Going downhill. Self checkout continues to weave to the back of the aisles like a dang labyrinth. Will be 1 (or at the most 2 if you're lucky) cashiers to actually check you out. Saw on the app a product was available in store, get there and they don't even have it on the shelf. Not even a sticker for it... so was it ever even part of the offerings??? Attempted to buy some oranges and several bags were wilted, soggy and rotted. I tried for navals and clementines. Left with nothing. Staff stands around socializing while we all stand in line like ants. The staff alert light went on as I had a gift card and I had to turn around and signal the staff person to help me. read more

Good variety of whatever you need but pass on the produce. First mistake was ordering produce online. I ended up with bruised bananas, a moldy pineapple, and a rotten watermelon. Target will refund you if you notify them but it's still inconvenient to have to go back to the store to purchase edible produce. I've purchased strawberries here in the past as well and they were moldy within a day. read more

As we were driving in this cold, cloudy, foggy weather, we noticed that my husband's windshield wipers were not cleaning right...so we stopped at this Target to look at their selection of wipers. They had a very good selection of them and they carried Rain-X, which is a top national brand for wipers. It was very easy to find the right size for the driver and the passenger side and we easily replaced them. Target sometimes is thought of and seen as a clothing and fashion store, but many would be surprised about how completer their auto, home and electronics section are. read more

Target in Smithfield is located in a large shopping center called The Crossing at Smithfield. Some other businesses at the shopping center are Crumbl Cookies, Dave's Fresh Marketplace, Staples, Yankee Candle, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Barnes & Noble. There are only 2 other Targets in RI and they are in Lincoln and Warwick. No problem finding parking, there are plenty of spots. The aisles were very organized and stocked. I saw many employees walking around the store restocking. I always enjoy looking at the Bullseye's Playground & Dollar Spot section to find $1, $3 and $5 items. These are a great bargain. The Target App is an easy way to shop and save. If there is a specific item you are looking for, the app will tell you the exact aisle and how many are in stock. There are self-checkout stations and cashier lanes. I went to a cashier and she was friendly. Target has a free membership option called Target Circle that offers every member access to automatic deals applied at checkout, earn Target Circle Rewards, and save with personalized deals. I have the Target Circle Card (previously known as the Target RedCard) that will offer an extra 5% off purchases, access to no-rush returns, and free two-day shipping on Target's site. This is my go to location in Rhode Island.. The store is always very organized. Great selection of items - good discounts and sales, everything is usually priced accurately. If not, they will adjust it for you if needed . If you are shopping for an online pick up order - it's very easy to navigate the app, ready within two hours! read more

It is 4:45pm. People are running errands on their way home from work. Target has one register open. The line to the one open register is backed up to the self check out line, which has extended to the health & beauty section. There is absolutely nothing in Target that would be worth standing in one of those lines. I can pick up groceries from Dave's (which is in this same plaza!) or Stop & Shop and anything else I can order from Amazon and have it delivered to my door. read more

Only ever 1 cashier, and one time I saw a disabled old lady in a wheel chair ask for help and they said that she HAD to use self checkout and they could not do it for her because it is SELF checkout. Okay like how selfish and ignorant do you have to be to just not help this poor old lady. Also there is always random stuff scattered throughout the store. This is the worst managed Target I have been to--and I have been to a lot. Always messy and disorganized--racks left in the aisles and items misplaced--and comically incompetent staff. I prefer to Kohls, even though it is more expensive, so I don't have to deal with the sensory overload and aggravation that is this store. read more

One of the worse big chain stores for customer service I have been in. I bought 1 item and out of 14 (?) Registers, 2 open plus maybe 4-5 self checkouts. And this location also has a grocery side which adds to the volume going through the registers. No thanks; thankfully the kind lady before me who had an overloaded carriage let me go before her. I can understand the need for brick and mortars to control costs, but making customers have to wait a long time to check out only makes people turn to ordering online. Self checkout section had a line that went way into the main front aisle. This set-up and process needs to be re-examined because it's just not efficient. read more

I just left the target in Smithfield. There was one register open and the self-serve. The line was extremely long. They wonder why more people are shopping online versus going to an actual store. This is why! The customer service is horrible. Even with the self check out, there was an extremely long line. People have better things to do with their time, then stand in line because they don't want to pay people to work the registers. I will make it a point not to shop at target anymore. As of lately all the employees I have encountered here have been amazing! They have everything you need at a reasonable price l, just don't be fooled by the dollar section- for $3-$5 you can get those items better quality at tj maxx. Lately I recommend doing the drive up orders or the pick up orders because they're seamless, simple and easy! Also LOVE the starbucks here!! One thing they should do is open more self check outs!!!! Lately I have been doing grocery shopping here as well this way it's a one stop shop; I get my food and my essentials weekly in one stop! read more

The store is disgusting as product is not organized on shelfs and left on the floor. Aisles are blocked with product left on the floor so customer need to weave thru one at a time. read more

This store has a great layout, it's always clean and the staff are super friendly. They offer so many cute items that I dont technically need but find myself wanting. i ordered a Nintendo switch on line and paid for it for pick up at the North Haven store. when I got there to pick it up I was told that I was too late and they had already sent it back. Apparently it has to be picked up the same day that it is ordered.I then ordered the same one from Walmart for pick up. They gave me 4 days to pick it up. They brought it out to my car! it was so much easier! read more

Very clean store, typical to other Target's of course. It's large, usually busy so you'll experience a line in some fashion. I prefer coming to this Target as I feel they have the nicest staff of all the other's I've shopped at. Parking an ample, and it's located within Smithfield Crossings so you're also in walking distance to other stores. read more

Complete jerks. They lie and steal your items. They lost a bag of items that I paid for and they wasn't in my carriage when I called they said they had them when I wanted to pick them up they said they lost the bag and to come get them replaced. They then had to look up my transaction which took forever but then still did not give me my items. Then the manager accused me of wanting $250 worth of items replaced because when he asked what was the total of my transaction to look up again I answered. The items was $35. He then said still he won't do it. Complete jerk. read more

After 18 check ins I'll finally leave a review. Retail stores are tough because most times you run into a few unhappy workers and sometimes they make the experience unpleasant. This Target has never hit a bad nerve in my body. The workers are always so helpful and always have a smile. Customer service is never and issue here. Also the store is always so clean, I can't get over how big this store is but how well they keep up with it. It's def one of the better looking targets. They have all your essential needs. Basically everything you need in one store. Market and shopping all in one shop forget the market go to target. I also love the prices. Don't trust that the employees know how to reserve a "hot" item. My son is as able to order the new XBox series S... it was supposed to be held until today 11/13 when I was going to be able to pick it up after returning from vacation. Went straight from the airport to Target only to find out the XBox was not there. I had already been charged for the system which can not be found anywhere at this time. So one of the employees must have seen that it wasn't picked up instantly and bought it or sold it to a friend. Let me just say that I am more than furious right now. The poor Target team member that had to come tell me that the X box was not in the store got the end of a long day of travel pissed off mom yelling at him in front of a full order pick up line! read more

Plenty of what you need during these Covid times. This store seems more spread out than others and is always super clean, well stocked, and organized. They also have the biggest Starbucks of any Target store I've been too- a plus, except you can't drink while walking around the store so get yourself a treat on the way out.... read more

Cash is a dead went to target to make a purchase went to two different cashiers both of them did not accept American currency$$$ the second one gave me attitude that I wanted to use Cash as if there was something wrong with that! I thought we lived in America maybe I'm wrong? It was explained to me that we had a change shortage although every time I go to Dunkin' Donuts and other places it seems to be no change shortage just at big box stores pretty sure they just want you to use your card to get interest out of you just a thought. read more

A lot of their grocery items are either expired or the shelf is empty and the employees (for the most part) are RUDE!!! An amazing location to shop. This is a very clean target with all employees cleaning nonstop. I am greeted each week by a very friendly and personable employee Michele. I just went in to buy a pair of apple air pods at 8:15pm,walked down to where all the electronics were,,looked around and asked a young girl stocking shelf's if she could help. She said no and called the person that deals with that department. About five mins later this girl who looked miserable with badly died purple hair comes walking to me. I ask specifically for a pair of air buds. Not the pros just airbuds. This is where things really pissed me off. The girl says they ARE ALL OUT NONE LEFT IN THE STORE. So I go meet up with my with explain what happen. My wife then says let's order them on line. We ordered them from that store,,I didn't think it would go threw because the purple girl said they had none. About 20 mins later we get a text from target saying THAT MY FUCKING ORDER IS READY!!!! I go and wait curbside and they bring out my air pods. I WAS REALLY PISSED OFF. I WALKED IN AND SPOKE TO THE TEAM LEAD THAT WHO WAS IN CHARGE. What have you DONE, Target?! I went into your Smithfield store to get some cereal and it looks like Bed Bath & Beyond ate a Sephora and then threw up into a Pottery Barn's mouth. They've taken down the massive red TARGET sign and replaced it with their symbol and it looks like an ad for the world's biggest rectal cavity. I walked in and immediately wanted to change my name to Karen, hold a soy latte in one hand and a cell phone in the other and sign up for hot yoga classes and date a guy named Braden. Found out that the new Gloomhaven expansion was a Target exclusive, and that (according to the website) they had some in the North Attleboro store. Drove up, and couldn't find any. Was told be multiple associates that, because they "didn't have a location", that they'd be impossible to find in the back. They didn't bother LOOKING, mind you, just told me that and went about their business. Disappointed, I drove back home, but on the way, decided to check my local Smithfield Target, even though the website said they didn't have any. FIRST person I spoke to (believe his name was Jeremy) not only knew what Gloomhaven was, but also said "it says we have ONE... it'll take me like five minutes, but if you've got the time, I'll look!", and promptly dove into the back room stock. A few minutes later, he comes back out with the ONE copy they had in the store. THAT'S customer service! So glad I stopped in, so glad the staff actually helps people (and all masked up, properly)! I bought a ps4 game on line and had it mailed to me. It was loose in the box and I was afraid it would be scratched, so I took it unopened to the store and asked for an even exchange. OH NO. They had to return it and re-sell me one at $20 MORE because they do not price match their own products at Christmas time. Greed cost them that sale and any others in the future I may have made. As far as Targets go, run of the mill. Needed a few things and since I was in the area thought I'd stop in. Everything is easy to find. Staff is a bit pretentious. Guess it must be because of the area. Not very fond of it. (The area that is). Otherwise, it's just what you expect from a Target. It does have a Starbucks in it so that does have that going for it.
