I didn't realize I been to this Target before like 4 years ago when my friends took me to San Diego for my bachelor party. I just notice it now when writing my review. This time I came to this Target because it was the closest one next to my hotel at the San Diego Marriott Mission Valley. I needed to get some milk for my daughter so you can never go wrong by going to a Target when you're a Target Circle member. This is the first Target that I seen that had a separate building for store pickup only or getting wine. This Target does not have any self checkout station so you will only take it for granted when you don't have one. I found the milk in the grocery area and had to go to a cashier station to pay for it. The line and wait wasn't too bad. Before I paid for the milk, I got tempted by seeing some snickers and gum so I purchase that too. The prices on the item here is very reasonable especially if you pay with your Target Red Card. read more

The 2 gentlemen I encountered working here was super nice and helpful on trying to help me find what I was looking for. A pretty good location in San Diego. It is a super target that has groceries and everything you can think of. I had a little snack while I was here they even have a Starbucks inside the store. Such a convenient location! I love coming to mission to eat and then do my essential shopping here. The staff is friendly. They have lots of security around as well. The parking can be a nightmare but if you don't mind parking far it works out. They have a bigger selection than most targets I've been to. They even had a value section which was cool. This is one of the cleanest targets I have ever been in. I mainly loved the fact they had a wine and spirits section which was really nice to see the variety. The service of the workers are super helpful and helping you find what you need. The value of the items at this target will compare and contrast to other places like Walmart, but the items are more obedient than that of Walmart read more

Nice location, close to campus so easy to pick up something for my kiddo. Parking is a bit tight though., spots aren't very big and this is a high volume location so it may be better to park in the structure and walk a bit. This location has a huge are where there is a nice Starbucks and cafe area with plenty of grab and go food and snacks. It is a larger store so they have a great variety of anything and everything you need. I do miss the self checkout but the staff at the registers were very friendly. Your associate Logan is backdooring pokemon product. Directly lied to my face 12/09/2025 7:30ish pm. My friend was there and told me to come because they have a few upc charizard boxes and the associate Logan putting the cards away said there was only one box when witnessed by my friend that there were multiple. He kept being afamant that there was only one box which is very unusual. He must be backdooring product with the security guard! Whenever the restocks happen and the security guard is there, limits and rules change by the guard. Not sure what shennanigans is going on here but it's pretty lame to try and collect when you lame-os are reselling everything. Check your workers this is whack. Thought I would give Target another chance. This evening, Target loss prevention followed me around the store. And when I exited, there were 2 loss prevention persons outside hanging out. When I started leaving the area, the two left the door. Feeling harassed here. I may look poor, but doesn't mean I steal. My last Target experience was being accused of stealing candy after paying for one item at the register. They would not let me out of the store. I had to dig for my receipt in the target garbage to prove I paid for the one item. They let me out the store after I showed proof. Is this proper behavior! All the other Targets leave me alone, why does this Target hone on my shopping experience and make it borderline harassment without prejudice. read more

Terrible customer service. Came in to return something I bought and I obviously didn't know that the item they scanned scanned in wrong and showed I bought a 10z container on my receipt when I bought a 24oz of collagen from the same store a couple weeks ago. They said the item "is not on file" which means they don't even sell that item but I literally bought that exact one and it's not my fault their system made an error. The worker called a manager over and he said the same exact thing. I did not receive the refund I wanted and left frustrated because I don't understand how you're going to tell me you don't carry this item when I literally bought the item there and showed my app but the barcode doesn't come up I the system. I went to the section where it's sold myself and saw they did not have any of bigger containers I bought when I remember it was right in the middle. All I saw were 10oz ones and now I'm assuming they just don't sell the one I bought anymore. They could have just told me they discontinued selling that item instead of telling me I brought the wrong item and might have the right one at home. I know Target has cameras everywhere and I know I'm being truthful so if anything they can pull up their cameras and search the date and time and watch me buy it myself. read more

This is my usual target. It made me really sad going in here. Maybe it's the holiday season but it really made me sad and discouraged at my usual 1 stop shop. To be fair. I did go on a Sunday at 4pm after Halloween. The store was really messy and disorganized. Really long lines, for self check out. Regular line as well as return line. Target, please hire more staff. I rather continue getting delivery or pick up only. It's not worth it to come inside. I got what I needed and quickly left, I usually mindless shop and check out each aisle and purchase additional items. My favorite for example is the home decor selection of candles that I don't need but that shopping experience did not happen this time around. read more

I visited the store to get some essentials, as I was upstairs I was looking for someone to open the Owalas that were locked a young gentleman named Jacob looked like he was in a rush but stopped by to help me. I appreciate this because most of the employees tend to overlook you. As I went down for checkout I saw him again at the checkout I believe he is a manager he was nice enough to ask me if I had found everything I needed and if I needed anything else. This is a very central located target. But over the years it's become a mess. For one everything and I mean everything in the hygiene section is locked up now. Your lucky if you push the button and someone actually comes over to let you get the items you need. Then to top it off hand it to me after opening. Like I could've done that myself. Doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of locking it up and still handing it to me? It would be like me going to that section without it locked up and grabbing it to take myself. I have had to on occasion track down someone because no one came after pushing the button and I'm not talking minutes, it was more than that. I can wait but no one shows. Sometimes you have to push the button multiple times and still nothing. This is a fairly large target which is great! what's not great is the wait time. They closed the self check out area, they don't have a 15 items or less line or I have not seen it as I check out. But I end up waiting a very long time in line when they don't have many registers open during peak hours and the lines get very long, very busy. Best option I think moving forward at this target is to just do Target drive up. Can't shop for myself and enjoy it might as well just have the staff do it, that keeps the work up and saves me time. read more

Avoid Order Pickup at all costs. I walked in today at 11am on a Saturday, rang the bell, and waited for over 20 minutes until someone from another department noticed. In that time I even walked inside to see if there were any staff available, it was a Saturday late morning so there was no way they weren't working yet. Not from this department, another staff member needed to page the Order Pickup team from his walkie talkie to let them know their section had a customer. No apology or acknowledgement or anything. Finally 3 grumpy teenagers walk out (where have you been the past 20 minutes?) and dropped off my things at the register, no words, just frowning. I've always loved Target--especially this Mission Valley location because it's huge and has everything. I'm also a loyal customer who shops at Target multiple times a week across different locations and have been a lifelong supporter of the brand. That said, this review is one star solely because of the appalling treatment I received from a shift lead named Ashley on Friday around 1:40 PM. I entered with my well-trained service dog to quickly purchase an air fryer (it was 85° outside, so leaving him in the car was not an option). We were quietly minding our business until I was abruptly and aggressively approached by Ashley. She raised her voice at me in a hostile manner, insisting I could not have my service dog in the store and making inappropriate comments like, "A service dog doesn't bark, pee in the store, or misbehave." My dog has never done any of those things in the 4+ years I've had him. When I attempted to respond, she continually interrupted me with "LET ME FINISH," speaking down to me and creating an unnecessary scene. Her behavior was not only rude but also showed a clear lack of understanding of service dog rights and the ADA. Thankfully, I spoke with the store manager Steve, who was respectful, heard me out, and allowed me to finish shopping. I truly appreciate his professionalism. However, Ashley's behavior was completely unacceptable. No customer--especially one with a service animal--should be harassed, disrespected, or spoken to in such a demeaning way. As someone who has been a valued Target shopper my entire life, I was shocked and disappointed to be treated like this. Ashley needs to be retrained on both customer service and service dog policies--or reconsidered for a customer-facing role altogether. Target has always been a trusted, welcoming place for me, and I hope corporate takes this matter seriously. read more
