I would like to share my experience with Queen Creek Eye care on May 14th, 2026. I had been a customer of theirs's a few years ago when I needed an eye exam. I was very pleased with the customer service and friendly demeanor. Last week I had my favorite pair of Ray Ban Aviator sunglasses that I had left on my armrest in my car. Unfortunately, the next time I entered my car, I sat quickly on my seat while leveraging my right arm on the armrest. That was the moment I bent the frame of the sunglasses! I tried re-bending the frame and I made it worse. I decided to contact Queen Creek Eye care and asked if they could see me and my bent sunglasses. They said to come on in and let's see what they could do. The receptionist was very courteous and said she would make the Optician aware of my issue. Within a short period of time I was greeted by Alexa with a smile and her promise that she would repair my sunglasses. No more than 5 minutes went by and she reappeared with my favorite Ray Bans and asked me to try them on. They were better than new! They fit me perfectly and I was super impressed with her customer service and expertise. There was NO cost for this service. I cannot remember the last time I received service without a charge. Faulty lens became foggy after a year in the left lense. Wanted me to spend more money on a eye exam before they could help me. I just want new lenses I would pay for it. Sorry we can't help you with out new eye exam. Crappy product no customer satisfaction. Pick another eye glass provider. I left a message of why I wanted to come in. They called me back and said if I just wanted new lenses just walk in and they would order me new ones but when I got there they changed their story to I would need to get a new prescription. If I could give zero stars, I would! I used to go to Queen Creek Eye Care every year, until they started doing scammy things with the insurance and billing. Against my better judgment, after not going there for the last three years, I went in with an appointment for a contact eye exam today, and to order some contact lenses. As I was leaving the office, they told me there is no co-pay for your contact exam however you owe us $50 for your eyeglass exam. I said I did not ask for an eyeglass exam, I don't even wear eyeglasses. My appointment was for a contact exam and to order contacts. I was told to get a contact lens exam it was required to do an eyeglass exam and charged me for something I did not request. They will also be charging my insurance company. This is fraud! Now, let's go back to the last time I visited Queen Creek Eye Care, which was approximately three years ago. I did get eyeglasses on that visit, And my insurance covers both anti-scratch and anti-glare coatings. To my surprise, when I went to pick up my glasses, they told me I owed all this money for these protective coatings. I said no, my insurance covers it, and it always had covered it in the past for my Thai scratch and antiglare coatings. I was in told by the incompetent female that was there when I picked up the glasses, that they had given me some upgraded anti-glare coating that had a purple rainbow tint to it ! I told them I did not ask for any upgraded coatings, and I only asked for the things that my insurance covered! I refused to take the glasses and pay the extra money for things I did not request. The incompetent female then tells me well if we go through your insurance company and get the anti-glare protection that they cover, we have to send it to their lab, and it will take you another two weeks or longer to get your glasses back! My response was OK so send them there. Why are you trying to charge me for something I didn't order. This, and my experience today, they charge me for an eyeglasses exam that I did not even want because I don't wear eyeglasses. I just made the appointment for the contact exam. So my last two experiences with queen creek eye care, they tried to scam me both times! I will be calling my insurance company and letting them know that they are billing them for services that we're not requested by me, and in my opinion that is insurance fraud. Queen Creek Eye Care has gotten really bad about their dishonest tactics. The one and ONLY good thing that I can say about this place is that all of the eye doctors themselves are awesome and they all do phenomenal Jobs. The problem is with all these incompetent teenagers that they hire to do everything else in that office. During my appointment today for the contact exam, I had brought back my Gucci eyeglasses that I had gotten there at the previous appointment a couple of years ago that had never been adjusted and l continuously fell off my face. Those glasses were brand new , and I had never been able to wear them. so I brought them in today to have them properly adjusted so I can finally wear them. I asked Mary To do my adjustment on my frames so I can finally wear those glasses, and she pond me off on one of the teenager staffers instead. The girl brings my frames back out after only being gone like 2 minutes and hand them to me. I try them on and they're still falling off my face. I told the girl they weren't any different then when I brought them in today, and they were still too loose. Her response to me was oh well that's all we can do for an adjustment without taking the lenses out. She then handed them back to me. I took a look at them, and immediately realize that she didn't even attempt to adjust them at all, and they were exactly the same as before. So not only are these people incompetent, they are absolutely 100% lazy and don't want to do their jobs. These young girls sit out front in the office constantly playing on there cellphones, which is a really bad look in front of the customers. To say I'm angry as an understatement! Do yourself a favor and listen to a longtime customer like myself and go elsewhere. You will get much better service! I will never go to QC Eye care, ever again! Whoever owns this business needs to wise up, and pay attention to what their employees are doing, before they run your business in to the ground! read more

Courteous receptionist and sales staff helped me select new frames, and assisted me in ordering new lenses for a pair of old classic Ray Ban frames that are my favorites. Very pleased with all interaction here, and attention to detail adjusting new glasses to fit my somewhat crooked face. Great service, very nice frames, and I'm now back 20/20. read more

I paid a visit to Queen Creek Eye care today for my yearly eye exam. I had LASIK surgery on my eyes 20 years ago, so the health of my peepers is very important to me. Upon entering, I was greeted with smiles from the front office staff - everyone was very friendly and welcoming. After filling out some paperwork, I was taken back to have a multitude of tests performed on my eyes. Along with taking detailed photos of my eyes, they checked my peripheral visIon and my eye pressure as well. They do NOT use the device that shoots little puffs of air into your eyes, thank goodness! My actual exam was performed by Dr. Darren Elg. He is friendly, and very down to earth. It was a pleasure speaking to him - he was very reassuring, and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend him - a kinder, more gentile doctor you will not meet! I recently moved to the Queen Creek area and wanted to establish a network of doctors across the board, including an optometrist. The Medical Center of Queen Creek is only 2 miles from me & happens to be where a majority of my doctors and specialists are. It is so convenient. When I called Queen Creek Eye Care, I was able to schedule an appointment about 3 weeks out. Upon arrival, parking was easy to find in the large plaza area, just make sure you know the suite # or it can become a maze! It only took about 5 minutes to fill out initial paperwork. Melissa, the assistant ran some preliminary tests with me before I saw the doctor. Dr Elg was super nice and let me know he didn't have any concerns after my eye exam. He gave me a few tips and recommendations to not strain my eyes while I work from home, spending countless hours on the computer. He told me to come back in a year. My co pay was $10 and I was in and out in less than an hour. Convenient and pleasant! read more

I would give a 4 star bec the optometrist actually pretty good but this one staff (Sara) did it for me. First time I was there she already unhelpful and short with me so I didn't ordered my glasses bec of that. Went back a week later hoping to have someone else help me but unfortunately with my luck she was the one that wasn't doing anything again(she's always the one that aren't busy in that office for some reason.) so I ask for her help and she was kinda rude and seems like unhelpful as usual so I walked out. It's been a few months since I went in but just received a follow up call so I figured I'd write this review. Dr. Elg is nothing shy of amazing! And end to end this was a smooth process. I had an incident which required my eyes to be check as soon as possible. I was scheduled for the next day. The young lady at the front desk seemed overwhelmed by the number of people who walked in at the same time but did a great job of being kind, quick and helpful. I ordered a pair of replacement glasses for a pair I had lost. I was told it would be roughly two weeks which was in line with the pair I had purchased from them originally, two weeks go by and I am told it will be an extra week that week goes by and still no glasses today is over a month and when I called they said even though they cant credit me back for the glasses they were unable to produce but they would offer me a $150.00 credit for my next visit. I am now out over 600.00 and need to get a same day pair like I should have in the first place. read more

So, I have never just been handed a dirty pair of glasses when I went to pick up my new glasses. I also have never had to take my glasses elsewhere to have them adjusted because the employee who handed me the new prescription was so uninvolved in her job. I was in need of a new pair of glasses because I had broken my old pair. After getting an RX I had to wait a couple more weeks for the new glasses to come in. I was quoted $400 for the glasses. I told them that was more than I wanted to pay but was told they would check with my insurance company so it would probably be less out of pocket for me. When I finally came in to pick up the glasses they showed me an invoice with a $1200 total price but the insurance company was going to pay $800. I also was told that my share of that price would still be $400. Because I needed the glasses I went ahead and paid it because I couldn't wait another two weeks for another company to make a new pair. Basically, I think this company practices a form of "bait and switch" by telling the customer that their glasses are going to cost "X amount" and then they find out how much extra your insurance company will pay and then bill them that extra amount. There is no way anyone would pay $1200 for a pair of glasses, no matter what options you order with them. I will never do business with them again. read more

This place has gone through some changes, and I like it. Some front desk ladies were not very nice previously, but today changed that. I was greeted by a very young polite person running the front desk. Things seemed to run much smoothly than before. This was my second visit to Queen Creek Eye Care. They have two doctors on staff. I saw one last year and one this year. Both were good. The visit started with one of the staff performing the basic tests. Afterward, the doctor finished the exam. In each instance it was smooth and quick. This year I decided I wanted to try contacts for the first time. I have always been nervous with things near my eyes and have been reluctant to try contacts. The doctor put both contacts in my eyes while in the exam room and told me one of the ladies in the office would show me how to take them out and insert them again. It looked very easy when they did it, and the commercial playing in the background also told how easy it was. Needless to say, I was there three hours attempting to take them out and put them back in again. Brenda and Mary in the office were very friendly and extremely patient with me. Although I was frustrated it wasn't going as smoothly as I wanted, both ladies were encouraging and made it easier. read more

Love this place...for several reasons: Excellent customer care, professional service and atmosphere. Every detail speaks to the level of thought and care put in to provide a great customer experience. The staff is always friendly and professional. Phone is answered and calls returned promptly. Availability of appointments and attention to walk-ins is great. I also enjoy the proximity of the office to our residence within La Sentiero subdivision. The place is beautiful and super clean. Plenty of comfortable seating, and even a small play area for the kids. On several occasions I walked-in for minor tweaks to my frames and some eye measurements for the lab doing my lenses and these "extras" were readily extended to me on the spot and at no cost. I was there today for my yearly exam for my Paragon CRT lenses. While I waited for my appointment, I started browsing the sunglasses. The staff person who assisted me was very friendly and helpful. I was called for my appointment almost immediately, so the person helping me with sunglasses left the glasses I was considering set aside for me for when I was done. After my eye exam, we picked up where I left off, and she helped me choose from several pairs I was considering. I appreciated her helpful input, as choosing sunglasses is hard when there are tons of choices. The person who did my initial eye exam was thorough, and explained each and every step in the process and explained what would happen with each machine she used. She also was very knowledgable and personable. She seemed to take her time with me, and I didn't feel rushed at all. I then met with Dr. Elg. I loved his friendly and professional demeanor. He asked me about any current problems I may be experiencing with my eyes, and then proceeded to give me a complete and thorough exam. With the lenses that I wear (corneal refractive therapy lenses that you wear only while sleeping), the exam is more in depth and has multiple steps. Dr. Elg explained that my vision hadn't changed since my last visit and then took a look at my current lenses. He said they were still in great shape and said that unless I wanted to order a new pair, they could just keep my prescription on hand until I needed them. I opted to purchase another pair, as my prior experience shows that I tend to lose a contact during the least opportune times, and now I will have an extra set. The fees that they charge compared to what other facilities charge for this type of contact lens is minimal. I'm so impressed. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I'm giving two stars because I did get what I came for - new glasses that I can see out of. It's just that (like in so many places in the East Valley), customer service is sorely lacking. When my appointment started, it was with a stiletto wearing, Bronx (?) accented, borderline rude woman who took me into an exam room and started doing tests and looking at my current glasses. She was so abrupt that it was difficult to understand her directions. There was never an introduction or information as to what her role in the process was. She then took me to see Dr Elg. He was nice enough and did a thorough exam. This part of the appointment went OK. I was then handed back to east coast stiletto woman for another part of the exam. Lastly, I was taken to another woman who assisted me in selecting frames and measuring for the new glasses. This person was extremely helpful in soliciting my input on what I wanted and selecting frames that suited me. Like I said, I got what I came for. However, there were WAAAAAAY to many hand-offs with people whose role in the process was unclear and without any introduction or information. read more

I first went to see Dr. Elg when I had some broken porcelain in my eye for some emergency eye care. I was so impressed with the office environment that I set up an appointment for my biannual eye exam and new glasses. I'm so glad I did. For the FIRST TIME every I had a very clear, concise and informative discussion about an eye issue I've had all my life. Dr. Elg, D.O. was very attentive to my questions and actually made the visit enjoyable. He's my new (and much improved) optometrist. I also can't leave this review without a shout-out to Shannen. After my exam with Dr. Elg, Shannen helped me select glasses and offered advice on best frames and solutions to my needs. I asked her a lot of questions and working with her was such a delight. The entire experience at Dr. Elg's practice was first class. My glasses broke that i had bought somewhere else but that didnt matter at all. His staff helped me get them repaired just as if i had purchased the glasses from them. My daughter was in for an exam and i had some questions about my own eyes and he took quite a bit of time for me even though im certain i was knocking him off schedule a bit and never made me feel hurried. Friendly and efficient. The first woman who brought me back for the initial tests seemed a little stressed but lightened up when we started chatting. I found it interesting that you can not get drops to dilate your eyes if you are breast feeding and very much appreciated that she took the time to ask. Wow! My experience at Queen Creek Eye Care was the most thorough exam I've ever had. My past experience has been with chain stores and well lets just say you get what you pay for. My insurance was in network at this office and I could not be more happy with the care. Extremely warm staff, large selection of frames for all ages and the expericene of the Doctor put me at ease. My family history of eye health problems is extensive and I had the pleasure of seeing both Dr Elg and Dr Reed one for a medical problem on one occasion and the other for a complete eye exam. Ive never been able to wear cl's after trying for 14yrs. Dr Elg found the perfect prescription for me. I am so happy. And for back up I found beautiful Gucci frames. The most expensive I ever had to paid even with my VSP plan. Original the girl try to sell me 1 pair of glass and my old glass. Came out to be $900s plus. I said that's too much. She said, don't look at the screen because before my insurance apply to it. It was $1700. I said no. She changes with my old glass with new lens came out over $425. Two weeks later, still waiting on my glass. I decided to stop by, one of the guy said. Oh you glass came 3 days ago and you on my list to call. I ordered 6 months of contacts and still costing me $198. A week later and I'm still waiting on my contacts. I will not going back to this place in my lifetime! The staffs are not nice and trying to make the commission out of it. I DO NOT recommend anyone. A ripped off!!!!!! The Kylie was nice. read more

If I could rate this business ZERO stars I would, but unfortunately this is not an option. Never ever will I recommend Queen Creek Eye Care to ANYONE! Horrible experience today! First off, I've been waiting for this appointment for about 3 weeks because they were booked (which was fine, I was willing to wait, but now I NEED to get in), I need the exam to get contacts, so time is a bit of an issue, since I had to wait the 3 weeks. I'm cash paying (no insurance for vision), so when I called for prices I specifically asked if they charged extra for a contacts exam and/or an astigmatism, since I had called 3-4 other places to price around in the area. They said no, just the $96. So, called around to a few other places on my "list". It was between QC Eye Care and Oasis Eye Care in Costco, QC was $1 more, closer, so decided to go to QC eye care. Called back, checked AGAIN to make sure that there was no additional charge for a contacts exam and/or an astigmatism, girl said no again, the $96 included everything but the actual contacts and/or glasses. So, I made the appointment, and waited 3 weeks. I have now taken off work this afternoon, and go in today, I was 7 minutes late because of the traffic at QC High School and the rain, and an accident at QC High School, they got horribly huffy and were extremely rude about being 7 minutes late. Secondly the girl takes me back, she herself is dressed like a hooker IMO (just very unprofessional office overall, from the way they acted to the clothes some were wearing), in stiletto high heels, extremely tight pants, and very rude. She asks if I wear contacts, told her yes, she then informs me it is an additional $50 charge for the contact exam...WHAT??? I explained I had asked multiple times and was told no, even had the girl's name I spoke to. She went and spoke with the office manager and came back and said the office manager said the fee stands, there is nothing they can do. Really? Again, I explained I had asked, their employee told me no, I had taken off work to go and waited 3 weeks for this appointment, and now really need to renew my contacts RX, nope didn't care. The fee stands and "there's nothing we can do"...yes there is, you stand behind your employees, waive the fee, and deal with the employee later. I told her that's fine, then I'm leaving and taking my business elsewhere. I left. I called Costco and they got me in TONIGHT and it's $95 for the contact exam, with no additional $50 fee. So Queen Creek Eye Care can go pound sand. Extremely extremely unhappy with them. The docs may be fine, I have no idea, I never made it that far, but the office staff is rude, un-knowledgable, extremely unprofessional, and it's very obvious that customer service is at the bottom of their priority pole. I will never return here, and will continue to go to Oasis Eye Care inside of the Mesa Costco, where I went last year and had no issues whatsoever. read more

Created a yelp account just to leave them a review. I had some rusting metal in my eye for a couple days so I decided to make the long drive to have them check it out. I walked in with no appointment and they and me seeing Dr Elge within 5 minutes and had the metal out of my eye and me out the door within another 15 minutes. My eye was sore the rest of the day but the next day it was about 90% better. Wonderful place. Wonderful staff. Will continue to make the drive if I ever need to again. read more

This office has been the best office I've been to by far. The staff is very friendly, and the Doctors are thorough and always willing to answer any questions. I have a hard time picking out frames and the girls who work here are always willing to take extra time in helping me. They are really good at explaining my benefits and help me figure out whether contacts or glasses would be cheaper with my insurance and how to keep my out of pocket cost as low as possible.
