I am here mainly to give Jennifer N..from the new Ulta inside target a good review. I shop at this target quite often. I have a target in Azusa walking distance from me , but I still drive to the San dimas target to shop because I like it better. A month ago they remodeled and added an Ulta and makes my shopping trip even more fulfilling. Jennifer N was very polite and very outgoing, my sister stopped to get one item before we headed to checkout and Jennifer N greeted us and asked us if we had linked our Target and Ulta accounts yet, she gave us the QR code to easily do it. Here to do a return from a drive-up order. It was not busy at all (1 person ahead of me in the return line). I gave the lady the barcode from my TARGET online receipt. I asked her if they still had the same item in stock (because the one I got at the drive up did not have the correct lid for the storage tote). She checked stock and it was completely sold out, even online. That's the reason for the 3 stars. I would've given 2 but she really tried to help me get the same item. I opted for the return and decided to look in-store to see what selections were available. Next time, I'll check the product before I drive off. This review is for the online order pickup. They should change the pickup time from"Ready within 2 hours" to 4-6 hours because that's what they told me on 9/22, it'll take up to 6 hours. After the 4th hour, I told them to cancel but they said they couldn't do it from their end. So they suggested not to pickup my items when they're ready. The staff said "Target won't charge your card if the items are not picked up." which is not the right info. Target will still charge you but will refund the credit card if items are not picked up. They charged my credit card on 9/22, refunded on 9/27 (since I didn't pickup). Just FYI for future customers who want to use the online order pickup, allow 4-6 hours. read more

This target is just amazing. They have so many options for so many items, all for a great price. The whole store is organized well and the signs are well placed. Sadly, they don't have as many options in their food area anymore but they still have a well stocked pizza hut and a starbucks. Also, it is a little tough to find an employee to help if you are in the middle of the store but if you search you will be able to find one pretty quickly. I definitely recommend this Target if you need literally anything. read more

I'm a frequent target shopper and am usually happy with the service there. Unfortunately the San dimas location failed to deliver. Placed an order for pickup and was given a 2 hour window. Unfortunately target was understaffed and couldn't pick our order off the shelf. The problem here was the associate at the customer service counter who explained it could be up to 5 hours until our order was ready or the other option which was cancel our order. His attitude was unprofessional. I don't know what's happened to customer service but whoever the manager is here you should really focus on training your associates properly. read more

Online price match. Was just here and spoke with Kyle in the Electronics Dept. He said online price match is only if sold by Amazon. So, he couldn't honor the discounted price I found online. It would had been fine, but he said it in a condescending way while laughing at me. I already have an online order for BTS' Proof Standard Album at this same store. Just 5 min ago I had the nastiest interaction with the returns employee, woman in her 20s, long dark brown hair, no name tag. Her attitude was rude and aggressive and it's the first time I've had such bad service at this Target. What isn't there to say about this target. I'm very disappointed in how every target around me including this one have gone downhill very much. I've shopped at target for decades and am deeply disappointed in how incredibly long it took for my drive up order to be ready. Not only that but when I called the customer service desk 6 TIMES and was hung up on 6 TIMES. I was not helped like I needed to be and when I tried cancelling my order through the target app it would not allow me to because there was an "error" that occurred. Wish they did online orders. Don't let the open option on the app fool you, I ordered at 4:50pm and it's now 8pm never started my order and when I called, they sent me to the Order Pickup department and hung up on me. Let's not forget the most important part, unlike most major grocery and retail businesses, Target charges you BEFORE your order is done. So even though I canceled my items, I won't have my money back until it processes in 2-3 business, which won't be til Tuesday or Wednesday. And I STILL need my items so I have to go out and get them myself, which isn't a problem (this is how we did it in the olden days). So now I'm out even more money and it's whatever but if you don't have it in stock or don't have the staff to fulfill the order, just say that. This place is horrible. Specifically the starbucks section. I was trying to get coffee and I was denied being able to buy coffee here. I was told it was protocol to not allow customers to get coffee when shopping. What is upsetting is the customers right in front were allowed to buy coffee and allowed to go in and shop. Then when I said I'd like to buy buy and go outside I was told now they can't sell me coffee because the don't believe I'll walk outside. I spoke to a young manager here and she explained the policy about not walking around the store with coffee. Which I said I understand and I wasn't trying to do that. All I wanted was some coffee and walk outside which I was denied to do. The manager offered no resolution to this problem whatsoever, she just kept explain about the protocol which I kept reiterating I was going to buy the coffee and walk outside. While we are doing this back and forth the starbucks closed and I wasn't allowed to buy my coffee. This was just unbelievable that I was told I couldn't buy coffee because I wasn't believed I would follow the protocol. This Target needs to train their employees better and give much better customer experience because my experience was horrible. I noticed someone else reviewed they were yelled at by employees. I was too today. I didn't know they changed self checkout to 10 items or less and I was checking out... there was no line but one of the girls shouted at me, "NEXT TIME THIS LANE IS 10 ITEMS OR LESS" just woah. There's a much nicer way to say that without causing a scene. I had no idea the policy changed. Also they only had 1 register open... and there was no line in self check out so I just went there and I didn't see any sign that said 10 items or less. I don't understand how the cashiers are just as slow as Walmart's cashiers during rush hour. There were 3 people in front of me and it takes 10 mins per person. I struggle to understand how it takes that long to check something out. There were 4 lanes open and the self check out was backed up into a 10 people line. Target I love you BUT... The pros of this store: 1.) It's never too crowded and the customers are not like those found in other targets. 2.) The store is pretty clean when I come here. 3.) Sales associates are very nice and helpful. 4.) The parking is great even with a Trader Joe's nearby. The cons of this store: 1.) The shelves are never fully stocked. I've been coming here for a couple of years and even pre COVID it seems someone came in looting and took all their sh*t. 2.) Even with a pretty empty store there is always a wait at the registers. There can be a ton of people waiting and one or two associates at the registers. What gives?! 3.) The drive up right now peri COVID is HORRENDOUS! I pulled up and waited 20 minutes and not a soul came out. There are 12 cars waiting so I did a welfare check and called in to make sure their isn't a stick up. Welp no one answered the phone. It rang for 2 minutes! I will probably still come here out of convenience but please hire more people to stock your shelves and attend to drive up! I simply love target. They have anything you could possibly need. You need groceries, target has them. You need furniture, target has them. You need electronics, target has them. Anything you need can conveniently be found in this target. There are plenty of employees to help you in the electronics, but if you need help elsewhere, you will need to hunt for an employee. Very poor customer service... my little brother bought me a $70 digital video game for Christmas. Mind you, Best Buy had that game for $35.99, but that's a different story and his fault for not checking lol. However, it's a game i already have. Everything is untouched and i have my receipt. I'm not asking fir a refund, but rather an exchange for something i don't already own. What i got is as a "sorry, nothing i can do. It's yours now." I realize there are policies but I've also been around like enough to now there are always exceptions to policies for one off situations, but it'd require someone with some empathy and some common sense. I don't know what was going on at this store tonight. Was followed around the store by one of their plain clothed security personnel the entire time I was there. Every time I turned the corner this guy was there. Everywhere I went he popped up. I even caught him on the walkie talkie describing me and what I was wearing, and as I passed him yet again he refused to make eye contact with me even though I was staring him down. Saw him talking with the security lady in the front as I was leaving the store, so I made sure my receipt was visible. All I did was use the restroom and somehow that made it seem like I needed to be followed. It made me so uncomfortable I will not be back. read more

Don't bother placing a pickup/drive up order if you expect to pick it up earlier that 5 hours later. The last 5 or 6 times I've done a drive up order, I've had to wait 4+ hours before receiving notice that the order was ready DESPITE the app saying "ready within 2 hours" in multiple areas when I placed the order. If you can't complete the order in that time frame, just update the app. Let us know it's gonna be 6 hours or whatever it's gonna be. This is not the first time I've had issues with this particular location. Maybe it's worth it to drive a little farther to give my business to a different Target. read more

What is going on with this store??? I rarely am able to reach anyone by phone at this location. I have selected all departments in hopes of having someone pick up with no success. Are the ringers off? Are the employees deaf? The background Target music and info to loud to hear the phones? Please answer the calls! Frustrating to not get one person to do so. If you have, you got lucky. When you do get ahold of someone it is a gamble if they will assist you, place you on hold for a lengthy time, or just tell you sorry they cannot do something. Sometimes I am able to get a person who is willing to not be lazy and check on something in store or on their computer but that is rare. On a good note, I am still enjoying the curbside pick up. A lot faster than Walmart. However, still unable to get ahold of someone if you call the number at parking space so use the app. read more

I just tried to buy Skippy's Reduced Fat Peanut Butter at self checkout. It rang up as "do not sell." The cashier who came up to me checked on why it was coming up as such. She was told the peanut butter was recalled, and it could not be sold. I asked if it"s recalled, why is it still on the shelf. She did not know. Of all the Target locations that I have been to recently, San Dimas is definitely one of the top branches. Jessica in the pharmacy was kind, helpful, and friendly. She even assisted me in finding items that were not in the over-the-counter medicine section. While browsing through the aisles, I even noticed that she addressed some customers by name (probably Rx regulars). I would expect that at local pharmacies but not at a big chain like CVS Pharmacy. That is some great customer service for sure. There was another team member that was managing the checkout lines. She was friendly and polite to everyone, including the customers who did not realize that they had accidentally cut in line by going directly to the cashier. Rather than admonish them for not observing the new normal, she smiled and redirected them with enthusiasm. I have not seen this high standard of service at any big box stores in the LA area at all. This store is awful for a lot of reasons. First off, you have management completely oblivious to their staff just standing around while the checklanes grow out of control. Then you don't even have enough staff to bother opening up more lanes to backup, so now you have Starbucks and your Cafe backed up with customers. Staff lacks common sense, I asked a team member to find a product and they never came back! Seriously? Get your priorities in order! I've found numerous products that have been expired in their market and fresh section of the store, when I've brought it to a team members attention, they just ignored it!
