I was unable to find an email or anyway to compliment the Westland Michigan store on Warren Avenue directly.  However, I wanted someone SOMEWHERE to know how delighted I have always been with this store, and continue to be. It has always been a very clean and welcoming store.   I LOVE that music is not piped in loudly while I shop!  I've had amazing service at this store forever, and this did not weaken during the pandemic.   Everything is always so well organized for checking out, store layout, etc.    Employees seem happier overall here than they do at many other establishments. I thought it was just the best store...and then it got better... Then I discovered Target Pick-up.   While I have picked up from Krogers many times, Target became a whole new FAR MORE POSITIVE experience for me.   I am smitten.  I now do a Target pick-up at least once a week for grocery and toiletry essentials.   Yes, Kroger is going to be sad at how much less I am spending with them now. I love the feature that allows me to tell Target that "I'm on my way" in the app, and then I only wait in the parking lot for a 1-2 minutes before my order is delivered.   Never has anything been done so quickly and efficiently ANYWHERE -   AND the people always smile when they come to my car. I just wanted the Westland Store to know that I have noticed.  This store is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.  Thank you Westland - you make my days brighter. Update your checkout area. The two self-checkouts are a joke. Never stocked with bags or printer paper. No room to place items anywhere. Line is always backed up because only one or two cashiers are open. read more

This Target is kept very clean. The staff here is dedicated and energetic. The products are displayed in an attractive and easy to review manner. The aisles are kept clear. Prices are reasonable. There is plenty of parking. I really appreciate the personal service provided by the team members at this location. I shopped with my daughter, she was purchasing a small trash can, we shopped throughout the store without a buggy so and our hands were full so I opened the trash can lid and put a few items in there to assist me with not dropping them while getting to the register, approaching the register an employee ran up behind me and said I need to check your trash can for merchandise, I said sure but I put my stuff in there to make it up front, she said so you have things in there, I said well yes and repeated what I had just told her, and I opened the trash can, she said alright and disappeared, like wtf if you were busy watching me thinking I was trying to take something you obviously seen me struggling to carry everything and you could have brought us a buggy fool azz people! Stopped in Target to do a couple returns. It was very fast and efficient. They don't need to scan your card and it automatically goes back on your card which is nice. I had the wrong receipt for one item and they were able to do a credit card look up to return the item which was convenient. I wish every store had this capability. The cashier was also very helpful and friendly. When in Target, you kind of have to stop at Starbucks and a chai tea latte was calling my name. The barista was fast and efficient. I was kind of surprised that they only had one girl cashiering, making the coffee and bouncing over to the Pizza Hut food counter as well to serve customers there too. Seems like that could be problematic if they have a rush of business. The latte was good and I was served quickly but the seating in their cafe area was pretty dirty, and not too surprised since they were understaffed in this area. I also breezed through the clothing section. I really like how Target has revamped their clothing section to have boutique style shop-in-shops where they pair together color coordinated outfits and hook-up pieces and accessories such as purses, belts and jewelry. This visual presentation is a great touch in helping customers piece items together and style outfits. This location's women's clothing department was very clean, organized, well-sized and shoppable. Have my eye on a couple items but alas I made a narrow escape, not purchasing anything today. I will be back though. I have a love hate relationship with Target. I looove Target because they literally have everything, but hate that I stop in for shampoo and every time end up seeing a million other things I "need" and end up spending way too much, ha! read more

I don't know where to begin for Target, so I might as well start at the beginning. I haven't been inside of a Target store in years, it brought back a lot of memories. Growing up, I was a member of the upper middle class in the suburbs, via my parents thus we spent a lot of time in Target stores. We would go at least once every week or two. My dad would always say, "they got the same ol' shit." I used to look at the legos and video games and be in awe as a child. Now as an adult, I look at the prices of them legos I bugged my dad for and feel awful. Anyways fast forward to 2019. Today I went to Target of Westland to get more panties; or boxer briefs as the kids these days call them. I was also hoping to score a case of beer, since they have apparently started selling groceries here. I was really bummed out to find that they don't really cater to selling undies for large, muscular, voluptuous men such as myself. I did happen to find the one pack of 2XL underwear they had. Much to my dismay, I learned that Target either does not carry beer or they hide it very well. My review might not be fair... Target has just about everything and I see how middle aged women rack up huge credit card bills here. It just so happens that I was looking for the two items which are not in great supply here. read more

Im not giving target 1 Star, I'm giving Lisa 1 Star. She was our check out lady and was a bit rude. My wife and I come here every grocery trip and never have any issues, I actually enjoy shopping here. But today Lisa was our check out person and made a few rude and demeaning comments like she was talking down to me. I did not appreciate them, I was speechless in fact. I was there today, at target and there customer service has gone away. It was 11:30 am with only one lane open and a employee in line acting inpatient and as soon as a lane opened the cashier said I can service the next person in line the inpatient employee jumped in front of paying customers to get her things ranged up without thinking about the long line of customers waiting......when I complained to the cashier he was equally rude.......I want be back no time soon..... read more

I rarely go to this location and I was reminded why. I was passing by and stopped in to this location to grab (5) items. As I preceded to the check out, this location has not updated the checkouts. They have organized 2 self check outs that have NO PLACE TO SIT ANYTHING. It should really be for 2 items or less. As I preceded to use my target app to scan my barcode and continue to pay the employee watching over the TWO self checkout machines, then ask me if I scanned my Dr.Pepper. I felt uncomfortable and felt racially profiled being I am a black woman and I was confused as why she asked me that question when she can see I have scanned all of my (5) items with no place to sit anything. They need to either take the self check outs away. As a CUSTOMER I FEEL the self checkout they have organized are good for no one. They have no space for barely 2 bags it fit. I feel like every time I come to this location I am racially profiled and it's unfair and uncomfortable. read more

The Westland Target's electronics people are unhelpful especially Christina who barks at you and doesn't help you at all. She also tells you they don't have items when I know they're in the back. She won't go the extra mile to help you. The cashiers though are nice and friendly. read more

This is the closest target to my location. I shop here frequently. I'm here roughly around 4x a week. Almost kind of embarrassing LOL. I could only give them three stars because I was here Black Friday and purchased a few random things. One of these things being a bag of $3 Doritos. I came home to unload my bags to find no Doritos. I immediately called the store to see if I left them at checkout. Well I sure did! However, the receipt disappeared into thin air and without the receipt I couldn't claim my bag or Doritos, even if they remember me. Now what's a girl to do? read more

Wow. Used to go to this target all the time because they usually focus on customer service. Apparently that is no longer the case. Ran in here at 3:30 pm on a Sunday and they only had three total lines open. There were multiple employees working the floor but only three registers open despite over 40 people being in line. My advice visit Walmart with their new self checkout or one of the other two targets down the road that have self checkouts and 4 to 5 lines open read more

Don't get me wrong, I love the store. Good products, clean store, good prices. But the checkout process is the WORST. I don't know why Targets haven't adopted the self-checkout process, but your check-our process is extremely long and it's going to cause me personally to not shop here anymore. You've got 12-ish lanes, but you only have 3 employees working the lanes? Customers check out in droves and the next think you know there's 10 people in every line. And THEN you decide to radio for help? Come on, people. I get not putting employees on a lane that could be better utilized somewhere else. To the other MORONS that reviewed this target by whining the workers were stocking the shelves during the day, well you're a couple idiots. Yay! Target! And like others the Westland one is wonderfully done. From the Attractive women walking the floors and buying things to the little old lady with orange hair putting away clothing this store does things the right way! Clearance items are always easy to find and are labeled accordingly on an interior end cap and a little red sticker. Most all of the employees are really friendly and ask if you need help. Tuesday is the day you need to go because I have yet to see a place that matches they're new release prices! I actually left Walmart and found a DVD 5 dollars cheaper here. The carts are generally clean and smooth running. The Starbucks is a nice touch, The food court has a nice lil value to it with drinks and pretzels and finally they have a wonderful and knowledgeable pharmacy! So I rate this 5 stars because the store is run the way it should be! read more

This store starts the closing countdown at 930 instead of 945pm and continues every 5 minutes till 10pm, and it's obnoxious. Every other local Target starts at 945. This location makes you feel rushed out. Other locations expedite your trip by asking what they can help you find rather than harass you out of the store via loudspeaker. Only shop at this location if I'm in the area and can't make it to another store. read more

The store was clean top to bottom. That was kind of impressive. The staff was decent for when I need it. There was enough lines open so where there wasn't too much of a backup I waited approximately 3 minutes and line. Not bad, LOL. Many selections of clothes there right now being a springtime. Clean and ready for the day. Disappointed that the handicap cart wasn't fully charged 15 minutes after opening. Had to navigate through three different departments to compete my shopping and all the aides were free of stock obstructions. Not sure if it was my arrival or he Sara Lee delivery van but one of us caused about 10 employees smoking and swilling coffee to hustle back inside the store. That size group may be a bit large for a break and still be able to offer guest service. On June 29, 2016 I visited for a return and a small purchase. While there I learned that their registers were working sporadically across the guest service lanes. This caused rising temps of the guests and the cashiers repeatedly saying "It's not my fault talk to management. I'd stay away for awhile as this problem e used Monday as well but I didn't learn the reason for lines that day. On July 11, 2016 Another quick visit exchanging a phone case for my wife. I arrived around 9 am and noticed the employee parking area much fuller than the guest area. Upon walking into store I took notice of freshly thrown mulch in the beds. The landscapers or someone need to come back and sweep curbs though. Continuing into store I noticed the employee smoke lounge in full use and a large amount of litter and cigarette butts still needing to be swept up from earlier in June. My exchange was handled appropriately by Christine and Stacey, thank you. I was left with a bit extra as Christine offered a 10% discount as the box she unlocked from storage was opened. So I took off in my Amigo shopping cart and tried to find a couple of items to buy with the difference. I found navigating the grocery aisles a bit tight as there were many empty stock carts left in the narrow lanes. I must have been on camera as I navigated through as just after clearing first trouble area an announcement came over the store asking the team members to remove these carts from the aisles. It's your average Target (I happen to love Target though). It's pretty easy to find someone and I can't think of a negative experience with any of the team members, they've always been very helpful. The toy section can be in a state of disarray (kids do that), but other sections I visit are well-maintained. read more

Every time I go to the Westland Target, I get nothing but below average customer service. I never get acknowledged and usually have to hunt down employees. I get brushed off and lied to 3 out of 4 situations, and I leave without making a purchase. I won't bother going there anymore since I feel I'm a bother to them.
