Visited the N Sunrise store today with a couple irrigation issues. With an existing 20- something year old back and 10 year old front set up, we're often in need of replacement parts and such. We've patronized this Home Depot since 1997, and have NEVER received the level of service we did today. Roxanne, in the irrigation department, was not only extremely knowledgeable, but the most helpful employee we have encountered here. Roxanne not only suggested better options to suit our needs, but hand picked the parts we would need and explained/demonstrated how to better address our situation. Thank you, Roxanne! We ordered carpet and hardwood flooring for our Lake Tahoe vacation home from Home Depot and are very happy with our experience. Romanoff Renovations did the installation and they did a great job. Thank you Andrew and Robin from Home Depot for putting this project together, especially considering some of the challenges we faced. We were nervous based on some of the reviews we read but Andrew promised us that the job would be done on time and correctly and it was. We're so pleased that we will be ordering blinds, appliances and possibly kitchen cabinets and counters. All I have to say is, I'm hoping a Lowes opens in our area soon. Go to Home Depot and then go to Lowes. Home Depot is an old brash company and completely out of touch with customer service. Terrible customer service. I havent had an issue with employees there much because I choose to wear a mask. They give me weird looks but Im used to that. However this weekend when i stopped an employee, she first tried to ignore me and then said "Im sorry i cant understand you because of your mask." It was clearly rehearsed. But i just raised my voice and asked my question a few more times until she gave me an answer. There is no reason to bother anyone about a mask. If people choose not to wear one, great, but I enjoy not getting sick and being stuck feeling bad for weeks. Im especially concerned that Home Depot is hiring employees of this caliber. I will not be going back to Home Depot. Guess Ill be giving my business to Lowes and Ace Hardware who have never even given me a LOOK over my mask. read more

We've had nothing but problems with this store. We purchased new flooring and all that goes with it. We were missing parts of our order and received some items that we shouldn't have. They were certainly fast at picking up the items we didn't want, but completely missed the quarter rounds on the initial delivery. It has taken almost two weeks to have the right pieces delivered and our contractor is almost finished with the job. Certain employees in the flooring department (who shall remain nameless) failed to follow up with calls to us, as promised, to keep us apprised of when we could expect delivery. All we got were excuses, not a single apology for the horrific service. We were going to purchase many more items, but now refuse to buy anything from this store. We're going to Lowes and Amazon for the remaining items we need. Stay far away from this store and save yourself a lot of stress. Horrible customer service. read more

Needed a hose for my power washer. Found it in 15 mins. Everyone we encountered on the floor said hello Then we tried to pay for our 1 item. Took 40 mins. 1 line. Yet the return area was dead so why not divert us there. And no store manager involved. Worked 44 years in retail ( WM and others) as a Store mgr. PLEASE believe me when I warn you, 'do not' buy their Allstate Protection plan. Our LG dryer needs repair and I called the number listed for a repair appointment. There are NO live representatives. It's now ALL AI or only text messaging. I was on the phone trying to get help for 5 hours (I have dated and timed text messaging proof! ). FIVE HOURS!!! Finally I got an appointment through texting. I called the repair company directly to discuss the repair issues and the guy who answered barely spoke English. He had no idea what I was talking about. I researched the name of the repair company and couldn't find any information at all. Home Depot knows nothing about this Allstate Protection Plan Who's coming into our home? Are the repair technicians vetted? Is it a good company? There is NO ONE to complain to or even to discuss concerns! I asked for help loading some large pavers in the garden department from Evelyn the cashier. 20 minutes past went back to Evelyn to ask if I was going to get help she stated she called them. Went back to load the bricks myself. When I was checking out I talked to Evelyn and asked who did she call and when did they plan on coming. She said she didn't know she just calls them. I asked to speak to a manager I spoke with Stephanie. She stated that when the loaders are busy they cannot communicate so the customers will never know when they will be helped. I also asked when they were getting another shipment of bricks because online it stated they had 21 or more when I got there they had 10 and 5 were broken. I asked if she knew when they would be getting more she said it's not her department and she doesn't know. I will avoid this home Depot at all cost in the future. 3/5/2020: Good grief! Home Depot got me hook, line, and sinker! I keep perpetually returning to Home Depot buying this, that, and DOH~I forgot to buy this, this, AND THIS~GRRRRR!!!! I bought Rainbird irrigation components, H2O timers, H2O spickets, plants, fruit trees, planter pots, fertilizer, gardening tools, raided the HD Tool Crib for tin snips, drill bits, hammer, drill, saws-all, terrorized/hassled the Kitchen Designer Lady for purchasing a special-order, Lazy Susan kitchen cabinet, bought an electric double-oven, GE Range, Samsung French Refrigerator, special ordered FIVE ceiling fans/TWO exhaust bathroom fans, LED lightbulbs, electrical wiring, electrical extension cords, deer fencing, H2O sprayers, fifty-feet of H2O hoses . . . Gosh~I didn't realize the costly investment I paid a pretty penny to Home Depot: I bought too many items at Home Depot including, purchasing TWO TUFF SHEDS~OY-EVAY. . . Now, my embarrassing eye-roll ensues looking shamefully at the ground. By the way: I will plant more fruit trees and vegetables in order, elevating, heightening my property's landscaping and curb appeal, providing a more healthy diet by inhaling fruit and vegetables for my family and me, and finally, increasing my property's value greatly. In my devious, dastardly plot: I plan planting green onions AND garlic in between the yellow Daffodils located on the front yard's sidewalk insuring Buck Owens, Jan Doe nor Bambi will not inhale any of the flowers or fruit trees I plant at my property's landscape! Everytime I'm at the store it's hard to find someone who really has an answer for me. I order some patio furniture online and it's backordered which is fine. My card not to be charge till item ships. I get an email 5-6 weeks later saying item shipped. Lies! It hadn't shipped and I finally get it to my house and there is no cushion covers which my order specifically said Sunbrella beige. I've waited on the phone for over an hour only to be sent straight to the line where I can rate customer service. Nobody ever got in the line for me to talk to. I do appreciate HD prices over Lowe's any day. I drove up, I checked in and about a minute later my order was coming out. The person that came out was friendly and funny. I'm not normally the Miss do it myself around the house when it comes to nails and screws and shelves and such, but all I needed were some sheet rock screw into thingies. I guess they're called anchor screws. I needed a few other things too, like caulk and shelf brackets and some of that spray foam insulation. Well, I went on the website just to see if Home Depot had these things in stock at the store. With some searching, I did find all 5 items I wanted and even the locations in the store where to go. But then I see I can order all this stuff right online, pay online and Home Depot will have it all ready for me to pick up in a couple of hours at Customer Service! Some of the items couldn't be shipped and were in store only. I was online shopping at 7am and the store is already open, so by 9am my order would be ready to pick up! I'd never used this shop for you service and pick up before, but what the heck? I completed my order, paid online. Hey, they offered me $25 to sign up for a Home Depot credit card! OK, so I signed up and BAM $25 off the bill. The bill was $35 and they took off $25 .... COOL! I get a text a couple of hours later, the order is ready to pick up. So, I go on down there and go right to customer service and they nice person just asked my name and handed me my bag of stuff! I was in and out of the store in less then 3 minutes! If I had to wander all over the store looking for my items, I'd sure be a lot longer than that! Plus I would know exactly where to find them. The order was complete and no probs at all ..... Home Depot does not value customer service! We purchased a washer, dryer, and fridge. This is after buying new flooring and having it installed. Home Depot uses a delivery service that arrived late Saturday afternoon. They were instructed to not install and leave the appliances in our garage, having to reschedule due to having more stops scheduled. So today, Thursday, Oct 5th we had a window of 1:30 to 5:30. At 6:15 they called to cancel again. Unbelievable! Why are we not moved to first or priority? Instead they are rescheduling for Saturday. Maybe the 4th attempt will finally get our appliances installed. Though this is a contracted delivery company, Home Depot in Roseville, Ca is using this company to represent the Home Depot brand name and business practices. Our time of having to be home waiting for their paid for service is obviously not important to the company. That is unfortunate. read more

I don't know why this Home Depot only gets a 3.5 star rating. The people here are so helpful. Whenever I go in there, someone always helps me. I need all the help I could get in a hardware store! Today a young lady there was super helpful. Her name is Ginny. Customer Service is a lost Art-form.. This may be one of the places you will still be able to receive it. This lady was super helpful from helping me select and power washer and loading it for me. She helped me with other things too. Like the Milwaukee weed-eater, driveway cleaner and a mop. She was also kind enough to go onto her phone and do research for me too. She was super nice and I truly appreciate all of her endeavors. When I got to check out, a super nice woman named Emily checked me out. Like I said, I don't know why this Home Depot only rates 3.5 stars .. We bought a ceiling fan that we kept til we finished our room remodel and then realized it wasn't going to fit our design and wanted to exchange it for a Different color fan. Carin was my paint expert and wow did she was extremely knowledgable, kind and spent gave me individualized attention and advice. I am so thankful. Apparently they only have 1 employee that can cut boards and the same 1 employee who operates the forklift! Only 1 person ahead of me and we waited over 45 minutes to get a board cut because that 1 employee had to stop every few minutes to run the forklift! I asked at the "pro" desk if anyone else could cut boards and was told "No..sorry" (insert Mary Moose here) To top it off, the board was cut wrong. Customer Service has become a thing of the past! If I could give Home Depot zero stars I would. We have had the worst service ever. Ordered four appliances and each time it has taken 4+ attempts to deliver ONLY to not receive the appliances!!! They were supposed to call the night before and did not. Then when we called they told us they would deliver in a certain window...then we would get a call the day of delivery at 5 o'clock saying there was no appliance on the truck. No appliance. No appliance x 5. The store level doesn't seem to care that the delivery department cancelled our order!? Why we don't know. I called to find out the new delivery date only to find out that delivery cancelled. We didn't approve that. Delivery dept isn't even part of Home Depot so how can they do that??? read more

Sara at the Self check out is the absolute worst representation of customer service I have ever encountered in greeters or crowd control. I am a very loyal HD. Shopper, I spend thousands here. Turning homes for clients and personal use. I could not have had a better experience on this day, on the floor with other employees. But then... I go to get in line, (where I always go) I don't like self check out do I wait my turn for the only cashier. Sara calls out! "Cash or Card" (not it!) today, I could not find my card, I'm writing a check. She asks me specifically; "cash or check?" I reply "neither, I'm writing a check. She then tells me I have to go all the way to the end of the building for "customer service, they take checks." "Why can't I wait for the cashier?" "Because,!he's busy" Duh! Isn't that the point of waiting for him to be open. But I didn't say that. Instead I asked again, "I always stand here for a cashier since there is only be line. Is there a different line I should be in?" And then here it comes... She rolls her eyes, and says; "this is self check out! " You'll have to wait" The next customer came up, Sara again says; card or cash? To the other customer, he asked; "isn't she next?" Sara responds to him; In a condescending cadence; "She doesn't have cash or card, she's writing a check." Oh wow! Really! I literally could not have been in a better mood until Sara. Just Wow! I said directly to her, "I think you are being rude?" She was argumentative and insisted on being right. I watched her go to a fellow associate "Marty" telling him our interaction. WTH? I'm minding my own business, with my GS Dog by my side. This is nuts! I came from garden where I parked and came to the cashier for a treat that another awesome associate suggested for my German Shepherd. I did not come to be abused by the self righteous Sara! Instead of going one step further to speak to me like a good service associate to a valuable loyal customer, I was put in a position to explain to her what I was feeling and she again blamed me taking zero responsibility for shouting out to me misinformation that I was actually 100% correct in my waiting spot for the cashier. Then shouting out to the world to hear; I don't have cash or a card like it's a bad thing, I'm writing a check, Eye rolling insult and then complaining about me? I see how people want to call people who disagrees "Karen's". I'm definitely no Karen and that is a rude term. What I am is loyal, a customer who like most, Just wants to get in and out without hassles. I'm a 44 year business owner from Rocklin and I've been shopping Home Depot and investing in it since before this Sara was born and rude mistreatment of myself or anyone is dead in front of me. This location has been reliable for a number of years now. I am usually always able to find help on the floor if I look for it. I've been saying for years that the HD would do better if they post a greeter at the door, but hey. I arrived here last night amid two dudebros parked terribly in four parking spaces and thought, this is going to be fun... Luckily Walt to the rescue! Based on Gerald's age, he obviously grew up during that timeframe. Although an experience like this is rare, it still gives me hope that America isn't finished yet.
