This is usually my go-to store, and I rarely have any issues. However, during my most recent visit, I had a disappointing experience. I asked an employee named Andrew for help as he was walking by with another employee and said, "Excuse me." He responded with a loud, deep sigh and appeared annoyed. Because of his reaction, I told him never mind and that I would figure it out myself. He then asked how he could help with a firm voice, but I explained that I no longer needed assistance since his initial response felt unprofessional. He attempted to speak to my partner to offer help, but I told him that his approach toward customers was not appropriate. He ended up calling another employee to assist me. The entire interaction was disappointing and unprofessional. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the situation. read more

Docking a star because checkout lines were kinda slow and that "sale" signage feels a bit louder than the actual savings in some spots. As I customer of Target I was sadly disappointed at their customer service regarding my request to use a Family Restroom. I went to this Target, as my wife was going to shop, to use the restroom.I observed immediately that one of the toilet stalls was full of excrement and was locked closed. The other restroom was occupied. I am 60 years old and needed to use the restroom so I approached a Target employee ( younger female wearing a hijab ) and requested the code for the Family restroom. Her response was only a Team Leader could give access to the Family restroom. I answered that seemed ludicrous and would contact Corporate Office regarding this issue. I could see her expression change and she sought out another employee . I believe this employee pretended to be a Tam Leader. His name was Keshawn and he explained that unless I had a child with me, I could not use the family restroom. I told him I did not believe that was true, and I know that's not true, and just said thanks for the answer, but he did not give me a solution. I understand that San Francisco has a homeless issue and crime problem, but that should not affect the customer service of Target. I explained to Keshawn the problems I had of being 60 years old and in need of a restroom. He did not seem to care and although it is not his fault, he should be better trained, have a better understanding of someone older having bathroom breaks and employing customer service professionalism. read more

I'm pretty sure they're sick of me coming in almost every other day to buy something to upgrade for the house. The selection in value here is really great. You ever have ones of those nice Sundays with your family that just gets ruined by rude employees? Welp, it happened to us today. Long, but hopefully informative story to come. We had just had a nice morning of brunch and some time at the playground, and we decided to make a trip to Target for some final back-to-school items. It was somewhat busy at the store (per the usual on weekends), but we were able to make our way around and grab the things we needed. One store employee in the grocery section even asked if there was anything they could help us find. So far, so good. Now came the checkout experience... some minor chaos in this area. They used to have one long line roped off, and they would direct you to the next open register -- loved that efficiency. But now it's just a mess of checkout lines and a every-person-for-themself philosophy: Do we line up down the aisle? There's 2 checkout lanes in this row, do we do 1 line at the front or line up in front of each? (insert shrug emoji) So anyways, we're 3rd in line, and it's clear the employee (Andy) for this checkout is either new or has no sense of urgency/efficiency. The people he's currently checking out are clearly annoyed at the pace. The lady in front of us must've been waiting for a while. So, when Andy stops with ~8 items left and tells the lady to go to the line in the next lane. The lady does only to find a line that was longer than ours, to which she asks why he directed her there. Andy says, "oh, just come back here", but the lady had reached her limit; she put her one item down, said "it's not that important", and walks off. Andy shrugs and continues slowly checking out the current customers. We're next in line, and with 3 items left, Andy stops again and decides he needs to tell us to scoot up a little; I'm irritated given we're right there at the start of the belt, so I say "we're good, just focus on checking out." Yes, not the nicest thing to say, but again, we're all getting irritated at how slowly he's moving. Andy clearly is offended at this and proceeds to make snarky/sarcastic remarks throughout our checkout ("How's YOUR day today? "I'll just keep focusing on this" etc.), even ending the transaction with, "Well, I hope YOU have a nice day" to my wife. All good, my bad; Andy wasn't happy with what I said. Could he have shrugged it off and killed me with kindness? That's what I used to do when I worked in retail, but I guess Target doesn't training employees to do that anymore. Or maybe it's because his manager (named either Shanter/Shatner?) is just straight up RUDE. My dad was behind us and checking out separately. The checkout in front of ours opened up, so my dad went ahead (I assisted bc he's elderly); but we were told by the guy standing there -- Shanter/Shatner -- that it wasn't open. We suggested he should turn off the light because it's confusing, to which he replied, "Oh I can keep the light on if I want because I'm here doing something." I look at his name tag so I can note his name, and he says, "There's my name. I'm the manager." with a IDGAF attitude. Nice. At this point I'm done and almost tell my wife to cancel our checkout, but my kids are there, so we just finish things up and get out. I've been to this Target many times without issue so I'm hoping it's a one-off, but I may just need to stick with online orders or store pickup going forward. read more

I love this Target because it's small enough to get in and out. There's enough employees to help and do their job when you need help. My favorite thing is actually using the Target app and ordering to pick up at the drive up. I love that I can add a Starbucks to my pick up. It's the impulse buy that I feel I deserve instead of buying Random things when I enter. So instead of entering and shopping, I treat myself to coffee. Today was a bit different. For one, it started raining when I arrived at my pick up. My order wasn't ready and they told me to cancel pick up and resend. Fine. Did that. No problem. Then.... The guy came out with my order of groceries and other things including socks and t shirts. It was rainy. I checked the don't need bags because I have my own. The coffee drink was spilled all over the basket and the stuff in the cart. The guy apologized and said he'd be right back with a new drink. So I bagged up my stuff in the rain since it was wet. I'd rather bag it than use their bags since they use way too many bags for stuff. Tip: let them know you're coming in advance before being nearby. Use their bags if it's raining so your stuff doesn't get wet. They have a smaller selection of things at this location. It's still easy and there's good parking. read more

Target is a department store, and I chose the one that is located at 2675 Geary Blvd. San Francisco, California. I needed to buy a new belt. First I tried Ross Stores and I discovered how bad a store can be, and then I tried Target and it was so very much better than Ross. Service at Target was excellent. Target had plenty of friendly employees who were able to answer questions including: "Where are your belts located?" Soon I saw what they had available. I was not sure of what sized belt I needed, so I took two belts into the fitting room. Ross Stores stupidly would not allow any belts inside of their fitting room. The reason that Ross employees gave is that "A belt is not clothing" which is a dishonest and stupid reason because, of course a belt is clothing, but after dealing with their staff's idiocy I felt that I needed a belt of whiskey. To save time, I chose not to drink. By contrast, the people at Target were helpful and nice. In Target's fitting room I found the right sized belt for me. The price was reasonable. Their cashier was friendly and efficient. I walked out of Target with my purchase, very happy to have had such a pleasant shopping experience, and so happy that I wrote this review. Update, this place is horrible, I am closing my Target card next week which is basically useless anyway, it really does not save you much. I was walking by the customer service desk heading to the cashier, where this bitter woman all of a sudden makes a derogatory comment about my hair. Yes, I am young, but my hair is greying and falling out due to a heart issue along with an autoimmune disorder, and both disorders are fighting wiith each other to see who can destroy my health first. Anyway, So I get insulted for having the audacity to have a health issue, bye Target, this is the first time I had come back in almost 11 months, and yep, still a horrible place. Closing my card next week, there are obviously more online retailers where I don't get treated like garbage for having the audacity to buy things with a health issue, this place is absolute garbage. read more

I wandered into Man Land by mistake, assuming all shampoos would be stocked in the same place. Yes, it started to dawn on me that most of the products said Men or Beard on them. I was drawn into the great packaging, graphics, tasteful black & grey colors, sleek designs, and great ingredients. Yeah, but they had that 'not for you, missy' distinctive Old Spice/ musky aroma. So, apparently men now own the world of hair care too?! What's left? They're making inroads in the jewelry department, and already have the better made clothes, sturdier shoes, .. and now this! By now I was mumbling to myself. Suddenly, without signage, I found myself in a sea of cheap looking, graphically challenged, nauseatingly perfumed, pink & purple bottles of sulfates. Oh, but there are choices alright. You can smell like a dime store perfume or a smoothie. Hello lavender Tide Pod, coconut cream, vanilla bean. I stopped by after work last night to pick up some essentials before heading home. Anyone that knows me, knows that I love Target. It's indeed my happy place! It's not far from work, so, I finally decided to head over and check it out. After finding parking in a very chaotic parking lot (chaos because of traffic coming in and out and the narrowness of the aisles...this is not your regular Target parking lot LOL) I head inside. What I noticed right away that there's elevators and escalators. This is a 2 story Target?!?! I was mind blown ...I never seen such a thing! I thought that was really cool. Even though it was a little busy with all the other customers, I didn't wait long to use self checkout once I was ready to check out. The store was clean and prett well stocked from what I can see. This Target simply is not safe. The criminal activity is constant and highly dangerous to its staff and patrons. IPS security is spread thin and not supported. SFPD does not respond. This store is a huge liability and corporate is very aware of the known risk of life and death situations. This is not a situation of mere merchandise theft prevention management. Criminals walk out with whatever they want, whenever they want. They rule this store. Target has created dangerous conditions and knowingly placed lives in danger every moment this store is open. Proceed with caution. IPS security can only do so much to protect patrons from physical harm. I will never shop here again. My life was threatened, I feared for my impending death and SFPD failed to show up. Private security with guns in this County have no ability to protect you and the criminals know this. I enjoyed this target. I was able to get everything I needed. I was visiting the city. I asked an employee for help they were polite and helpful. I was looking for a particular Lego set. They have a nice selection of Legos. The items were locked up in a display case. I pushed the button for help and an associate came right away. The pricing was comparable to other Targets. They also have an in store Starbucks, which I rated separately. They are generally well stocked in all departments and have a good selection of priducts. This is your typical target. It has 2 stories, and I think it pretty much makes up the size of the target in Daly City. It has decent stock, but I was sad to find that the kids clothing section was small, and that they don't carry vinyl records. We meet again Target. Since I was so smitten with my most recent SF Target adventure - I felt like I had to go big and hit up this Target as well. I found a plethora of fun finds and my cart was brimming with key basics. From pop up hampers, to linen robes, sunscreen, wet wipes, and much more - I felt empowered stocking up on the essentials. The staff here were helpful and assisted me with taking my cart down to the parking lot where I was able to easily grab an Uber. My main complaint with this Target is the lack of phone customer service. I discovered the next day after my visit here - that the expensive spray sunscreen that I purchased did not work. I tried to locate my receipt and I gave this Target a call to see what the best steps would be - if I could not find the receipt. I tried over 8 times throughout the day (and the following day) - and each time no one answered. There was no way to get anyone on the phone. Unfortunately I ended up finding the receipt - after we were no longer in the city. I like that this Target is easy to get to and from, when it comes to their accessible parking lot, but it was a bummer that there was no way to talk to anyone on the phone (without making a trip out here) - when an issue arose. I will never fully understand Target. I understand Costco, Walmart, Whole foods/Amazon, Trader Joes et al....but Target...Crickets. It is a smattering of this and that and nothing of great merit. Target is not my typical shopping place. But what a day today. The smoke alarm is blaring but we aren't cooking and there is no fire. We unhooked it and the most pathetic sounds were still coming from the guest bedroom. Problem, my upstairs neighbor has a dishwasher leak and water had found its way to our unit through that smoke detector. That smoke/co detector needs to be replaced. Where to buy? My neighbor has to pay but the prices at my usual spots, Costco, Amazon and Lowes have GONE UP. I like my neighbor. I want a better price. Don't know why I checked Target but the online price for the "in stock"detector was reasonable, $40 vs nearly $70 elsewhere. Went to the store. Was surprised to see that the shelf price was nearly $70. But a terrific clerk said checkout cashier would price match. They did. NO HASSLE. Target is now on my list to check out for things that I would typically buy elsewhere. My advice, check their website to see if what you want is in stock. Go to the store and be prepared to ask for a price match. The best deals aren't always at Costco, Amazon, Lowes or Ace. Sometimes that are at Target. read more

* HULU Giftcard Warning! * Shopping this evening 8/17/25, i purchased a HULU $50 giftcard and it seems to be tampered with, the Hulu website shows an error message for - invalid number - and the code on the card (ishoulda checked it) appears embossed on a film and its different from older Hulu gift cards. I'm sad that many stores at this Masonic mall closed, but glad this Target didn't shut down when a few other Targets closed in SF. It's the closest to where I live. I enjoy using the self checkout, so I can get $0.05 discount for bringing my own bag haha. I like buying the Target brand for Swiffer refills here. It's also nice that they have a Starbucks inside. I found out I can use split payment here today, so I was able to use up the $1.37 left in my Visa prepaid gift card and then pay the rest with my credit card. Oh Target! I have to update this review as we are now approaching Endemic. The last few times I was here, I was able to buy Clorox wipes and other cleaning supplies quite easily. Also, your staff is super friendly and your hired security staff very helpful.
