Horrible employees. My husband who is military is gone for work and I had to go pick up family from the airport alone with my child. My son had a blowout and we needed to go to the bathroom. Chose this target and accidentally left my mask in my car. I didn't have time to go grab the mask and explained to the guy at the front of the store I just needed to use the bathroom and told him I had NO problem wearing a mask if they could provide me with one and they said I had to buy one from them if I wanted to use their restroom or go get mine from my car. I found out about a redesign of an old favorite at Target, I bet this will be a gift which makes many laugh this year! While picking up needed necessities, specific brands I can only easily find at target, Amazon is simple to push buttons on, but sometimes I need something asap so I shop in person. The Rustic Wood Series held my attention, I liked rediscovering old favorite covers, the new looks are something different to see other than the same box art for decades. The burnt blackened edges of the Risk game box mimicked flame exposure, sick look! The other boxes have a more "weathered wood" look this note set the Risk box apart for me. I have sweet memories playing the Candy Land board game as a kid & hope others will continue to do so. I was most interested in the redesign of such the sugar-candy box, the previous one features bubbly colors of cotton candy and sugar canes, same great game, these would be a standout addition to any game set, I bet these will fly off the shelves as we move into winter. read more

I realize this is going to sound somewhat lame but here goes- I went to self-checkout and set down my armload of items. There was a cardboard box on the register so I packed my items in it so I wouldn't waste a bag. Realized there was a security tag on an item, so I spent time waiting for assistance to remove it. A crew of Target employees worked on it. And then one said I had to give the cardboard box back because it's an asset of the company. They said it had to be recycled- which was exactly what I was going to do with it! They made me walk over with them and take time to transfer everything to a plastic bag. It's the tiniest of things, but the whole situation made me feel like a piece of dirt to be tread on. Why is a corporate policy and looking good for your boss more important than just being kind to a customer? Especially when you are both working toward the same purpose of being less wasteful? read more

I went to this Target Starbucks today to get a sandwich and ICED Carmel Machiatto. I went between 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM. There was a lady who's name I did not catch but had purple hair. I asked for an ICED Carmel Machiatto with oat milk and got a hot one. The lady with purple hair proceeded to tell me when I rejected the hot coffee that I asked for a hot one and that I was wrong. I know it is 2022 but when I worked for Starbucks back in 2016 this would be unacceptable. I just wanted it to be known that employees here like to make accusations about their customers. read more

While shopping at this location an employee, Cody, was helping me grab razors from behind the locked cabinet and then threatened me. I said "have a great night." He said, "have a terrible one." To which I responded with, "ok." Prompting him to tell me to have a terrible night several more times. After that he tells me, " you will be contacted at home." He then watched me walk around the store and when I went to inform someone of what had happened he walks up inches behind me. In this moment I feel threatened and start to try to walk away and am followed up and down two more aisles. At this point I hastily walk towards security and he leaves but it still watching the entire time I'm reporting. I felt unsafe and left the store for the night. I come back the next day to follow up and find he stayed on shift and just received a talking to. Please be careful when shopping at this location even with the employees. read more

I have been to major chains like Target and Walmart on many occasions. In fact, who hasn't? Their low prices are hard to beat. Target, Walmart, Walmart, Target, what's the difference? Service! Target actually provides it. I stood by a glass case last week at Walmart waiting for an associate to assist me for over 15 minutes. I made eye contact with several employees as they faded me like old wall paper. I went to Target today and Theo immediately asked me how he could help me and promptly used up ten minutes of his time to locate and track down some registry items I was looking for. That's what I call customer service and that's why I will start doing a majority of my shopping here. Pandemic or not, it's the little things that count. Out of all the targets I've been to in San Diego, this one is the cleanest, has the BEST staff, and are the most helpful. Every staff member I ask to help goes beyond the call of duty. You guys are all great, but I want to specifically shout out Justin C. If I need anything I pretty much look for him. I've seen him put every guest as a priority no matter what! Half the store is locked and requires an employee to unlock. They have sensors to call them over, but I used one and waited 10 min with no response and then went to CS to ask for help and they just told me to go ask someone on the floor. First woman I asked said to go ask someone else that is closer to that area. No one has any sense of customer service. To make matters worse, they are always out of size Large men's clothing in Pair of Thieves brand along with being out of L or XL in any of the actually somewhat stylish clothing. Just order online from anywhere else, and force brick and mortar to shut down because they clearly don't want to have it open anyways. They only ever have 1 or 2 cashiers working and want you to use self checkout, half of which cannot accept cash. I went to a register that accepted cash and then there was an issue and I was questioned "we'll do you actually have to use cash" which I felt was very unprofessional. It is legal tender and I had planned to use it to buy essentials today. I loved Target for years, half of the things in my house are from Target, but this will likely be the last time I give them money. read more

To whoever manages or is responsible for purchasing supplies for this Target location: BUY MORE BASKETS. I'll repeat it: BUY MORE BASKETS. BUY MORE BASKETS. BUY MORE BASKETS. BUY MORE BASKETS. There is always the one broken basket by the entrance and whenever I go looking for baskets at each counter, there are none. I've even had store employees go looking and they can't find any. This is unacceptable. One employee told me that since the plastic bag ban, the baskets are more popular. Whatever. I don't care. Buy more. I'm not going to maneuver a cart around the store to buy an armload of items. I actually left the store once and went to Ralph's next door and willingly paid a whole lot more for my toiletries because it was easier to shop with the million baskets they have. That's right: if you raised the price of your items just to pay for more baskets, I would actually support that. It's not just because of the holidays. For the past 2 months, every single time I've come I've had so much trouble locating baskets. It turns Target from a convenient place to shop into a place I try to avoid most times of the day. Would leave zero stars if possible. Parked right up front near entrance MID DAY to pick up some items for the workplace, and came out to my car having been keyed all over the trunk. Being of sound mind, I thought that maybe all of their signs saying they have security cameras would be helpful. So I went in, spoke to an apathetic security lead, and he informed me that the cameras actually don't work. So if you're a criminal, this place is 5/5 stars, a true haven. I don't feel safe at this location and neither should you. Shop at your own risk if that can happen mid-day without any security measures, I'd hate to think what can happen at night. read more

I won't go back to this store because the three items I needed were not in the store or not priced properly. The main issue was that a lazy, overweight, sweaty, incompetent store employee would not take 5 seconds to help me find what I was looking for, prices were missing from shelves in the pet care section and other items were priced higher in the store than online. I was in Target yesterday (6/27/17) looking for a few things. The first was the CR123 batteries. When I asked an overweight sales rep if he could check to see if they carried the battery, he said it was in the electronics section. I asked him if he could check so I didn't waste my time walking back there only to find out they didn't carry it. He replied, "It's pretty common, they have it back by electronics" as he wiped beads of sweat from his forehead. (How are you sweating in an air-conditioned store?) I walked to the back of the store, saw none of these batteries that the store rep told me they carry and then asked another rep for help. He spent 10 seconds on his electronic device and said, "No, we don't have them". Also, I was looking for products in the "Pet care" section and noticed that many of the flea collars and higher end pet products did not have a price listed on the shelf anywhere! These are items that are locked onto metal hangars on the shelves. Is Target expecting people to buy these items without knowing how much they cost? The other issue was the lack of choices for sheet protectors. Online they have great choices of Diamond Clear protectors for $18.99 per 200 but in the store they sold the cheap, flimsy, not clear, Target brand protectors for $5 per 50. Start carrying the Avery brand and others that are online. Nobody wants to buy your in-house junk sheet protectors. read more

I visited yesterday Target on Midway Drive Point Loma around noon. The store was not full, not crowded. I counted 3 customers with no mask wondering around the isles an 1 at Starbucks. Also a couple of employees wearing the masks without covering their noses. I know it's an inconvenience, but we only have a mask and the distance to avoid the Covid 19. I was recently in Target looking for new bathing suits. I'd been putting it off, but it was time. I like the new dressing area, and it's right by the suits. I made several trips back and forth to try different sizes and styles. Sometimes it's hard trying to find the tops and bottoms that match, in the sizes I want. I can't imagine being the staff trying to keep that area organized! I finally found what I liked, but needed a bottom in a different size. Angela offered to look it up in the computer, and found there were three in my size. After scouring the department, I couldn't find them. I was ready to give up. However, Angela went to the back to check, and was able to find exactly what I needed! I really appreciate her going the extra step for me. That same visit, another employee (didn't get her name, unfortunately), also checked the back for some camp chairs. My husband had seen them in the ad, but there weren't any on the floor. Again, there was success! Now we're ready for the beach. Great customer service, Target! read more

Arguably most people shop at Target to the AVOID piss poor customer service that is Walmart Corp. Unfortunately time and time again this location has proven to be Walmart with a Gucci belt. While returning two items I decided to grab about 3 other items before making my purchases at the customer service desk no biggie. After being followed around the store for 10 mins (believe me I'm used to that) I go up to the cashier with receipt to exchange my items and let her know I had 3 additional items to purchase. No hello, nothing cool. I hand her my receipt and before I can even let her know I would like cash back as I am making an additional purchase she let's me know that that my money will go back to the card I used. Credit is one thing but usually when using debit you are asked would you like it returned on your card, cash, gift card etc. wildly irritating. But what truly pissed me off was after that she looks me dead my eyes looks down at my cart with my additional items and just stands there. After about 20 seconds of awkward silence she says is there anything else I can help you with. I held my tongue as I could feel the curse words doing somersaults in my mouth attempting to exit. Please remove this young lady from customer service as she has absolutely no clue what those words mean especially when used together. read more

I don't want to judge this store off of my one experience, but I feel as if I need to share. I am extremely flustered at Targets customer service. I called Targets Toy section to ask about Squishmallow's for my son, and when someone finally did pick up the phone, they seemed VERY annoyed that I called. I asked if they have any squishmallow capsules in stock, or if they order them, the worker repeatedly asked me what I was talking about for at least 20 seconds. As I was pronouncing "squishmallow" syllable by syllable, I was interrupted and rudely told "wait hold on", and got hung up on. I waited for 4 minutes on the call, finally, the toys and games department began ringing again by default. My call was declined. read more

Don't do online ordering for store pick up here. They will charge you and notify you that the order is ready whether it is available or not. They won't let you know if they don't have what you ordered. You will either login to see that your order was cancelled with no reason listed (after your notification that the order is ready for pickup), or you'll show up and they'll tell you that they don't have your order. I bought two metal tins with wooden lids and one of the lids broke when I tried to open it. They wouldn't return the item because they told me it has no value. After exploring the area around here we opted to stop at the store in order to get some items we would have normally got from the target closer to home and I was happy we did. This target is a good size and had a lot of variety in the items you may want and is in a great location and surrounded by many other stores making it easy to get the things you may need. The store was well laid out and spacious. The staff was very friendly in helping us find everything that was needed and at one point while I was reading the shopping list to my husband a staff member just opted to stop and tell me every aisle everything on my list was in making our shopping go by very quickly and easy. There weren't many cash registers open for the amount of people who were waiting to cash out. They should have had a staff member open another just to get the lines moving a bit more but it didn't take too long to get through the lines. Overall, a great location that I was happy to go to. If it wasn't so far away from home I would be happy to make this my normal target read more

Why is it whenever I walk in with the intention of buying a few things on my list, I end up leaving with a cart full of merchandise?!! Everytime. That's because Target is a one-stop-shop for everything I need. From women's apparel, to everything I need for my baby (I was even registered here), to household items, HBA etc., they have it all. I've been to many Target stores in SD and OC, but this is one of my favorites. I prefer shopping at this store over Mission Valley as it's only one level and parking is never an issue. The store is clean and the staff exceed their "fast, fun, and friendly" motto. As a matter of fact, one team member went above and beyond a few weeks ago helping me with checking out my merchandise. My baby had fallen asleep in the fitting room and I had my arms full. Krystal showed urgency by personally taking my cart over to Guest Services. She removed all my items out of my cart and rang me up. Then she personally walked me to my car to help with a carry out--I didn't even have to ask--she offered herself. I was very impressed! I also have never had an issue returning items here. I'm not always good about keeping my receipts, but they look it up on my Target card. Even when I'm returning items without receipts (and I had a lot of duplicate gifts for my baby) it's been a hassle-free return for me. read more

I enjoy this Target more than Mission Valley mainly because it's all one level. No more taking the escalators up and down the floors to get what you want. But this time around, I find myself weaving in and out of all the aisles to find what I want. Decorating my apartment has been an ongoing process. I was highly disappointed and surprised to see how expensive their home goods are. You're better off going to Home Goods to shop for home goods, but that should go without saying. But what seems to be my little snafu at major discount retail stores is I always forget a bag at the register and I realize it when I'm back home. I've done this at a Walmart once with about $20 worth of things in the bag. This time it was a $12 hamper. Usually it's an easy fix. Just show your receipt to the customer service and sign a form in a binder where loss prevention is covered. Such is the case at this target. Overall, I would go to this Target more often, but perhaps the cashiers should be more aware to make sure the customer has all their bags. And the customer should too. read more

I was informed by the husband that we should buy a new salad container. We had already owned a container that came in a "nesting doll" set made by Sterilite. If you want quality, don't buy Sterilite. Our beloved Sterilite bowl did not seal properly and did not keep our salad as fresh as desired. It had been many moons since we had been to the Target on Sports Arena Blvd. Traffic on that street is always terrible on Saturday, but the parking lot next to this Target is far superior to the one at Mission Valley and at Clairemont for it is easier to find a space and get in and out of. As for the Target itself it is heavily shopped in and full of people in motorized wheelchairs. It's almost like they're training these people in there to form an army of morbidly obese folks in motorized wheelchairs. Despite this we were able to find a higher quality plastic container next to the grocery section not in the housewares section. My advice is to avoid coming to this Target on Saturday afternoon around three if you don't know the area very well and have an extreme case of road rage. read more

I've been surfing my whole life, and being that I'm half Irish I definitely know how to use sunscreen... this stuff sucks, surfed for an hour and I came out looking like a cooked lobster. Kaye is amazing! Today the child I nanny for and I went to Target so he could spend his hard-earned money from his piggy bank - it was all in change. Kaye was patient, enthusiastic, and encouraging to the kid I nanny for. Customers behind us in line were getting impatient, but she told my nanny kid not to worry about them, and she kept counting out the change. Then she told us about a coupon online that saved him $3.25. He was so excited about that! By the end, she had counted out $20.23 in change. She made his day! This place must be haunted or something. I don't exactly know what happened, but I know I will not be back. I declared my half hour here a complete waste of time because in that short time span, my cart was stolen twice! Or something like that... There was a family of 3 standing in a thin aisle and they were just loafing around 3 people wide. So I went around them and ditched my cart to get two aisles down and when i came back less than a minute later, it was gone. The worker who was grabbing carts felt bad, as it looks like he took it from exactly where I left it, but the perplexing thing is that he said nothing was in it when he took it. I believe him, he had absolutely no time to put any of the items back. I had 4 items in it. He was nice and apologetic and gave me a new cart. So I refilled my cart, went through the store adding more stuff and then stopped my cart in a visible spot and walked away from it while searching movies for about 3 minutes, looking to make sure my cart was there every minute or so. I came back, and either some one took my cart again and an empty one was in it's place or someone emptied the contents of my cart and left it. Either way, that was F'd up and I can't shop that way, so I left. Not to mention that the parking lot and area in general is so congested, it almost makes it not worth going here even if I lived close by. read more

I decided I wanted diarrhea, so I had lunch at the mini Pizza Hut cafe inside this store. To enter this newly spruced up red shit box, you have to walk past Bum Alley USA. Now that there's a bum lounge conveniently located inside the entrance of the store, you can be even more assured to get scabies as you attempt to sip your soy latte from sbux. I think Target has me confused with someone who's had an infarction. Because there's no way in god's green hell that anyone would be willing to pay their prices.
