Super unprofessional. In Nov. 2018 I applied for a position with Target. My application was accepted, I received a call and we setup an interview. the day of the interview I show up 10 minutes early. The person behind the desk was confused on who was suppose to give me the interview. I was asked to wait in the employee break room. I wait 25 minutes, then another person comes in and explains the supervisor who is suppose to interview me is busy and can we reschedule. So of course I say sure no problem. I come back two days later, same situation however, after waiting for 20 minutes they finally find a supervisor (Note I am applying for asset protection, and they find a shoe supervisor to do my interview, who knows nothing about the details of the asset protection side of job.) She tells me I am a great applicant and wants to hire me, but all asset protection positions have to do an interview with the regional manager. So I come back for an interview with the regional manager. And of course! the day of the interview she isn't there. So I reschedule AGAIN! Finally have the interview with her, she says she wants to hire me. I leave. Never hear a word. Call and leave messages about the status... nothing! Fast forward from Nov 20ish to January 21st I get a voicemail at 8 am from Shannon telling me I have an interview a 5 pm today? I call her back and after being put on hold 3 times by different people I finally get a hold of her. And then she realizes the note is an old note from back in Nov. and she called and set up the interview on accident. Wow... What a unprofessional organization. I have been in Law Enforcement for over 8 years, Security 5, and Retail manager for 2. And I must say this was just pathetic. You don't even have the professionalism to say sorry, for wasting you time multiple times, nor letting me know if I got the job or not. I use to shop at Target almost every day cause I live across the street. But they lost my business. I guess in order to get hired in the security field their, you need to stand at the front door with saggy pants, shirt not tucked in, and long hair in pony tail, and play on your phone. I'm a huge Target fan. I love going there for one thing and coming out with ten items. So far something has happened in the last six or seven months since I've been going there. The customer service is better, the aisle are a lot more cleaner, and the clothes area isn't cluttered. I received fast service when I went to the photo center and the two cashiers that I dealt with so far have been the nicest guys I have ever encountered in a retail store. read more

If you are avoiding crowds and long lines, I suggest going on a weekday right when they open at 8:30 AM. Parking can also be difficult dependent on what time of the day you go. I had just did a Target run on Saturday, 7/11/15 and they now have installed self checkouts. I didn't try it myself since I had a cart full of items. I have also noticed (from experience), the Dollar Spot items are usually fully stocked on a Monday morning. If you are a Dollar Spot person like I am, I recommend going in the AM (right when they open) during the week. I have noticed that during the weekend, the Dollar Spot bins are usually picked over. There is also a Toys R Us, T-Mobile, Game Stop and Homegoods in this shopping center. In and Out is also located in this shopping center which can backup traffic. read more

What can I say? If you need stuff (and by stuff, I mean general stuff), Target will probably carry it. The only thing that bugs me are the solicitors outside. I rarely carry cash on me, so I can't donate to whatever cause anyway, but dang it... I just want to get to my car without being bothered, ya know? read more

One of the worst targets I have ever been to. I have never left a yelp review but this place pushed me to the edge. I alway like going to target for the great customer service and the cleanliness of their store. This store looked like a tornado hit inside. And the employees don't know anything and every employee is giving me a different story. We don't price match that store. You don't. Then why did one employee just tell me you do. So I was Trying to buy something and every employee is giving me the run around he said this she said this. I can't do this. Their price matching is a joke. It can only be an online price but not an in store price but the online price says it's this price which is the price I would like to match. So if I go to another store that is 20 minutes away I can buy it at the store I'm trying to price match it with. So what is the point of price matching for another store if your making me go to the store I'm originally price matching with. I don't think I'll be going back to this target ever. read more

Long long long lines lately.... when I go to target I low I'm paying a little extra... For that extra $$$ I'm expecting better service... Well, at this target, you're not going to get it!!! I moved a month ago and this was the closest Target around. I'm very disappointed, I went here twice and they never have anything in stock. Like shelves are empty! Why can't these employees stock up...it's like a ghost town up in here. I'd rather travel farther to where I used to live because the target there ALWAYS have everything on shelves like fully loaded. The target managers cant understand how to read a fine print in coupons by manufacturer! They said limit 4 coupons per transaction. Like really? I bought 2 items of tide,pods, and toothpaste. Each fine prints say" limit 2 identical coupons.. 2 each of my items are good to use 2. And the dumb manager goes u can only use total of 4. So ok then i go back to line and use the other for the other transaction and the cashier said u cant do that! And hey this is another transaction! What an idiot people that this pleasanthill have. The worst target I have ever been to. I love target and shop there very regularly... until now. Bare shelves and zero selection.

This is my closest target. It's definitely on the smaller side. It was remodeled less than two years ago so it's definitely one of the cleaner targets. However, they don't always have the selection I need. They have a smaller space so I think it's the best they can do. There is a grocery section here and it does have a decent selection. Three stars for size and selection and parking can definitely be a problem. read more

It's just another target, a decent amount of parking, fairly clean and fairly good prices. It must be an old target because of the layout...The have pretty good variety but not that great. There "foodcourt" area isn't that great either...not even a starbucks. A few items I need to buy, like dog food etc., are surprisingly cheaper here and its so close to DVC and the freeway! This Target is okay, but as some reviewers have stated, it is getting long in the tooth. The only thing that irritates me is the constant solicitation at the front doors....beyond obnoxious and the ETLs in charge do not enforce Target policy in regards to this. For the guests that comment on the long lines there, as a former Target ETL, allow me to let you in on a secret. Hit the cashier at the electronics counter, cosmetic counter, or lawn and garden center. They are required to ring you up and they are hardly ever doing anything. I spend way more money here than I would like to admit. I have a Target addiction, I can't hide it! I love Target. I would say this one is comparable to the one in Pittsburg. The parking lot is laid out okay but still gets busy on the weekends. The only negative thing I will say is that they need more checkers, especially on the weekends! It gets so busy and there will be two check stands open. Whaaaat? Kind of ridiculous. But. Honestly, it's Target. You will always go in for one thing and come out like $150 poorer, regardless. read more

LOVE Target. This one has a great selection of just about everything, good prices and the sales after holidays rock! Especially Halloween and Christmas :) Their only downfall is that it is always so crowded and chaotic and the parking lot is a zoo!! It seems like no matter what time a day or night you go, there are always long lines, mass amounts of people and its also hard to find someone to help you. This Target is not the nice Target that is in Walnut Creek, that is FOR SURE. People are almost always nice and helpful here which is a plus and they return things if you have a receipt. On a whole it is not a pleasant shopping experience. It is barely one step above the grunge you see at Walmart. This is not a Super Target so they do not have so many of the things they have in Walnut Creek, like food. I know, yes, they are putting in fresh grocery... but we will see if it ever comes up to the same standard as the Walnut Creek store. I've learned my leason not to trust Targets online shopping. Many times I've tried searching certain items that states they have them in store. Only to later find out that they don't once I'm there. I've always had great experiences with Walmart and Costco so I don't understand why they always have a problem. Today I decided I would give them another chance by ordering items online for instore pick up. My nephew picked up the items and when I recieve them the items were wrong. I called in to the store to let them know and to reconfirm they have what I was looking for. I was advised that they did not. This Target is filthy, nothing is in it's correct location or it's sold out because they are never on top of their inventory, check out lines are very long and this store is very short staffed. Management? There is none. A bunch of young people are running this store and have no clue what they're doing. They need to be audited really bad. My daughter and I went to Target in Pleasant Hill, CA this morning and were extremely disappointed. This has always been a fun trip for us. We arrived as the store opened.. sent to kid shoe department which was not only very messy but they hardly had any stock. Shelves were disorganized and bare. The service has really gone down in this store. It looks like they are understaffed and/or that the quality of their training/employees has gone down. Literally, the last four times I've been in the store, one or more of the staff has treated me rudely. I actually called and complained, which I've never done before in my life. Maybe my expectations are high because of how good the service used to be... but can you blame me for wanting to be treated with a minimum amount of respect? The store was very busy, I was standing in line, the supervisor checked out 3-4 ppl ahead of me and then just before checking me out (no warning!) pointed to another lane and told me to go there- with rude mannerisms. All lines were long, and the one he pointed me to, was behind a man who had over fifty items. So I said no, flat out. He then scoffed and jumped to the next line to help out another employee for what seemed like forever. And I was needless to say, pretty peeved. He came back with an attitude and I said, you need to work on your communication and customer service skills. He looked about 13 and not supervisory material at all. This is just one instance. Today I came to buy a microwave for my field office and the price tag said $54.99 but the price scanned was $64.99 not big deal. One of the selas associates told me to take the advertised price tag with me to the cashier, so they can adjust the price. Oh, what a mistake. The cashier on the line ripped me a new one for taking the price tag with me. Extremely rude and the manager was even worst. He wanted me to walk the store to show single out who was the sales associate who told me to take the advertise price tag with me, so he can approve the price. When I refused he accused me of bringing an old tag. Who in their right mind would still a tag and bring it a few months later to buy something. My wife seldom shop target, and I never do. When I use to live in the Martine area, I use to come to this target but it was the closest one to me. The target is located right off the freeway, next to Ross and Babies r us. Because there are other stores sharing the same parking lot, it can rather crowded quickly. As far as the store goes, it is your usual target layout and everything is usually organized and well stocked. You can easily find staff members out on the floor which makes for finding help for what you need easy. The last time I was here was over 2 years ago and came to pick up a view things. At the check out lines, there was hardly a wait and the cashiers did a very quick job while ringing people up. Target has an overall good reputation and the service is good and the they carry good products, so I wasn't that this target location would get a good rating. read more

Was able to find a cute purse here for 20% off then an additional $5 off when you spend $25 or more on accessories. I am not rating them higher than three stars though, because I could not find a single plain black belt in a small or x-small. That seems kind of ridiculous that they had nothing and employees were not super friendly about helping me either. read more

Not as nice as the Walnut Creek location but we come here when we are close by. The prices are also lower on a lot of items than the WC store, like toiletries and cleaning supplies. It's messy and can get crowded since it is close by to the mall. read more

I stop at this store all the time to grab a couple of things, because it's right next to the freeway, it's easy to get in and out of quickly. i have always had a love for shopping at target even though it did take over my childhood favorite, GEMCO. i would give 5 stars but it doesn't quite make the cut like other target stores. it's also way too dangerous for me to get anything here because a lil something turns out to be a big something on my credit card. they have everything i need and more of what i don't need but i tend to buy anyway. friendly staff and the shelves are always stocked full of goodness. thank god this place closes at 10pm or I'd be soooo damn broke. they have grocery and everything you would expect from a target store. if they sold jager and cigs i would live there!! lol read more
