end up searching endlessly for what you came in to buy. Target always has staff to help you and they take you to the item you are looking for. Just ask! read more

Answer the phone!!! The same situation as the other Target store, but this one actually hung up on us. We wanted to check to see if an item was in stock from another Target. I'd recommend choosing another Target - this one is really subpar. It's disorganized; messy; and it's rare to find any associates walking the floor to help you locate an item. The escalators and drink fountains are constantly broken. The final straw for me was when, on a recent visit, I only saw 2-3 "regular" checkouts open, and (I'm not joking) well over 50 people in line for the self checkout. This was on a Saturday afternoon, so I would definitely expect more appropriate staffing! I ended up leaving my basket of merchandise and going elsewhere. A newer, bright and shiny Target in a pleasantly upscale area. Fairly standard organization of departments plus grocery section. Produce is not as fresh as at other Targets but otherwise everything else is as one would normally find at a Target. So super convenient to purchasing household goods, some level of electronics, clothes, baby goods, toys, etc. read more

I did notice the makeup section is the least well stocked, must be their most popular section. They probably should do a better job keeping it filled, if you are looking for specific items, they might be out. There is parking on Level 1-3 and the store is on Level 4. Parking garage is well lit, I felt safe at night. Clean and well stocked with nice employees. They didn't carry as much much kitchen ware and bath linen as I would have liked, but it looked nice quality. I was surprised to see a Photo place and Pharmacy. There is a little eating place and Starbucks. Grocery section. I liked it and would return. They had a lot, but not a wide variety of brands. read more

I was just in the store and I had to walk out without buying anything. I got to the register and of the nine items in the cart, four of them rang up differently than the price on the shelves. and of course if I want to challenge that, I'm the one that has to go back to the shop and take the picture. I always wonder when this happens, is it that the management is grossly incompetent? Or maybe it's just the employees are lazy and don't pay attention? Or maybe, just maybe, it's the corporation itself. A few cents here and there across millions of items and millions of shoppers that's up to a lot of money. I really have come to the conclusion that these people are deliberately mispricing items to bilk its customers. read more

Review #25 This Target is located at 2905 District Ave S Ste 400, Fairfax, VA 22031, in the Mosaic District in Merrifield, off Strawberry Lane and Gallows Road. The hours are Mon-Sat: 8am-11pm and Sun: 8am-10pm It opened in Oct 2012, so it still has the new feeling to it. I remember when they were building the Mosaic area up, knocking down the old part of Merrifield, and then saw a large Target being built. I'm embarrassed to say I was excited there was a Target super store opening soon. It's so bright and shiny you can't miss the eye blinding lights that shout, "Here's Target, don't miss it while you're stopping in the Town Center for restaurant/fast food or other shopping." You can even see the red target bull's eye sign in heavy fog. The parking garage is free, and the direct level to the Target doors is on the 3rd level parking garage. You can also take the Orange Line Metro and get off at Dunn Loring/Merrifield, which about one mile away. Once you enter the doors, you take the elevator or escalators to the next level up, the 4th floor, where the store is located. This store has a mini grocery store with a fresh produce section, frozen foods section, cold drinks, packaged goods, and for those who want wine, there's a wine aisle for those who are in a hurry and don't want to drive all the way to the nearest liquor store by making another stop. There is a large selection of towels, household goods, kitchenware, vacuum cleaners, fans, clothing and accessories, tools, beauty and toiletries section, and office supplies. They even sell a few bikes with cheap prices. They also have a Starbucks, a pizza café, a Pharmacy, a Photo Lab, and have a slushie machine. The only bad thing here is the data connection with your cell phones, at least mine, and I've seen others complain about it too. I barely get 3G, much less 4G while I'm in the store, so it's hard to "check-in" to Yelp while in the store. I have better reception in the parking garage, so I check-in while I'm walking to the entrance. For the most part, the check-out lanes are quick unless it's really crowded, then you're obviously going to have a wait. The checkout cashiers have been friendly, so that's another plus. read more

Love this location Target. My friend and I stopped by to get few birthday treats for our friend and they enlarged the back area for wine and beer section along with refrigerated and frozen goods. This location Target is really booming. Always find what I need at target and more. If you are in the mosaic area for movie or grabbing HH with dinner etc, check Target out. read more

Not impressed! Probably partly due to the face that I still had 6min to shop and Dude acted like he didn't want to let me in. You know folks come here bc it's open late. Even asked what I needed....mannnn this Jesus in me keeps a whole lot of folks from getting snapped on and me out of trouble. Target, I have been anxiously awaiting for you to open since I saw the "Opening in Fall 2012" sign in the Mosaic District last year. I work 5 minutes away, occasionally dine/carry-out from a few of the restaurants during my lunch break and I go to the gym in the same shopping center, so opening a Target in this area is extremely convenient for me! Even though I usually walk out looking at my receipt and wondering what exactly I spent $50+ on, (mostly things "I think" I need) this particular location has a wide variety of merchandise. Their beauty section (I literally spent an hour there with my BFF) is AMAZING because there's an extended amount of product selections of brands such as ELF, NYC, Sonia Kashuk, Pixi, and so many others. The store itself is only 1 floor, but there's a multilevel parking garage which digitally lets you know how many parking spaces are on each floor. read more

This Target is a disgusting MESS. Always piles of clothing and merchandise on the floor. Empty shelves and racks. Clothing and items jumbled together and not arranged by proper size or color. Makes me not want to shop there. I have given it several tries, thinking they are just having a bad day and are short staffed. But every time I go in, it looks this way. I just moved to the area from a city where Target was a pleasure to shop in, so this is quite a shock. They really need to step it up at this location. read more

This is the worst target I've ever visited. I had received an outfit for my son and wanted to exchange it for a larger size. This particular target had 3 outfits in stock in the size I needed so I drove out there. As I got close to the kids section I thought it was odd that there were large rolling silver racks everywhere with tons and tons of clothes on them. I've never had this thought at target before but was like geez they have a TON of inventory. I got to the kids section and everything was everywhere, the kids clothes and the baby clothes were mixed together in the kids and baby section. Boys and girls, different brands, colors, styles, items, sizes all mixed together. I didn't even know what to do or where to go. After I walked around in circles for a while I asked someone who worked there, she looked and shockingly couldn't find the 3 outfits that showed in the inventory list. I've just never seen anything like it and expect a lot more from target. I suspect no ones buying anything because it's not properly organized. What a disaster!! read more

Kudos to planners and architects for having the foresight to build multi level parking lots connected to this target, wish designers of Target in Columbia Heights in D.C. had the same foresight. I found this store this be clean, and with helpful staff. I asked staff member where bubble packaging and packing tape were, and instead just telling me, she walked me to the aisle and showed. This target, 3 years later, is still lacking in organization and inventory. The dollar section is always sparse and almost empty which is the first thing you see when you walk in the door. I'm really surprised at how destroyed the inside of this Target was compared to the nice shopping area it is in. There was discarded merchandise all over the place, forgotten items haphazardly put back and abandoned shopping carts littering the aisles. You also probably wouldn't think 9 pm on a Wednesday would be super crowded, but the lines at check out were out of control! What a weird experience. Did I miss a huge sale day? There's not much for me to shop here because I mistook this place with TJ Maxx lol so I kept looking around for Michael Kors. They don't carry MK here. What was I thinking? This Target has pros and cons. The pros are location and ease of parking during off times. The parking garage is super convenient. If it's raining you won't get wet. But...if you come anytime on a weekend it will be a madhouse. Lots of traffic. May be harder to find a spot. There are other garages in Mosaic, but this one is attached to target and you can take your cart right to your car, so it is definitely the preferred garage if shopping for more than one bag full of stuff. The fact that this target is in Mosaic makes it super convenient if you are already coming to Mosaic for movies, eating, and other shopping. The guest services staff, management and order pickup are all good and seem to be well run at that front desk. But someone needs to train all employees on how to clean a bathroom. The cons... This is an urban Target. Although it has a grocery section and all the departments, it is smaller and not as well stocked as the Seven Corners Target, which would be my preferred location if I wasn't already going to the Moasaic District. It is much bigger than the other nearby urban Target which is a true Urban Target and tiny, in Falls Church at Tinner Hill. The biggest con of all - The bathrooms. These are the dirtiest bathrooms I have ever consistently seen in any type of store like this (Target, Walmart, KMart, Etc). These bathrooms are dirty EVERY time I come to this store, and I have been coming here consistently since it opened. Not only are they not kept up by the staff but they always smell terrible. I try to avoid using the bathrooms here if I can avoid it. So to sum it up, it's not bad to get what you need. You may not find everything you are looking for. If you order online for pickup it's super convenient. Avaoid the bathrooms! read more

Reina in Electronics was simply amazing. She caught me looking a bit lost and offered her assistance immediately. While taking me to the aisle that held my item, Reina, unknowingly checked the Cartwheel app and informed me immediately that it was on sale for 50% off. Well, I didn't have the app, yet knew I needed to download it immediately. Who passes up a discount. Reina then informs me that Target has guest wifi. Who knew that! Soooooooooooooo, I link up to the wifi, download the Cartwheel app, take my item to the register and the discount is all mine. Thank you, Reina, for the awesome customer service. My favorite Target location! I cannot believe I haven't written a review for this place given that I'm here at LEAST once a week. Conveniently located in the Mosaic District shopping center across from my gym (Xsport Fitness), whenever I'm in need of toiletries, cheap makeup, snacks, gifts, socks, etc. this is my default one-stop shop. There's an entrance/egress through main doors (where Dolcezza is located) as well as through the upper level of the parking garage. Literally unable to spend less than $25 here, I come in for ONE thing and leave with 40. Which is ironic because the products sold here tend to be priced cheaper than other drugstores/grocery stores and department stores alike! Lord have mercy. There is also a small Starbucks with tables and a small concession stand physically inside of Target I guess in case customers need nourishment after all that shopping..as if Mosaic didn't have enough food offerings already LOL. The workers are friendly and always willing to help. And if I'm looking for something in particular, they usually have it in stock as opposed to the other locations. It's also fairly well-kept and tidy for the most part, considering the amount of foot traffic they get on a daily basis. Whether it's a trip of necessity or a mini shopping splurge, I will continue to shop here until the day they establish one right next door to my house. read more
