Target February 2, 2026 3 stars This Target opened in October 2023 and features a very different layout compared to most other locations. Unfortunately, the design doesn't work very well. Right when you enter, Target Optical is immediately to the left, which feels like an odd placement for something that prominent. After that comes School & Office supplies, followed by Toys as the second department on the left -- a strange flow that feels unintuitive. Electronics is pushed all the way to the back left corner, which is not where most shoppers would expect it. For a newer and larger store, the Toy department is surprisingly small. The collectible section near Electronics (NECA, McFarlane, etc.) was especially disappointing, with very limited selection compared to most Targets. One of the biggest issues is how cramped the aisles are. There's barely enough room for two carts to pass comfortably, which makes shopping feel tight and awkward throughout the store. The exterior design is also unusual. It almost looks like two separate Targets merged into one building, with entrances far on the left and right instead of a more central layout. It's visually confusing and doesn't feel cohesive. There are a few nice touches. The cart return areas have large, well-lit "Thank You" arch signs, which are easy to spot and helpful. However, checkout capacity feels lacking -- despite having many self-checkout kiosks, there are only a handful of traditional registers for a store of this size. Bathroom placement is also inconvenient. They're located along the front wall near the right entrance, next to Customer Service and Starbucks, which feels cramped and awkward. The Starbucks has no seating and seems squeezed into the space rather than intentionally designed. Overall, it's interesting to see Target experimenting with a new store concept, but the execution misses the mark. Cramped aisles, small departments, and an awkward layout make this one of my least favorite Target locations. Value same as any other Target. My husband, brother and myself were heading home from our haircuts and we decided we wanted to stop by and check out the new Target. It's very nice looking on the outside and when you walk in it's definitely an updated look, has a great flow and I will have to learn this new layout compared the one I'm used to going to. They have some pretty good sales going on right now. I love the quality of their clothing and almost always end up leaving with a piece or two. I do like looking at their home goods and my husband loves checking out the toy section. And my brother loves browsing the clothes section. Overall excited to have a new target to pop in every once in a while. Very nice! read more

Target - Department Stores Near Me - Prosper, Texas

Checked out the new-ish Target Prosper location the other day. I went to see if they had a particular video game in stock as I had bought the wrong one for one of my daughter's Christmas gifts. Saw on the Target app that they were in stock so headed over in person. The store itself is pretty big and still has that newer vibe with its layout. I also like how it's in the back and out of the way from everything else. I'm sure it won't be this way always as the building and construction has really exploded in Prosper these last few years. I headed to the back of the store and was able to locate video game. I was also able to locate a Target associate who was able to get me the physical copy and ring me up right in the electronics department. She was super nice and helpful, and made everything very smooth. It was nice getting in and out since I only needed the one item. Thank you Target Prosper! read more

Love this location so happy to now have a closer target. The store is really bright inside and has a great flow. Also having Ulta in the store will always a major win. Staff is helpful and friendly as your navigating through the new layout. read more

I asked for a refund on product I never received, and it was a huge problem. Jared the store manager is not nice at all. I called HR Ryan Clayton and he never responded to my calls. I typically love shopping at Target. I know I could find 90% of the merchandise cheaper at a store like Walmart but I typically choose Target for the customer service. However this location has the rudest and incompetent staff I have ever experienced in my 20+ years shopping at Target. Not only are the cashiers rude and unfriendly, they seem to never take the red tags off the clothes I buy. Multiple times in a row btw. And then when I bring it in to get the tag removed, they treat me as if I have stollen something before even giving me a chance to show my receipt. While trying on clothes in the dressing room it's not uncommon to hear the workers belittling customers on everything from their clothing size and style choice to the customers perceived audacity because not every customer puts the clothes back in the store themselves. You are supposed to leave it on the table outside the dressing room, but the workers give the impression that they were expecting the customer to their job by putting everything back on the rack. I have heard multiple employees complaining very loudly about their jobs including pay, the work they do, customers they deal with etc. Now it is not my greatest ambition to work at Target and I can understand that money is tight for a lot of people, however I do not think it's appropriate for the staff to loudly complain where customers can hear. The Starbucks employees are awful. They give you attitude if you walk over there to order a drink as if the Starbucks kiosk is there for decoration. read more

Went for the first time to this location (10/18/2023) and was immediately impressed. This store is huge for not being a SuperTarget! This store has everything from Groceries, Ulta, a Disney Store, an Apple Store, CVS Pharmacy, and Starbucks. Our cashier and other workers were extremely nice and helpful! I've been waiting for this to open since early 2021, and now we have it! They already have the Christmas section up instead of Halloween, which was cool to see. The store was stocked, super clean, and products on shelves were extremely centered. This store has popular products and Target brands including Good and Gather, Embark, and Up and Up. This store is a lot more welcoming than the Frisco North location. If in Frisco or near Frisco, I recommend you check this place out, you won't regret it. Target hasn't put up their iPhone 15 or other Apple displays yet, but they will sure in the future. read more
