We were here for Member Mornings where customers with TJ Maxx/Marshalls credit cards are invited in one hour earlier than the 9:30am opening time! We get a free gift - today, we had a chance to select a large white tote bag with fuschia handles or green handles - and we got one entry blank for a gift card. Guess who's name they called??? Mine! Yippee! Thank you! I enjoyed looking at the cute Easter merchandise and Hello Kitty items! I did also look at footwear and clothing, but nothing caught my attention. I responded by saying hello and thank you. As usual, the store has so much to browse on, I always start from the left to the right working my way around. That's just to see everything they have to offer. The T-shirt wall is a favorite, there's always something funny to make you laugh. I picked up a couple bundle packages of socks, a couple slime lickers (kiddo's favorite) as I made my way towards the register. Once there, I assume the same female person who greeted me, was now telling me " I need you to stand by the batteries honey!" Like I was standing in the wrong place. I was actually looking to see if the self service registers were available. The clerk was the only person assisting and her current customer was having a payment issue I believe. Meanwhile, a few other customers have now added to the line. The clerk didn't ask for anyone else to come help her, though she didn't seem bothered. The 2 young ladies at the register where doing separate transactions and the clerk was asking for her email to receive a discount. Now, I do get it.. companies want to have a way to increase their profits by sending messages or communications to shoppers. But your line is growing. You're asking for emails, then if you want to purchase a 35 cent reusable bag... the process has turned into an interview at this point. Keep your process... get more cashiers to ensure it goes quickly is all I'm saying.

Got there around 8:55 and of course there was the typical huge hodgepodge people with their carts congregating in front of the door, no lines just about 50 people, most in the shade and some in the sun. We joined the crowd, my shopping partner moved her cart from the sun into the shade a bit closer to the door . Of course some brain dead booger head Karen said that there is a line and you can't cut in front .... I just ignored her and of course several folks around me just shook their heads at her... she went on for quite awhile about rude people and lines. Meanwhile my shopping partner stayed in the shade and when the doors opened, the typical semi orderly crowd just filed like usual with the Karen still mumbling ..... Other than that it was a typical costco visit, you go in for a few items and come out with a full cart and $3-400 lighter. Good quality products, hard to resist some of the deals....
