Although the store is being remodeled in the center of it, it was very clean and tidy. The cashier was courteous and friendly when attending me. I asked another employee for help in the food section and she gave me the correct information and was also kind. I needed uncooked frozen shrimp, without intestines and peeled and I found them. Despite the poor ratings, I actually really like this target. I'm not a frequent target shopper so I always get a little lost in. The staff is always so helpful and trying to get me to where I need to go in the store. I feel it is well organized and the flow simply just makes sense. read more

I have never liked this store but today I like it even less! They refuse to honor an online app price because it was not what showed up in their system. That's not how retail works. If the price is in your own app that's the price you give the customer! Instead they argued that that was not the price they see on their end and that it must be just my phone's price. Indeed they were told they sucked! Absolutely the furthest thing from customer focus. Dear retail in 2026... if your store app gives a price, that's the price you give the customer! Also, you price match so the fact that you won't even price match your own stores price is absolutely absurd and means your employees are not trained well. went to go get a pickup order (after getting an email saying it was ready for pickup). waited in line for 10 minutes while an employee walked around the store getting my items? a pickup order is supposed to be quick- i didn't come to wait for someone else to do something i probably could have done much quicker myself. why even do a pickup to begin with if it's just going to take the same amount of time? also, one of my items was canceled (an owala water bottle). i assumed it was just the color, since many more said in stock on the app. they literally had none on the shelves. not worth getting stuff here! probably would have been more efficient going anywhere else. read more

This Target inside the Bergen Town Center is my go-to Target whenever I need to make a Target run in the middle of the work week. I wouldn't come here on Saturday because it's too busy, and it's closed on Sundays (as most businesses are in Bergen County due to blue laws). The grocery aisles and cold cases are always stocked, and the produce and perishables are good quality. Nice selection of GF and vegan specialty items always available at this location. Also, if you use self-checkout, this store has converted some of the cashier registers into self-checkout stations. So whenever the line starts to get long, staff will open up these stations for customers. Lastly, this place is convenient, there are two entrances - one from the sidewalk and one from within the mall. So you can exit into the mall if you need to stop at one of the other stores quickly. read more

We came to this Target recently for kids' clothes and some groceries, and found everything we were looking for quickly. The clothing sections were larger than the Targets we usually go to, so more options and also more clearance to choose from. It's an older store with only about four self-checkouts, so the process of getting out was a little slower. Parking lot is large, but very crowded, especially on Saturdays, since it's for the whole mall. read more

Located in Paramus, this is a Target with a fairly good amount of stock in cleaners and wipes. They even have gloves and soap in stock. Lines weren't long and an associate helped sanitize and prep carts up front. Was a quick in and out. read more

Do not go here if you are in a rush. I did order pick up twice from this place. First time, long line at the customer service desk. One lady had to wait a while because they couldn't find her items. Thought it could be a mistake. Second time I did order pick up: long line again, only one person at at the register. Then that person couldn't find the order pick up item in the back. Longer line is forming with no one at the register. She calls for back up. Two people come. Now they are standing around chatting and laughing. Seriously? Back room is disorganized af. It's such a shame that Target is not as big as Walmart, because this is how a big box retailer should be run. You get actual customer service at Target. The store is laid out well and organized. The products are a step or two above Walmart. You get great value for your money. The selection is just right. And the kicker, you don't get treated like a criminal every time you try to exit the store (no receipt checker). This Target is located at the Outlets at Bergen Town Center Mall - an "Outlet Mall" with a regular Target. I haven't been inside a Target for several months, but this is the first time I've been to one since Toys R US first announced it's closure and closed finally. Target's toy selection still looks like crap. You'd think someone in their corporate structure would actually think to take advantage of TRU's mistakes and closure and redo the toy section in stock, spacing, and pricing. Jilly Bob was very rude to customers who were coming in to inquire on the purchase of a PS5. Claimed customers were "stressing out" the staff. After a mother was frustrated for target's lack of accuracy with online orders she expressed she wanted this for her 9 year old's Christmas. Jilly then said "your kid needs a $500 gift? There's people dying". Although she isn't wrong, she should keep her opinions to herself. I thought this was rude and unprofessional. This target is a literal mess. It looked like something exploded and moved everything out of place. It's not typical for a target as I usually find that Target is well stocked and clean. I was able to find all my items because the good thing about Target is they are pretty clearly labeled. The self-checkout makes the checkout process quick and easy. I was feeling sluggish when I walked into Target, but by the time I left my system was roaring with adrenaline and cortisol. I went in looking for an electric toothbrush and water flosser and found them. One of the items was even on sale. I also came across a D&D product I'd been waiting for, 'Dragons of Stormwreck Isle". The self-checkout line was practically around the store. The original line I got on had a cashier that treated each item the customer was buying like it had just been removed from the Ark of the Covenant. It was examined, exclaimed over, turned this way and that, discussed with the customer, then finally scanned. The line next to me had two customers, but the cashier was nowhere in sight. After waiting about fifteen minutes with no progress being made on my line, the cashier to the left (Let's call her 'Nancy', because that was her name as read on her upside-down nametag) finally returned from her pilgrimage to commune with the gods of Time & Tedium and I hopped over to her lane. Her item examining skills were on a par with the line I departed from, but I did eventually start to checkout. My D&D product gets scanned, and the register informs her that the item should not be sold until 7/31, which I can see clearly on the screen (it is 7/26 at the time). Time slows to a halt. "I cannot sell you this item until the 31st." she tells me. I stand there motionless. "There is nothing I can do about it!" she says. Then she takes the item and walks away with it. After a brief safari to locate an avatar of the aforementioned gods (supervisor), this new person (sans nametag) tells me "We cannot sell you this item until 7/31. It is 7/26!" as if I had argued the point with the cashier. They wait for a reaction from me. "We have no choice in the matter, it was put out by mistake!" she goes on to say. I stare silently for a few more seconds. "Okay," I finally respond, since that was what was needed before time could resume its flight. She checks out my other items and I leave the store. By the time I left, there were about 10 people behind me, all enraged because I slowed down the already-slow line by attempting to buy something that should not have been available for sale. Conclusion: This store needs to hire more staff and have more lines open. They also need to train their cashiers to move things along and stop chitchatting about purchases. They ALSO need to retrain their stockers not to put out items before their sale date. This process took my entire lunch hour, not counting travel. read more

This target is local to many and in a good area; connected to a mall. The clothing sections is very messy and disorganized. It also doesn't have much in stock. I go there in hopes to finding an outfit or even just a shirt and come out with nothing. Their toy section is also low stock. Do you know why people are flocking to online retailers and why Department stores are closing down all across the country? It goes a little something like this: Me: " I like this table, but there is no price tag on it. Let me ask somebody for assistance". *looks for someone for five minutes and has to flag down assistance* Me: "Hi, I would like information on this table here. It has no price tag, so I don't know what the price is". Sales associate: "Let me get more information for you." *takes the sales rep five full minutes to find the bar code* "The price is 'x'. We don't have it in store, but let me walk you up to customer service where they can order it for you"! Me: "Perfect! Thanks so much!" Customer service : " I don't know why the gentleman told you that we had it online, it says this item is discontinued for online sale". Me: "OK, does that mean that it's also out of stock in stores?" CS: "My system says that there are no stores in New Jersey that have it." Me: "... But you have a floor model". CS: *checks their system again* "Wait, It actually looks like we have three in stock. I will be right back." *seven minutes pass* " our system says we have in stock, but it's not worth supposed to be, so they're gonna try and find it in our store. This could take a while". Me: "Well, can we negotiate the floor model"? CS: "My manager said no, since it is still summer". Me: "No thank you". ---- Moral of the story: I went online to their app where it said they had eight in stock ready to ship. I wasted 20 minutes of my time standing around in the store with no results. To my chagrin, this is not the fault of the CS, just an incompetent company that has hundreds of stores in the US and can't get their systems to accurately reflect facts about product. read more

This target has a really great dollar spot! It's very scattered but it has a lot of great finds. I'm a teacher and always look at this location first when searching for little trinkets for my classroom. Recently went to Target in Paramus for help with my Consumer Cellular flip phone. It was breaking and C.C. had sent me a replacement phone that I needed help with. They contract out to Target for tech support. I had an appointment to do this. The tech on duty was rude, had a total attitude concerning actually helping me, and complained when I asked about moving my contacts from the old phone to the new one. Customer service here? Forget it! There were no customers at the counter and none in electronics section other than the browsers. I really felt shorted and embarrased by his behavior. Thankfuly, when I called customer service at C.C. about my experience they had one of their techs walk and talk me through the process. This Target is like a post apocalyptic wasteland and I avoid it at all costs. After you make it through the chaotic parking lot and walk a mile back to the store, you're greeted with dazed and irritable customers, complacent employees (probably due to self preservation), messy merchandise and long checkout lines. I understand it must be hard to manage a big busy store where they keep costs down but it's not much better than Wal-Mart. If you must, go to the Target in Hackensack. Otherwise, I totally get why retail is dying. read more
