My cashier was super nice and helpful. What I didn't appreciate was the "supervisor" who came up to her and started clapping at her and was totally unprofessional. Then proceeded to speak to me with the same attitude. I was in shock!!!! If you don't like your job get a new job or take a break. Then when I asked for her name and and a manager she took off and was gone with the wind.... I don't know if it's just me but I've been numerous Target locations and this one is huge! I felt like I was in mini mall the store was so big and has a different lay and overall feel out than the inner city Target locations. I love the remodel concept that many Target stores have gotten; trendy, soft, not so white and medicinal looking. The gray and warm browns are a nice compliment to the famous Target red, and "see yourself in the mirror" white floors. This location had a big home goods section for the entire family with great prices. I like the inviting home ware with pillows and cups with positive words and messages. It will take a minute to get used to the lay out but I appreciate how cosmetics is now a section of its own, away from beauty and health products. I visited for just a couple items but as usual that never works out lol. Beautiful store, nice variety for entire family and great prices. read more

I haven't been here in a very long time they have completely changed everything around the Self checkouts are now in the front they used to be on the opposite side of the store the food is still in the same area but trying to find pet food took me a while tonight since it's not in the same section used to be and I was not greeted by anybody in the store which was surprisingly they should look up smile and ask if you find everything OK Or if you need help finding an item this establishment was somewhat clean I saw some water bottles just sitting on counters this definitely has changed a lot it doesn't look the same like it did a few years ago The self check out line or not you Bad i was able to check it out quickly and get out quickly The Starbucks is now a lot bigger than what it used to be it's in the area where the clicker is to be very big they also have Adaline fission over here which could come in handy if you are a regular shopper at target then you could get your eyes examined and get your glasses or contacts here not sure when I will be back here but this place definitely has changed read more

I am sick and tired of missing out on my 5% discount because of their habitual equipment problems. I complained to customer service and got no response. The problem is that once you know you are at a register that is malfunctioning your cart has been rung up so you have to void that, reload your cart and go through the line again. My wife went to the Citrus Heights store and used her card and the checker was commenting she hoped it went through so this is system wide. Let me start by saying that Target is better than Walmart; then again, what isn't. I'm not going to take the time to explain Target to you because you have probably been there. The reason I took away two stars is their bait and switch tactics with their marketing. Their weekly ad is full of deals that provide a gift card or a discount if you buy certain amounts of specified products. The problem is that they are not correctly specified. I'm tired of getting up to the counter and finding out that one of the items in my cart is not technically part of the deal. And then getting asked for the 789th time if I'd like to sign up for a Red Card. If you want my loyalty, don't try to do it with a card; do it by holding up your end of the bargain with respect to your Weekly Ads. read more

I'm not impressed with the remodel of this location. It's weird how candles and housewares are right there next to the entrance. Nobody wants to look like a weirdo testing out candle smells by the door. The aisles are a bit narrow and merchandise placement is just weird. I don't like that they got rid of all the food either. This target is the only one from auburn to Sacramento that is usually fully stocked. Their workers are amazing and always so friendly and helpful. Kasey and Kody in the grocery department are the best! If there's an item not on the shelves, they will go out of their way to check both locations in the back to make sure they find you the item you need. They go above and beyond. read more

How often have we all gone shopping and had to deal with a shaky or noisy cart that pulls in the wrong direction? I think we all have. Last night I went shopping at this Target and pushed the smoothest most quiet cart Ive ever felt. That completely changed my shopping experience around and for that I give this place 5 stars. This store is simply horrible. The shelves are increasingly empty and one can barely find someone to help them. Today, there was no generic Ibuprofen and I endure a lot of chronic pain. Paying more is not an option for me as I am disabled and on a fixed income. There was none of the Almond Milk I usually purchase (their brand). There was only one of the coffee filters I usually purchase (their cheaper brand) and that package had been opened. Their was none of the make-up I usually purchase. When the lines get long they are reluctant to open a new one to help. They probably are trying to force people to go to the self-service line. Again, I can not do that because of my pain issues. I saw numerous employees on their cell phones instead of helping us. My primary reason in shopping Target used to be their great customer service. Now, I think their customer service is horrible. No thanks! I will look for better customer service because it is almost non-existent at this store. If this was the first time I had this complaint I would not have written this. But this is now become a serial problem with them. read more

It's Target, you know what to expect. The place can get absolutely jammed on weekends, but the parking lot is pretty spacious so it's usually pretty easy to find parking. I like that they have a bunch of self-checkout registers so too, the line is generally quicker than the regular checkout. There have been a few instances where the Target mobile app says they have something in stock only to be unable to find it in the actual store, which is definitely annoying. They're good about price matching to online prices too, unlike some other stores. read more

I'm a target fanatic. This was my favorite target until Fri 12/2 at 5pm. Earlier that day my husband and I were in another part of town and we picked up some lights for the tree. There was a box that was white instead of clear. So I headed to Target closer to my home for an exchange. I go grab some lights because of course I can't find the same pair in the disorder of the light area. I picked up two sets of the mini twinkle lights. The first associate tells me he can't return these today but I can go to the same store and return them....I have my receipt mind you so I'm baffled and ask to speak to a LOD, ETL Gstl or something. Tristan arrives and he doesn't seem to willing to explain why this policy isn't something the customer should be aware of. I was reading the signage in guest services and I couldn't see that policy of no same day returns. He looked me and said well you're not that important you want me to make a sign. I retorted no I would like to be satisfied and why am o to be made concerned regarding inventory. I even asked him to see if he had an identical pair in store and he replied I don't have a pda currently as he is standing in first service with access to more than three.....Wait my experience becomes appalling after this almost downright abusive verbally. Certainly condescending. He begrudgingly grabs my items as he angrily stares me down and says I'm not trying to satisfy you I just want you out my store. I said why I wasn't aware of your policy and I don't think It's fair for you to turn people away and say go to another store. I've never been so embarrassed in a shopping environment. BTW I had my two sons there who became frightened when he threatens me with calling security. I'm almost in tears and shaking now because I have my children with me. Tristian has stormed off and taken the lights of like to purchase with him. I never cursed yelled or anything to make him act that way towards me.I'm appalled it's going this far for Christmas lights. Sean comes and quietly tries to dissolve the matter by giving me the lights I requested. I'm a letter writer. I go and try to get a DM to express my horrible experience to so that Tristan can have a coaching session. I get the run around. I'm pissed and I'm telling anyone who will listen. I love this Target. I am able to get in and out without problems. I have been going here for the past 4 years and I have not had any problems since. Yes sometimes the isles are somewhat empty but that is expect while going through a worldwide panini. Speaking of, they always have masks available in the front in case I don't have mine. This is a really nice group of men and women. Colby is the manager as is Lydia and All I'm saying is when you need antibiotics for your child (who is not a fan of the taste- who is right? I still remember how gross!) they bent over backwards. Allison is one of the hardest working techs out there. They all get the job done. It's tough dealing with insurance, the occasional impatient customer, and it seems like it's busy work. And they work hard. If you stay calm and communicate with them, they will help you. This is one of my favorite Target locations out of the 10+ Target stores in the area. The parking lot is usually packed, but easy to navigate around and you can usually get a pretty good spot. It's also easy to get in and out of. They are typically in stock of what I am looking for which I do appreciate. They also have an expanded selection in some departments (like seasonal and women's clothing) so they carry some items that other locations don't. Sometimes they don't have enough cashier stations open, but I have found that to be less of a problem recently than before. The return line is usually short and I have never had to wait long. They do have a Starbucks location right in front of the checkouts, but it's just a counter with no seating. They do have a large Food Court that's just steps away and has plenty of seating and is never crowded. This Target location is, and will keep being my "go to" Target store. read more

I LOVE target. I've never had a bad experience at one. The reason I'm writing this review is not about the actual store, but instead an employee I encountered on Tuesday evening. At first I wasn't going to complain, but honestly it is still bothering me today, so I will be leaving a review and speaking to a manager in person to ensure this gets acknowledged. On Friday evening I was standing in line and there was a woman with about 3 or 4 kids in front of me. She had her hands full and was trying to check out at the cashier. The cashier asked her if she would be using her target red card (which I know is a mandatory question for cashiers.) the mother said no. She then asked if the mom wanted to sign up for one to save x amount of money (which I know is also mandatory for cashiers.) The mother said no. The employee, who was an older woman with glasses named Karin then looked at her children and said "Mommy apparently doesn't want to send you all to college because she doesn't want to save money with a target card." SERIOUSLY? These kids were like maybe 5-8 years old and that is such an inappropriate comment to make. Is management pushing the cashiers THAT hard to get credit card sign ups? Or is this employee just incredibly incredibly rude ?? Something needs to be done because children that age do not always understand comments like that whether or not she was joking. It was incredibly inappropriate and the mother looked embarrassed and sad. Management, PLEASE do something about this. read more

If you are a person of color, be ready to be profiled in this store. I had the worst shopping experience here EVER. I was treated like a criminal for using 4 coupons! I was made to buy each item separately because they made up false policies. They tried to prevent me from purchasing more items, and they lied about their titles, stating that they were the managers. when pressed further, their titles changed. Even the store manager has horrible customer service. Instead of finding out with the issue is from the customer, she comes with attitude from the lying workers point of view. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE at this store!!! Customers are what keep this store operating, but they seem to have lost that concept. WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE...EVER!! read more

I love Target. I really do. I wish I could rate this Target higher but my recent experience with them was just crappy. My daughter received a ton of clothing for her birthday from Target. I wanted to keep all of the outfits, but needed to exchange them for different sizes. I work in retail and I know how unlikely people are to give gift receipts, and that was what happened in my case. But I figured that because I just wanted the same items in smaller sizes, it wouldn't be a problem. I asked the woman at returns if I should just go get all of the items I needed, and if it would be a problem to exchange the sizes. She assured me that I should just go get the smaller sizes and it would be no problem to exchange them. I let her know that I didn't have receipts and she said it was fine. I went and found every item that my daughter had received in a smaller size with the exception of one shirt. When I came back to the returns counter they let me know that I would be able to exchange the items with my driver's license. There was now a guy working and he ran my license, and informed me that after $60 my license maxed out and he couldn't return anything else. I repeated that I just wanted the same exact things in a smaller size, and he said he couldn't do it. He went and got a manager who rolled her eyes and said, "Yeah, just exchange it all" and informed me that they let you do a limited amount of returns to avoid fraud. Again, I just wanted to exchange the items (which was about $85 dollars worth of clothing) for different sizes. They finally processed it but then informed me I could not return anything else for "probably a year" and that I should ask people for gift receipts next time. I spend literally thousands a year at Target and to be able to "technically" exchange sixty dollars of product in one year seems ridiculous. read more

NOTE TO THE MANAGERS: The staff uses the front of the store as a smoking area. They leave butts everywhere, customers see this, and then do the same thing. Walk outside and use the doors by the pharmacy...look at the bench area to the right...and check out the ground. Prepare to be horrified. Now imagine this: every time you come to this store, you walk through this area, smell the stink, witness employees smoking, and putting their butts out on the ground in front of the store. This Target is old and needs to be remodeled. It reminds me of a Sears inside with the plain walls and empty spaces. I also noticed the employees seem dazed every time I visit. Do not use the order online and pick up In store option!!! Ordered items went in seven hours later and the clerk says there is no record of my order. I had to shop for the items, got home, and sure enough I got charged online and it says my items were picked up an hour before I got there. I called the store and the guest services clerk says my order is sitting on the shelf. I asked her to cancel it and she says she can't, I have to come to the store to return my items. Called target.com and they can't refund or cancel my order because it looks like I picked it up.... and they cannot call the store to verify I didn't pick it up. Called the store back and the manager I talked to was telling me how I do need to come there for a refund and how they are aware of the problem but.... then the phone goes dead. I was being totally nice through all of this, but I am irritated and will never use that feature again. Better to have items shipped or just shop like normal. Now I have to go there twice. read more

I have only good things to say about this Target location. The store was clean, organized and well stocked (I visited Friday afternoon). My only experience with an employee was the young man at the checkout counter today, he truly showed what pride in your job is! He engaged every person in friendly conversation and was fast and efficient at the same time while checking you out. I only wish I would have caught his name to post here. Today i went to target to get a couple of items and was stop at the door to check my Receipt I have Shop at this target plenty of times before and never have them check my receipt about a week or two ago I was at the same target and the lady at self check out accuse me of stealing because I am a black woman I feel I was racially profiled with these two men I brought my concerns to both managers it was nothing done about it they called the police on me and when I asked him why they stopped me to check my receipt they said it was their job but not once did they check anyone else's receipt I feel like my right of been violated and I feel like they take this as a joke because security thought it was a joke I feel very very violated and I feel like they don't take this serious enough this is the second time I've been violated at this target . I am a basic Target mom. Toddler in the Tula and shopping list in hand. This Target has everything I need and want. The store is well-organized and the checkers aim to get you through the lines quickly. Over the years I have had some terrible customer service (newborn with me and dropped my eggs that I had just paid for at the checkout stand and the checker looked at me like, "I cannot believe you." I love me some Target shopping. That said, I especially love shopping at my local Greatland Target in Roseville on a Saturday night after all of the soccer moms and dads have left for the day. The store is usually being stocked at that time, but the staff has the time to help you find what you need and get the heck out of there before you get preoccupied in the $5 DVD section. This Target in particular, has a great selection of everyday things, and also a nice section of high end items for your garden or home to choose from. My quest for matching patio chair pads paid off yesterday evening as they were on sale for $9, as was all other garden items.
