This is hands down the largest Target I have ever been to. It spans several floors, and lord only knows how much square footage is involved here. On the downside finding exactly what we were looking for required a lot of trips between floors until we figured it out. There were not a lot of employees to be found, and the ones we did find weren't exactly helpful. For such a huge store, located where it is, there seemed to be a shortage of customers as well. It had a dystopian feel to the place for sure with harsh fluorescent lighting to it and empty aisles. I don't know how to describe it better than that. This target is okay. Sometimes they have what you're looking for or sometimes they are all out of stock. The tech employees are always nice and helpful however the cashiers are not. I've been through George's line many times. He usually seems like he is just ready to go home. Today 12/6/25 around 3pm he did not greet me at all even after I said hello to him...he just started putting my items in a plastic bag and rung me up. Did not ask if I needed a bag and just put my stuff in there and charged me for the bag. I told him as he handed me my receipt he should ask people next time if they need a bag instead of just pressuring them into buying one since he just automatically puts your items in one. He ignored me and muffled something. I went on with my day. It's deceiving...are you going to give me a free bag or are you intimidating customers into buying one? I hate calling out employees names in reviews but George needs to do better. Be friendly and don't charge people for bags when you are the one putting my items into a bag I did not ask for. Yes I could have told him stop take the items out of the bag I don't need one but I thought maybe he was putting it in there automatically because it was free but nope he hurriedly put that bag charge on my total. I will avoid George and recommend others to avoid him as well if you want a pleasant checkout experience and not to be forced into buying a plastic bag. Target Northgate please train the front end employees on better customer service and to properly ask if a customer wants to purchase a bag or not. I only come to this target when I'm in need of a specific item usually. Best Buy didn't have what I needed so that's the only reason I stopped by today but George dampened the target shopping experience a bit with the bad vibes. Definitely not a go to target. I got a cologne from this Target a while back from the brand Demeter which has a nice cologne library. And while the brand has a great website with a huge variety obviously you can't tell if you like a fragrance through your computer. So you kind of need to know what works for you hence the need for a physical store. I love a clove fragrance and I found one by that perfume brand here and I enjoy it very much. A little goes a long ways but it's an enjoyable scent all the same. Perhaps not my most favorite in recent cologne explorations but nice all the same. As for the store itself...well it's typical Target. I used to really enjoy Target and shopped there constantly but with a reduction in book and DVD selection as well as the type of action figures I am looking for here has made me less of a visitor for sure. I also used to enjoy their clothing selection and bought a fair amount of it but alas my interest has died off there as well as the clothing doesn't catch my interest like it once did. But score on the cologne... that is something positive with my retail experience here! read more

Our Hackathon project required use of a stylus for the presentation, so bright and early at 8am I ordered a stylus enroute to this Target and assumed because it was so quiet it would be there when I arrived. I don't know why I even bothered as just like I found out with the Seattle REI, Seattle stores just don't respond promptly to online orders like California ones seem to. So I ended up just finding someone to show me where they were and purchasing them, cancelling my original order. I will say while the employee was helpful, they gave me incorrect information as the electronic stylus did not work on a Kindle Fire, so I'm glad I got a backup. But even the backup just wasn't very responsive, so I'll be trying to return both to a CA location this week. All in all, this was a very quiet Target in a bit of a rundown mall. But larger and not as insane as Pike Place always was, so overall four stars. read more

I had a pair of glasses made at this optical shop last year. I only wore them a few times before the upper corner of the right lens sustained some damage. When I went back and asked them to repair it, they told me they wouldn't help me because more than three months had passed. I am extremely dissatisfied with both the service and the quality of the glasses; I will not be returning to this place to get glasses in the future. read more

I love this neighborhood Target. Bathrooms are always clean, the floor shiny, and isles stocked. The two stories are accessible and parking is always easy. There are staff always getting carts and you hardly see random cards in a parking area which may worry it may hit a car. Drivers are cautious with kids and when it snows and there is ice it's easy to get to. The Target brands exploded over the last couple of years and I really like the Good and Gather. It's compatible to 365 and there are basic products at a valuable price. Goodfellow always has solid basics and it is comparable to some Zara basic shirts for a cheaper price. The Original Use brand is really fun and I appreciate the thoughtfulness the designers put into the clothing. My favorite thing in men's wear is the fun summer shirts. The patterns are unique and I choose Target over Amazon any time for shirts. Fit may be oversized. Lastly, Target has a good selection of vinyl. The exclusives are nice and I love the color vinyl. I noticed online has a better selection but I found a Coltrane and Bad Bunny for around $20 on sale. Customer service is hit or miss. Whether it's high school student workers or whether it's a first time job the inexperience shows. Staff don't seem to go out of their way to help out and I've complained a couple of times. Nonetheless, Target offers great deals and good products. The security team is elite and really works hard. The loss prevention manager is great and I feel safe whenever I shop here. I've seen some crazy stuff outside of Target with shoplifting and people on drugs. Great job Target. Please pass this review on to corporate. read more

I'm going to keep this short. My shopping experience was made miserable by Michael. It took him so long to get one or two people through his station talking the whole time, stopping while he's talking, while it felt like 15 people went through the cashier line next to me. I realize he's probably beloved to the people who work there, and he's positive and a nice man, but it's interminable, simply intermitable and torturous to be stuck in his line, while everyone behind you is out the door. Another long overdue Yelp post for a convenient site - Target in Seattle's Northgate neighborhood. Much larger than the Target sites in downtown Seattle, University District or Ballard, but not as huge as the behemoth one up in Lynnwood. What stands out for me after years of shopping here: parking garage, has a CVS pharmacy, and when I do need to find something they have better stock, selection, and prices than the Fred Meyer in Shoreline. Not great: exercise caution while in the parking garage, locked items like OTC meds like Tylenol-Advil-Aleve, and often no checkstands open which results in a long line for self checkout. This target has gotten pretty trashy the past year or so. Most of the check-outs are closed, creating very long lines. Many things are now locked up requiring a store clerk to access (pharmacy, soap/laundry, clothing), electronics, etc). There's no real point in coming here now as it takes forever to shop and even longer to pay and leave - I suspect this location will close soon. Worst customer service at this Target, I regret the day when I walked by the electronic section inquiring about the iPhone 17pro max, the person at the front that I said if I am with AT&T and then qualified to purchase one here. After he lied to me about, I'm qualified to just pay sales tax or nothing more, when in fact there's a monthly payment attached to this purchase, this person also said it will shipped to me to my house less than a week, needless to say that was a lie, when I went back the following day and not receiving the phone, the manager of the department told me since you misplaced your receipt there's nothing I can do to help you, and I have no idea who you talk to, after reaching out to AT&T to find out is not shipping out till a week and a half from that point on, no I have to sign for this phone when deliver I tried again to go back to target to get a tracking number, again, they unable to help and directed me to Upstairs to the service department, then they direct me to a phone number to call, which then they told me on the phone they cannot help me at all because I'm "not a target member". One time the heel broke off my shoe and I sprained my ankle and dropped my limoncello La Croix all over the floor but this lovely employee named Abraham cleaned up my La Croix and got me an ice pack for my ankle and even offered me a discount on a pair of new shoes. I wonder how he is doing now. I hope that they gave him a million billion dollar bonus. I really enjoy that this Target has not one but TWO levels. Wandering around this store truly makes me feel at peace. The layout is straightforward and easy to navigate, and it is very clean. So I live nearby and frequented this location at times in the past year or so. It's clean, nice, the employees are friendly and the checkout lines move pretty quickly. There's a Starbucks inside, that me and my boyfriend relax in from time to time, in between shopping trips. It's super hard to find Northgate Mall on Google, or any search for some reason and only Northgate station comes up. But it's a nice tranquil spot, to do your shopping at. read more

The Target at Northgate has been my go-to place for random supplies since I got my driver's license when I was 16 years old. Living between Northgate and Alderwood, I had a choice as to what shopping center to go to once I could drive. My sister lived and swore by Alderwood (in Lynnwood). My home neighborhood in Seattle is Northgate, so coming here was my first pick. Target is stacked in a multi-story building atop what is now DICK's Sporting Goods, but which has been various stores over the years. The parking lot has been packed throughout the day during the COVID-19 pandemic, something that used to not be the case so much pre-pandemic. Store sections are clearly labeled and it is easy to find what I am looking for. Workers are friendly both at the help desk and at check-out, even on simple issues such as finding a barcode on a tag tucked inside a pillow zipper so we could finish checking out. read more

Was hoping for a different experience years past my last review but nope.. guest service is still pretty crappy. Maybe it's a reflection upon the company or maybe they're just hiring ppl who do not give a damn. I used to work at the NG location when I was 16. Guest service and guest satisfaction was a big deal back then. Now, Target is trailing right behind Walmart in world class service. I went in looking for black Colsie pants. I couldn't find my size on the floor but saw that they had 2 online at this location. I walked over to guest services where the lady that "helped" me did absolutely nothing. She didn't offer to check the back nor did she offer to help me recheck the sales floor. When I asked why it shows there's 2 available, she said their inventory count is inaccurate or it could be in the basement and we do not have access to that. Um. Okay. How would she know the outcome if she didn't even check? I then went to another associates who actually went to the back and found the pair I was looking for. Thank you to that wonderful sales associate for actually trying and doing her job. I know they are pants but my gosh. I am a paying customer. I told the self check out staff what happened and she just had the most nonchalant, "I don't get paid enough to take your feedback or experience seriously" attitude. Target used to be my favorite store and I frequent this location because it's closest to home but I think it's time I spend my money elsewhere. read more

The Northgate Target store just keeps getting worse. I regularly see that the self checkout area closed in the middle of the day and sometimes only one cashier operating one line. When I try to order online it defaults to the Redmond store eventhough I have set the Northgate store as my store many times. Today I tried to order a basting brush and they wanted to charge me an 80 cent "regional" bag fee. And when I try to contact them it is a complete waste of time. It is hard to say what is worse. The store buying experience or the online shopping experience. Their attitude seems to be "you are stuck with us bexause there is no one else." This is one of the best Targets in the area. It has everything you need to shop successfully and I'm always super satisfied with my trips here. LOCATION & PARKING // Target is located right across from Northgate Mall (or, what used to be Northgate Mall). It's a huge Target with two floors so nothing feels too cramped, which I hate about other Targets. What I love about this Target is that there is a parking structure you can park in depending on what floor you want to enter from. CLEANLINESS & STOCK // I have never had an issue shopping here. This is one of the cleanest and organized Targets I've been in around Seattle. COVID-19 PANDEMIC // This Target adheres to the COVID restrictions so all shoppers are required to wear a mask in here. I have been going to Target for the 7 years I have lived close to Northgate, I use the pharmacy and have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars on clothing, books, food, and use the CVS inside. I suffer from crippling social anxiety, along with PTSD. I was going to pick up my clonazepam prescription tonight, and while there I wanted to grab a few food items. I was attacked by a bigger red headed lady, mid twenties, saying I cannot have my Emotional Support Animal with me. I then said Im pretty sure you cannot tell me that while I was calmly walking away, then she comes barreling down the aisle saying "Yes we can!" and then said "what do you even need the emotional support dog for?!" I replied I suffer from anxiety, and she says so does she, but she is not saying she understands what I am going through but that I cannot have the dog regardless. It felt like she wanted to pick a fight with me. It caused a scene in the store. I remained calm the whole time as to not make it worse. I told her the whole reason I was in the store was because I was picking up my anxiety meds, and she gave me such bad anxiety I was left shaking. It was by far the worst experience I ever had here. I usually love this target and most of the employees are the kindest you can ever meet. This felt like a attack, from her tone, the way she continued to follow me when I was already walking away anyway to check out and leave. It is sometimes in how you say things. I worked in retail most my life, your not supposed to go in to a situation all charged up and angry. I could feel her anger. For someone with social anxiety this is crippling and such a awful experience. She said it was the new store directors decision. Well guess I wont be spending my money there. Most of my wardrobe was from this very store. If your going to tell ppl to not have their dog, why go demanding to know how I suffer mentally? Then blow it off because you have anxiety to. I suffer from PTSD from DV. Social anxiety is part of that. I question the legality of her demanding to know what my disability is honestly. Beware if you have a emotional support pet, they will flip out on you and escalate the situation, and while it may be legal to tell me not to bring my dog, do not demand to know what my DISABILITY is. I was in the store ready to purchase a coffee maker 15 minutes before they closed. The items are tethered to the shelf so I had to walk to the checkout stand to find an employee who told me to wait in the isle and someone would get it. After 5 minutes I found another employee and went back and waited. No one came until the store manager shouted down the hall that I had to leave. After explaining, she apathetically shouted everyone with a key is gone and I had to get out, now. I'm on call tonight and now have to drive up to Walmart after wasting 45 minutes just to recieve inadequate customer treatment. For over 7 years and currently I live a few blocks from this target. This target for many many years used to be great. I could walk down the street and get almost anything I needed from clothing to electronics to lamps to toaster ovens to groceries. Unfortunately after the recent remodel this store has gone downhill!! The electronics department shrunk in half. The mens clothing department is one third in size of what it used to be. In almost all departments of the store they have tons and tons of empty shelves with stuff out of stock for months. The stores grocery department has empty or even half empty shelves. Earlier in the week I needed milk which is a basic item and this target was out of stock of milk for 4 days. Sometimes I will walk to this target and get lucky and I will find what I need. The other 50 percent of times I will be out of luck and they are out of stock of what I need. This afternoon I needed aaa batteries and they were completely out of stock of every brand. Recently I needed a new usb c cord for my cellphone and a new portable powerbank to charge my cellphone. Unfortunately this target has been out of both items for weeks. The best buy downstairs had both items in stock. For some reason the Lynnwood,Washington target is much much better than the northgate target. The Lynnwood target always has stuff in stock. Im very lucky that I own a car and drive so I can drive elsewhere to buy grocery items that this store ever has in stock. Either this targets store management is under ordering merchandise for this store or corporate doesn't send this store enough merchandise. I went for a small target run and when checking out, I told the Asian male checker that I didn't want to purchase the blanket and when I handed it to him, he scanned it. I told him no I don't want to purchase it. He continued to scan things, and I asked him to take the blanket off, he said OK and then gave me my total when I got my receipt. I realized the blanket was still charged on there. He said well how many items do you have? He started counting them and then said you don't want the blanket and I said no, I want you to take the blanket off, I never wanted to purchase it. He put the blanket in the bin to restock and I told him again no you still charged me for the blanket. You need to take it off the receipt. He said he simply can't do that and then started ringing someone else up. I asked him what do I do because I don't want this blanket And he said I will have to go upstairs to the returns. I had to bag all of my groceries by myself as he rang up other people and had to go upstairs and wait in line for 30 minutes to return a blanket. I never wanted to buy. I have been going to target since I was a child, it's conveniently close to my house, but I am appalled that the regular checker I have, that is usually so nice and friendly just brushed me off after he rang up a blanket after I continually told him I didn't want to buy it. I guess customer service for returning customers really sucks now. Sidenote: the lady at the returns said he should have refunded my blanket there and it was a very easy transaction. Northgate Target is still in the midst of a hefty overhaul remodel. I like the new updates they added and the new layout is nice and shopper friendly. This Target has two floors and offers a wide selection of products. This Target compared to many others I've been to is better than most of the rest. This Target keeps well stocked with almost all products, has great displays, and a helpful and friendly staff. The remodel is really working for their space where as some of the targets I've been to lately it's been a detriment. My main negatives have to do with parking, it gets very busy and it is difficult to get in and out with only one entrance and one exit for all vehicles. My other negative is a more personal one and may be more of an issue with Target corporate. I find the men's section incredibly lacking and quite poor in quality especially compared to the almost half floor of women's clothing they have available. I understand they probably make more sales on women's clothing but I can't even find shirts or pants I want to wear at this store. read more

Service and support have gone downhill. I went on a Monday afternoon (1/23/23) at about 4:30 to pick up a target gift card and card. I can't find the target gift cards so I go up to the register. Two clerks standing right at the register talking so I do the polite thing and wait for them to break their conversation. Their curt response is 'on break'. So I go search the store for some other staff as the only other clerk is at self check-out and she looks pretty busy. I come by another two staff on floor chatting. They at least acknowledge me, but direct me back to self check-out to get a card rather than calling to staff the register. Finally figure out where the target gift cards are with the help of the self-check out clerk who was great. So, four out of five staff are complete non-entities. Might as well have a bucket by the door for customers to throw cash in. If it wasn't for the self-check out clerk this would be a 1 star. read more

This is the tiniest Target I've ever bn to so it's a disappointment. Couldn't even find hangers I need so badly. Why sell mostly food?

I decided I needed a new pair of jeans and this Target was the closest one to me. I got there around 9 pm and found jeans that I liked. I asked an associate walking by to use the fitting room, keep in mind there are NO signs posted that say the fitting rooms are closed at anytime before they close the store, the associates continued walking past me talking to each other and rudely belted out "They close at 8" as they proceeded to ignore any other questions and kept walking and talking to each other. I proceeded to a little area directly by the fitting rooms with a table to set my items down in order to decipher which pair I would take home since I couldn't try them on. A different associate immediately walked up to my girlfriend and said "what are you doing back there?" I said, "deciding which of these I want to try on at home since you closed your fitting room without any notice to us customers." He then decided to make a 209 call on his radio which was clearly a call for security. This immediately made me feel that I was profiled due to the color of my skin. I have been a loyal paying customer of target since I was a young kid but this evenings incident has put a new face on target that I can longer stand with nor support or recommend to friends. I purchased all four pairs of jeans just so I could go home and try them on totaling $130. After I paid I needed the security tags removed. I asked the associate who then yelled, "I'm coming, I'm coming" like she didn't want to be there at all. With a receipt in hand I walked past a younger security girl who was talking in her radio saying they bought the jeans. When I returned home I thought deeply at what had just happened at this target location. I have decided to not even try these items on and to return them tomorrow and take my business elsewhere from now on. I have never felt like a criminal before today when your employees so rudely treated me as such. It is funny because there were at least 5 people stealing around us that they were not paying attention to, yet your team chose to follow me and watch us around the store. It has been an extremely unfortunate and frustrating experience. Though I will no longer be shopping at your store, I hope that bringing this to your attention will help you better improve your staff and how you choose to train them moving forward. read more

This Target is located on the second floor. Its located right across the North Gate Mall. So we ended up parking there and walking across. Luckily, we were there to get a DVD and nothing else. If we were purchasing big ticket items then this is definitely a bad bad idea. They have a couple floor garage right beside the store. I would recommend parking there then at least the walking distance is close. So this Target is reasonably sized like all other locations. Walked in and I have to say we were quite lucky. The DVD we were looking for had 2 left. So we picked it up from the electronic section and left. Not much service but this is Target though. read more

I went to this Target today to get some food. The floors are a little confusing at first because there are two. If you aren't familiar with this Target, just know produce and food is on the top floor. TV's, Kitchen items are at the bottom. It's also really handy if you have the target app or look on their website. You can click the Northgate store in particular to see what they in stock and exactly what Aisle it is in! It makes shopping and finding items super easy. Target had all of the food items I was looking for (I was nervous about the Kiwi's and Tilapia). I got all of my items and worked my way to the cash registers which had no lines. I was greeted by a really nice cashier! She asked me how my day was going and what I did for work. I explained to her I worked in HR and she said she thought I'd be great at it since I have friendly smile! She definitely gave off awesome BFF Grandma vibes. She was so nice, I wish I could remember her name. I left this Target with a smile on my face and walked back to my car. Also, another note - Parking is great and plentiful! From adorable kids fashions and shoes, to my favorite soy Caldrea candles for $10 (as opposed to $35 elsewhere) to Harajuku Mini and Hello Kitty, to woven Anthropology-like kitchen towels at a quarter of the price, you've got all the fun basics covered. While I miss Issac Mizrahi, Missoni, Liberty and some of the other great fashion partnerships that have come and gone, I'm always interested to see what you'll have up your sleeve. Target continues to marry great fashion brands with 'power to the people' products with great aplomb. Just two pet peeves which cause me to flinch down a star, what is with the move to sell more and more food? I wouldn't buy my food at Target and is it just me, or is it starting to get a little Walmart up in here? Also, you do not get an SNL skit in your honor (i.e. I'm speaking of lackluster service) unless its deserved. On the other hand, they do seem to have a little extra esprit de corps at this particular store. Ah well, can't have everything. With a few exceptions, I appreciate Target, because they have so much of what I need, and a lot of what I want. I bought new glasses at optical store I like the sales people But not customer service I had to call about my glasses was informed they were at the store all week I never heard a thing till I called in Was told they were busy call me back in 15 to 20 minutes I say 2 hours later I get the call That they were there all week Was told kinda rudely it was my fault they texted me twice never received it but they can't call I really thought I'd be getting a email . I'm used to a regular shopping experience at my prior target in Portland. I've worked retail before, I know the customer isn't always right. But when I show the cashier that my gift card has $50 on it through their company website, literally typing in the gift card # and pin # in front of her just to prevent any miscommunication, she still says I'm wrong? "I've worked here for 7 years and I know the system, your card isn't going to work here!" Ok boomer. Customer service desk doesn't deny my claims that I'm right, but only twiddling their thumbs. Keep in mind, I have frozen goods in my cart and specifically selected those items last to prevent melting, this is pertinent for the next part: I mention that I'm not trying to have my stuff melt, when a random rep, Brandon, not involved in the transaction, butts in and says "it's pretty cold outside your stuff won't melt." Peculiar, I like to keep my car warm so it's definitely not going to help the thawing. Finally a manager comes by, and with the swift movement of her index finger, ring finger, middle finger, and pinky finger is able to ring me up and validate my $50 gift card in less than a minute. I spend a lot of time in the Northgate area and frequent this target a lot. They have a lot of parking in their 4+ level parking garage. I've learned their layout, so I go straight to the areas I need and rarely walk around the store just browsing. I like their living area and also on the 2nd level (upper level) they put out their seasonal displays. Currently it is Easter and Spring/Summer patio and yard gear. read more

I really love Target. This one takes the cake. Two stories with an escalator just for your shopping cart so you don't have to trek clear across to some random corner for the elevator, free garage parking, grocery store included and great customer service will bring me back again and again. You can't get a real grocery shopping trip done here due to the super small selection of produce, lack of deli/butcher/bakery and such but for snacks, pantry items and toiletries they have you covered. Registers are on both floors making my shopping trip easier. read more
