I haven't been inside the store for months but I've been using Shipt and have been getting almost everything I need on my delivery list. Sometimes they're out of a particular item but that's understandable considering the circumstances. I think we need to go easy on all the staff and lack of stock-- if you're complaining about stuff low in stock like ice cream flavors, or that hours are cut and open early for the elderly, then you're just privileged and out of touch/in denial with the reality we're in. Not super pleased with this location. I was called by a potential employer Tuesday evening, and asked to attend a job interview the following day at noon. Completely freaked out because I've been a stay-at-home mom for six and a half years and had NOTHING to wear... so after searching for the Nearest Kohls or TJ Maxx (both 12+ miles away) I went into panic mode and opened my Target app. I managed to find and order a blazer, some dress pants (had to go one size up because they were out of stock of like five different sizes), and two shirts. Mind you I submitted my order at 9:05pm, and all the things I ordered were listed as being "In Stock". Fast forward to the following morning, the store opens at 8am, I gave them 20 minutes to get their day going, and then called to politely ask when I can expect my order to be ready. The first woman I spoke to was friendly and seemed empathetic to my situation, knowing my job interview was only 3 1/2 hours away. She asked if I had my order number, and when I told her I did she transferred me to someone who could look it up. This is when things became disappointing. The guy who answered the phone had a very nonchalant attitude about my situation, informed me that it doesn't matter when I submitted my order, there was no way he could "look it up", and said they have two hours to get my stuff ready. Now, I understand this is their policy/procedure- but WOW was I surprised by his lack of interest in doing ANYTHING to help me out. I managed to receive my order about an hour later, and BOTH shirts were missing, as they had become out of stock overnight. Frustrating. Besides this experience, this store is overall underwhelming, frequently out of stock of a variety of items, and don't get me started on the day-to-day clothing styles they offer. If you aren't a size small, crop-top-wearing 21 year-old, good luck finding anything to wear besides an XL prairie dress or something from their maternity collection. I do not frequent this location (or any other) because over the years, Target has raised their prices as if they were a trendy boutique shop, and I'm not about it. Target has been an absolute dream for me since corona. My husband and I have been staying at home since march due to covid and my twin pregnancy and after giving birth to keep our family safe and healthy. The drive up option for pickup has been so amazing, I just use the app order what I need they get the order ready within 4 hours and all you have to do is park in the designated spot let them know you have arrived through the app and they put your order in your trunk so there's no contact. I really love this target. I can tell that the employees work hard to make it asthetically pleasing. It's well organized, clean and polished 90% of the time. The other 10% percent I'm guessing they are putting away new shipments or cleaning up after messy shoppers. They have never been low on stock in my experience such as the el camino real location. I can always find what I need right away. This target is super handicap accessible. The staff are highly attendant to the self check out and and always ask if you need help bagging. If the line is more than 2 people a cashier will help you right away. As an institution, target has really stepped up their game and they have really cute sfuffm I hope things stay good here. read more

I went to Target around 4:00 on Friday to get a new bathing suit.. it was pretty hard to look because whenever I would take one off the rack, 5 others would fall on the ground. I felt like I was making more of a mess, which became frustrating. I tried on a couple bathing suites in a disgusting dressing room with clothes everywhere and was even more frustrated. I thought to myself I would come back on Saturday morning when I know the bathing suit section would be tidy and organized and the dressing rooms would be cleaned out. When I got there on Saturday morning, to my surprise the bathing suit section was in the same condition as the day before. I needed a bathing suit so I said screw it, and kept looking. When I got to the dressing rooms I was shocked to see a larger mess than the day before. There are only a few dressing rooms and they were either being used, or messy. Honestly, this target was a big let down. Another thing I noticed at this target are the employees, they may say hi to you in between their personal, non work related conversations, but there are always two employees for every one job. I don't think it's necessary to have two employees pretending to organize clothes on the same small rack. Or chatting away at self checkout, when I'm trying to get one of their attention to get a bag. I wonder who the manager is and if the manager is ever around managing. There needs to be some serious direction given to the employees and standards set for how the store should look at closing, even if that means staying a little longer to clean up. I would like to see the employees working independently and as a team to make the store a cleaner and tidier environment and as far as work strategy goes, it doesn't take two people to do one job. Disappointing that Target wasn't willing to help us, help the community. I'm from a local childcare center providing services to our essential workers in in the community. We went to Target for help in buying hand sanitizer, we weren't trying to buy a huge quantity just 4-6. Unfortunately we were told they couldn't help us. (PIN 20-08-CCLD Look it up) I came in with a letter from the State of California Health and Human service agency (Department of Social Service) asking us as providers to reach out to stores requesting they assist us. We were not asking a for a donation, we were going to pay for items purchased. Shame they were willing to help. It should be all us of working together to help ensure that we can keep all essential workers at work, so they can keep us all safe! But in order to do that we have to have the supplies to keep the children and staff here safe too. read more

I'm glad to finally have Target nearby and convenient. It's a smaller Target (thus the lowercase lettering on the sign) but usually have most of the groceries and things that I need. My only gripe is why is this place so poorly stocked??? I get that it's smaller and wouldn't have as many items as the bigger targets, but I'm talking about why does almost every aisle have tons of empty hooks and empty shelves? Like many times full areas of nothing but empty hooks. It almost looks like you guys are going out of business....which I hope not because this store just opened around Thanksgiving. I still feel like I'm walking through what used to be Kmart whenever I peruse the aisles here! Can't seem to shake that feeling! This Target location is fairly new but it is also well-organized. The aisles are kept free and clear of any hazards for foot traffic, and staff members keep the shelves stocked and replenished with items available for customers to purchase throughout the day. There is an emphasis on customer service at this location and it shows- I have yet to encounter any staff member who is hesitant to assist you by way of helping you locate an item or opening up a register to alleviate the line of customers waiting to check-out. It's conveniently located across the highway from another retail competitor that I would rather not support so, it's always nice to see that the parking lot here fills up. read more

I just moved to the area recently and was very happy to see a familiar store I could shop at. It's a newer looking store and always seems clean. The main reason for this review is for the man that helped me in the electronic department the other day. I was in need for a new printer. Unfortunately with the pandemic happening there is a high demand for printers and they were sold out. The man was super nice and helped me find a printer at another target and even called to check if they had it. I visit Target a couple times a week to get things here and there. First and foremost, before Target came to this location (back in the day it used to be a K-Mart which I did not like) I used to go to Wal-Mart for random quick trips. Since Wal-Mart has implemented their "Must check receipt upon exit" I stopped patronizing that business. Point blank, the ambience is just not that of Target. This store in particular is VERY clean, organized, and for the most part well-stocked. Except the toy dept... not sure what is going on as of July 29 ,2021 as I write this. When it comes to any other merchandise, it is well stocked and great pricing! The employees are friendly and helpful if I approach them with questions. I try to look at the Target circle ad for deals and sometimes I do score great deals. Also, their clearance section is on point! I have scored tremendous savings on a couple clearance items that are marked a certain price, then get to the register and they ring up at a much lower price than the sticker! So when you visit target, try to look at the clearance and if you like something it may ring up lower at the register! =) read more

So glad they put a target in the valley of Oceanside. It's more on the medium size of a target but seems that have most everything that other targets carry. Staff is fairly friendly for the most part. It's pretty nice that they also have a Starbucks and large area to sit and drink coffee or do work. They have a very good sized grocery selection which is nice when you are looking for a quick on the go snack. Lines are never too long and they always have plenty of employees working. My only gripe would be with keeping certain things in stock. Seems that I always go in to look for the things they happen to be out of. The clothing section is always out of the most common sizes like large or medium and is flooded with smalls and double XXL, figured they would have gotten that under control by now but it's been several months to no avail. I've been waiting to see how this Target would end up and I'd say I'm satisfied with the outcome. My only gripe is the floors and it's been a common thought among reviewers/customers. It definitely does have a hip/modern vibe but I understand the compact style due to KMart's initial space, though it seemed a lot bigger back then. A bit disappointed that there's no food/cafeteria area like the Target on El Camino Real but other food options in Mission Marketplace were probably meant to suffice. This is one of my new favorite places to shop in the neighborhood. There is an ample parking lot and the location is surrounded by nice restaurants. The place is clean, organized and neat. I hope they will immediately replenish the stocks that are consumed during the day; some stalls are empty by mid-day and afternoon or evening shoppers like me sometimes can't find already what we are looking for. The staff are so helpful and attentive, especially the cashiers. I appreciate one of their staff helping me carry my groceries to my car. read more

i signed up for a baby registry online, it showed to go to any target and if available they will have a free welcome baby gift. i went to this store, to customer service around 2pm. guy and girl were there, i asked the guy had no idea what i was asking he then turns to the girl and asks and she just gave an attitude and said no. I was excited to hear that a new Target was coming down the road from my house and that I wouldn't have to battle El Camino Real to get to it. Unfortunately, this Target is the worst I've been to. The inventory is low, the shelves are always empty and the layout kind of sucks. It kind of reminds me of like a Target clearance center without the clearance prices.
