I had an appointment last week, the Dr was great. The lady who helped me check out with my glasses was also great. I was told 3-4 days for contact samples as they did not have my suggested prescription to sample. I am unable to purchase contacts yet, as I have not even tried them. The ones the doctor sent me home with to try were similar only and they are not working. I called today, lady who answered was very out off and clearly was annoyed that I needed help. Then after her sigh, she tells me 7-14 days for samples. Clearly not what I was told the day I was there. I will not ever go back! And this is unfortunate as this doctor was good. What another great experience here at target optical!!! Leslie is always a pleasure to deal With on the phone or in person and this was our first time meeting Rhonda she was fabulous as well. I don't wear contacts never have but my son is ready to make the switch over to contacts. Rhonda was so patient with him on coaching him the tricks of the trade and answered any questions he or I had. Rhonda was so patient with my son too!!!!! As a parent it was so nice to have someone answer even the silliest of questions and she really eased all my worries about him being able to successfully execute the whole contact process. Dr Riley is always great we have been going to him for well over three years now and we will continue too. read more

First off Dr Riley was fantastic. Very friendly, patient and thorough with my exam. However the office manager has no customer service skills whatsoever. I made my appointment with this office and got quotes in and out of network costs for exam and contact fitting. A very nice girl wrote them for me on a sticky note. When I came in for my exam today I realized I forgot the sticky note at home and none of my info was out into the computer so I knew I would have issues right off the bat. I mentioned to the manager I got a quote but left it at home. She completely ignored me until I asked her if she caught that. She then replied yes she did. I got my benefits ran while I was already being seen so when I got done and came out she tells me $75. I told her the quote I got was $46 and some change plus the $20 if I did the retinal scan which I did. All in all she accepted the $66 and said she'd cover the $9 (whatever the hell that means). I hate surprises and it was careless benefit running on their part. I don't care what the difference is between my first quote and my last the number should never change. Prime example of "Arizona Stupid". The strongest stupid there is. There was a woman in there looking at glasses. She was there long before I went in and she had no mask on. I always wear a mask. She was right in front of the counter where the only (and slow as molasses) rep was checking someone out. "Maskless" moved and I went to where she had been. Customer Service is incredible here. Rhonda Proctor was awesome. Her professionalism, knowledge and patience was obvious. I am grateful for Rhonda. I damaged my reading glasses at work last week. First, she helped fixed my broken pair! Then she set me up with a couple of back up glasses. How awesome! I saved so much money not going to one of those giant optical stores. Just had pizza wen my family at target. The baby toy selection isn't as big as I'd like but what really do babies play with. The store was clean and well organized. The optometrist is really good, and I would definitely recommend this optometrist for the exam. Customer service is great. Price for the exam is fairly reasonable, the typical average. Not too high, but it's not the lowest priced either. However the price for lenses and frames was outrageously high. Not only that but the selection of frames was very minuscule. Good place to go to get the eye exam, but go get your lenses and frames elsewhere. read more

Till I came in looking for my son's lost shoes today and Mrs. Kendell decided she wanted to treat me like I was talking to the air when I ask about the shoe. She never anoladged me then told another associate I may need some help. Well what great customer service Mrs. Kendell I think you need a meeting on proper treatment of customers. I left very unique happy and called back hours later and they did have my son's shoes. She was there then also and was rude to the associate helping look in lost and found . Watch out for serious price gouging. They like to convince you why the most expensive lenses are your only option. Come to find out after shopping around they were simply going for the greatest payout & the lenses 100% covered by my ins were great. I wish I could give them 0 stars!! I went to the optical office in Queen Creek. The staff was rude, and the dr was just ok. I definitely won't be returning though! I had called to get my contact prescription and the girl on the phone told me that they wouldn't give it to me until I came in for the dr to check them on my eyes. I had previously called and told them that the contacts fit was good. But now they won't "release" my prescription until I come in to finalize it. I've been wearing contacts since I was 10 and I'm now in my late 30s so I've been wearing them a long time! I have never had any optical place hold my prescription hostage until I came in and paid them more money. I wanted to get my prescription so I could order my contacts online through my insurance and not through them. Do not go here unless you want to shill out a lot of money to just get your prescription! read more

I can't say enough about my experience about the Queen Creek location. The moment you walk in you are welcomed by WONDERFUL and helpful staff. Dr. John Riley is kind & incredibly thorough. I felt like my eye health was his top priority and he had no problem answering my millions of questions. After my check up, the women in the front of the office were SO SO helpful and honest when I asked for opinions and help on frames (they were also hilarious and friendly which made it that much more enjoyable). Dr. Riley is amazing. I have always had a fear of anything going near my eye and I dread going to the eye doctors. He made the whole process very easy for me and took the time to ease my worries. Very knowledgeable, patient, and personable. My dog chewed up my glasses and I have very poor eyesight and told him I needed something in the mean time before my glasses come in, but very hesitant to get contacts. I've tried them before but it was a horrible experience. His staff was so patient in understanding my fears and walked me step by step in how to put in the contacts and how to take them out. Needless to say, I am calling them today to cancel my second pair and getting contacts! read more

Called to make an appointment and seemed like they were distracted, even though it's obviously an answering service. They called me later to check insurance prior to the appointment. When I arrived, they started verifying the insurance and after waiting another 25 minutes, they said that the insurance would not cover the exam. Fine, but why did you ask for the insurance days before, just to make me wait at the appointment? We left and went to Experts on Sight. Much better experience there. read more

I really liked Dr. Riley. He was very thorough and explained everything. However, my appointment was at 1:00pm. I was told to come in 10 min early for paperwork, which I did. I did not get in to see the doctor until about 2:15. I almost walked out. I don't mind if they are 15 or 20 min behind, but this is way too much. On top of that the ladies working there don't even tell you they are that much behind and they are extremely rude, as if you are bothering them if you ask a question. At least you could go walk around the store to kill time if you knew. read more

Was the only wholesale option I had with my insurance. Front staff was friendly and doctor was nice enough. However they called my work phone to try to get me to pay for soemthign i had already called and paid for over the phone or so i assumed they had run my card for. A letter would have surved the purpose or a call to my personal cell , but calling my work phone was not apporpriate. Its scary to wonder what they did with my card number the first time i gave it to them. I will not be returning to this location. Also frame selection seems over priced even with insurance and the selection fo frames seemed to lack. read more

I recently walked in to this location to find a pair of glasses for my daughter. The employee directed me to what was available for her age when I asked. When we found a pair, I walked over and stated that we were ready to checkout. The man looked up from what he was doing but literally said nothing. After an awkward pause I asked if they are still open and if he could help us and he said no. I'm not upset that they were closed but by the fact that he didn't mention anything when we started looking or when I told him we were done. Have never experienced anything quite like it. Will not be returning to this location and may seek out an entirely different eyeglass store based on this experience. read more
