    Self checkout

Been coming to this Target for years. I enjoyed the clean layout and facility. Their staff was always helpful when I reached out to them for questions. I also have used their CVS pharmacy. All have met my expectations. Sometimes I wonder why some shelves would be empty since covid, but so far I still get all the stuff I need, so no complaints there. Based on my Google research, Target does have some things that are better value than others. Parking is easy as there is a big parking lot.

Only one cashier for thirty customers waiting to checkout. They fired all the cashiers and installed all self checkout stands and now they closed all the self checkout stands and can't train new cashiers fast enough to replace the ones they fired years ago. I lost 25 minutes waiting in line, all self checkout stands were closed. Now you can only buy online.

#ThankYouThursday2021 is dedicated to Target!! I'm so thankful for the various shopping experiences Target has in place. My life these past two has drastically changed not awarding me a lot of time to leisurely browse and shop as I did when I was single. As a working wife and mom to two under two Target conveniently comes to my rescue on a weekly basis!! From the CVS Caremark pharmacy, wonderful assortment of cultural representative books, Blippi toys, holiday decorations, Martinnelli's apple juice, infant/toddler essentials, and a host of other consumer goods Target swiftly prepares my orders within two hours!! Secondly, I'm thankful for the option to select Drive up, walk in, delivery, or shipping. The return or exchange process is extremely EASY. Even if online shopping isn't your preference make sure you download the app to start earning dollar points per purchase, trust me you'll accumulate plenty annually (both online or in store.) My Target runs are definitely different from before, because I'm busy loving and nurturing my babies. Target has yielded me the opportunity to be there for my family and myself all while ensuring we have the essentials; Target THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! #ThankYouThursday2021

A ludicrously long line for self checkout at Alderwood Target.

15+ customers waiting for 2 self service checkout stands at 2:15PM. No help from any employees. Ridiculous!

Looking for some new kitchen rugs.

This Target can get packed during Black Friday shopping. I have found there to be a lull after the first couple open hours where the line isn't too long. They do a good job of marking the line on the ground and making it easy to follow up to the cash registers at the front of the store. During non-peak shopping times it isn't too busy and crowded. On the store level there are offerings from electronics to sporting goods to clothing to grocery to home furnishings to hygiene, etc. Though the offerings in each category can be a bit limited, I suppose the price to pay for having a wide spattering of things. Target still is my go to location for comfortable lingerie (bras and panties) at a decent price. If you find a bra you like I recommend stocking up on it as merchandise can change quickly and the bra you like might no longer be available (I've had this happen with some of the sports bras and convertible back bras). Check-out is simple and straightforward and both self check-out and cashier check-out options are available.

I'd gone to several…read moredifferent furniture stores and narrowed down what I was looking for in terms of style and color, and the fact that I definitely wanted the brand, Stanton, but with the long lead times for all ordered furniture, was referred to Furniture World because they have access to a large number of styles in stock. Specifically, with Stanton. (If you're not aware, it's a furniture manufacturer based in Oregon with great quality and fabulous warranty.) Anyway, I went and Brandy was the PERFECT combination of available, helpful, and not pushy. I was able to explore and try different pieces, ask questions, and she gave great recommendations. She was beyond patient while I FaceTimed my husband, shared dimensions, and even helped me drag cushions outside to see the colors in the daylight. They have great availability for arranging delivery, and it's very reasonable. Another quick side note that just made me pleased to shop here: A gentleman came in while I was there looking for office chairs, and while it's not a product they sell, Brandy still gave him recommendations and advice on where to go for a good selection. Finally, the atmosphere among the people working there was exactly what you'd hope for. It's not a team of salespeople competing against each other for a sale, it's people that seemed to genuinely enjoy each other's company, chatting about life outside of work, what you'd hope for in a work environment. Highly recommend Brandy and the team at Furniture World!

The wood for dining tables, coffee tables, headboards, etc is all REAL wood which is hard to find these days. And there is a GREAT selection. The furniture they carry is all classic. It will still look good in 20 years. After 20 years of having the dining table we bought there, even though it looks amazing still and never had any issues, we went back to get another one for a refresh. We were lucky in getting to work with Phillip who very sincerely friendly and happy to help. He also was there when we needed him, but also kept his distance when appropriate to let us talk and look at products. His product knowledge was very good and if there was a question he wasn't 100% on the answer (once maybe?), he went and verified which is very appreciated. Most people these days would just say what they know as the truth rather than doing the double-check in this situation. He wanted to make sure we got what we wanted / needed. He wasn't pushy or rushing us like many sales people do. They should clone him :) When we need another piece, we will be sure to keep going back to Underhill's and will request Phillip:)

I love HomeGoods and shop at many of their locations often. I was at H-mart across the street and was delighted to see a HomeGoods across the street. I decided to go in but quickly regretted it. One of the first problems with this location is that they are overrun with inventory. This isn't a large store, so I don't know why they have so much stuff. There isn't enough space in the store to display it all in a safe and neat manner. I used to work retail many moons ago, so seeing unpacked boxes hanging out on the floor, as well as a wall of unpacked cardboard boxes in the lighting section, tells me that their back storage area must also be full. There were also about 5-6 tables outside of the store with tons of stuff on them, all clearance that they were trying to get rid of. The store looks sloppy and unprofessional. It's like the manager and the staff just to give a damn. The shelves are also a mess and the merchandise was sloppily hanging on the shelves. There was one aisle that had pillows on the floor. There were so many that they were blocking the way. You couldn't get through without stepping on them or tripping. Are they trying to get sued??? Honestly, there was just shit everywhere in and out of boxes. Even if this was just a bad and busy day, I will never come back. The location in Queen Anne on Armory is much nicer and better run. If you want a nice shopping experience where you aren't at risk of injury due to store items on the floor, don't shop here.

In long We need a better recliner for my lovely bride, and maybe a better bed. She's dealing with pain and immobility since her stroke last year, so these are big necessities. We've checked a couple other places, and the chair she likes here has all the same features and comfort but costs 30-50% less than the other stores. The adjustable bed is crazy expensive, but probably is anywhere. The showroom here is huge, and they have filled it well. It's a bit scattered in terms of where each type of furniture is, but it looks nice. The salespeople here are pleasant, and they can answer every question without having to run to the back over and over. That's a plus. They carry tablets to run numbers and look stuff up. The big downside is that they clearly train everybody up to never leave a second of air in the conversation. They never, ever stop talking, even if you're trying to talk amongst yourselves for a second or need a second to think or whatever. I suppose it could be worse, but not all of us need that kind of handling. Still, I'll take a well-trained staff and better prices over a calmer conversation. We'll be paying for this stuff for a while, but we need to be in the store for less than an hour out of our lives.
