To begin with I love Target, I don't know what I would do if I didn't live by one! This one is okay for a Target, I've seen a few nicer ones, but many more worse. It's a little crowded and picked over, however that's gotten better since the new one opened in Marina. It has a in-store Starbucks (cause you know the real one across the parking lot isn't enough), and a cafe. They have a limited grocery area, just the basics, and they also sell wine and beer. They also have a nice habit of not giving me all my bags before I walk out. And no, they won't refund the stuff back to your credit card over the phone even if they're holding it in their hand, they make you drive all the way back to get it. $%#%^#^ But hey, it's Target. read more

This Target offers what Target normally does. As a Target, this place is very consistent. However, this Target is much more crowded than the Marina location and the parking lot is a mess. I do like the convenience of the shopping center for this Target, but if I just need to go to a Target, then I will drive the extra minutes to Marina. read more

I usually enjoy going to Target, but not this one so much. It is a larger store so they have a variety of merchandise. The food court is decent. This store is priced like your typical Target. The store isn't always organized, but I don't think that is the fault of the store but rather the customers. The customers that seem to frequent this store don't seem to care if they just put items where they don't belong and leave their trash from the food court lying around. The cashiers are the store are ok, some are friendly others are just there for a check. The parking lot is horrible, but that is due to it servicing all of the store in the shopping center. Lock your vehicle as a person of interest has been seen checking parked cars doors if unlocked at this Target, Sand City, CA. The security fails to do any reporting or taking reports. One time car was parked with no dent and upon return car parked next to mine left a dent in my quarter rear panel. Went in Target to request lic plate # on vid and security stated only P.D. can request. This place is OK to shop but since the Corona 5G Virus it is not as safe or easy to shop because of the sanitation issues. read more

yay! this is my favorite quick stop by far! and i highly recommend SARAH, shes a cashier with a very approachable personality! she had me signed up for the red card, both the debit and Cc and both got approved love how they deal whenever i do couponing! yay! there's also an asian lookin guy who's very nice as well! but yeah there's one white big lady standing by the self check out when i was there and shes rude! the scenario was i was the second n line from the lady paying n the register.. they cldnt find the price of the tiny cat toy, i joked "no price that maybe free" and that big lady looked at me while she was standing near the cashier and whispered "free, nice try"! well.. i held my temper but yeah shes rude! why u cant jst be a part of the joke? from then on, everytime i visit target i never ever ever go to the register where that big lady stationed without that mean rude big lady, this target is PERFECT!! read more

Every trashcan was over flowing, smelled like urine and the handicap stall's door was loose and nearly fell over when I was trying to close it! The TP had to be fought just to tear off a square, but... Bottom line, I'd rather soil myself rather than go back to that place! read more

After traveling down to Southern California and visiting a few Targets down there I thought my local Target deserved a review. I find Sand City Target to be amazing! It's an enjoyable store to shop at. It's been remodeled in the past year. It looks great! The selection is fabulous! The employees are very helpful. The only flaw is the bathrooms. This location is absolute garbage. They do a very poor job keeping the store stocked, the bathrooms are constantly messy, the customer service is lacking, and most workers aren't trained properly or have little basic communication skills. I've seen many Target stores before and love them, so I know that it's just this particular location. Needless to say, it's worth it to make the drive to Marina to avoid the Sand City store. As someone who used to work there, I find the front end manager to be an unprofessional imbecile. Upon being hired, they scheduled outside my availability on days I had been approved off, didn't train me correctly because they couldn't find anyone to do it, and even then, reprimanded me for doing things "below my pay grade" to stay busy. When I brought in my letter of resignation, they asked me to come back later because the manager was too busy to see me that day even though I just had to hand it to him. When I returned a few months later to shop, that same manager and other employees sneered at me from behind the cashier ringing me up, and quoted my letter of resignation as a jibe as they stood by idly. Totally unprofessional, and frankly, this location gives Target a bad name. read more

This place really has gone downhill recently. The biggest issue is that the shelves are rarely stocked in the grocery section, one of the main reasons why I shopped here. Then the selections when they are stocked have been cut down. I can't find the items that I want. Then self checkout has malfunctioned a few times for me. Fortunately the main computer at Target's headquarters caught it, and didn't double charge me. But this particular store though is on my avoid list. I am now going to Smart and Final. read more

This is for the sweet lady who helped me yesturday at the Pharmacy! I believe her name is Rosa. You could tell she puts customers first! The Marina CVS ran out of my medication so they called the Sand City Target because that was the closest one that had my medication. When I got there I mentioned about Marina called them and right away Rosa remembered. Even though it took a little longer then she quoted, she still did a Good job. I've shopped at this particular Target store since it opened and until now was a loyal customer. They do an outstanding job in merchandising and the employees are for the most part, helpful and efficient. However, over the last several years there has been an on-going problem with the checkout people who refuse to fold clothes and not stuff them into the bags. It's not a case of intricate folding, but simply taking clothes and putting them in the bag so they aren't smashed and wrinkled when you take them out. I've had several talks with the person(s) who oversee the checkout staff and was assured that this was an on-going problem they'd had many complaints about and training had been stepped up; dumping clothes into the bags was not acceptable. I also added that when you nicely ask for things to be folded and/or placed in bag so wrinkles won't be so bad, usually the checkout person's attitude indicates that this is way beyond their scope of responsibility. I was told that this kind of thing is simply not tolerated and was in the process of being handled along with the way things are put into shopping bags. Yesterday (04/30) I had this problem again and additionally had come across an employee on a break with food and drink, talking at the front of the store where accessories are located, with employees who were not on a break. That was not an issue for me, but the fact that this employee was leaning on the new merchandise and dropping food on the shelves was an issue. I talked with the store manager Kevin, who was completely and utterly unresponsive and at one point told me that he had "no control" over the employees in the store if they were on a break or lunch (I understand that if they were shopping there on off-hours, but this wasn't the case). When I questioned the fact that this employee was getting merchandise dirty, he had no comment other than to repeat the lack of control response. I called Corporate Headquarters in Minneapolis - the Customer Rep Rochelle, was totally awesome; listened and responded the way Kevin should have responded. I was assured that this was not the way Target wanted it's employees to represent the Target name in regard to any of the incidents. Documentation will be forwarded to the leadership team both at national and regional levels. I've no idea (and she could not assure me that anyone would call me with an update) what will happen, but at least Corporate has a far better attitude towards customers. I need to shop at Target because it offers lower prices and has good products, but will now have to drive to Marina and hope this is not a problem there as well. It's too bad because in today's competitive retail market service is all that stores have to offer that sets them apart from other retailers and this store in Sand City has a way to go to correct these issues. read more

This is the most poorly stocked Target I have ever been to. Frequently, shelves in the grocery section are half empty. Some items are rarely available. The Marina Target is much better so it makes one wonder if this is a management issue. read more

Brian in the wireless mobile department helped me out. After seeing the lines at the Apple store to get a new iPhone, I figured, why not try Target? No lines, no waiting, and they had the phone I wanted in stock. Brian even transferred everything over from my old phone to my new one. Target also allows you to use the trade in value of your old phone on your new phone purchase. The Apple Store doesn't have a smooth way to do this. I only come to this Target if I absolutely have to. The people that work here that smoke all take their break right in front of the store so you have to walk through a wall of carcinogens to get into the store. When you actually get through the front door you are greeted with the smell of blood. I am not kidding. I have almost had to walk out twice now. Horrible customer service. Bought something for 20 dollars - daughter returned with the receipt, but for some reason it was not scanned and so they only gave her $9.99 back (the current sale price). I brought it all in and pointed out the error and requested they refund the rest. They did the whole "it's our policy" line - apparently you only have one chance to return something - even if it is their error. They said they looked at the video - but wouldn't let me see it. This feedback is long overdue I just want to give a shoutout to Andrea, Salina M. and Leanna.This ladies are great, very pleasant and always accommodating. Andrea is no longer at Starbucks but she is still at Target store at the customer service which fit her personality perfectly, she has a kind warmth aura around her. Anyway it is nice to shop at the store where the associates goes beyond just a worker but an actual human being who is genuinely kind. This Target is close by my house so if I need something and am in a hurry I will run here. My preference is the Target in Stilwell Park area by Marina. This Target usually feels a bit disorganized and is usually packed with longer lines. But, the location is convenient. read more

i do not shop here enough to know where anything is and when I need help, people just plain ignore me or roll their eyes and find someone who can help, but not always. not that great. the last time i was there, a conversation with a young lady who worked there went something like this: Me: Hello. Can you help me find (whatever it was)? Her: No. (with a smile) Me: No? Her: No. Me: Why not? Her: I'm going home now. This review is for the pharmacy at target. I brought in a legal prescription from my home state of New York, which for some reason the pharmacist, Susie, refused to fill for me. I can honestly say this has never happened to me before. I politely asked her to explain the policy to me, and to provide documentation as to why she wouldn't fill my prescription. She then told me she "didn't have time" with the snarkiest attitude and smirk on her face. I'm sorry, but my health is the priority and you can't just refuse to fill a prescription, without a legitimate reason. I've had New York prescriptions filled in California many times in the past so I know this "policy" is not accurate. There is nothing less legitimate about my prescription because it came from my home state (Carmel is my second home and my doctors are all located in New York). Obviously I will go somewhere else but I do not appreciate the huge inconvenience or the extremely unprofessional and rude attitude from the pharmacist Susie. read more

Not much I can say that will really help out everyone..its Target. If you don't know what Target is you must live under a rock. Anyways, they added a grocery section a few months back so I tend to do some shopping here rather than go spend a few extra bucks at Save Mart. They do not have fresh veggies and have a limited fruit section so don't expect to buy those there. This store is laid out pretty well and despite the big amounts of people in the store it's kept well. There is a small small section for sports clothing. My biggest gripe is they have some LA Dodger gear but depending on the time of year, a healthy collection of Giants, A's, 49ers, Raiders, and SJ Sharks stuff for people of all ages. The little booties for the babies are cute! I like to add a little something special to my reviews and here's a tip: If you are looking for ice cube trays, they are not in the kitchen section, they are by the trash bags. My girlfriend and I spent 20 minutes looking for them, literally combing every inch of it before getting the insight from a cashier when we gave up. read more

This location is always so "picked over." I think they need either more help, or more competent people. I got in line to check out last week and a guy cut right in front of me. The checker, probably because it would have been awkward for her, didn't say anything, but proceeded to take her s w e e t time, chit-chatting with the guy...and getting into the entire credit card application process, and when it was about at the 15 minute mark of waiting for me, she finally saw my face and put my products I had placed on the conveyer belt for another cashier...two check-stands down. She placed me in front of a line of people, which when I walked over there, was incredibly awkward, because everyone thought I was cutting in line. There is another Target right down the road, maybe that one would be a better choice for next time... read more
