I was buying a Pokémon Holiday Calendar as a gift but this person already had one after I had purchased the product. So before even leaving the store I went to the return and was met with "our policy says you can't return this" to which my reply was "how am I supposed to know that?!" Your checker didn't say anything, your computer didn't pop up with a warning, and there were no postings of this policy by the actual products. The only place it was written for the customer to see is on the reciept AFTER they are finished with their purchase. So I feel as this policy is trying to intentionally screw people over. I understand not EVERY policy should have to be posted but when you cannot return items that are kept in store year round it NEEDS to be posted for these non-returnable products. When I asked to speak with manager all she said was "Well, we can put a sign up but next time make sure to read the Target policy's on our website." Although I've only been to this location about a dozen times, I have no complaints. Every employee that I've had contact with here has always been professional, helpful, friendly, and or polite. On 09/11/2020, I had a bad experience at Target Orange Show Road San Bernadino. On 09/12/2020, I called this Fontana location and spoke with a manager named Alex. I explained the situation to her, and then she asked me to come by to have the problem resolved. The next day, 09/13/2020, I came by shortly before closing. I asked the person at Guest Services if Alex was available. Within moments, Alex came up to the counter, remembered our conversation, and then instructed her employee on how to resolve my issue. Because of the excellent customer service of Alex and her team, I am once again happy to be a Target customer for life. read more

People complaining about this Target must have never frequented a Target in the LA area. From the customer service person who gave me an extra discount on an exchange, to the door greeter, to the young sales guy who knew the exact aisle number of the product I was looking for and to the random employees who told us thank you upon leaving. Stellar experience and very clean store with lots of parking. If you are ever on the 10 in the Fontana area don't hesitate to make a stop here. Plus their tax rate is under 8%! read more

I live in Riverside, but was in Fontana today. I went to this Target to get a few things and I was very impressed by the team members and a security guard. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. The store is huge and was very clean. Even though I went shortly after the store opened, which meant that shelves and the refrigerators were still being stocked, the aisle weren't completely blocked and I was able to access all the items I needed. I was most impressed by the gentleman at the front door by the health/beauty sections. He greeted everyone and he was sure to have carts lined up for customers as they walked in. Takes to Long For Curve side pick up I Ordered Like. A Day Before and I went the next day I was waiting for 30 minutes.

Truly disappointed after today's visit. Lied to by Alex but with Anette their to take action and quickly turn around my experience. I came in to return a defective item which was an air mattress. As soon as we pumped it up it immediately within seconds started losing air. I took it to return services where I was told only exchange on same item, so okay I go look for one to exchange and there is little to nothing left and the one I wanted was opened. I stopped by Alex the i guess the manager at about 5:40pm on 8.26.20 who tells me I absolutely cannot do a return and goes on to lie and tell me her registers won't even prompt a function to do a return. I stressed to her my frustration and she continued to lie and tell me there is nothing she can do ... Then I ask her to look in the opened one and tell me if it has all pieces and she said it does. Then I go back to return area where we looked inside to find a missing pump ... how upsetting!!! Finally Anette without hesitation sees our frustration and allows a refund. This is what taking care of the customer is all about. Especially given the circumstances. I am extremely disappointed in Alex and how she acted careless and lied straight to my face ... this associate needs to be retrained and coached on how to speak to a customer! It is this type of carelessness behavior that makes your location lose business! Wont be returning and do not recommend. read more

I'm here all the time as it's the closest target to me and overall it's good but there's some room for improvement. Firstly, it's convenient to do some light grocery shopping here however when the shopping carts are filthy (no exaggeration, they're really dirty and a wipe isn't enough sometimes) it makes it hard to want my bananas or other produce to touch any part of the shopping cart. Very unsanitary for the kiddos who need to sit in them also. Please make it an important priority to wash them more often. Secondly, when stocking aisles please acknowledge that customers still need to get by you. I'm usually with my kids and it's difficult to manage through aisles when a huge cart is blocking more than half of it and the employee working doesn't bother to make space for you to browse and pass by. read more

This Target leaves much to be desired. First off, the location is difficult to get to in a mall area with lots of traffic building up so it takes forever to even get to the parking lot. Every time I have been here, it also is incredibly busy with insane lines and hardly anybody working or trying to work quickly. They do have a large selection of items and even groceries, but the clothing area in the women's section is always in disarray. Especially the shoes. There are never any matches and things are all over the place. I only go here because it is closeby one of my work areas and I don't want to drive all over the place. Be prepared to spend a ton of time here though because getting into the parking lot and waiting for customer service takes forever. read more

*STORY TIME* This past weekend my experience with Target (Fontana/Slover ave.) was extremely UNIQUE. My girl Tamara and her daughters (my nieces) and myself went to shop for new clothes. We specifically went for the girls because Target is known for this kids brand Cat & Jack. Tamara has been talking about it for a few weeks so we finally got around to going. We entered the store, we planned to cook dinner and eat at home but we felt snack-ish too. We knew shopping hungry is no good for us lol, so we stopped at the Snack Stand which is next to the Starbucks near the entrance. Our oldest Phoenix (9yr) had to go "use-it" so Tamara took her. I stayed with our little one Anaya (4yr) and ordered a pop corn and a slushee (it was bomb - btw). No one was around us, the popcorn guy even hooked us up with fresh popcorn. We weren't in a rush, it was Friday evening.. The whole weekend was on the horizon for our taking. Tamara comes back we proceed to shop. After shopping, I realize I misplaced the keys. My heart falls, but I don't panic because this has happened before -- maybe Tamara has them, or one of the girls has them around their neck. NOPE! Ok -- no sweat. I proceed to check the car... Tamara and the girls retrace our steps in the store... I'm outside walking up and down the aisles replaying my own steps, I had the keys right? I remember locking the car.. Hearing the alarm...... Didn't I park the car here? Yea I pulled up, and through a spot like I backed it in.. Where is the car? By this time I called Tamara to see if she had any progress locating the keys. She answers and by her tone I know it was no luck, she tells me no she hasn't yet but her phone is on 3%. I look at my phone thru instinct and realize my phone is on 5%. Shit - is all I could muster. I call my ex hubby and let him know what's going on.. It sinks in, the car is GONE. Also that the keys are GONE. Thomas processing the news on the other side, as he just gets settled in at work -- says call the police. I call.. tell them my car has been stolen -- they dispatch an officer. While waiting for the officer, Tamara is talking to Guest Relations and Target Security. We're trying to figure out what happened... The officer comes and while I'm giving the report, Tamara starts to get some answers. I gave my report to the officer... while I was doing that.. Tamara inquired about the rest of the findings on the footage. Target Security tried to gloss over the fact that the employee gave our keys to the white male. She also glossed over the fact that the white male exited with a white female who also stole a printer...Or that the printer was stolen by a white female 10 mins before we entered the store (one of those) Popcorn guy GAVE my keys away. From what we were told.. The footage revealed that a white male, trailed behind us into the store. We still don't know why we were followed.. But it sent me into a mental frenzy. I'm still trying to figure it out. (did he not like our appearance, our goofy kids, two black women, maybe he heard me call her babe.. Did he think we were a lesbian couple, did he think we don't need our vehicle????) So, the white male saw that we left the keys on the counter. The popcorn guy left for a second.. The male proceeded to pick up our keys.. Get a good description and put the keys down. He walked away....then came back when Popcorn guy came back.. Said he lost his keys -- said they had a purple lanyard on them -- and popcorn associate gave the white male MY KEYS!!!! Popcorn guy never gave a statement to the officer, Target security and Jr. Management let the popcorn guy finish his shift as if NOTHING happened. When Tamara and the girls was retracing our steps -- she asked the Popcorn guy about our keys-- He lied to her at first, said he never saw any keys. Then when Tamara asked him again (her gut said he was lying) he then said they didn't have a purple string but a NAVY BLUE lanyard. He even mentioned there was a line behind us... there was NEVER a line. He never helped the man he gave our keys too. He could have known the guy for all we know -- and figured we wouldn't notice our CAR STOLEN since we were too busy shopping. After all of that -- Tamara went to return the girls clothes, because our car was stolen.. phones were dying, and without our car that $140 and some change would come in handy. One of the cashiers that got invested while watching what was happening helped her with the return transaction and had the nerve to try and only give her HALF credit for what was bought. We never even LEFT the store -- the service displayed during this distressing time was terrible. We ended up paying for the charger at a $5 discounted price thanks to someone that felt bad. The situation was handled as if THIS was a scenario that was never accounted for. read more

Manager Jacqueline was very rude!!! Heard her yelling to workers through the walkie talkie! There is no need to be rude. When I asked her for help she was very short and when I was asking her another question she plain out just walked away! No help or anything! Seriously if that's the type of managers this place hires then they might as well make anyone a manager! Place is so messy! Hardly anything is where it's supposed to be!!! Some trash in aisles! I saw a spilled product on the floor and no one around to clean it! It was there for almost two hours! Someone could have slipped on that but then again I'd Jacqueline is the manager and if she's notified of someone slipping she'd probably just walk away mid conversation! After spending 45 minutes on the phone with corporate employees pulling teeth for information ( the employee didn't really address my concerns and even pushed to end our call because they decided the issue was resolved) I gave my local store a call and asked for someone that handles inventory. My call was transferred to Eli and he was great. The item I'm looking for is sold online and in stores so I gave him a rundown of my situation and he took the time to talk to me like a person and actually answer my questions. Eli acknowledged my frustration in a way that actually made me feel heard. I understand that Target.com isn't the same as going into a store but I do feel like my questions were specific to the employees I spoke to. Eli answered all of my questions, explained whatever I didn't understand, and pointed me in the right direction to continue my search. When in need of multiple house hold items Target is a convenient place to go for me, let me tell you don't waste your money or time going through the isles, because you won't find some of the stuff you would assume would be in stock. Well not in this particular location. There is a low inventory or no inventory on some of the items on my list. To top it off I got a really disgusting shopping cart with tissue paper with blood. They do have employees supposedly cleaning but you can tell that they are NOT doing there job, just talking and not doing what they are paid to do. Most recent experience involves me purchasing Keebler crackers 2 days ago that I later found dated Oct, 2019. I usually check dates but in a hurry grabbed these 2 month old crackers. This is the target I usually shop at, since its the closest to our home. Most employees I've encountered are nice and helpful. Ive never had a bad experience here. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because its never clean at this location. I do know its the people that make such mess but I feel employees need to try keep up with this. TARGET IS TURNING INTO Walmart. Target locks up $6 shampoo & $3 items too REALLY? Fontana has gone downhill if all the shampoo is getting ripped off. Note: $20 moisturizer is not locked up lol The employee was REALLY NICE and helpful. This issue is about Management decisions. I waste 15 or more minutes waiting to get the case unlocked and then am told it will be waiting at register for me. For shampoo people, yes $6 shampoo! I informed one of the Target members that the card reader was not holding my card and I actually showed her how it was falling off and she looked at me annoyed and said, "No one else has had this issue." I looked at her puzzled because out of courtesy I was giving her a heads up so, they could fix it or if another customer said anything they would know why. I didn't get her name, but I was so upset that she looked annoyed and snarky comment! WHAT'S THE POINT OF BEING OPEN IF COSTUME SERVICE IS ATROCIOUS! I had to go to the city of Fontana for business. So, I had a little time to go to my favorite store and get things that I need: soap, laundry detergent, toilet paper, and some amazing naked juices + chocolate chip cookies and gouda cheese. The lady at the cashier told me how much she loved the cheese and immediately switched her attention to a long haired male manager. She was very interested to know if he was going to work tomorrow and keep talking about how much she would miss him. Well, in the middle of seemed to be a great "I'm in to you" speech, she forgot to put the groceries bag with the juices, the cookies and THE CHEESE SHE LOVES SO MUCH on my shopping cart, after it was all paid with my Target Red Card. When I got home and noticed that I was missing those items, I contacted the store and the manager told me clearly "if you want the items, you have to drive 70 miles back to the store and there's nothing else we can do about it". There's one thing I can suggest them to do: Train your employees properly so problems like that won't happen. How about that? read more
