Your basic run-of-the-mill Target, though I have to say the people working here are a lot nicer than the ones over at the Natomas Target. I swing by here during my lunch break if I need to pick something up like diapers or wipes or other household non-food needs. Although, now that they carry grocery items, I tend to grab a snack and a drink on my way out too. I was disappointed in their video game selection. They were missing a few games that had just been released less than a month ago, and when I asked about them, I was told they were apparently never even ordered. I visit this location often as it's close to my job and I can say as far as products go all Targets pretty much carry all the things that I love. However every time I visit this location there are never hand baskets available, often multiple areas in the store are not in order and today the scanner was broken and I had to go look for another. The things I love about this store is they usually have a lot of clearance items in the kids sections and cosmetics. Once I got the hang of the remodel, I feel pretty confident in this Target. They always have what I need for those random things and what not. Im pretty bumbed that the prices seem to constantly inflate though. I buy most of my dry foods and domestic products here. Still not ready to touch the "fresh" fruits/veggies nor the bakery items. I like to shop at Target but this location is horrible. It has poor customer service...the other day, a clerk commanded me to take my items out of the basket I placed on the check stand. She said " if you can put things in the basket, you can take them out." Also, I frequently check online to see if a product is in stock at the store (and in what aisle it's located) only to find the items are out of stock when I get to the store. They don't care to update their inventory so it is often a wasted trip. read more

I did not catch the young lady's name who helped me yesterday (Wed.) evening, but she went above and beyond to try and locate my online order for pick up. The manager Matthew was very polite, professional, and resolved the lost item issue. I was very impressed with his management skills. This is the first Target store I ever went to. My girlfriend at the time, brought me here and introduced me to the wonders of Target. I love Target for many reasons, but recently it has been for the sales racks they have in the men's clothing section. They always have some clothes that are 30-50% off. Sometimes they even have a 75% off rack. It is hard to pass up a 4 dollar shirt, shorts, or pants. read more

I do not like this Target. I used to come here all the time growing up, and I have always been a big fan of Target. But this one? Ugh. It's always kind of dirty, disorganized, everything's been picked through... The last 4-5 times I've come here, they haven't had anything that I've needed. Keep in mind, I don't go to Target looking for strange/rare things. I went before Easter, looking for the plastic grass to put in the bottom of the baskets... they didn't have any! I went before Christmas looking for ornament hooks... they didn't have any! Maybe my problem is going on holidays... Although I've also come in looking for face wash and other basic necessities and this Target hasn't had what I wanted. If I'm going to Target, I make the trip to Natomas or to Elk Grove. They're much bigger, much nicer, much more organized and they always have a WAY better selection of goods. This Target either needs to be expanded and redone, or it needs to be let go. read more

Target needs to give up on being a grocery store. Yesterday I went in to get a bag of onions. There were about 15 bags and each one had mulitple rotted onions in them. They were so far gone that they had a purple color under the skin and were mushy. I have also found many frozen item (pies) that were beyond the expiration date. Target, leave it to Safeway or Raleys. I would rather pay a little more and get fresh items. read more

This is my go-to Target as I live close this location. I love Target, I feel more or less comfortable shopping here, staff has been nice, some more helpful than others. My issue is low to no stock on basic stuff, and worse, expired food! More than a couple of times, I have brought expired products to an employee, I've spoken to managers, and it's still an issue. If you can believe this, I bought baby Yogurt for my infant, get home and see it was 3 months expired. I'm not kidding. I'll still shop here because it's easiest, but ALWAYS check dates on perishables especially. I hope they get it together. Come on Target. You can do better. read more

I bought a tv yesterday from target and brought it home to find it's packages slightly opened and the TV set busted. I would have brought the tv back immediately but unfortunately the store had closed but luckily I still had all my receipts and a warranty on the tv. I brought the tv back the next day to customer service. After opening the box they informed me that it was not their tv and they cannot accept the tv. They told me that the TV does not match the box and there is no way that they could have possibly mixed the box up at all. To me it sounded like they accuse me of swapping out their TV with a bad TV, so I asked do you think that I swapped out the TV and they reply no. And I asked Wil who's fault is it because I purchased this TV yesterday and opened it and found it was damaged so I returned it. They pulled out the TV from the box and had several employees look at it and agree with the store manager Viet. The again told me that they would not accept my return without any speculation that it was at all a mistake on their end. They brought in a second manager and Viet explained the situation to him and he simply said just swap it out, almost as if to not "deal" with me. I was finally able to swap out the TVs and I left feeling like I was treated like a criminal, I told my girlfriend who was in the car and she was extremely angry because she shops there all the time. I didn't want to bring home such a negative experience and I didn't feel target deserved my money so I went back and just decided to get a refund and buy a tv elsewhere, where they don't sell you bad TVs like your at a swap meet and accuse you of things. Note: I paid with a card, and they tried to give me my refund in a gift card, so be careful when getting refunds, always check your receipts. read more

Ok Target is one of my favorite stores but this specific outlet needs some serious clean up with the employees. I came here 5 days ago and spent 2 hours carefully shopping for things I needed in my new home (I just moved to Sacramento and have an empty house). After finally getting everything I needed I stopped an employee to ask if there was a way to pay over the phone, I didn't have my credit card on me and my husband had it on hand and was on the phone ready to give any information needed to pay for the items. He said "I don't know" and walked away. I got in line and asked the cashier before he ran anything up if it was okay and he said maybe and then got a manager after he ran it all up. The manager was a short Mexican lady who looked very confused and said "no" so I tried to explain I just forgot my card but she just kept saying no and started taking my stuff away. I stopped the cart and asked her if I could put the order on hold and come back tomorrow with my card since I had spent so long picking everything out. She just said "we can hold it until the end of the night". It was an hour away from closing time. I live 30 minutes away. I was incredibly upset and won't be returning to this outlet ever again. The level of disrespect and the unhelpful staff was unbelievable. Btw I have run into the exact same issue at Home Depot and Ulta and a different Target, and all of them were extremely understanding. read more

I love Target and I have to say this is my favorite Target in the area. I've been going here for years! No matter which area I lived in, I always found a reason to visit this Target. The employees are very friendly and the store is organized (most of the time). I feel like all Targets are the same but I might have a little sentiment for this Target because it was my first Target I went to in the Sacramento area. I currently live in El Dorado and I still sometimes make the trip out to this one. Anyways, I'd definitely recommend checking out this Target. It's close to Downtown Sacramento, the employees are friendly and personable, the store is clean, and their parking lot is massive so you'll never have issue finding parking. read more

I bought an item which has 90 days returnable policy online. Because the size doesn't fit so we want to return it. We went to the target store and seeking for help, but a lady said according to California state return policy it is not returnable and only can be exchanged. Ok Target, you just lost a star. I normally love this Target. However the last two times I have come here with my children, I've had to wait 10-15 mins to get into the FAMILY changing room. And each time that I have waited, a single person has walked out. That room needs to only be given to FAMILIES. Hence why it is called the FAMILY changing room. I can't fit my kids in the small single rooms as my baby is in a stroller and obviously I can't leave them outside the changing room. So maybe make it a rule that only families use that dressing room. read more

Excellent customer service! Was supposed to pick up a new bicycle (online order) for Mother's Day and unfortunately it wasn't built. Then, the next day, they discovered the one in the box was defective as well after they built it. The manager, Matthew, quickly had another one ordered and put together for us the next day and gave us a substantial discount for the inconvenience. The entire time he was in contact as well, calling to let us know the status. It was unfortunate that the bike wasn't ready when it was supposed to be but this manager (and Target) made up for it with excellent customer service. Go Target! read more

Target makes this wish a reality. 8. Toys. An excellent selection of Pixar's "Cars" die-cast toys. 9. Pet supplies. Stylish and affordable pet basics and holiday kitsch. Normally, I love coming to this Target. In fact, I grew up coming to this Target. However, today I literally had the worse experience I've ever had there in the electronics department. A young male employee outright lied to me about a situation at the store. He was rude, unhelpful, smug and not approachable or friendly in the slightest. I love this store, its location, hours... everything except a particular cashier. There's a short, elderly Asian lady who cashiers here. I am usually very sensitive about elderly people who lose their way, but this lady's expiration date has honestly passed. She makes inappropriate comments every time I'm unfortunate enough to have her as my cashier. Last time, I saw her scan a coupon (affixed near her register) without the customer asking for it, but she did not scan the same coupon for me. Oh, I forgot to mention that that customer who received the discount was ALSO ASIAN. Coincidence? I asked her why she didn't scan it for me as well. She said, "only good people bring reusable bags." Honestly, I wasn't about to argue with someone who has clearly lost any marbles she had at her peak. By the way, the Asian woman who received the discount DID NOT HAVE REUSABLE BAGS EITHER. This target doses not have what I need 90% of the time, without exaggeration. I live a block away so I frequent it often, hoping I will save myself the trip to elsewhere. It's nearly become a sick game that my boyfriend and I play though, when we decide to brave Target and find nothing I need. The store is so full of STUFF! I wonder who is buying it. And now list of things they have not had (in just the last four weeks): Sunflower seeds A bike pump Salt and pepper grinder Club soda Black denizen jeans A red bikini top, in large 3M Sticky nails Sliced apples, for grab n go snacking More than 1 option for food processors These aren't ridiculous items to search for at a target... often I search for an item online first and only go into the store when it says it's available at this location. That information is usually false and/or has outrageous differences in pricing. The bike pump listed above was $8.95 on Target's website, (which offered free store pick up. Hold onto this detail, it's important later). After much hunting and inquiring from staff members I finally located the two bike pumps in the whole store, which were not in the aisle listed online nor where they accurately placed with the correct price, because when I got to the checkout the pump was $26. The same exact pump listed online for $9... I notified a customer service rep and showed them the website. Their solution was to void my transaction if I didn't want the pump. So I inquired whether I could purchase it online right there and "pick it up" in store, since it was currently sitting at customer service anyways. This suggestion was over the head of the Rep I was talking to, as he just kept repeating "well we will email you when it's ready for pickup". Even though it was...
